Bärlin Curry in Paderborn

I ordered and the ground beef was completely raw inside!!! I only noticed it later and I really hope I don't get seriously ill! I've tried calling but no one answers!

Berlin Curry is great. Great idea and perfectly executed. I like it. The open concept is also great. Berlin Currywurst was truly Berlin. Thank you very much.

Bärlin Curry is centrally located in the city and also offers seating in its conservatory. The staff is friendly, and the food selection is good. The excellent fries and the delicious filled baguettes are particularly recommended. Highly recommended for both takeout and dining in.

We went there as a family for lunch. We each ordered a Manta platter plus a drink. We didn't study the menu too closely and just ordered, knowing what we wanted. In retrospect, I realized that we had essentially ordered the "Siegessäule" menu (€10.90 each), except that I had listed it individually when ordering. When I received the food, I politely asked if I had understood correctly that it would have been cheaper as a menu, just because I hadn't ordered it that way, and had now paid almost €15 more. They initially talked around the issue a bit, and the third time I asked, they just said, "Yes, then it would have been cheaper"... so, basically, our bad luck. I don't think it's right to take advantage of people's ignorance instead of pointing out when ordering that there are cheaper options. I've seen it differently at other restaurants. It has nothing to do with service :(( Especially since even when I asked, they didn't respond. It was our first time there and, unfortunately, also our last.

Good food. They named the dishes after Berlin districts, which I find funny. I had a so-called Kotti, a baguette with small beef meatballs and salad. It was plentiful for just under €10. The price is definitely reasonable. You can eat outside under cover, even in cool temperatures; there are heaters installed.

The regional dishes, in particular, taste like grandma's home-made food. You feel welcome and completely at home here. We noticed the shop while walking past while on vacation. It looked inviting, and it is. It's certainly a great way to start another evening or finish work. We chose it as our main course. We enjoyed the food; for a snack bar, there's nothing to criticize, but rather something positive to highlight. While we wouldn't do something like this again, we would be happy if there was something like this in our city.

Currywurst and fries were great

The currywurst and fries... amazing! The pop-singing blond maestro is always friendly and has a saying on his lips: unbeatable!

On this really beautiful and warm summer day, I went to this snack bar with a dear friend, as we have often done before, and after ordering two veal currywursts, each with a side of chips and two drinks, I paid around €26! I have never before eaten such muck labelled as sausage!... - we have been sick ever since!...->>definitely stay away from it if dizziness and nausea are not your best friends<<!

ABSOLUTE CATASTROPHE – I was tricked into giving them meat even though I ordered vegan! I ordered the Koro Curry here because it was clearly labeled "vegan" on the menu. When the sausage arrived, it looked extremely like pork in its intestines. I thought, "Wow, if this is vegan, then it's a pretty good imitation." I couldn't taste it because of the thick curry sauce. But my gut feeling warned me, and after eating, I asked. And what did I find out? It was real pork sausage. An animal tortured to death in its own intestines – absolutely disgusting for me as a vegan and a real shock. The reason given: The dish is only vegan if you use falafel instead of sausage. Excuse me?! Falafel is not a sausage. If I order a currywurst, I expect the option labeled "vegan" to actually be vegan – WITHOUT having to guess what strange additional options I have to choose. This type of labeling is extremely misleading and, in my opinion, borders on deception. I simply find it disrespectful to foist this on people who are vegan for ethical reasons. I felt really sick afterward—and I still feel sick when I think about it. I'll never come back and can only strongly advise all vegans and vegetarians against it.

The food was soggy, the table was sticky and covered in dirty dishes. The toilet was absolutely filthy. The men seemed to have no idea where to clean what. Never again!

Truly delicious. The food was ready quickly, and the atmosphere was very pleasant and relaxed. There was a wide selection for children.

We've been there twice now. The first time was very disappointing. However, months later, due to the very positive reviews, we decided to try again. The burgers we ordered were once again simply inedible. The patty was still half-raw ground beef, and the burger was completely soggy. The staff were clearly overwhelmed and unfriendly both times. The restroom is unkempt, dark, and the door is blocked by a trash can (couldn't be closed?!). Sorry, a nice atmosphere alone doesn't make a good restaurant. Absolutely not a recommendation.

I was absolutely thrilled. I ate there for the very first time today, or rather, I took it home with me. The fries were extremely crispy, delicious, absolutely fantastic. I had a cheeseburger with it. I'm so thrilled, I could have licked the packaging. So, this won't be my first or last visit, but the first of many.

Totally friendly - super delicious food - TOP

The burgers are good, but not perfect. What's missing? First of all, all the food is way too salty. I'd like to have a choice of medium or well-done burgers. In my hometown of Paderborn, Berlin Curry is relatively high up in the rankings, but definitely not at the top. Work on it! Edit: May 26, 2025. We were there yesterday, and overall, I was very satisfied. I have to point out one thing, though: the waitresses wear those stylish black plastic gloves, even when clearing up and wiping the table. I don't see any hygienic advantage in continuing to work in the kitchen with the same gloves afterwards. I hope that doesn't happen again.

Price-performance ratio is right.

The food was okay, the fries tasted good. But the Coke was just water with cheap syrup, and it only tasted like Coke if you tried it with a lot of imagination. Charging €3.50 for that is outrageous.

The food fills you up and is porridge-worthy

At Bärlin Curry you can eat and drink in a relaxed manner. Man always sit outside. The seating options are divided into 2 categories, 1 area is completely outside. The second area is covered so that you don't get wet when it rains. The wall is designed so that you can see everything, but it also doesn't create an unpleasant draft when it's stormy outside. In winter you can also sit outside here because there are radiant heaters in the covered area, so you don't have to freeze even in winter if you sit outside here at Berlin Curry.

We had been standing in front of the store for almost 20 minutes, even though there were only about 4 orders (persons or couples) in front of us. When we finally arrived at the ordering counter we were left standing with “a moment”. After another 10-15 minutes of waiting, we still couldn't order anything from any of the four employees present. Meanwhile, sausages burned and orders got mixed up. So we decided to leave again.

The food tasted good, but the baked potato seemed to have been in the oven for far too long. The peel had already dried up several millimeters thick and could not be eaten. The prices and service are OK, but I found the cleanliness questionable in some places. The small wooden trays in particular made an extremely unkempt impression to me.

I waited over an hour for a cheeseburger and a wrap.

The food was quite good so far, the sweet potato fries were a bit too dark, but the burgers were very tasty, the service leaves a lot to be desired, unfriendly employees make a face behind the counter that makes you feel hungry. Maybe a little more motivation or maybe think about changing jobs. (I come from the catering industry myself so I know what I'm talking about)

Very expensive and food doesn't taste good and cola is overpriced and mixed with water.

It's a mystery to me how you can mess up an order of three things. Order: 1x bratwurst, 1x curry sausage, 1x fries Get: 2x currywurst, 1x fries. Now I have to remove the sauce from the currywurst so my 4 year old can eat it. Thanks for nothing! Not only are you totally slow, no, this is the second time you've messed up the order. No guest should take or order anything from you without checking. In any case, that was our last time with you, for such a price it was easily the worst service in Paderborn.

We really enjoyed the food and the ambience. There is a 1 star deduction for the price-performance ratio. We paid 35 euros for that bit.

Ambience and service (self-service) are quite good. But unfortunately the price/performance doesn't fit at all.

I gave my honest opinion about this company, but it seems like critical but fair 3-star reviews keep getting deleted. It is of course a company's right to take care of its image, but shouldn't this be done through excellent service and quality rather than by removing customer reviews? Unfortunately, this makes me doubt the authenticity of the reviews visible here. It's a shame, because transparency and real customer feedback are very important for a trustworthy decision. In my original review I simply wrote that the burgers used to be bigger and have become smaller over the last year. Quality is good!

We ordered with Lieferando and were very disappointed. The delivery was half an hour late, despite pre-ordering, and the food was cold. Unfortunately, two of the eleven dishes were missing. Subsequent complaints were not handled in a particularly customer-friendly manner. The food, however, was interesting in its composition and tasty. Overall, however, it was far too expensive for the value.

The Brandenburger dish is a mess, the taste is bad. You can't understand the good reviews. 1st and last time

I'd like to share my personal experience at Bärlin Curry. Unfortunately, during my visit, I didn't find the food to be to my taste. Furthermore, the portion sizes seemed small for the price. This is my subjective opinion, and I would like to emphasize that tastes vary.

My visit to Berlin Curry was a true feast for the senses - a culinary walk through the heart of the capital! The fries, crispy and golden brown, were the perfect accompaniment to the legendary currywurst. The sausage itself, juicy and tender, embedded in a wonderfully spicy sauce that literally tasted like Berlin. It was like experiencing a bite of Berlin's soul itself - authentic, inimitable and simply delicious. Anyone who is currently in Paderborn should not miss this taste experience. 5 stars!
