A very cozy atmosphere with great service and a great chef. Stylishly decorated with a beautiful view of the sea. Super dog- and child-friendly. The food was fantastic! We were all thrilled. There was a huge selection, with dishes perfectly suited to the seasons. We'd love to come back ☺️

I've rarely visited such an extraordinary restaurant. Exceptional because you could choose from the menu without thinking, it's always freshly prepared, freshly cooked, and incredibly delicious. The wait staff and the "kitchen fairy" are very friendly, accommodating, and always in a good mood. The barge is decorated with attention to detail, immediately creating a feel-good atmosphere. I've been there four times in three weeks; it's a shame I don't live nearby. Thank you to the entire Barge team for the cozy evenings!

The Barkasse is a small restaurant, located directly behind the dike on Schönberger Strand, with a very pleasant ambiance. The menu should offer something for every taste, and the service is extremely friendly and attentive. The music is very pleasant and not too loud or intrusive. The prices are completely reasonable. The portions can be described as generous, and everything was extremely tasty and of high quality. We would gladly make the trip again and spend another, in every respect, successful evening there. My husband had the Holsteiner Dreilei (three-course Holstein dish), consisting of three potato pancakes, a large portion of the very best smoked salmon, fried shrimp dip, and the best red herring salad we've ever eaten. I opted for the Holsteiner Surf & Turf. A generous portion of cold, pink-roasted roast beef, the aforementioned smoked salmon, fried treble hookahs in their shells, dip, and a small salad with a large portion of fresh North Sea crab. It looks a little different in the pictures, as we shared the individual components. We started with a delicious baguette with homemade aioli. The wine selection is very decent, and you really don't get a Laphroaig in warmed glasses as a digestif everywhere.

Highly recommended. Unfortunately, the portions are too large for me. But the food is of high quality. Very friendly service. You can sit outside with a sea view, and the interior is very elegantly decorated. The prices are typical these days.

It was only 3 p.m. and everything was still nice and empty. We sat upstairs so we could see the sea. The friendly waitress often had to walk for us, which we felt very sorry for. She said she was used to it. And we all had to smile. The interior was also very nicely decorated. As were the restrooms. Spotlessly clean. If we go on vacation in the area again, we will definitely eat there again.

Very good food with good service

A wonderful evening in a great atmosphere, with excellent service and fantastic food. We had the vegan burger with kale and the schnitzel. An absolute taste experience. A special tip for dessert: Be sure to try the ice cream cake! And after the super delicious rhubarb spritzer, you won't be able to drink store-bought spritzer again. We went for dinner for our wedding anniversary. The weather was very warm, so the outside was very busy. We sat inside with our two dogs. That wasn't a problem either. The service was excellent again. The food was amazing. Dessert: Belgian waffles were a dream. The whole team was very busy, but no one was in a bad mood and always had a smile for their guests. Simply professional. And you know exactly how everyone is feeling when it's time to call it a night. Kudos to you. Keep up the good work. Sometimes I wonder how a cook can cook for so many guests all by herself in such a small kitchen? Magic? Thank you, thank you, thank you. We'll be back. Best wishes to you all.

We wanted to eat here again; we'd been there before, post-coronavirus, and I wasn't convinced. So, we gave it a second chance, and it was definitely worth it. I still think it's nicely decorated, but the hall-like atmosphere/acoustics bother me a bit. The food, on the other hand, was incredibly delicious; from the appetizer to the ice cream cake, everything was very fresh, regional, very well prepared, and lovingly presented. We'll definitely be back.

All the staff are very friendly. We're delighted that we were lucky enough to be able to take part in this special event, breakfast on the beach. We would have liked to stay longer, but it was simply too hot in the sun.

The restaurant is stylishly yet comfortably furnished. The fish platter for two was exceptionally delicious and plentiful. The service was very attentive and friendly, yet pleasantly unobtrusive. We felt very comfortable and would happily return anytime.

We came in spontaneously and were seated right away. Our larger dog was allowed in, of course. We were given a special spot to the side for that reason. The food was excellent, plentiful, and the service was very friendly and helpful. Prices are a bit higher due to the holiday region. We'll be back next time we're in the area.

Hello, you can eat very tasty here 😋😋!! The waiter always has a relaxed saying on his lips and the price-performance ratio is also ok. The only thing that wasn't so nice was that there were weeds sprouting on the terrace and the view of the sea was obscured by dingy windows. Too bad.

Nice atmosphere and great service We discovered this nice restaurant during one of our visits to the beach in Schönberg and had dinner there two days later. In addition to the terrific antipasti as a starter, there was the salmon fillet with sweet potato fries and burrata on salad. What should be highlighted is the fantastic service. The lady was really very nice and accommodating, which confirmed the impression I had already made on the phone. All in all a successful evening!

Um zuerst das einzig positive zu erwähnen: Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Dafür 5 Punkte. Das wir bei der Tischreservierung fehlerhaft gesetzt wurden, Nebensache... Wir bestellen eine Fischplatte für zwei Personen zum Preis von 70 EUR die auch sehr schnell serviert wurde und auch reichlich belegt war. Der Geschmack ließ aber sehr zu wünschen übrig. Die nur 3 Sorten warmer Fisch wurden auf Beziehungsweise neben dem kalten Fisch angerichtet. Der Tintenfisch waren Ringe wie aus dem Beutel vom Supermarkt. Die Muscheln waren winzig klein und einige leere Muschelschalen auf dem Teller. Dem ganzen Gericht fehlte es an Geschmack. Da wir das Ganze nicht aufessen wollten wurde es uns eingepackt. ( plus 2 EUR für die Verpackung) Ein Minnischälchen ca. 10 Milliliter zubestellte Alioli wurde mit 2,50 EUR berechnet. Das Essen fand Sonntag Abend statt. Und der eingepackte Räucherlachs sofort in unserem Kühlschrank eingelagert. Am Dienstag Morgen war der Räucherlachs geschimmelt. Ein guter und frischer Räucherfisch ist normalerweise tagelang haltbar. AUF MEIN TELEFON GESPRÄCH MIT DER CHEFIN ERFOLGTE EINE MINDERWERTIGE ENTSCHULDIGUNG. Dieses Lokal betreten wir nie mehr wieder! We were here on vacation and spontaneously got a table over the phone. The information on the phone was very friendly (unfortunately we had a different experience from other restaurants in the area) and we were all the happier about the top service on site. Super warm welcome with a little greeting from the kitchen. When the spot with a sea view became available, we were offered it. So not only did we have wonderful service with a sea view, but we also had excellent food. The price-performance ratio is absolutely right here. We will be back!

I found today's experience very nice with an employee who stormed out after I had parked and snapped at me if I wanted to eat in the restaurant. I actually wanted to go to the beach and then eat something in the restaurant, but after this unfriendly and extremely loud speech I decided against it and drove away.

A very friendly and relaxed welcome from the service staff, we had reserved by email. Unfortunately there are only 8 tables with 2-6 seats. Very nicely designed space. Unfortunately the tables are a bit too high for the beautiful chairs. 1xBurger with fries and 1xSalmon with sweet potato fries. Our requirement “no dairy products in the salmon dish” was professionally recorded and implemented by cook 1a, including the small starter and the delicious dessert :) We can recommend the restaurant with a clear conscience!
