BÄRISTO in Hamburg

First of all: cool location. I felt very comfortable. We barely managed to get a table without a reservation. You should make a reservation. Service was good. Burgers and fries were also great. We are not vegan, but we do make sure to eat vegetarian or vegan meals from time to time. The taste is no different to a “normal” burger. Prices are ok, homemade iced tea is recommended.

My girlfriend and I had a pleasant afternoon there. The food was very tasty and the room is cozy. The concept with cats is a good one. It's clear that the cats sleep a lot. The staff today was nice and friendly. Well, and the prices are high, but people who make a living from it pay in the middle, etc. I think it's nice with you and we had a nice afternoon and will come back again. PS the coffee latte was good. Lg

Unfortunately, the Golden Temple no longer exists; the Baborrito has moved into its rooms. It's a shame, the teahouse has been with me since I've lived in Hamburg, but that's the way it is. The new restaurant is a Mexican restaurant, highly recommended. A worthy successor!

Very tasty, purely vegan offer! I had the street food platter and was very impressed. Lots of different dishes, all super tasty. My favorites were the loaded fries with planted pulled pork and the sweet potato with tahini sauce. Big portion! Very nice service, I just found it very cold in the restaurant. :)

Waitress was great, and we liked the small appetizer you get for free at the start. The food, however, wasn’t good. It simply did not look appetizing or taste anything of the kind. We had a fake-meat situation with a texture so appalling no one wanted to eat it. The other stuff was alright, but nothing crazy and nothing you’d actually want to pay money for. At the end, the bill didn’t mirror the prices set out in the menu. That was pretty unacceptable. The atmosphere wasn’t nice either. I wouldn’t go back and wouldn’t recommend it to anyone else either. I have eaten better vegetarian food in Hamburg, with an Asian touch as well.
