Barfüßer Hausbrauerei Weissenhorn in Weißenhorn

Wir haben dort am Samstag 18.04 unsere Kommunion gefeiert. Tisch war auf 13 Uhr reserviert. Allerdings war die Kirche schon früher aus und ich hatte nachgefragt ob wir früher rein können, dies war überhaupt kein Problem, was wir sehr nett fanden. Natürlich hat es auch eine Rolle gespielt das viele Gäste bei dem tollen Wetter draußen waren und innen so gut wie leer war ,aber das Personal hätte ja auch sagen können reserviert ist reserviert. Das Essen war wie immer lecker . Service zuvorkommend und freundlich ( hab ich aber auch nie anders erlebt). Wir gehen gerne zum Barfüßer . Mit allem sehr zufrieden gewesen und wir hatten einen angenehmen Besuch im Barfüßer.

Unsere Reservierung für 5 Personen für Mittagessen am Ostersonntag hat problemlos geklappt. Wir waren pünktlich um 13 Uhr und wurden freundlich begrüßt und zu unserem reservierten Tisch im sehr gut besuchten Restaurant geführt. Unsere Bestellung wurde zügig aufgenommen, die Getränke wurden schnell serviert und wir bestellten unsere Hauptgerichte. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und trotz des sehr gut besuchten Restaurants wurden unsere Speisen schnell serviert. Alle Gerichte waren sehr schmackhaft. Insbesondere möchte ich das günstige Sonntagsangebot „Schweinebraten“ (13,90€) hervorheben, das preis-/leistungs- und geschmackstechnisch wirklich sehr gut war. Nochmal ein Lob an die Servicekräfte, die trotz hoher Gästeanzahl sehr freundlich und professionell ihre Arbeit gemacht haben.

Bedingt durch den Ansturm am Mittag ist es verständlich, wenn gewisse Speisen nicht mehr verfügbar waren. Sowohl der bestellte Jakobinersalat, der Burger als auch die Schweinemedallions waren im Vergleich zu Bestellungen in der Vergangenheit deutlich kleiner.

We received a steak that was cooked perfectly. BUT the meat was tough and heavy. Absolutely not enjoyable!

Traditional German cuisine, fast service

I attended a murder mystery dinner with my colleagues. The two actors were excellent. It was fun to follow the mystery. The food... what a shame. No one checked beforehand which of our 18 people wanted which of the two offered menus. The staff only noticed the problem when the main course was being served. I was appalled by the person in charge's statement: "We don't have any other food available today." In a restaurant?! After I asked, he confirmed his statement again. Suddenly, a daily specials menu was handed out. "But any items ordered from the menu will be charged extra!" From this menu, we could suddenly order Spätzle, which hadn't been available just moments before 🤦🏼‍♂️🤦🏼‍♂️🤦🏼‍♂️ The Maultaschen soup was okay. The roast pork from the set menu was way too salty. The bread dumplings were okay. The coleslaw was good. The dessert was just okay. The two servers tried very hard and were very friendly. Their shift manager, in my opinion, was/is overwhelmed/unqualified. The restroom was clean. No towels. Instead, there was a fan on the faucet... I won't be going back.

We had made a reservation some time before New Year's Eve, but when we arrived, we were immediately told we had to leave after a certain time! I don't think that's appropriate for New Year's Eve... We had planned to stay until 11 pm, but they could have told us that when we made the reservation, then we would have planned differently. The food wasn't even warm, and to me, it tasted like a watery cream sauce without any seasoning. The salad dressing was supposed to be yogurt, but to me it tasted like mayo and I don't know what else. Terribly disappointing 😞

Unterirdisches Essen. War kalt und ohne Geschmack leider.

We had our Christmas dinner there this year with the family. We got a table in the lovely vaulted cellar. Although it was very busy – as expected at Christmas (of course, no chance without a reservation), the staff had everything under control, and we were served quickly. We didn't have to wait long for the food either. As for the food itself: it was fantastic – absolutely delicious and generous portions. Unfortunately, we didn't have room for dessert (we'll try that next time 🙂).

Das Steak war kalt !Die Kräuterbutter hatte nicht mal die Möglichkeit zu schmelzen! Für die Beanstandung gab es den Cappuccino gratis. Total überteuert der Laden.

A wide selection of food, very friendly service and a great atmosphere.

The service was incredibly friendly, and you immediately feel welcome. The food is just as delicious as it looks and smells. We also found this restaurant through an advertisement. A very pleasant experience.

Ab 21h hätte man gehen sollen .. zumindest machte die Bedienung/ Servicekraft den Eindruck .. sie rückte Tische Stühle, Holzbesteckgefaß ständig so geräuschvoll das man sich nicht unterhalten konnte .. und das ununterbrochen bis 22:30h man hatte den Eindruck das man doch besser gehen sollte … es war echt total nervig. Ich verstehe das man das neu eindecken muss und Tische evtl. anders stellen muss.. aber nicht schon um 21h !!

A brewpub in a historic building (formerly Fugger's Brewery) in the heart of Weißenhorn's old town. The interior is also in the traditional style of a beer hall, including solid maple tabletops. They serve their own house-brewed beers on tap, including seasonal varieties like Märzen and winter beer. The bottom-fermented beers are perfectly poured in the traditional Willibecher glass, from which they still taste best. The food selection is quite varied. The regular menu offers something delicious for every taste, served in generous portions. In addition, the weekly specials menu, which changes Monday through Friday (until 3 p.m.!), is worth checking out and is also available online. 👍 The service staff is consistently friendly, attentive, and efficient. In the warmer months, the south-facing terrace offers a very peaceful atmosphere. An extra star for being open all afternoon (!), so you can easily stop by even just for a drink!

We were just passing through and stumbled upon this brewery by chance, having seen an advertisement at a gas station that immediately caught our eye. We weren't disappointed; on the contrary, we were delighted. The food was top-notch, the house beer was delicious, and the hospitality was exactly what you'd expect. Everything was perfect, and we'll definitely be back. We'll always include this brewery in our plans from now on.

The dumpling was hard, the mushroom sauce tasteless, and everything was served in a bowl with a spoon. Difficult to eat. The only point is for the cold shandy. The service was very good and attentive.

We liked everything: the food and beer were delicious, the service was fast and friendly, and the place itself was cozy and atmospheric. Dogs are allowed inside. Prices are reasonable: two main courses, two beers, and one dessert cost 55 euros.

Pleasant ambiance, plenty of outdoor seating. Home-style cooking. Our impressions of the food quality were very mixed. Knuckle of pork: very tasty; roast too dry; coleslaw very good; cheese spaetzle much, much too oily, soupy, inedible; salad with a delicious dressing. Service was late but then responded well to the uneaten cheese spaetzle.

A lovely and charming restaurant with good food in a typical Bavarian town. The service was excellent, with special thanks to ours (we don't know his name, but he was from Croatia). Although the Barfüßer is a chain restaurant, this doesn't detract from the cozy atmosphere, the great beer, and the good food. Very friendly service rounded off the visit to this lovely place.

On the menu, lentils with bacon, onions, wieners, and spaetzle were good, but the bacon was missing. When we asked about the bacon, we were told it was already on the shelf!!! A joke for a Swabian. 🤔😁😁

On our way back from our summer vacation in the south, we visited the Barfüßer in Weißenhorn on Saturday, August 30, 2025, after making an online reservation for four people. At first, we were ignored by three waiters – at the very latest, we knew we were back in Germany. At some point, an employee assigned us a comfortable table. In the end, the service was good and the food was delicious at a reasonable price, but a slight aftertaste remained. However, the restaurant's rustic ambiance and the free public parking nearby are worth mentioning. I would give it 4.5 stars. Since that's not possible, I'll give it 4 stars – as an incentive to improve the way we welcome guests.

Wir haben uns nur zu einer Besprechung getroffen. Danke für die freundliche Bedienung, obwohl jede von uns nur ein Getränk hatte und wir nicht gegessen haben. Die Servicedame hat sogar noch ein Bild von uns gemacht, als wir danach gefragt hatten. Vielen Dank!!! Als Insider weiß ich, dass wir die absolute Umsatzbremse waren und das war mir sehr unangenehm, aber man hat es uns überhaupt nicht merken lassen. Lieben Dank dafür. Künftig komm ich zum Essen in den Barfüßer, denn das ist sehr empfehlenswert. Danke nochmals der lieben Dame vom Service. Und auch das andere Personal, das uns gegrüßt, verabschiedet oder unsere Getränke gebracht hatte, war professionell und wirklich sehr freundlich!

Fantastically delicious beer, fresh on tap and from the barrel. The Schwarz beer is my absolute favorite; it's now in the top 3 of my Untappd app. The service is friendly and attentive, but it got increasingly busy, resulting in increasingly long waits for orders. That's the only area for improvement, because otherwise it's a truly wonderfully cozy place, with a beautiful location and stunning interior featuring the kettles, and even the restrooms are tip-top! Highly recommended. We only drank beer, but the food served by the people around us looked generous and very good.

A very cozy location. We sat outside in the beautiful weather, but there was also plenty of room inside. The interior is lovely, with its beer fermentation tanks. We were there for the beer and thoroughly enjoyed the Schwarzbier, among other things. But the other beers on tap are also very tasty. Definitely worth a try. Incidentally, the food served is plentiful and delicious. All in all, definitely worth a visit.

A spontaneous Saturday evening: ox cheeks with spaetzle and gravy – really very good. The sausage salad was decent. The beer is famously fresh and has a fine flavor. Service is conventional and quite acceptable. All they're missing is a more attentive landlady or a dedicated brewer – then everything would certainly be even more personal...

We had dinner here today for our birthday. We go here regularly, but today was a disappointment. We had to wait over half an hour for our food. On top of that, there was loud, unpleasant music playing in the background, making it impossible to have a conversation. Please provide better service and more competent waitresses.

I was just out for dinner with my son. It was delicious. The falafel bowl was divine, and the roast beef with onions and cheese spaetzle was cooked to perfection, just the way my son requested it. I'll be back in a heartbeat. The service staff was friendly, prompt, and courteous. I do find the beer garden chairs a bit uncomfortable, but that's just my experience...

Die Getränkebestellung wurde zügig aufgenommen und bis zur Servierung hatten wir unsere Speisen ausgesucht und konnten unsere Bestellung aufgeben. Die 4 Gerichte wurden zeitgleich serviert und waren alle sehr schmackhaft. Wir waren mit dem professionellen Service und der Qualität der Speisen sehr zufrieden und werden gerne wiederkommen.

A restaurant, large and bright. I think you have to look for parking spaces, as far as I know they don't have their own. The staff was very friendly. The food was ok. The beer brewer caraway sauce tasted extremely like caraway, I thought it was a bit too much. The knuckle was very good, the bread dumpling was large but very, very dry. The roast was probably very tough. But tastes are different.

We suffered from the positive reviews. Get a table at short notice. The ambience is pleasant, but it is a bit noisy and cramped. The beer and the service were the best.
