I worked here for 2.5 months (full time/part time) this summer and was not paid for a single shift. There are at least 3 other employees that have experienced the same as me and that are now suffering as a result. If you are looking for a job do not apply here, they’re extremely unorganized and do not care about being equitable to employees.

The food was very tasty and the service was a bit unambitious but ok so far. However, the toilet is really an absolute no-go (as of the morning). I wonder if/when it was last cleaned properly. It's a shame, otherwise a cute shop.

Quality of meals and service is very obviously lacking and has been on a constant decline in the last year. We went to eat on a Saturday evening and it was close to being empty, yet the only server (the owner) managed to ignore us, mess up orders, and didn’t react appropriately at all when we pointed this out to him. We are experienced in hospitality /service work, this kindof behavior just isn’t ok at all. After this I also found out that he is constantly understaffed as he treats staff badly, I even have a friend who hasn’t been fully paid for their work at Barretino. Had I known that, I would’ve never gone there, such bad business practices cannot be supported at all.

Absolutely lovely little Italian with mega awesome breakfasts that work as brunch too 😁 I enjoyed the vegetarian breakfast with a side of omelette cooked to perfection. And the atmosphere is absolutely unbeatable. You must check it out if only for the art on display. Lovely concept, great service, tasty food in large portions - a definite Berlin favorite!

Grandioses italienisches Essen mit ruhigerem Ambiente. Wir hatten die parmigiana di melanzane und die Pasta con sugo di salsiccia und wir waren begeistert.

Nice Aperitivo italiano with Spritz served with some olives and bruschette. I recommend arriving before 5 PM to enjoy their focacce and panini, after that, the menu switches to dinner with somewhat higher prices. Overall, it's a great choice for a Spritz in the lovely Reuterstrasse.

Simple aber sehr teuer und nicht ehrlich. Auf jeden Fall eine nette, gemütliche Atmosphäre im Inneren des Cafés. Wir bestellten nur frisch gepresste Säfte. Die waren sehr teuer und mit 70% normalem Saft gemischt. hat überhaupt nicht geschmeckt. Also Vorsicht, vorher nachfragen, was genau in euren Speisen und Getränken alles drin ist.

Get 2 Augustiner, sit outside, talk about death and reincarnation. Have a smoke, look at passing dogs, exchange documentary tips witn your neighbour. Share a Peroni to finish. Sweet staff

Ich halte es kurz, weil der Laden meine Energie nicht verdient. Essen früher gut, heute okay, dafür teurer. 40 Minuten auf Erstkontakt gewartet. Tisch dreckig, auch nach dem widerwilligen Abwischen. 2:40h warten auf das Essen, dazwischen diverse genervte Blicke unseres sehr unfreundlichen Kellners. Wir hatten den Eindruck nicht willkommen zu sein. Jede Zwischenbestellung von Wein, Brot, Vorspeisenplatten (müssen stark geschrumpft sein) war ihm zu viel, er hat die Hälfte vergessen und hat weder Besteck noch Gläser in der korrekten Anzahl gebracht, der Hinweis darauf kam auch nicht gut an. Keine Rückfrage zu irgendwas. Teller werden gestapelt an den Tisch gebracht und haben Essensreste rundherum, Gläser dreckig. Null Serviceverständnis! Fällt mir wirklich wenig zu ein, die Hälfte habe ich bestimmt vergessen, geht hier nicht hin, das hat niemand verdient. For reference, wir waren zu 8., der Laden war nicht voll und wir hatten reserviert.

I’m sorry to say… but it’s the worst service I have ever experienced. They ignored us on purpose several times. They work completely without any system and unorganized. We waited for our food over 1 hour and we only ordered 2 small cold platters. Never again

Very nice place with delicious Italian food! We had the antipasti, which I can highly recommend and I had the black garlic pasta which was also fantastic! Nice atmosphere and friendly staff. I will definitely be back!

Wir wollten nach einem Konzert in dieses Restaurant. Leider war schon Küchenschluß und es wurde schon auf den Feierabend vorbereitet. Auf unsere Nachfrage wurde noch etwas zu essen gezaubert. Wir haben Calzone bestellt und und die war so lecker. Trotz nahendem Feierabend war das Personal sehr nett und freundlich. Wirklich super. Wenn wir das nächste Mal in Berlin sind, gehen wir gerne wieder hin, aber während der Öffnungszeit. Super Restaurant.

Abbiamo cenato in questo ristorante italiano la settimana scorsa durante una vacanza a Berlino. Che dire, ho ritrovato tutti i sapori della Sicilia e la cortesia tipica dell'ospitalità italiana. Le pietanze sono di alta qualità e le porzioni abbondanti. L'ambiente richiama la cristianità, ma se ne fa burla. Ci ritorneremo sicuramente la prossima volta che torniamo a berlino

Sempre una garanzia il Barettino. Il cibo ottimo come sempre e le porzioni abbondanti. La cortesia del personale e un ambiente sacro profano fanno il resto. Consigliatissimo.

It is truly unfortunate that I must report my disappointing experience at Barettino. The service was incredibly lackluster, with waitstaff appearing disinterested and inattentive to our needs. Not only that, but the food quality was subpar at best. It was quite clear that corners were being cut in the kitchen, and our dishes were not only unappetizing but also appeared to be made with little care. It's a shame, as I recall Barettino being a much better establishment in the past. I do not recommend this place to anyone seeking a satisfying dining experience.

Ich besuchte kürzlich das Barettino Bar und war äußerst enttäuscht von meiner Erfahrung. Der Service war schlecht und unaufmerksam, mit Personal, das kein Interesse an guter Kundenbetreuung zu haben schien. Um die Sache noch schlimmer zu machen, war die Qualität des Essens schlecht. Ich erwartete eine anständige Mahlzeit, aber was ich erhielt, war ungenießbar und ohne Geschmack. Ich war schockiert über die mangelnde Aufmerksamkeit für Details und Professionalität, die von den Mitarbeitern gezeigt wurde, insbesondere angesichts der hohen Preise für Essen und Getränke. Die Atmosphäre der Bar war auch unangenehm, mit schmutzigen Tischen und einem allgemeinen Gefühl von Vernachlässigung. Ich empfehle das Barettino Bar niemandem, der eine gute Mahlzeit und guten Service sucht. Es gibt viele andere Optionen in der Gegend, die besseres Essen, besseren Service und eine bessere Gesamterfahrung bieten. Meiner Meinung nach ist das Barettino Bar nicht wert, dass Sie Ihre Zeit oder Ihr Geld investieren.

Sono stata di recente in questo locale...terribile Partendo dal fatto che il rapporto qualità prezzo è bassissimo, i prezzi sono stra gonfiati e le pietanze lasciano molto a desiderare. Abbiamo notato che proprietario tratta i clienti solo come merce, per non parlare di come tratta invece quei poverini dei suoi collaboratori, chissà da quante ore erano lì e li ha urlato in faccia... I servizi igienici erano davvero sporchi, un odore più che disgustoso. Sconsigliatissimo

The place is dirty, the plates glasses and cutlery are not clean. Neither are the bathrooms. The owner treats the employees very badly.

Authentic Italian food. The pasta was perfectly seasoned and Al dente 🥹 the ambience has interesting satire art, and they accept card payments! 🤩

My rating goes mostly because of the staff. We went on an evening where there were only 5 more tables having dinner so I figured things would be nice. We ordered some drinks and we got told bruschettas were for free since it was not yet dinner time (I didn't mind because I'm not a huge fan) . I ordered a mix of " hams, cheese, olives, bread and BUTTER" and got everything but the butter. When I bring this up to the waitress, she comes 10 minutes later with MARGARINE...seriously? In the meantime, more tables were arriving and getting their bruschettas for free and since I was hungry I asked for ours, and of course the waitress forgot to ask for them. The Pasta was warm/ish and we left feeling super frustrated because the place has great potential but if the staff can't manage to work properly on a half empty restaurant, there's not much "good food" can make up for average service

Sono stata in vacanza in Germania, passando da Berlino. Dei ragazzi ci consigliarono questo ristorante. Ci siamo sentiti come a casa! Cibo tipico italiano e molti piatti tipici siciliani. Tagliatelle al ragù, rigatoni zucca e salsiccia, spaghetti con crema di aglio nero, pomodori secchi e burrata (TOP!), e molto altro. Tutto squisito! Il cuoco gentilissimo e tutto lo staff simpaticissimo! Abbiamo ripetuto la sera successiva! Lo consiglio!!

Pasta gezocht en gevonden. Beetje groezelig/vuil/meubels versleten maar wel heel lekker en originele inrichting met de lieve vrouwtjes.

The starters were delicious - didn’t expect to like eggplant so much. The octopus dish was a tiny bit chewy, but the portions are big.

Locale da scegliere tutti i giorni dalla colazione alla cena. Piatti tipici e aperitivi italiani. Cuoco eccezionale!

Wir waren da zum Frühstück. Die Paninis, der Kaffee und die Croissants waren ganz gut. Die Sitzmöglichkeiten im Außenbereich auch süß. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich, leider aber oft ausgelastet. Man muss definitiv mehr Leute einstellen, vor allem um das eigene Team nicht so zu stressen aber auch um lange Wartezeiten zu vermeiden.

Best spaghetti al ragú I’ve EVER had…

Avoid this place. I ordered a spaghetti with octopus for 16 euros. It took them 30min, the service was super slow and rude, they forgot orders… and not to mention I had 2 VERY THIN & THINY slices of octopus (for comparison: it was the size of a bee) with a bunch of noodles. This was insulting to mention this plate has octopus. I felt scammed. The rest of the table got a ragu spaghetti which had no meat and some cheese plate… all very poor quality for what you pay. I would not recommend this place as there are so many other nice ones in Berlin. It’s an insult!!!! Don’t charge 16 euros if you are not going to put octopus and don’t put on the menu it has octopus!!!! Not to mention the wine that was watered down!!!! Pls stop being such a cheap place!!! Your margins are ridiculous……

Man sitzt sehr schön, wird furchtbar langsam und furchtbar nett auf Englisch bedient. Es schmeckt gut wie immer.

This is my happy place. Tasty, unpretentious, big plate of food, that makes you feels like being at the home of a loving Italian mama that will make you a plate of pasta and tell you everything will be okay. All those people complaining about service honestly we are in the middle of a pandemic and people are trying their goddam best given the circumstances. Have some patience and empathy to fellow humans who risk their lives every day to feed and serve you or just cook for yourself at home 🙄🙄🙄

The ragu is it die!! Also don't sleep on their salad! I think it's called Saco verde.

Lecker und gesellig. Leider teuer aber für Berlin mittlerweile normal

Food was good, they were really friendly but it took them 1,5 hours to serve half of the orders. Unfortunately it was a the worst and slowest on time service I have ever experienced. Forgot several things, we even canceled 2 orders cause’ it took too much time. Were a group of 8 on a Sunday morning.

Zwei Sterne, weil das Essen lecker war. Der Service war leider unterirdisch. Haben über zwei Stunden auf essen warten müssen. Dabei sind es teilw. kalte Platten oder „einfach nur Panino“… sehr schade, war sehr enttäuschend.

Was ist passiert? Die Qualität ist so unglaublich gesunken. Die Panini schmecken und sehen nicht aus wie früher. Lieblos hergerichtet und das Brot/Focaccia hat roh geschmeckt. Es gab keine Croissants, Brownies mehr… Ich bin früher gerne hierher gekommen aber das Preis Leistung Verhältnis passt einfach überhaupt nicht mehr. Schade!

Peepz, this place is an oasis. We decided to have a birthday breakfast with 4 peepz and this one we even weren't able to finish. But it was soooo good. Everything fresh, definitely homemade grilled vegetables and price fit is more than good. We had the sweetest person for the service and felt just cozy and happy. New favourite spot. And the menu for lunch and bar time is promising as well. Can't wait to catch em all!

Very nice style, but if you want to have breakfast, keep in mind that you will have to wait a long time before someone notices you. They work with deliveries, and they don’t have enough staff to keep up with table service.

Barettino has notoriously bad service. Staff are nice enough but incredibly slow. Don´t order a sandwich unless you have enough time to wait for 45 minutes. I am a local and I used to go here often. Previously it was still worth it, because the sandwichs were really very good. But they´ve changed the bread to a massive, very dry type, which makes it impossible to eat and is just not as good as it used to be. Evening menu is very good though!

My wife comes from Sicily. Together we have been 5x times in South Italy, and to many many Italian cafés in Germany. This is not your place if you are looking for authentic Italian Pastries, it's more of a Theme Coffee to meet friends and enjoy good music. -The small cannolis were not filled with Ricotta but cheap Pistachio Creme and it did not seem fresh. -Croissants were average -Prices were high -Waiter was friendly

Personal is very nice and friendly, they also speak English 🙃 i loved their coffee ☕️ but food was okey. I also don’t like cakes there but i can go there for coffee.

The staff are really rude, they answer badly and they don't care about the customers. very long wait and low quality. you wait 30 minutes for an espresso and much more for a pasta. I don't recommend this place to anyone. not to mention a water and a fritz cola for 8 euros. Failed !!

I went here with 3 friends for Italian pasta week and got one of the nicest pasta dishes I've had! The restaurant is tucked into the back behind the bar which was cute - lovely experience.

Das ist ein kleines cooles Restaurant. Wir waren dort Frühstücken. Echt lecker und die Einrichtung wie bei Oma.

Located in a quite street in Neukolln, inside it is a small comfortable laid back cafe. Staff is friendly, helpful for explaining their mist try menu items. Cappuccino and ricotta croissant were of a high quality.

Aperetivo hour between 18-20 - when you order a drink, you get a complimentary Piattino

Frühstück super. Ob man drinnen oder draußen sitzt, ist allerdings egal. Tür steht meist offen und vom bedienenden Personal weit offen stehen gelassen, so dass ein entspanntes Frühstück drinnen nicht möglich ist. Hat auch nix mit Lüften und COVID zu tun! Es nervt, wenn man ständig im Zug sitzt. Ging nicht nur mir so, sondern vier Tische waren sichtlich genervt. Die Gäste haben abwechselnd die Tür immer und immer wieder geschlossen. Der Eigentümer muss sich etwas mit der Tür einfallen lassen. Wir wären gern länger geblieben, sind dann weiter ins nächste Café gezogen. Danke für die schnelle Antwort, die aber nicht überzeugt, denn das hat mit Lüften und COVID nix zu tun, Sie müssen sich da eine andere Lösung einfallen lassen! Automatische Türschließer etc.

Food is good, though the service takes a bit long

Über eine Stunde auf Essen gewartet, dann wieder gegangen weil das Essen noch über 20 min dauern sollte (Frühstück). Von daher leider keine gute Erfahrung trotz vorheriger Weiterempfehlung.

watery coffee without flavour for €3.70 per 200ml cup? You've got to be kidding! Terrible. Coffee machine needs cleaning and pressure adjustment, as does the price. Forget it, better coffee available for less in the neighbourhood. Edit after ridiculous reply: we were charged €7.40 for two lousy coffees this week although the official price according to the reply is €2.20. The reply is indicative of the service standards.

Als guter Bürger denkt man vielleicht, hier muss man nicht unbedingt gewesen sein, in der ganzen Gegend nicht und auch nicht in diesem kleinen Restaurant. Wenn man aber doch einmal da ist und etwas essen möchte, ist man im Barettino überraschend gut aufgehoben. Gemässigte Preise, gut zubereitetes Essen und sehr freundliche Bedienung. Die Gäste sind jung, die Betreiber sind jung, die Stimmung ist jung und als oller Gast fühlt man sich trotzdem sehr wohl.
