Nice bar near the university. The food was good, and so were the drinks. Unfortunately, we had to wait a while for service, but since the place was quite busy that evening, this is understandable. Not bad at all!

Freshly cooked food so a little wait, but worth it. Great value.

Let's be honest: Why should guests wait to be seated when you have to stand in the entrance area for 10 minutes? A free table that's not cleared because the payment has to be taken somewhere else first? That's lesson one: New guests have the highest priority; the others don't wander off. I left after 15 minutes without being able to order anything. Annoying.

Down Under is a great place for great food and drinks. If you can't get there when it opens, reservations are recommended, as otherwise you might be asked to leave. The place is always very busy. I'll be back when I'm in the area again.

As always, delicious all-you-can-eat chicken wings with a variety of sauces, bread, celery, and dip. I've been coming here for years.

Good value for money, super friendly staff, a good beer selection, and delicious food. The various sauces for the all-you-can-eat chicken wings or spare ribs are very varied, and some are quite spicy. I highly recommend the deep-fried chocolate bars for dessert, especially if you're not on a diet. All the other a la carte dishes are also delicious. Great transport links.

I've had a stomachache and been nauseous ever since I ate. I had to get wipes myself, and the wings didn't taste good.

Delicious wings as always. Ordering via the app works great. However, when we didn't want a second helping, we would have preferred the waitress to ask if we needed a drink. We wouldn't have refused. We'll still go back. Highly recommended.

The inconspicuous entrance to the restaurant Down Under is via a set of stairs at the side of the road. The ambiance is pleasant, and the service is very friendly. We ordered the "all you can eat - chicken wings" and were somewhat disappointed. Not only were the wings lacking salt, but the various sauces that accompany each of the six wings, which you receive with each new order, left a lot to be desired. Bland flavor and poorly seasoned. Combinations like "honey-mustard" simply tasted as if the chicken had been dipped in honey with a dash of mustard, without any flavor. The malt-beer-based Scotland sauce was simply sweet and didn't fit the bill at all. We also tried Thailand (peanut butter-based), China (sweet and sour), and Italy (lemon), all of which were very subpar. The BBQ sauce (USA) was okay, as was the hot sauce (Australia). The excessive spiciness of the latter numbed all the taste buds anyway. One of the men's restroom stalls was also a bit of a disappointment, as the toilet seat was broken halfway through, and the cleanliness left something to be desired. I would give the place another chance on a Thursday when they offer all-you-can-eat spare ribs, but for now, I wouldn't recommend it for the food, or rather, the sauces and chicken wings.

Not recommended at all!! Especially not with small children. Dark, loud, the toilets very dirty and full of spiders. We waited 40 minutes for our food. After 25 minutes, one person at the table had already eaten, the rest had to wait. Despite the small child at the table, no consideration was given. Bad service, the cheapest fluttering napkins, no padded wooden chairs, no table decorations, not even napkins to pad under the table legs to prevent tipping. The bar staff's large revealing cleavage doesn't make up for it either. A waste of time spent there!!

The fries were an absolute disaster: soggy, greasy, and inedible. The chicken wings were edible, but sometimes oversalted. Orders were often delivered late or only after requesting them. Plenty of room for improvement.

I come from Serbia and I am in Hamburg for the first time. I was at dinner with friends. I am amazed at how friendly and patient the waiters are. I hope I will have the opportunity to visit this place again.👌🏻

The service was good and fast. They asked if I needed anything else, almost like Americans. The burger was good, and the portion of fries was large. But I've had better of both.

If I come back to Hamburg, I'll definitely eat there again. The spare ribs were so tender, the meat fell off the bone. The chef knows what he's doing. The service was very friendly, and I think the wait was okay. The food all came at the same time (six people) and everything was warm. I also find the atmosphere very cozy. It might be a bit dark for some people. For me, everything was perfect.

Perfect home cut French fries and yummy baked potato. Cocktails were okay and I can recommend. Ordered Switzerland wings and Italy ribs- both served a bit cold. These were not enjoyable to me. I tried Japan and Buffalo wings were great and I'd recommend these.

Went there for a full chicken wing meal. A large selection of marinades, most of which tasted really good. The bread was okay. The service was very friendly and quick. The ambiance, however, was disappointing. Loud music, closely spaced tables, no natural light as it's in the basement, and rather limited restroom facilities.

I was here a few days ago with a good friend and work colleague for chicken wings all-you-can-eat! Not much to say except that the service was excellent, really nice. The chicken wings are super tasty and have a variety of different flavors - the price is also totally reasonable. The atmosphere is super rustic, just as it should be for this type of place. Conclusion: worth it.

Ordered through Wolt, received delivery for another customer, everything went well - happened! When I called down under, they said in a friendly manner that there were problems with the delivery and that I would get my food soon. When I called after 1.30 hours, no one answered the phone and I didn't get my food either! I enjoyed going to this store with my family but I won't do so again in the future! This could have been solved differently, but it's a disgrace. I waited over 1:30 for my food because they said it would be there soon and then I just didn't answer the phone. Sad! What a shame!

Cool restaurant with good all-you-can-eat and a generally good menu. Waiting time after an order is okay even if not super fast. It might be important for some that many service staff only speak English.

Standard venue for me and a group of friends. All you can eat for spare ribs and chicken wings has always been delicious and arrived within acceptable times (up to around 30 minutes depending on how busy). The different styles invite you to try them out. The meat has always been tender and soft. Prices are in the range you would expect in Hamburg. The service was good and very friendly. Not everyone likes the atmosphere, but if you like cozy shops with cheerful chats here and there, then you're in good hands here.

It's a shame it has lost the old charm of 10 years ago. It was nice though... for the sake of old times... But there's a time for everything

The homemade lemonade consists of mineral water, syrup and a dry slice of lime and 2-3 large ice cubes. I find it a bit strange to describe these as homemade, as I tend to think of homemade as high-quality products. The chicken wings themselves were absolutely standard and the sauces were varied and good.

Don't understand the good reviews. I let half of the chicken wings go back, they taste better in any other store. Service so-so. A meal of four arrived 20 minutes later, no explanation why. Kangaroo sausage pure disaster. And then dum dum muke all the time with a lot of bass, you end up with a headache. No decoration and cold in the store. It probably attracts students, but the price doesn't justify it. There are no parking spaces available. Not again.

Thursday is full of spare ribs. It took 20 for the first service minutes. Reorder via qr code. The portions kept getting smaller and took forever. You will be full, no question. But side dishes would have to be ordered separately. There is only 1x bread and some sour cream with the first plate. Beer selection is great. Ambiance also ok. But things used to be much better.

Food is good but it’s taking waaay too long. We went there for all you can eat ribs and it took about 40mins between rounds which isn’t acceptable. Left hungry after 2 1/2 hours. Service is really inattentive.

A really great bar with a pleasant, casual atmosphere. The atmosphere invites you to linger, be it for a cozy drink or a delicious snack. Very friendly and attentive service - always present without being intrusive. Here you feel completely comfortable and welcome. Definitely a place I'd love to return to!

Waiting time is abnormally long

Burgers and fries were really good! Drinks too. But our orders got mixed up several times and some of our drinks were forgotten and we had to remind them of our order. Very nice staff tho.

The pub is quite nice. But we were really looking forward to the Australian Fosters beer, freshly tapped as it was on the online menu. We were even more disappointed when the pub said - no Fosters!!!! The Irish beers are tasty, but I prefer to go to an Irish pub, not an Australian one. Sorry, but you won't see us again!

Really good chicken wings. I'll be back just for that! I was there when there wasn't much going on and yes, I had to wait a little - despite pre-ordering. Staff is friendly. The ambience appealed to me because it was rustic and had the right flair. The beers looked really tasty, but since I had to drive, I couldn't judge...next time 😉. Parking is difficult. If there is nothing available in the few parking spaces, parking a little further is recommended, as illegal parkers receive a receipt quickly (the karma came in less than 20 minutes after the illegal parking began 🚓). I parked in the parking area on a one-way street, although it was significantly further away, but no negative karma 😉.

once and never again. Honestly, give the store a wide berth. Why? 1. Reserved for 6 people and seated at a table for 4. 2. After an hour of waiting, we got a little restless and asked when the food would come. Then she said 4 minutes. After 1.45 hours some of the food arrived. The rest waited another 15 minutes. 3. Some of the food was cold, the fries were undercooked and limp. The advertised wings were horrible. So really, the good & cheap frozen wings are better. Not even the salad tasted good. 4. The drinks we ordered didn't come until the end of the meal. 5. 3 out of 6 people in the group have had extreme stomach pain since then. ... I could definitely list 5 more points here because everything was really bad about the store. In summary, however, one can say that it is difficult to understand how such a restaurant can exist...

I was there for the first time. I watched football. A very warm conversation on the phone. The service was super nice even though it was her first day. Great service, absolutely delicious food, great ambience. Affordably good.

You're a little torn. Considering the price, you could perhaps give one more star, but neither the wings nor the ribs tasted really outstanding. They weren't bad either, just solid and okay for the price. If you don't have high expectations you won't be disappointed, but for a real taste experience there are definitely better options.

If food comes second, you can certainly have a great evening. We waited over 30 minutes before we were even allowed to place our order. An hour later my burger arrived with wobbly, not-so-appetizing fries. The chrispy chicken was dry like the bun... well. The all you can eat orders only arrived with long waiting times. However, it was also very crowded and Sunday. We've gotten food here quicker...

The decor is rustic and cozy. The food is extremely tasty and the service is excellent. Very, very nice staff. My son invited me there as a Christmas present. We would love to come back.

It's a tradition of mine and two friends to eat wings there once a year and for good reason.

The store used to be called buffalo send, but they (rightly) changed the name due to bad reviews. But the food has remained the same and is just as bad as it was back then. Absolutely not worth recommending unless you have too much money and want to throw your money out the window! PS: Reviews are even faked and the bad ones are simply deleted. I have known the store for over 15 years. Used to be good. Now an absolute disaster! Went there today for all you can eat chicken wings. Service was completely overwhelmed as it was about a year ago. One star is still too many! Napkins were only given upon request, no plate for the bones. My companion had finished his meal (ribs and wings combo) and mine still wasn't there after an hour. When I asked, it turned out that the waiter understood that I didn't want to order/eat anything?! I'm sorry, what? I have no words for so much incompetence. It was promised that the order would come in 10 minutes, but then it took more like 20. I was about to leave the store without food. Absolute disappointment. Never again!

The service was great. We had so much fun with Josh and Jakub was great too, especially his playlist.

Unfortunately, every time we visit, there are eternal waiting times, from the first order to the food and other drinks to the bill, thank you, that's it for us, there's no more chance. But the food and drinks are good.

If you bring in a lot of time then it's cool

It feels more like a bar with chicken wings than a restaurant. Also reflected in the menu, it feels like 80% is drinks. Nevertheless, the wings and spare ribs are super tasty. The normal fries are also highly recommended. However, the service could be improved a bit. Unfortunately the wrong sauces were entered for my order and a side didn't come. In addition, it felt like the server only came by the table three times and you couldn't really order anything new or different unless you went to him. I could understand if the store was completely full - but it was only 50% occupied.

All you can eat wings are great, just the ambience and lighting is a matter of taste.

The Quizmaster was very kind and listened to my complaints with genuine interest. He even offered me a free drink, which was a thoughtful gesture. I’m eagerly looking forward to next Monday’s quiz. I highly recommend stopping by and checking it out!

Cozy place with friendly staff and pretty good chicken wings. Tried the “styles” USA, Buffelo and Italy, of which Buffelo tasted best. The dips were nothing special. Overall, the wings were tasty, but not anything earth-shattering, would give them 3.5 stars. The ambience is slightly rustic, simple and therefore pleasant. The toilets are very narrow and, as is typical for Hamburg, full of grease, but still clean.

Incredibly bad service. After 30 minutes we actively called in the service from the bar to order, food was served more randomly in individual portions to the guests one after the other with a long gap in time. Neither cutlery, napkins, nor bone plates were brought without being asked. It took almost 1.5 hours from ordering (i.e. 2 hours from arrival) for my burger to arrive and the all-you-can-eat faction had long since completed their first round by then. And the store was only about half full. You could eat the all-you-can-eat all day long because you'll have easily digested the first portion by the time the second one arrives. However, there was amusement when one of the service employees wore a T-shirt with the inscription on the back: "If you can read this, you're screwed.", how true how true... Alcoholic cocktails were very fizzy, the (alcohol-free) Ipanema basically consisted only of lime juice and was far too sour. Side wedges were 5 isolated potato wedges, all cheeky for the price. The only positive things to rate were the kangaroo burgers and sweet potato fries themselves, which were extremely tasty. Nevertheless, definitely the last visit there. It's actually a shame because the Australian atmosphere is a unique selling point in the area and something different.

I'm there once a month for the "Rib All you can Eat", the atmosphere and service are always at the top level. The available flavors of the ribs and wings could vary a little more. The staff even advised us against a few flavors. All in all, I can highly recommend Down Under. :)

The price-performance ratio is definitely okay. We were there on Tuesday for all you can eat chicken wings. For 17 euros you definitely can't go wrong. The many different styles of wings are extraordinary, although unfortunately not all of them appealed to us. The burgers are also okay. The atmosphere is very harmonious and the Pitcher beer is available for a fair 14 euros

Down Under is always a good choice for all-you-can-eat. The food quality is good. Depending on whether there is a lot or little going on, you need to bring some time. Both the audience and the service are always friendly and treat you at eye level.

Daaaamn, what a night! My boyfriend and and I came here for a night of wraping up this hectic week, and we really got what we were looking for. It was amazing!! ❤️ From food to atmosphere, to drinks and even the staff working here, everything was perfect! We got some free leftovers (as we came at the bar around 23:45) and still got to enjoy the happy hour. Lisa, Josh and their coworkers were super friendly and hospitable and made our night amazing! Thank you so, so much for everything you did for us. You made our first weeks in Hamburg memorable 🤗🥰

Cozy atmosphere and a very nice pub quiz. The quiz questions were also certainly challenging. Food was tasty and staff friendly. Personally, I thought the service was a bit slow, but good. I'll come back again.
