What a delicious meal we had here! This restaurant is highly recommended! Real Indian flavors, received and served well and friendly. Atmosphere is good, as are the chairs (not unimportant if you sit for a while). Price is not too high either, just reasonable.

I had invited a special guest to dinner on Sunday evening. Unfortunately very disappointing. Plus for food and ambience. The food and cocktails were, as always, very tasty. The restaurant is well located and has a nice terrace. On Saturday afternoon I went with my dog ​​to reserve a table and also had a small lunch. The bill was served straight after the coffee, even though I hadn't asked for it yet. There was no reservation for me on Sunday! We got a very small table and there was very little space. Later I spoke to the service employee. Your question was: with me? The only answer was: Sometimes we say there is room somewhere for two people... What ignorance! The dog was never given water and the bowls on the patio were empty. On another visit a few months earlier we asked for the bill and didn't receive it. There was none to be seen, so we had to ask after a long time. Very selective service, although a woman with slightly lighter hair is super nice. You expect a little more from a high standard restaurant. I will not come back after these situations and will not recommend it to others

It's lovely to sit in the garden with a view of the lock and canal. The food is average. The service was okay, but kind of reserved. Considering that my father was supposedly the first to have an Indian restaurant and everything was authentic and original, I found the food boring.

The atmosphere is cozy and invites you to linger. There is also outdoor seating, which allows you to enjoy your meal in peace thanks to the restaurant's quiet location. The service is great. You even get sparkling water on the house, which is very accommodating in the warm weather. The menu is very rich. From sushi, udon, Asian starters and main courses to street food and dessert, nothing is left to be desired. Drinks such as ice teas, lassis, cocktails with or without alcohol not only quench your thirst but are also a pretty sight. The prices are more than justified for the service and the excellent food. It's definitely not the last time I've been here.

Delicious food, good service & nice atmosphere

We were in the restaurant today and waited 45 minutes for the food. First we had to point out that our order still hadn't arrived. When the food came, we discovered that half had been forgotten and so it came again 20 minutes later. It was quite busy and the staff was clearly overwhelmed. Unfortunately the food tasted very dry and is not recommended. There are much more recommendable restaurants in the area!

The bill was charged twice, once from my debit card and again from my credit card that was in my pants. I'm assuming it's intentional because a cashier notices something like that on his card machine. I have no idea, but the radio chip on a credit card probably sends further than you think and a PIN apparently wasn't needed. I only noticed it when I got home on my credit card statement. I will avoid the restaurant; there was a tip added to the unauthorized payment. Maybe so that the amounts don't look identical. The cashier must be very clever at cheating, he added the agreed tip to the second amount, which he also received from me in cash for the first amount, and changed the total amount of the second debit by 4 cents. This means that it is either less noticeable in accounting or makes it more difficult to make a complaint. Completely clever fraud in my opinion. Been there once and never again.

The food was super delicious. The service staff were very friendly and attentive. There is a small playground and a bouncy castle for children. Very nice atmosphere, almost like you're on vacation. I can only recommend a visit. We had a very nice evening and would like to thank everyone. We'll definitely come back.

A really tasty Indian. Any dish with a lot of meat. Nice view of the lock from the garden. You have to ask specifically about the sauces. Very crowded, make sure to reserve on weekends.

We have been enthusiastic about this great restaurant from the very beginning, for four years now. So we are basically regular customers. I have now introduced three people to Indian cuisine through Bapu. A friend of mine went to an Indian restaurant in Berlin to try the food again. His conclusion: better from Pankow to Kleinmachnow. Dear team, you are doing everything right. The only criticism I have to give, but it doesn't affect me that much since I don't drink alcohol, your prices for the cocktails are too high. Well then, see you soon😉

We went to BAPU for the first time with friends. The reception was personable and friendly. We sat outside on the large terrace. The menu is very extensive. You can't even decide what you want to eat. Finally our food was served. Everything was very nicely prepared. The dishes tasted really good. For me it's the best Indian restaurant I've ever tasted! I also think the prices are fair. We will definitely come back here again. Then maybe sit inside to see how it feels and whether the ambience does justice to the food.

Kleinmachnow gehört zu Brandenburg, liegt aber unmittelbar vor den Toren Berlins: Mit dem Stadtbus sind es vom S-Bahnhof Berlin-Wannsee kaum mehr als zehn Minuten, aber für jeden West-Berliner wäre die Fahrt dorthin zu DDR-Zeiten wahrscheinlich schwieriger und länger gewesen als nach Moskau oder Peking. Kleinmachnow ist in Teilen eine idyllische Wohngegend, aber daß es dort (zumindest seit der "Wende") auch qualitätvolle Restaurants (sogar griechisch und indisch) gibt, beweist, daß das kleine Örtchen mit Schleuse, Wald und See auch Ausflügler anzieht. Das Bapu gibt es noch nicht allzu lange, ist jedoch nicht nur hübsch an der Schleuse gelegen, sondern bietet auch eher ungewöhnliche indische Gerichte, die sich vom üblichen Standardangebot à la "Butter Chicken" unterscheiden. Ich weiß nicht, aus welcher indischen Region der hier waltende Koch stammt, aber nach meiner Erfahrung wirkt alles ziemlich authentisch -- mit Ausnahme der wohl als Touristen-Entgegenkommen angebotenen Entengerichte: Eine indische langjährige Bekannte hat mir des öfteren bestätigt, daß Ente in Indien kaum gegessen wird, vielmehr Lamm und Huhn, was ja auch die meisten Speisekarten hiesiger Restaurants mit indischer Küche dominiert. Ich genoß zum Auftakt eine wunderbar cremige, interessant gewürzte Garnelensuppe. Alles verband sich hier zu einem perfekt ausgewogenen Gesamt-Geschmackserlebnis. Es nervt mich immer ungemein, wenn (besonders in italienischen Gaststätten) das Meeresgetier mit Schale in der Suppe schwimmt und erst einmal herausmanövriert und gepult werden muß. Hier war das natürlich (wie erwartet) anders. Köstlich war anschließend in jeder Hinsicht auch mein zartes Lammgericht mit Reis und einer ebenso interessanten, fein gewürzten Sauce. Das Fleisch war halb gewolft, also grober als Hackfleisch mit noch kleinen, gulaschartigen Lammstücken -- einfach ein Gedicht. Dazu hatte ich eine kleine Portion Raita, die es hier noch für 2,50 Euro gibt.

das Lokal hat eine wundervolle Außenterrasse mit Blick auf die markante Schleusenanlage. Wir haben hier beim Spaziergang am Teltowkanal etwas getrunken und haben uns auch als "Nichtesser" nur auf ein Getränk sehr willkommen gefühlt. Wir kommen sicherlich wieder, um hier auch einmal in dieser schönen Umgebung zu speisen!

Ich hatte gestern 21.05.2024 das Vergnügen, das BAPU Restaurant zu besuchen, und es war eine der besten kulinarischen Erfahrungen, die ich je hatte. Besonders beeindruckt war ich von dem Gericht 709 ... ein wahres Meisterwerk! Das Ambiente des Restaurants ist modern und einladend, mit einem Hauch von Eleganz. Der Service war exzellent: Das Personal war freundlich, aufmerksam und sehr gut informiert über die Speisekarte. Das Gericht 709 war einfach sensationell. Die Kombination der Aromen war perfekt ausbalanciert und jedes Element des Gerichts war frisch und hervorragend zubereitet. Die Präsentation war ebenso beeindruckend – fast zu schön, um es zu essen! Der Geschmack hat jedoch die Erwartungen noch übertroffen: eine harmonische Mischung aus Gewürzen und Texturen, die meinen Gaumen verzaubert hat. Ein weiterer Pluspunkt war die umfangreiche Weinkarte, die einige exzellente Paarungen für unser Essen bot. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis war ebenfalls sehr gut, insbesondere angesichts der hohen Qualität der Speisen und des Services. Insgesamt war mein Besuch im BAPU Restaurant ein wahrer Genuss und ich kann es nur wärmstens weiterempfehlen. Wenn Sie nach einem unvergesslichen kulinarischen Erlebnis suchen, sollten Sie unbedingt das Gericht 709 probieren! Vielen Dank an das Team von BAPU für einen fantastischen Abend. Summary: - Card payment possible. - Vegan selection available but unclear. - There is smoking. --- We were at BAPU with the entire family on Father's Day. The family-friendly layout ensured that there was a lot going on. With a bouncy castle and a small playground, that's no wonder. There are also tables that are a little further away from the children's game and therefore may be more attractive for people who want some peace and quiet. The selection of vegan dishes was okay. There were signs for a few things, but for several it said that although it was vegan, the only thing left was rice. A bit disappointing. The conditions were friendly and the time pressure was rarely noticeable. Big minus point is that they allowed smoking. Smoking should not be tolerated where people eat and children play. The restaurant is actually very good. However, the unclear labeling and smoking spoil it. A pity. Could have been 5 stars.

An interesting Indian restaurant at the Kleinmachnow lock.

Unfortunately we were probably a bit unlucky. We were served fairly quickly, but unfortunately after the starter the main course was forgotten and we had to wait an hour. Luckily the playground was well equipped so the child couldn't complain. When we ate there were more bones than meat and there was only a hint of onion and pepper in the sauce. Great if the child wants to play, but unfortunately I can't recommend it for eating.

First of all, I have to say that I can't understand all the positive reviews! This was the worst Indian food I have ever eaten. The meat was fried so dead that some of it could no longer be cut and it didn't taste like anything. The spices that are named in the menu have obviously been passed over. When we arrived late in the afternoon, 11 tables were occupied and there were five inattentive waiters running around. The lady was friendly, but the male contemporaries were unfortunately very reserved and uninterested in taking an order. A couple sat down at the next table and waited 50 minutes for their food. My second drink was forgotten and I then asked for the bill after waiting 20 minutes. When it came, we were offered a schnapps as an apology, which unfortunately took 15 minutes to arrive and we ultimately left. I will never visit this restaurant again.

You are warmly welcomed at Bapu and the rest of your visit continues like this: the atmosphere is clean and cozy. We had a very comfortable outdoor space with a view of the lock. The staff is extremely courteous and you receive very good service. The selection of dishes is ideal. We were very happy with our selection and can only recommend Bapu.

I got Chicken Tikka Masala delivered. The food came after just under 30 minutes, it was hot and tasted fantastic!!!! The boss immediately solved a problem with the bill. Truly unique service. This is rarely found today. Good luck with continued success.

I didn't expect that as the restaurant was very full. We were completely satisfied with the dishes we ordered. We sat outside in the tent on Valentine's Day. It was really nicely designed and the food tasted really good too! The prices were reasonable, although in my opinion a bit high for the cocktails. But I got a rose and a free small drink :) always happy!

We stayed at Bapu on Valentine's Day 2024. The restaurant was pretty full. The service was still friendly and very attentive. The food was very good, especially the "fried ice cream" for dessert. We will be back.

Visit to this restaurant is a must if you are looking for good Indian food with pleasant ambience and quality service. The food is flavorsome and very close to authentic. They have some dishes like the Nalli Nehari (for the lamb lovers) which is not easy to find on the menu of most Indian restaurants in Berlin. My favourite though was the Achari Sabzi, a vegetarian dish with assorted veggies and spices which can be enjoyed with both naan and as well as rice. In this restaurant you are allowed to pick either a bhatura /naan/kulcha or rice to go with your maincourse, unlike most Indian restaurants in the city which serve only rice by default. They have a spacious outdoor seating area alongwith outdoor heating arrangement for the slightly cooler spring days. They also have a small play area where the kids can enjoy themselves while the parents enjoy the food. Their online reservation system is also very convenient and hassle-free.

..wenn man einmal lecker indisch essen gehen möchte, ist man hier gut aufgehoben. Das Team ist freundlich aufmerksam und zuvorkommend. Das Essen sehr schön abgeschmeckt und reichlich vom Umfang. hier komme ich jederzeit gerne wieder.

Nachdem das Restaurant vom Vorbeifahren sehr einladend und gut besucht aussah, checkten wir die sehr guten (und zum Teil erkennbar unechten) Bewertungen. Wir entschieden uns zu einer (unkomplizierten Online-) Reservierung mit Freunden und wurden sehr herzlich auf der optisch einladenden Terrasse platziert. Die Stühle waren dann die erste Überraschung nach dem roten Teppich - unbequem, etwas zu tief und für korpulent geratene Persönlichkeiten sehr einengend. Wir bestellten uns zunächst Getränke. Eine andere Rezension beschreibt es ganz treffend: das Bier war warm und moussierend. Nicht jedermanns Geschmack. Unserer jedenfalls nicht. Das Problem wurde aber charmant und zufriedenstellend gelöst. Die Vorspeisen waren überwiegend lecker, wir sind allerdings nicht sicher, ob es sich bei allen Speisen um eigene Zubereitung handelte... Die Suppen überzeugten uns nicht. Die eingesetzten Teller und Bestecke in schwarz sind optisch zunächst ästhetisch, jedoch beim zweiten Blick mit Wasserflecken und Abdrücken versehen. Als gelernte Hotelfachfrau erlaube ich mir den Hinweis auf das Polieren... es lohnt sich allemal. Dem Essen, insbesondere den Hauptspeisen, aber auch den Inhabern, möchten wir keineswegs zu nahe treten. Das Essen ist lecker, ob es authentische indische Küche ist.... man mag es gerne glauben. Wir müssen aber sagen, dass wir definitiv schon besser indisch gegessen haben. Mein Essen war mir zu stark tomatisiert, mein persönliches Geschmacksproblem, das in der (deutschen) indischen Küche oft zu finden ist. Insbesondere die Vielschichtigkeit der möglichen Aromen fehlte zudem. Insgesamt ließen die Hauptspeisen leider die Raffinesse komplett vermissen. Unter'm Strich folgten zudem noch einige Fauxpas bei den Getränken (alkoholfreie statt normaler Biere)... aber nun gut. Das Personal rund um die herzlichen Inhaber wirkt zum Teil introvertiert und desorientiert, ist aber stets sehr um einen guten Service bemüht. Alles in allem ein Restaurant, das man besuchen kann. Uns hat es aber leider nicht überzeugen können. Update: 14.1.24: Kürzlich bestelle ich aus Zeitgründen dort aus der Mittagspause über Lieferando. Die Mittagskarte war abwechslungsreich und vielversprechend. Versprochen wurde auch, sofern ich nicht falsch gelesen habe, eine Linsensuppe. Das Essen wurde schnell geliefert. Es war heiß, aufwendig verpackt. Das Essen war, wie oben beschrieben. Am Stil der Küche hatte sich nichts verändert. Qualitativ gab es keine Veränderung. Und die Suppe fehlte. Ich probiere es in ein paar Jahren gerne wieder.

Wir waren eine größere Gruppe, hatten im Vorfeld einen Tisch bestellt und waren das zweite Mal hier. Der Tisch war schön gedeckt und wir bekamen einen Gruß aus der Küche. Die Vorspeisen, die Hauptgerichte und die verschiedenen Brote waren extrem lecker. Trotzdem es ziemlich voll wurde, war der Service nett und nicht aufdringlich. Es gibt auch eine Anzahl veganer Gerichte. Ich muss sagen, ein sehr gutes Restaurant, in das wir bestimmt öfters gehen werden.

Das BAPU Restaurant ist am Stahnsdorfer Damm 19, in 14532 Kleinmachnow, gelegen. Es handelt sich hierbei um ein gutes Indisches Lokal. Die Atmosphäre ist dort sehr angenehm und das Ambiente ist auch sehr schön. Unlängst habe ich dort gepflegtes Bier getrunken und eine Ente Makhni verzichtet Beides war sehr delicious. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich, hilfsbereit und sehr wertvoll. Ich darf diese vortreffliche Adresse gerne weiter empfehlen! Alle drei Kategorien wie Service, Essen und Ambiente müssen hier einfach mit 5 Sterne bewertet werden. Im Restaurant selber ist es total toll und ein absoluter Genuss. Der Service ist unglaublich gut und aufmerksam. Das Essen richtig gut. Kleine Karte aber dafür auf den Punkt genau. Liefern geht auch, ist jedoch ein deutlicher Unterschied... Ja... Besser als fast alle anderen Lieferanten im indischen Bereich, Empfehlen würde ich aber eher hinfahren, vor Ort bestellen und mitnehmen. Zeit +lieferwege = Qualitätsverlust

Wer das Kalkutta aus Berlin kennt, wird hier ähnlich gute Speisen erleben. Eine interessante interessante Küche der Neuzeit. Fazit: Ich habe in Teltow ein neues Lieblingsrestaurant Aktualisierung 2023 Mit den Jahren wurde das BAPU immer besser; viele Kleinigkeiten die mit Liebe zum Detail das Ambiente immer besser werden ließ. In den warmen Tagen kann man auch den Teltowkanal im Liegestuhl beim leckeren Cocktail genießen.

Came to this place a bit by accident during my business trip and it was a lucky hit. The food was amazing, I haven't eaten indian cuisine that good for 15 years since I got back from UK. Tikka masala was perfect and I really liked how the hotness increased, the chicken was juicy and in huge chunks. Butter naan baked perfectly, crispy and delicate. The indian lager on tap was also very tasty. The staff very friendly and helpful😊 Much recommended!

Das Essen ist hier wirklich sehr lecker und auch die Cocktails schmecken gut und sind auch schön zubereitet. Das Restaurant macht einen ordentlichen und sauberen Eindruck. Ich kann die ganzen positiven Rezensionen echt nicht nachvollziehen. Erstmal das positive vorne weg. Die Location ist schön, die Sitzplätze draußen mit Blick auf die Schleuse machen schon was her und das Personal ist grundsätzlich nett und freundlich. Da hört’s dann aber leider auch schon auf. Es hat sehr lange gedauert bis die Bestellung aufgenommen wurde, auch danach hat es eine gefühlte Ewigkeit gedauert, bis das erste Mal Getränke auf dem Tisch standen (wir mussten sogar nachfragen) und von der Bestellung des Essens, bis es auf dem Tisch war, ist etwas über eine Stunde vergangen. Sehr komisch bei den Getränken fand ich es, dass sowas wie Cola ausschließlich in 0,2l Flaschen angeboten wird, da wird man dumm und dämlich beim nachbestellen und verdurstet fast, bis man dann etwas Neues hat. Das Essen war geschmacklich ok, aber jede Sorte Fleisch, die wir bestellt haben, war mehr als tot. Von Ente bis Lamm war alles zäh, fest und trocken und das bei allen 8 Personen, die wir waren. Einfach ungenießbar. Es war sogar so „schlimm“, dass wir als Gruppe beschlossen haben, nie wieder zu diesem indischen Restaurant zu gehen.

Auf Grund einer Empfehlung habe ich dieses Restaurant besucht. Der Service ist schnell, kommt aber etwas kühl herrüber. Das Essen ist wie hier auch schon beschrieben etwas sehr fett lastig, was fritierte Gerichte betrifft. Um hier ein eindeutiges Urteil abzugeben ist ein zweiter Versuch notwendig .

Indisch mal anders als man es hier in der in der Gegend kennt. Lecker und authentisch. Sehr ehrliche Küche mit gutem Geschmack. Reichlich auf dem Teller. Die Desserts sind leider nicht so berauschend. Der Service ist aufmerksam aber nicht aufdringlich. Bekannt aus dem TV und bis heute sehr gut besucht, das Team ruht sich nicht auf dem Erfolg aus. 100% Weiterempfehlung.

Über lange Zeit unser geliebtes Stammlokal als Familie. Zum wiederholten Male stehen wir trotz Reservierung ohne Tisch da- der mit Tellern vollgestellte Personaltisch am Eingang wurde uns angeboten und dann arrogant hinzugefügt wir hätten ja keinen bestimmten Tisch reserviert- ich weiss nicht welche 4 stellige Summe wir schon dort gelassen haben - man hat es offenbar nicht (mehr) nötig. Man lässt uns wieder gehen…. Derweil fährt der Juniorchef mit dem 200.000 EUR Audi Sportwagen vor…. Nicht mehr unserer Welt- und für unsere Teenagerjungs auch nicht! Und ein Schnäppchen war es ja nie!

Immer wenn ich in Berlin bin muss ich dort essen. Das Ambiente ist toll. Das Essen so köstlich. Die Ente mit der Curry, Kokos Mangosoße ist ist so köstlich das ich den Rest immer mit dem Brot noch heraus kratzen muss. Und der Service ist perfekt.

Essen sehr fett , es schmeckte auch alles gleich, ziemlich geschmacklos. Relativ teuer für die Qualität. Service aber sehr freundlich und man sitzt schön auf der Terrasse.

Super leckeres Essen. Ich war schon in wirklich vielen indischen Restaurants aber das ist mit Abstand die beste indische Küche. Der Service ist super nett und freundlich. Immer eine schnelle Lieferung und warmes Essen. Parkplätze sind vor dem Restaurant. Immer wieder gerne.👍
