Banh Mi & Bubbles in Stuttgart

I got the special vegan oyster which was an experience. You have this flower bud that numbs your tongue and then eat this leaf with flower buds. It was a bit salty then it was very much I just ate a flower taste. The banh mi was disappointing I got the vegan rich boy. I was excited to have the truffle mayo with it but quickly found that the flavors clashed and wasn't good. The meat substitute inside felt lazy in that is wasn't flavored and too soft. The vegan loaded fries were good but not good enough to come back. The drink maybe the biggest disappointment as I paid €5.50 for the raspberry and mint lemonade. The drink didn't taste of lemons, raspberry, or mint flavor with is crazy it's just red water...

Super friendly staff & open atmosphere. You can be seated at a table with other people. You order online and pay online, great! After you've eaten, just get up and leave without waiting for the bill 👌🏼

The food is good. There are creative drinks and dishes. The service is okay, but you don't have to be bullied straight away because you haven't deregistered a person.

A lot of vegan options. The staff was very friendly and helpful and explained how we could order and pay via phone. The vibe and theme of an urban fusion kitchen is cool, though we found it a bit expensive for the rather simple food we got.

Mega nice place to experience, such great food, lots of vegan options! It was full house on the weekend, which is why the waiting time was long, but the waiter came to meet us. Unfortunately there was no more condensed milk for the Vietnamese coffee. But the experience is unique!

I recently had Banh Mi for the first time. The service was friendly, the rice paper chips on the house were a nice touch. Unfortunately, the food overall was very bland and didn't taste like anything: the ramen broth definitely didn't taste like miso, and the rice paper chips would be nothing without the spicy Sriracha on top. The toppings were sparse. Only the lemonade was good. I find it very practical to order and pay (e.g. PayPal) at the table using a QR code. What's outrageous, however, is that a tip of 7% is automatically preset (you can deselect it). The service is limited to bringing the food and doesn't stand out much, so a preset tip is pretty bold. I wouldn't eat here again.

Delicious!!! We felt very welcome and definitely recommend this place if you enjoy healthy Asian cuisine. Lots of tasty vegan dishes. Go and try, it’s so worth it!

Man solte noch genügend Zeit fürs Essen vor derComedy haben. Direkt bezahlt ok aber nicht online sondern an Bar wie es früher mal war .

Service was super nice and accommodating, the welcome rice paper chips are a nice touch, but unfortunately the rest of the food was at best ok. The broth of the ramen was a bit bland and the toppings were honestly absolutely meager for the price. Three thin slices of mushroom and a leaf of pak choi are actually almost audacious for €17. All in all it wasn't bad, but not good either.

A bit dark in the room, tall candles that are blinding and only ordering online gives a deduction, but the food is very good and the selection is interesting

It wasn't what I expected (it was very cold) but it was delicious. I found the entry very clever. The basil lemonade is very good, super refreshing!!

Tasty food and drinks, a lot of vegetarian options in a modern and cozy atmosphere. If you are looking for Vietnamese food with a special twist it’s a good place for it.

Super nice staff and the food tastes great too. The only drawback would be the long waiting time - waiting an hour for cold starters so that they came at the same time as ramen and buns (which were no longer hot) is well. But I'd love to come back when there's less going on :)

Ein absolut fantastischer Restaurantbesuch! Besonders die veganen Oysters als Vorspeise waren ein Highlight – geschmacklich und optisch einfach beeindruckend. Der Service war aufmerksam, freundlich und hat den Abend perfekt abgerundet. Ich komme sehr gerne wieder!

Ich werde dieses Restaurant nicht mehr besuchen, da es mir hier insgesamt zu laut war, und auch das Essen nicht überzeugt hat. Der Service war bemüht, allerdings konnte dies das Gesamterlebnis nicht mehr verbessern. Wir hatten alle unterschiedliche Bowls, die alle geschmacklich nicht überzeugten. Auch die Getränkeauswahl war dürftig. Nur Alkoholisches gab es in Mengen.

It was our first time at Banh Mi & Bubbles and we were thrilled. It is definitely one of the best Asian restaurants in Stuttgart. Furthermore, with a proportion of 80% vegan dishes, it is one of the hotspots when it comes to vegan alternatives in Stuttgart. You definitely have to try the vegan ramen soup and the bao burgers. The staff is super friendly, you just feel welcome here.

Erst wurde ein Gericht unserer Bestellung vergessen und dann wurde uns 30min später das falsche Gericht hingestellt und so kam es, dass wir als Veganer Hühnchen gegessen haben, bis wir an einem Knorpel herausfinden mussten, dass es echtes Fleisch war!!! Das Gericht war ja schon bezahlt, uns wurde angeboten das richtige Gericht zu bringen, uns war der Apetitt aber vergangen. Den Kindern wurde daraufhin ein Eis angeboten. Auf meine Beschwerdeemail kam keine Reaktion. Die Comedyshow war gut, aber vom Essen & dem Service sind wir sehr enttäuscht!

Etwas Gewöhnungsbedürftig, da alles nur online geht. Essen und Getränke kann man nur online bestellen. Das Essen war gut, Bedienung bringt nur das Essen und räumt ab. Alles etwas unpersönlich.

Of course we also ate something on the evening of the event. The real chicken burger was delicious, but I would have liked more of a bun, otherwise the presentation was great. The service staff was very nice. I really liked the option of ordering and paying directly at the table. Thank you.

Banh Mi & Ramen very overrated, we didn't like it. Beef gyoza & cucumber salad were good! Service is unfortunately impersonal due to the online ordering method in the restaurant, but the restaurant is beautifully decorated with plants.

Wir saßen recht lange in der recht lauten Lokalität, bis uns der Bestellvorgang - mit dem wir nicht vertraut waren - erklärt wurde. Bezahlt (mit Trinkgeld!) wird dann direkt beim Bestellen, was ich für schwierig halte. Als wir kurz raus sind, um zu rauchen, wurde unser Tisch neu vergeben. Am neuen Tisch, auf den wir gut 10 Minuten warten mussten, erhielten wir dann unser Essen, das geschmacklich wirklich gut war. Aber auch hier lief nichts rund: Ursprünglich bestellter Nachtisch nicht da. Alternative gewählt, dann nach ner Viertelstunde die Info, dass sich die Alternative nicht verfügbar ist. Also Alternative zur Alternative, die so nicht mein Geschmack war. Auf Nachtisch verzichten schwierig, da das bestellte Menü ja schon zu Beginn bezahlt worden war. Für alle Unannehmlichkeiten gab eine einen Schnaps und die mehrfach geäußerte Begründung des Personalmangels. Für uns der erste und wohl auch der letzte Besuch aufgrund des riesigen Organisationschaos.

Das Essen sowie der Service waren hervorragend, wir hatten zu 4. einen super schönen Abend u. empfehlen das Restaurant zu 100% weiter. Die Reservierung über „ Open Table“ klappte perfekt auch aus dem Ausland. Wir kommen sehr gern wieder. Herzlichen Dank an das gesamte Team

I was very positively impressed by Banh Mi & Bubbles! The food was incredibly delicious and the atmosphere was really great - a perfect mix of relaxed and stylish. Particularly noteworthy is the attentive and friendly service, which made the visit even more pleasant. Overall, a great experience and highly recommended!

The ramen was kind of mid, the broth didn't taste like much and the vegan chicken could have had more flavour too. The staff was very friendly though and the drinks were nice.

Apart from the very friendly service, we liked it here. It was the most boring Bahn Mi we've ever eaten...unimaginatively unauthentic.

A big place with a pleasant atmosphere, rhythmic and not too loud music Scan the barcode on the table, order on the restaurant's website, and you can also pay immediately with Google Pay. At yeshiva you get fried rice sheets with sweet chili - nice Meat gyoza dish was nice Ban Mi 'Ritz Kid' turned out to be a big and airy bun full of goodness. The dish contains sweet and sour pickles, crispy 'chips', pate spread and more. If only they would add or offer some chili peppers - it would be perfect. About 25 minutes passed between ordering and receiving the dishes, it is important to be aware of this at noon

Essen ist wirklich sehr sehr lecker, aber die Preise sind mittlerweile schon hoch, wobei die Portionen auch echt groß sind. Alles in allem auf jeden Fall hin und wieder ein Besuch Wert.

Great concept, delicious food, very friendly service and great drinks. As soon as you are seated at a table, you can order the food using the app (QR code on the table) and it will be delivered to you. You can also pay directly in the app via PayPal or later at the checkout.

"Fantastic Asian food!" Bahn Mi & Bubbles surprised me with a great selection of Japanese dishes! The burger platter was incredibly tasty, perfectly prepared and beautifully presented. The bowl was also a taste explosion - fresh ingredients, well-balanced flavors and everything in a beautifully presented bowl. The modern ambience and friendly service rounded off the experience. An absolute must for fans of Asian cuisine!

Very nice atmosphere, very nice staff, the food was so good, nice and crispy, not too hot, you had a lot of fun popping the edamame beans out of the shell. No suggestions for improvement as everything was perfect and wonderful.

Not as crowded as other Asian restaurants in the area. Fairly easy to book a table, i think they also accept walk-ins. Food is Vegetarian/vegan asian fusion. I'm happy they're not trying hard to market themselves like other Asian Restaurants in Germany. They are their own. Food is seasoned generously and tastes surprisingly very good for not having meat in it. There is one dish with real meat(chicken) that I remember, my friends says it tastes good too. The sushi taco was a challenge to eat, the nori wrap was falling apart and the bite was too big. Ordering via a QR code was 4/5. We didn't know about it until a member of the staff told us about it. We were waiting for someone to take our order for about 10-15mins. at that point. Moving forward, it was smoother. I'm not sure if there was an option to pay all that we've ordered at the very end, but we were having to take out our cards for card details to input every after order. Must've just been not communicated if it can be done. Drinks are also good. Except the Papaya spritz does not really taste like papaya at all. Over all, a hip, chill place. Lots of seating available, tables outside are also available. Smoking outside is also allowed. Restroom(ladies') are clean. Staff speaks English and German.

This was the third and final attempt at Banh Mi and Bubbles. The first time I booked, we showed up and there was a sign on the door, announcing the restaurant was closed that day. The second time, the restaurant cancelled my booking for 20+ people on the day of the actual booking - a Christmas Party - and we had to scramble to find a new place. The final attempt, last night, the restaurant was actually open! Everyone had to order separately through an app. They then brought our drinks and one friend's food and we didn't see staff again until I had to flag someone down over half an hour later. They then told us the system didn't register the food orders for the others, just the drinks. Surely, seeing the price we paid in the system and that only one person in the group was eating would make you check in? They eventually brought the rest of the food 45min after our friend was served and gave us a salad to share as ways of apology??? Never again. The food might be good and the location may look nice, but the service is an absolute mess and clearly hasn't improved beyond managing to be open.

Cool restaurant, you have to order the food online which is easy. You can reorder without any problems. Large selection of Asian dishes. My friends and I had ramen, mozzarella sticks, sweet potato fries and bao buns. Everything was very tasty.

Good food at a fair price. The individual “main courses” are relatively filling and an appetizer for two doesn’t hurt. The self-service takes some getting used to. The selection of cocktails is outstanding for a restaurant!

Heart recommendation: The bottomless special is a must have - fresh smashed cucumber salad, ultra delicious bao burgers with crunchy tofu (optionally with chicken) and a sushi taco, with as many bubbles as you can drink? It doesn't get much better than this! Incredibly attentive service, definitely go!

A really very interesting concept. Stand-up comedy in Stuttgart. We were very enthusiastic about the artists and those who want to become artists. Reserve online and take a seat. This restaurant offers a lot of different vegan dishes, but also something for the many meat lovers among us. The service is very friendly and accommodating! The food is simply outstanding! (I had the Asian Style Burger with Fries) But my personal favorite was the Vegan Oyster! Not just something to enjoy, but also something to experience! Always happy :D

Great recommendation!! We shared two different Bahn Mis and both were delicious! The service is also super accommodating and the ambience definitely invites you to stay longer. To drink we tried a Papaya Spritz, which was also very tasty. In addition, the food came really quickly and everything looked and tasted really freshly prepared! We'll definitely be back!

I expected more from the reviews I had already read, I don't know if it was an unlucky day but the waiter was very arrogant, he didn't bring us tickets (which they gave to everyone on our side for free), regarding the food there isn't much What to say, it hasn't changed my life, it seemed pretty simple to me. The food took almost 50 minutes to arrive, and the restaurant was not that busy, so if you want a nice place to eat and talk this is your place, because it took too long to bring the order, we didn't try the cocktails but the people around me tried them. they asked. I think that in relation to the price I would expect a little more.

Great food, fun restaurant, a bit slow service but worth it

This restaurant if you can even call it one is the perfect example of when expectations don't live up to reality. We pulled up to the restaurant and had to wait more than 5 minutes at the front desk with waiters just flying by and not paying any attention to us. Off to a good start ! Inside the restaurant, the design is okay but jeez the music was really obnoxious. It was disco music but really badly mixed. The bass was just firing so hard, causing almost a headache. We ordered with the qr code and then waited over 30 minutes to get the food. While we were waiting we decided to go to the restrooms. They are visually nice but not functional and not the cleanest. The whole thing was dark. Did I miss a light switch ?! At least the toilet part had additional lighting to even be able to see. Now to the food. The food tasted like it was made a few days ago and not made fresh. (Even though we waited so long !) The banh mi : supposed to be made with a baguette with a crispy crust - actually the bread was soggy and like the small soggy sandwiches they serve for free in planes - at least the content was ok. The bowl bathing beef : noodles were soggy and crumbled, clearly not fresh - soggy lettuce - extremely salty and the amount of vinaigre in there, oof ! At least the people working there were nice. Overall a really poor experience and do not recommend.

If Germany (it was just the European Championship) doesn't win gold, then the shop here will 🥰🌟 The bread was crunchy, the filling was juicy, and the gold dust? Feel like a millionaire without ruining your bank balance? Come here. Hats off to the team! If you want a bit of glamor and a full stomach, then Rich Kidz is for you.

I really enjoy this place, the staff is super helpful and friendly. The food is delicious, of course I always go for the meat options. They have a lot of vegan options, but I have only had a few things and those were also very well prepared. The drinks are always good and the atmosphere is usually very lively.

The food is amazing, the drinks are great and everything is worth its price! Some of the staff only speak English, but they'll be happy to get someone talking German, too. Also you should have your smartphone ready - I appreciate the specials and the up to date online menu where you order via smartphone, so you will always see what's available and what might not be. The vegan chicken bahn mi was awesome, I highly recommend it (if you like cilantro). Another plus point is that they serve the vegan crispy chicken in a separate bowl if you order the ramen, so it doesn't get soggy over time. The music is a tad too loud for my personal liking, but everything else was great! It feels like they really put a lot of thought into making this space what it is - awesome!

Visually very cool, food wise disappointing. We were here spontaneously on Saturday evening. It was quite empty and we quickly got a table for two. The service was nice, even if we personally don't really like having the individual dishes presented in a mini lecture (but don't see that as a negative point, there are certainly guests who appreciate that as very attentive). Ordering is done via QR code. The food was very nicely prepared, but to be honest: it just didn't taste like anything. You can't even say it tasted bad because it was just bland. The chicken strips were fried until crispy, but you didn't taste anything. The soup, the noodles, the vegetables (which were heated rather than blanched)... Not a hint of salt or spices or any other flavor. The only thing that really had any taste was the sauce on the rice paper that was served as a welcome snack. Given this, we didn't think the prices were appropriate either. The drinks were OK. We didn't try any cocktails, so we can't say anything about that. This location may be known more for the trendy atmosphere and events (there is probably stand-up comedy from time to time) than for the food. Conclusion: stomach full, something pleasing to the eye, but unfortunately no pleasure for the tongue.

The store tries desperately to be hip and trendy, but it's very inauthentic. The balancing act between ostentatiously upscale and iconic is rather semi-successful. The furnishings are without much love, bare walls and cafeteria chairs cannot be made up for by jungle graffiti (?) and candles. The food sounds upscale on the menu and is also prepared in a fancy way. But here too, the gold dust cannot compensate for anything. The bowl was a tasteful mess of ingredients that didn't harmonize. And once you got through the completely over-salted tofu and way too large pickled ginger, you were left with bland noodles with a sauce that wasn't properly emulsified. The Banh Mi was also announced as fancy with truffle mayo and gold dust and tasted like... coriander.

This evening at 8:31 p.m. we arrived. So many people and we were waiting for the waiter. I saw the basement needs a lot of work. I understand all of this but only ordered dinner late. Unfortunately the wait was a bit long. We were very hungry. Ordered chicken vegan, sweet potato, burger, sandwich (hot name forgot at the moment :/). Chicken was cold and so was my burger :/. Sandwich bread was dry. Sweet potatoes are really tasty and also warm :) ... <— Luckily they were at least good 🤞🏻 Numbers Wait a minute, I also said: There are only 2 people working in the kitchen 💁‍♂️. Nevertheless the waiter was very nice. If you want to make people eat well you need more people pleaseeeeeee. Of course we would also like to sit and drink, but that's not possible :/ everything to eat is simply ruined. No desire and also angry, a lot of stress. Probably, drinking is better. However, I no longer visit...

Came in spontaneously today. They also had a spot available for us. We were given a great explanation of the ordering system and also given a recommendation. The food was good, but the finishing touches were missing. If you want to come just for the food, you might be disappointed. If you're looking for a stylish evening with friends, something to drink and a good meal at the same time... If you want to eat very well, this is the right place for you. Vegan/vegetarian selection is great!! You can also leave out the coriander if you wish ;)

Scan, order and pay using your mobile phone. Very well and simply implemented. Giving a tip in advance seems very awkward to me, but I'm actually rewarding my satisfaction "after" the meal. If you don't want to use electronic means of payment these days you should just go somewhere else, bad reviews for this are out of place. Otherwise it was delicious and we'll definitely come back.

I’ve been in Stuttgart a bit and walked by here many times but never stopped in. I did tonight with friends. Lovely place! The food was tasty. The cocktails were top notch. I really liked the ordering system! We had great service. Olga and the brunette waitress were very attentive and service was fantastic. I’ll definitely start making this place a regular. Thanks for a fun evening!

Everything I ate (and I go by often) was delicious! Sometimes too spicy for me because I'm generally sensitive to spicy, I still ate it because it was just so delicious)) my favorites are: vegan bowl and ramen, sweet/normal potato fries, salmon ceviche. From drinks - Vietnamese iced coffee and gua yuzu lemonade ❤️

Very complicated ordering system. There is a card on the table to pre-select your order, which you then place using your mobile phone. When ordering electronically, not all dishes are suddenly available. Without a credit card or Google Pay you are lost. Cash payment not possible at all. I'm supposed to round up my tip when I order without knowing what the service is like. The food was okay, nothing special. A note when reserving a table by phone that there was a comedy event taking place that evening would have been nice. Then we would have chosen another evening.

Popped in without reservation and was able to be seated at bar. The rice chips were interesting and very tasty with the supplied sauce. Had the tofu Bahn mi. It was bigger than I expected and the bread was pretty tasty, not perfect but very good. As noted on other reviews, a little light on the tofu but the veggies and sauce were fresh tasty and unique. Would come back.
