Amazing experience. They took the best care of us that I could have wanted.

Whenever I'm working in Berlin, I regularly plan a visit to this great, somewhat smaller restaurant. Cool atmosphere with first-class service. The food (7-course menu) is excellent, with many culinary highlights you'd never expect ('simply outstanding craftsmanship'). There's also a vegetarian menu and a very good wine selection. Always a great experience, without any compromises! Six stars and more.

Outstanding dinner for our taste buds with innovative flavour and texture combinations. Add to this a perfect and generous wine pairing combined to a sympathetic service and you have all ingredients for an unforgettable evening.

If you book here, you’re stuck with a very limited set menu. Vegetarians only get the meat removed and pay just €10 less, which feels unfair. The food arrived cold, flavors clashed, and portions were odd—3 people got the same bread as 1 person. 😔 Service was also poor. Our waiter left midway, leaving us confused about who was serving. For a Michelin experience, it felt nonchalant and cold. 😢 The strangest part: walk-ins can order à la carte, but booked guests are forced into set menus. Even with the restaurant half empty, we weren’t allowed to order only à la carte… Overall, no real experience, no warmth, and no flexibility—just disappointing to say the least… shame

We had a great experience at the restaurant. The place is small. The staff is polite and helpful. And the food was excellent. There were no dish we could have said "so so". We enjoyed all the dishes, and we didn't feel like we had eaten too much despite the 6-course menu. We are already planning our next visit.

A very well-run Michelin-starred restaurant in a quiet location on Torstraße, offering a seasonally changing, stylish and tastefully arranged 7-course menu.

First of all: it was a wonderful evening! We enjoyed the highest quality food and complemented it with matching wines. The service was outstanding, and the dishes were presented personally by the chef. This was our first time at this wonderful restaurant, but certainly not our last. Thank you!

It was exquisite, most dishes deliciously subtle, but especially perfectly paired with the right wine or non-alcoholic mocktail. It was a joy to experience!

Surprising decor for exquisite cuisine

A repeat guest & another very nice menu. Great wine list (including one of our favorite wines), attentive service, and the food was very well-crafted, but not one dish that really impressed us.

Absolutely wonderful experience yesterday at Bandol sur mer. The food was incredible, of course, and the service was both friendly and timely, provided in both English and German at our request. I have four food allergies that make it difficult to go out to eat, and the kitchen accommodated me beautifully; at no point did I feel like I was missing out on anything, because my dishes were just as visually appealing and delicious as my partner's. We sat outside so as to enjoy the Berlin atmosphere and enjoyed every minute.

Something very special. Thanks also to the helpful staff when I got a gift certificate for my parents. It made the gift perfect!

We came to celebrate my bf birthday. I have no question towards food, it was tasty. It did not leave a wow effect, but we enjoyed it nevertheless. It is too overpriced - a glass of wine from a bottle that costs 20euros is 13?? So you can definitely see what big of a difference it makes, also the water offered was not free, as you would expect in such a high - end restaurant. Cozy atmosphere, I was disappointed that the waiter did not tell us about the story or the technique of cooking the dishes, for such a high price (700€ final bill) the dishes deserved a proper presentation, and not just relisting the ingredients we could see in the menu.

Pricey but delicious. Amazing flavours and very interesting non-alcoholic pairing. Would have liked more of the food for the price but overall don't regret visiting.

An unforgettable experience. The lamb course served was perfectly balanced and accompanied by a fine red wine. The flavors were of the highest quality – a delight for all the senses. Highly recommended!

A really cozy little restaurant that is definitely worth a visit because every cent is well spent here. Enjoyment at the highest level, warm and competent service without being intrusive, you can feel the passion with which we work here! There are also very interesting non-alcoholic homemade drinks. There is a lot to discover here, if you are in Berlin you should definitely stop by!

I go and own an upscale fine dining restaurant myself. I haven't had a better menu to eat in a long time. Great composition of components, even if there were only a few components in some courses, you can see that less is more here. I have never had such a sophisticated preparation of salsify, for example. A successful evening that I would like to repeat.

New favorite star restaurant in Berlin. Why? Every course an adventure, non-pretentious, only 6 tables which makes it very cozy, knowledgeable staff and you can follow the highly concentrated artists prepare the food. Impressive, regional, creative food. Beautifully presented. In terms of craftsmanship, nothing is left to be desired. From a culinary point of view it could be a bit louder. For the price (min. €200 p.p.) you expect a little more. The service is friendly, the style is rather simple. Food is served without offering options. There is still potential left for the absolute upper class.

The food was very good, the prices for wine were too expensive, and new water was constantly put in front of you without asking.

A very nice place for a tasting dinner, you can choose from a longer or a slightly shorter (probably two items) tasting menu, as well as a'la carte dishes. In the longer meat menu they add fish options, in the vegetarian menu there were appropriate substitutes. The service was very nice and professional, each dish was described when served, and despite the crowd, they spent a lot of time with us. Interesting decor, matching the place and atmosphere.

At the start of the evening if there is space they accept walk-in diners who can order a la carte from the menu. Dishes were all delicious and creative and we enjoyed wine and bread sitting outside on a beautiful evening. My best friend was visiting and this was a lovely way to celebrate their time here.

Small but very fine restaurant. There is a lot of craftsmanship behind the dishes. Great service, laid back, top wines and a very exciting menu that is worth every euro.

A restaurant that takes some getting used to in this price range. But the very good cuisine more than makes up for it. Good wines. We were unlucky with the meat, too stringy and hardly edible, more than two thirds were lost. It wasn't the preparation but the meat, the best restaurateur isn't in it. At that price we wouldn't have expected just a sorry. I would like to thank you for the flower service. All in all a nice evening.

Very friendly service. Dishes are a very fine combination of local and French influences. When the weather is nice, the few places outside are particularly recommended: eat in the city atmosphere.

Unfortunately for me it was extremely expensive at €570 for two people, the food was very tiny, you had no choice, the glasses had no calibration mark of 0.1l, deceptive.

Wholeheartedly recommend the non-alcoholic drink pairing - it was just lovely and it complemented the taste of the food menu perfectly! Thank you for this delicious experience!

All the dishes have a character of Berlin. Experimental and international mood on all the dishes but not harming the each ingredient’s own flavour. Wine paring was okay. My husband really liked the mood and music of the evening. This is the most accessible and nice fine dining in Berlin. I liked it.

It's amazing what is conjured up in this kitchen. We had 4.5 fantastic hours with the full menu including wine accompaniment and a great evening. The love and effort that goes into every single product so that it finds its perfect shape on the guest's plate is very inspiring. All explained and served by a friendly little team. Wir sind dort gestern Abend eingekehrt, da ich dies als Geburtstagsgeschenk bekommen habe und um es vorab zu sagen, Traumhaft lecker und eine wirklicher Genuss in allen Gängen. Ich verabscheue Rote Beete, ich mag keine Sellerie, ich bin eher kein Vegetarier, also beste Voraussetzungen!!! Ich komme hierher und bekomme das alles serviert und bin hellauf begeistert wie toll, einfallsreich und gekonnt das alles hier umgesetzt ist. Und schau an, Rote Beete, Sellerie können unglaublich lecker und einfallsreich angerichtet sein. Ein Traum. Das "schön normale" Ambiente schreckt nicht ab, im Gegenteil, einfach und schlicht. Das Personal locker, professionell, humorvoll, stand mit vielen Infos, Rat und Tat gern zur Seite und unser Kellner (mit Brille), war einfach nur ein wirklich richtig guter Symphatieträger. Es war ein wahnsinnig tolles Erlebnis und ich bin mir sicher, wir sehen uns wieder. Ein unglaublich schönes Erlebnis und DANKE an die Crew dort. Ihr wart TOLL!!!

Das Atmosphäre war iwie total anders als erwartet. also nicht ganz schlimm. hatte früher sehr finemässige michelin guide restaurants besucht. hier war etwas lockerer. hatte ein Weinglas umgebrochen und dafür sollte man noch zusätzliche Kosten in Höhe von 10 euro mit rechnen.

This was a beautiful experience the food and service were on point! Keep in mind this restaurant its in the heart of Berlin and has a true Berlin feeling, some of the dishes were really elaborate and fantastic to taste, I loved it!!

Wir hatten einen wunderschönen Abend. Die Speisenfolge war ausgesprochen gut aufeinander angestimmt. Der Service war sehr kompetent, unaufdringlich und sehr freundlich. Leider war unser Tisch direkt an der Straße und deshalb auch mal laut und wuselig. Der Besuch im Bandol sur mer zählt zu unseren Favoriten in Berlin.

Perfektion, Raffinesse, Service… der Anfang einer Liebesgeschichte

Some of the menu items were absolutely great, some weren't... And the price imo is astronomical for what is to offer.

Was für ein wundervoller Abend. Das Essen, fast alle Gänge vegetarisch, raffiniert ausgewählt, lokale, saisonale Zutaten und das Beste, am Limit abgeschmeckt. Somit in jedem Gang ein Aroma Erlebnis. Dazu eine schöne Champagner und Weinauswahl, besonders Interessant, ein spanischer Rotwein aus Galizien aus dem Stahltank!, leicht, wenig Säure und sehr harmonisch. So in Berlin noch nicht getrunken. Dazu eine Bedienung, welche immer zu unterhalten weiss, so darf das ruhig immer sein. Alles in allem, Perfekt! Herzlichen Dank und meiner Meinung nach, ist der zweite rote Stern in greifbarer Nähe…..

Ein stimmiges und geschmacklich gutes Menü mit einer tadellosen Weinbegleitung.

Our second visit here was very very disappointing. Unbeknown to us the menu was all vegetarian with the exception of two meat options which were an additional 50+€ per person. This was on top of the 159€ per person that we were already spending on the veggie courses which we would not normally have chosen to eat. The wine pairing was an additional 120€ each on top of that! But apart from the eye watering costs, other things were wrong. The white tablecloths have disappeared and the service was poor. Our appetisers had been served and we still had nothing to drink nor even a napkin (which we eventually asked for). The tables are just like any other average street cafe on Torstrasse so it definitely doesn’t have a special appeal without cloths. We decided to not have the wine pairing and just order a bottle. The least expensive was 85€ and they ranged into the thousands! There is no doubt that the chef is skilled but this experience we found tasteless and portions incredibly small, even for this type of restaurant. The 39€ extra roebuck course was the best but gone in two bites. After 7 courses of beautiful looking (but very very salty) morsels we were still hungry. Some I could not even eat because the sauces were just over-reduced and so so salty. It was a birthday celebration but we found it hard to celebrate, especially when we got the bill. Nearly 500€ for a meal we didn’t enjoy. Berlin is a vegan/veggie hotspot but this restaurant needs to take care not to follow this trend and alienate meat and fish eaters. Typically, the veggie crowd do not spend this sort of money on eating out and as a result the restaurant was almost empty. Last time we went we loved it but sadly we won’t go again. I would like a word with the Michelin star inspector who awarded this restaurant one star last year, perhaps it was different then. I do hope this year they will visit and think again because to spend this sort of money should guarantee a certain level of food, ambience and service. We went to Golvet last month (in Berlin and cheaper) and that blew your mind! It was incredible and we highly recommended you go there instead of here. We have given two stars even though it really only deserved one because we feel they have the skill but have just lost the plot.

Great experience in nice ‚off-style’ ambience

Disappointing. We had high hopes for this restaurant based on the reviews. I can't believe it's been given a Michelin star. I've been to several Michelin starred restaurants and this is the worst. The food was nicely presented but the flavours didn't work. They were either overwhelming, in the case of one dish with miso, or too heavily reliant on burnt flavours. There was nothing new, exciting, or interesting about the dishes. Each tiny dish took much too long to arrive, no doubt because they took a long time to prepare, but I don't understand how they managed to not taste good. There was one dish with verbena and champagne which was truly awful. The service was cold and utilitarian. The chefs looked so unhappy, and it was expressed in their creations. It took over 3 hours to have an unsatisfactory dinner that left us hungry. Even the recommended German sparkling wine was sub par. I have had better bottom shelf supermarket offerings. We would have left sooner, but I was determined to extract some value out of the expense. A quenelle, a dehydrated disc, and some hay doesn't make a good meal or restaurant. Go elsewhere. Berlin has so many better restaurants.

The most disappointing Michelin star meal I have ever had..the staff do not seem excited at all about the food. There is no passion in what they do. I felt the vegetables where slaughtered. Everything tasted the same, burnt and over flavoured. What got me the most was we had reserved weeks ago and clearly stated that I have an aversion to eggs. Despite that and despite being asked about eggs I was twice served dishes with eggs. I did not eat then and was very disappointed that no attempt was made to provide an alternative.. in addition I returned two dishes as they simply weren't good enough. My partner and I both left disappointed and felt we'd wasted our time and money. We also left hungry. However,.nearby are many better places to eat and off we went and paid for more food elsewhere for a fraction of the price! I've never done that after leaving any other Michelin star restaurant!

Wir waren am 17.02.23 dort zu Besuch und sind immer noch total verzaubert. Tolles Lokal,tolle Atmosphäre. Das Essen war hervorragend. Besonders erwähnenswert, mit welcher Leidenschaft und Hingabe dort gearbeitet wird. Ein absolutes Highlight. Weiter so und vielen Dank für den schönen Abend.

Immer wieder eine Freude. Tolle Weine, großartiges Essen, angenehme Atmosphäre. Klein aber fein. Service toll, nicht aufdringlich. Zum Schluss gab es ein Päckchen mit Brot. Hat uns zum Frühstück geschmeckt. Danke!

A very cozy atmosphere in this small but well designed place. The staff was friendly and attentive. The food was prepared in the small open kitchen and tasted fabulous . A perfect combination of opposing flavours and consistencies. This place is a definite fine dining recommendation.

High-end restaurant with quirky interior. The food was amazing! Every plate was unique and served as a multi-course fixed menu. When you want haute cuisine this is the place in Berlin.

We had the full menu. It was a bit long and repetitive to be honest. But I guess I'm not the right target for haute cuisine. The venue is very average and so is the music.

Schönes Restaurant an einer lebendigen Seitenstrasse mit einem sehr soliden Menu, zum Teil zu ähnliche Gänge. Der Moor Möhre, Charcuterie, XO, Kimchi Gang war wirklich perfekt.

Sehr schmackhaftes und originell zubereitetes Essen. Hier wird sehr kreativ gekocht. Der Service ist sehr aufmerksam und trotzdem geht es locker zu. Einfach das Menü bestellen, einen guten Wein dazu und verwöhnen lassen!

Such an amazing and inspirational way to present the food. Coming out in a few courses and allowing you to choose different options for which courses you want to take.

Heard good things about this Michelin starred restaurant so went to try it. There was a 15 course dinner for 159 Euros and overall it was pretty good. Particularly the two main courses were very tasty. There were some dishes that I didn't like as much as the flavours were too strong / had a big soy sauce like taste to it. It did take quite long for the food to all come out and for us to finish. From when we arrived to when we left, it was almost four hours. If the te could be shortened, that would be better.

Nous avons été tellement déçus!!! Nom trompeur qui n*a rien à voir avec Bandol, que nous connaissons très bien, design qui se la joue "shabby berlinois", présentation trop maniérée des plats, mais sans vraie chaleur, cuisine ouverte mais aucun intérêt des cuisiniers pour les clients qui sont en face d'eux, prix ridiculement cher des plats qui se veulent "alambiqués"... mais que nous avons trouvés moyens ... Nous habitons Berlin et ne reviendrons plus manger ainsi pour environ 600 €!!!

Das Essen fantastisch, unglaublich mit wie viel Liebe und Aufwand zubereitet. Aber viel zu schnell hintereinander serviert, Genuss braucht Zeit. Alle sehr freundlich, aber fast zu viel des Guten und bei 670 € Rechnung, pünktlich vor die Tür gesetzt....

Es war fantastisch. Der Stern ist mehr als verdient. Der Service herzlich und professionell. Alles in Allem ein echtes Erlebnis. Wir freuen uns auf das nächste Mal.

Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Essen ist Geschmackssache.

Ich gehe seit Jahren mit Freunden in das Bandol und bin immer wieder über die Raffinesse der einzelnen Gänge positiv überrascht. Das habe ich so in anderen Berliner Sterne-Restaurants noch nicht erlebt. Außerdem hat das kleine Restaurant eine fast familiäre und sehr gemütliche Atmosphäre - hier erlebt man keine Massenabfertigung. Die Weinbegleitung überrascht ebenso positiv mit sehr gut ausgewählten Weinen. Fazit: Für mich schon eine Berliner Institution, die man in der Sterneküche erlebt haben sollte!

An amazing restaurant with super tasty plates. A must to try, at least once

Late review, from Fall 2021. I am wrong, again. This is the smallest, most laid back, most casual Michelin restaurant. With only 14 indoor seats, two servers, a chef, sous chef and dishwasher, in a really open kitchen: the furthest seat from the chef is maybe 5m away. But the food is excellent, the service amazing. I think that the one server is wearing a Carhartt t-shirt just to annoy people who think a tie is needed to enjoy amazing food. I will definitely return. 2021 10 03. M1.

What a lovely and special place. Friendly service, fresh flavors and lots of vegetarian options. Both the wines and non-alcoholic drinks were delicious.

Wir hatten einen wundervollen Abend in dieser total spannenden, ausgefallenen Location. Die Crew wirkt als wäre sie ein eingeschworenes Team, das sich wirklich schätzt und die beiden vom Service waren herrlich entspannt, locker und haben uns den Abend ganz leicht genießen lassen. Das rundet das Sterne-Essen ganz wunderbar ab, für das wir den weiten Weg nach Berlin auch wieder machen würden :)

We enjoyed the deep tastes, were a bit disappointed from the beef portion, which wasn't of the highest quality, appreciated the good and attentive service and felt that some motifs repeated themselves (fermented mushrooms). Overall, a unique and flavorful experience.

Total lecker! Und man kann sich vertrauensvoll in die Hände des Service begeben und ihren Vorschlägen folgen.

Whilst the food and place were lovely, we left our birthday dinner with a slightly funny feeling last night. The staff were nice at the table but then when one particular waitress left our table she would go over to her colleagues and speak to them then they would all look over at us. This happened a few times which has left us feeling uncomfortable throughout the evening. A real shame as obviously not the cheapest of places to dine at.

Ein sehr kleiner Gourmettempel mit etwa 18 Plätzen. Sehr gute Speisen und Getränke. Die Bedienung ist wirklich excelent. Der Gastraum ist in einem Altbau und ist nicht wirklich der heutigen Zeit gemäß. Das kann man aber akzeptieren. 😊

Ein wunderbarer Abend, an den wir uns noch lange erinnern werden. Haben uns im Bandol mit der lockeren und ungezwungenen Stimmung auf Anhieb wohl gefühlt. Das Menü selbst war außerordentlich spannend - bei jedem Gang wird man überrascht mit neuen Geschmacksnuancen. Die fachkundige Getränkebegleitung allein war schon den Besuch wert - in Kombination eine wirklich tolle Erfahrung. Neben der Küche gilt unser besonderer Dank der sehr herzlichen und zuvorkommenden Bedienung - macht weiter so :-)

Had been there several times - always a good choice in Berlin if you are looking for good food with a French touch. Fair prices for that menu (really good wine recommendations) - sometimes a little more "courage" to flavors would be perfect :) But great place to go!

Wir haben einmal "Alles" genommen und waren sehr zufrieden! Hatten einen tollen Abend mit so einigen geschmacklichen Highlights. Vor allem die Auberginenpate, die Forelle, der Deichkäse und das Rohmilcheis haben es mir persönlich angetan. Der Service war sehr gut. Das Team war sehr aufmerksam, freundlich und locker. Über den Vorschlag einer abgespeckten Version der Weinbegleitung haben wir uns gefreut. Auch dort haben wir Neuland entdecken können. Die Atmosphäre ist locker und ungezwungen. Draußen aber sicher etwas gemütlicher als drinnen- auch wenn man die gut befahrene Straße vor der Nase mögen muss. Uns hat's nicht gestört! Wichtig ist auch zu sagen, dass wir satt geworden sind :) (Haben woanders schon andere Erfahrungen machen müssen). PS.: Eins A Klopapier! :D

Excellent restaurant. Attendez-vous à une cuisine d'opinion avec un choix limité, dans un cadre détendu... Clairement, en cuisine, on maîtrise la technique.
