Food was perfect and reminded me of Thailand. I was so greedy, ordered too much and that's why my husband had to wheel me home🤣 so a clear recommendation 👏🏼

Everything is very, very good here, authentic Thai, really like the original. Everything was super delicious. Warm people, a blessing especially in Berlin!

Everything worked out even for a quick visit. The food was super tasty and very authentic! It went very quickly after I asked and definitely convinced me. The dish Khao Man Gai really caught my fancy and is one of my comfy foods in Thailand (you can get it at every rest stop in Thailand but very underrated in Germany.. super simple but 100% comfort) Anyone who is a lover or has already tried Thai food in Thailand will be able to say that too👌🏽 The only thing I would complain about was the Thai iced tea because it was very watery and didn't convey the taste of the tea authentically. There were actually Thai people who ran the restaurant, which is not the case for many. The atmosphere is relatively small but cozy and the decoration is like a restaurant in Thailand :) Unfortunately I didn't take any photos but the plate looked great and was of good quality and a good size. Immediately my GoTo in Berlin 🤍

What a gem! I was just browsing through restaurants visible in Google Maps and had a good gut feeling about this place. And I can’t describe how good and authentic it was - you may want to check for yourself. One thing that surprised me was PadThai with duck. It was so unusual that I had to try it! And wow, the meat was tender and juicy, with crispy skin. Tom Kha Gai was also incredibly tasty and aromatic, not too spicy. The menu is short, but covers most traditional and famous dishes from Thai cuisine. Definitely recommended

I had the Pad Thai and it was really delicious and very authentic. The food came super quickly and the staff was very friendly.

We went here because of the good reviews. Tables weren't cleaned, the service didn't speak German and English didn't understand them properly. But, the coconut milk soup was good, the chicken skewers were dry, the noodles and rice were bland. It's a shame because it's not that cheap either.

Highly recommended! I've never eaten Thai before and I really love it. We ordered several things and shared them at the table. Everything tasted so incredibly delicious. I definitely have a new favorite restaurant.

I come from North Rhine-Westphalia and got the tip to eat here because I love authentic Thai food. Anyone who has ever been to Thailand knows how difficult it is to imitate this cuisine, even in Germany! Accordingly, I have to say that every dish tasted simply great and authentic! The homemade iced tea is a recommendation! Just like the crispy duck, the papaya salad, the kaprow and everything else we ate! Every visit is worth it! Go there and enjoy the atmosphere ❤️

I wanted to try a new Thai shop. We made a reservation in advance, as the restaurant was very full, this seems to be recommended. The service was very quick and nice. The menu is very small, which is great because this usually means that everything is super fresh and there aren't too many different ingredients in stock. The food was good across the board and the price point reflected this. The interior is very pleasantly decorated. I was told that there are sauces etc. on the tables in a kind of holder, just like in Thailand. Definitely try the Mango Sticky Rice!

In the restaurant you immediately feel like you are in Thailand. I ate a Pad Thai with tofu and was unfortunately a bit disappointed. Apart from bamboo shoots, there were no vegetables whatsoever and the taste didn't blow me away either. But it has a pretty high price. The Mango Sticky Rice was also good, but could still be improved and the portion was much too small for €10. My friends had 2 dishes with meat and also no vegetables. The service is very attentive and you get various sauces to season with

Thai restaurant with a Thai team - what could go wrong? Friendly staff, nice interior, bringing back pleasant memories of Bangkok. The menu is small but capacious. Chang beer available. Unfortunately, the food turned out to be completely un-Thai. Tom Kha soup lacks the typical seasonings - lemongrass and galangal. In Pad Kaprao, the basil disappeared somewhere, but green beans appeared. And it doesn't smell like oyster sauce at all. Just like chili. It is clear that the restaurant is targeting the “average client” who is not used to strong spiciness, but without chili at all it’s somehow boring. The papaya salad turned out to be the closest to the original, though not spicy, but sweet. Even the joy of a traditional Thai basket with seasonings and sauces was short-lived. Pepper sauces are more savory than hot. Even ground pepper couldn't bring the food up to Bangkok standard. Disappointing.

Amazing!This Place is amazing. Food is soooo goood!!! Warm freshh food. The staff is so lovely, and freindly , especially Goi she is patient and so kind, she changed my tea twice because i didnt like it🙄 I recommend this place!❤️

Very authentic food, with dishes that are not so common elsewhere.

I chose this restaurant because of the very good reviews and the menu with original Thai dishes. Admittedly, the staff is very friendly and tries to fulfill the guests' wishes. As for the dishes, I had SomTam (papaya salad) Pad Krapau (fried minced meat) and a Tom Kha soup with chicken. All dishes that can be prepared quite easily as long as you have the ingredients. The papaya salad was the most authentic of all. Unfortunately very sweet and not very spicy, which is debatable. Not everyone likes spicy. Nevertheless, it was missing. The first disappointment came with the minced meat. Very well served with beans, it tasted more like soy sauce. Neither spiciness nor sweetness could be tasted. I also missed the typical taste of oysters and fish sauce. I was able to regulate the spiciness to some extent with Prik Nam Pla (chilli garlic in fish sauce). Basil, which rounds it all off, was not present at all. I was most disappointed with the Tom Kha soup. Coriander, lemon grass and galangal were missing. It tasted like instant soup, only made from tom yam bouillon cubes with coconut cream. Zero sharpness here too. The Chang beer did not disappoint. I love it. Thai beer, best with ice, goes best with Thai food. Conclusion: the restaurant has good substance, but can be expanded further. The only explanation to me why most guests leave such high ratings here is because this is not Vietnamese cuisine with a mix of all sorts of East Asian dishes.

As of November 2024, Bami is now my favourite Thai restaurant in Berlin. It has simply become consistently very good in the last 12 months. I usually go for the som tam and khao man gai , but everything here is very good. As authentic as you can find in the city. + I am always very well looked after by the manager/waitress who is most often there. 🙏🏻🙏🏻

a lot of Thai food in Berlin is overrated and really subpar, in my opinion, but bami is here to save the day! The food is authentic, fresh, and very yummy. It can be hard to get a table so come early if possible.

We tried three main courses and unfortunately none of them really impressed us. We expected more for the price and were quite disappointed. What was positive was that the dishes were ready very quickly. We probably won't eat there again though...

As others already mentioned, it always feels like being back to Thailand! As authentic as gets in Berlin! I love the Larb, Som Tam and Pad Krapao! One of favourite places in area!

While the food was tasty, 12e for a small side portion of a salad is criminally expensive. In general, all of the meals are with a price that exceeds the norm, which would make me not visit this place anytime soon due to a vast competition around.

Price-performance ratio is more than fair, especially considering the high quality. Conclusion: A must for lovers of Thai cuisine and anyone who wants to experience an authentic insight into the culinary diversity of Thailand. We'll definitely be back!

The Thai restaurant was an absolute discovery! The atmosphere was cozy and authentic, perfect for a relaxing evening. The staff was very friendly and attentive, which made the visit particularly pleasant. The food was outstanding – from the freshness of the ingredients to the perfectly balanced flavors. The green curry and pad thai were particularly enjoyable, with just the right balance of spiciness and flavor. The vegetarian options were also varied and just as delicious. I'm already looking forward to the next visit. A real highlight for lovers of Thai cuisine!

It feels like being back in Bangkok again! I’ve been to Thailand many times and I know this is real authentic Thai food. Every single dish was yummy and on point. Portion and price is also good! Definitely 5 stars!

The food was excellent and a standout in the area (which has more than a couple generic Asian spots). Portions are not huge, and prices are not super low, but the taste is great so I would definitely recommend and come back again.

A great spot for authentic Thai classics. Convenient, tasty, and affordable! Their service is also worth noting. Had ordered food via Uber Eats and for whatever reason only one of the two dishes arrived. After contacting them they remedied the issue and had the food delivered and even refunded me for the missing dish, totally not necessary but appreciated! it’s refreshing and comforting to have a restaraunt care about the customer and to go above and beyond what’s needed to make the customers feel good! Quite rare for Berlin as well.

Small menu (unfortunately no decent starters), but with enough options. Food is delicious, that's how I imagine authentic Thai food. The service is friendly and on Sonntagstr. You can also do great “public viewing” at the same time.

This is the Thai who will knock your socks off. Authentic menu, easy to navigate. Everything is so complicated that it can be shared. The food came quickly and was super tasty. The meat was tender and the Pad Thai was very tasty. Finally we had the Mango Sticky Rice - which was of course the cherry on the cake. Of course we’d love to come back! 👏🏼

New favourite Thai spot! Authentic flavours, friendly staff, average prices. The atmosphere is relaxed and honest, this is not a hipster restaurant. The prawn Pad Thai was so good with big juicy prawns. Highly recommend

EDIT: I’m ordering from this venue at least once a week or more through Wolt. Their packaging is always faulty and I’m constantly having issues with curry or soups leaking because the bottom of the tub breaks or similar. Im not sure what changed but it never was the case a couple of months ago. Also, the quantity of food is getting smaller and smaller. Bami, get a grip. You’re not cheap and you have to do better. You lost a loyal customer. Never ever again. — I ordered through a delivery app and I can’t wait to visit in person. It looks such a lovable and cute place. Pad Thai was a 10/10, Phat kaphrao was also good and not as spicy as I expected. Would love to have an egg on top though. Shame they messed up my Tom kha — I ordered it with shrimps but it came with chicken. It was nevertheless super tasty.

I am from somewhere in Asia, and travelled many times to Thailand for vacations when I was living in Asia. There were also a lot of authentic good Thai restaurants in my home town. I love Thai food. The chicken rice dish Khao Man Gai has been one of my favorite thai dish. I have been missing it a lot since I moved to Germany. I finally found it here! It tastes super. I was almost crying. The sauce and the soup are the soul and they were great besides the rice and chicken. The Thai milk tea was ok. The sauces they served even before we ordered our food reminded me of Bangkok. It’s authentic, no doubt. And it reminds me of home although I am not from Thailand. I will definitely try out more dishes there!

Our expectations were very high because of the good reviews, but unfortunately we didn't think the price performance was that good. The dishes are quite expensive and very manageable. In terms of taste, we found it to be just okay.

Small and somewhat hidden place close to Ostkreuz but with magnificent food. The Pad Thai here is totally recommended. The ingredients are fresh and the dish is well prepared. This is a small but very cozy, authentic cafe with very tasty national cuisine. The soup we ordered was really very good. I was very pleased that the waitress asked about the spiciness of the dish. The food was prepared according to our taste.

I had the vegan green curry with rice, and it was really good. The service was also friendly, and the food came out really fast. They have a lot of dishes with vegan customisations which is appreciated a lot! Some dishes are particularly non-vegetarian but that’s alright coz they’re clearly marked. Even the dishes with egg are marked - another reason to appreciate the menu!

We were positively surprised, a small, fine Thai restaurant with very good service and a very good selection of tasty Thai dishes. 👍

Mmmmm yummy!! Reminds me of being in Thailand 🤍 fresh, balancing flavors are dancing around my mouth. I ordered the Laab Gai, the only thing that was missing was the mint. Please don’t serve this without next time, it’s one of the best parts!! Price is on the more expensive side, but it’s worth it. They have a nice lunch special where you get an entree and soup for 15€

I came to this restaurant because of the absolutely good reviews and I have to honestly say that I was totally disappointed by the food. It is never original Thai. Unfortunately there was no good seasoning let alone herbs or fresh vegetables in the Phad Thai. A real shame. The service was great and friendly and the restaurant was also clean and okay. But wow, I don't understand the reviews.

Very tasty and authentic food. Big amount of food. Lunch means was 15.9 euro including soup. Would be nice if there was a cheaper option. I especially liked the Thai milk tea without the usual artificial coloring. Payment only allowed by card above 15 euro. I would appreciate if we were presented with invoice when paying.

Authentic Thai food. The spice level is set for the local taste buds; if you want your food spicy, you must notify them. The ambience feels closer to home. Overall, it was delicious food.

Wir wollten für eine Familienfeier am 25.12.23 ein Lokal mieten und der Besitzer hat extra für uns geöffnet. Das Essen war lecker, authentisch und reichhaltig. Wir hatten diverse Vorspeisen, unterschiedliche Currys und Thai Crepe, alles empfehlenswert! My favourite - Pad Thai.

Also ich war positiv beeindruckt. Von außen unscheinbar, ist das ein echter Geheimtipp. Wir hatten ein Buffet für 10 Menschen, alles vegan alles extrem lecker. Bedienung auch super nett.

Wirklich authentisch thailändische Küche. Wir haben den Tipp von einem Bekannten bekommen und hatten richtig Spaß ( wenn es so gut und interessant schmeckt das unwillkürlich ein Lächeln aufkommt) beim Essen. Preislich bekommen sie in vielen anderen Restaurants für den selben Preis deutlich weniger an essensqualität und Freundlichkeit. Die Bedienung und Inhaber Chai waren sehr freundlich, wir kommen wieder

Wer einmal im Bami789 gegessen hat, kann eigentlich nicht anders, als so bald wie möglich wieder zu kommen! Das Essen schmeckt unglaublich gut, Inhaber und Personal sind sehr freundlich, wir hatten sehr viel Spaß! Für Vegetarier gibts ebenfalls eine breite Auswahl. Empfehle auch, sich bei den Getränken durchzuprobieren, es lohnt sich. Einen besseren Papayasalat als hier, hab ich noch nirgends gegessen!

Ich bin als Gast gekommen und als Freund gegangen. Jetzt drei Wochen dienstlich in Berlin, dreimal im Bami789 gewesen. Es gibt kein Restaurant wo man authentischeres essen gibt aus Thailand, wie hier. Bei meinen nächsten besuchen in Berlin, werde ich immer wieder kommen. Macht weiter so, es schmeckt perfekt!

Es hat geschmeckt wie in Thailand! Sehr sehr lecker. Besonders gut fanden wir die Spezialsuppe und den Papaya Salat :) Der Service war ebenfalls klasse.
