Bambus Garden in Hannover

I was at Bambus Garden today and I can only say: simply fantastic! Even the greeting was exceptionally friendly and warm. The waiter who served me was excellent, extremely attentive, and consistently professional – exactly the kind of service you want! The value for money is truly impressive: large portions, delicious food, and everything freshly prepared. Add to that a very beautiful and well-maintained restaurant, lovingly decorated tables, a pleasant atmosphere, and consistently well-dressed and polished staff. You can immediately tell that quality and hospitality are highly valued here. After a long time, I finally had a truly great restaurant experience again. I can wholeheartedly recommend Bambus Garden and will definitely return on my next visit to Hanover.

Delicious food! It seemed to contain very little MSG, and the sauces were wonderfully smooth. The meat was of excellent quality – a thoroughly enjoyable lunch!

The food was, as always, excellent. Since the restaurant was very full, the service team was under a lot of pressure. Unfortunately, we received our first dish some time before the other two, and even before the plates and cutlery arrived. As there were three of us and we only received one portion of rice, we needed another relatively quickly. We would have appreciated it if the server had checked on us instead of us having to get up and ask ourselves. Otherwise, the service team was extremely friendly.

I was there for the first time today and will definitely be back. The ambiance is very pretty and chic, the staff was truly the friendliest I've encountered in a long time (thank you again!), and the food was delicious. The duck was absolutely scrumptious. If you can't finish everything, they pack the rest in a box for you, which I thought was very thoughtful. It was a bit noisy at times due to the number of guests, which made it a little difficult to hear the person opposite you. I also found the drink prices a bit high, but oh well. All in all, I felt very comfortable.

The waiter was very friendly. The restaurant is not typically Chinese and has wood furnishings. Instead, there is a lot of glass and metal (modern), which made it very loud and impossible to have a normal conversation. We had several starters. Spicy soup 🍜 was good, but the curry soup was too thin for us and didn't taste of curry, it was just spicy 🌶️ in the finish. Spring rolls and satay were delicious 😋. For main courses, we had fried noodles with chicken and sweet and sour beef. It's a matter of taste, but we don't like it when meat is artificially softened with sodium! The meat had a strange aftertaste. And I had two pieces that were gristly, which indicates that it wasn't a steak/pan-fried. And besides, why do they do it at all??? With decent beef, you don't need to soften it. And with chicken breast, you don't need to soften it either! If it's pan-fried in a typical Chinese way, that's how I would cook it, or use thigh meat, it never gets dry.

We went there with seven people after a meeting. Seven different dishes, all really good! The portions are very generous. I highly recommend it!

I went there with my colleagues after a strenuous day at the trade fair. The food was super fresh and delicious. The menu had something for everyone: meat, fish, and tofu. The wine recommendation was excellent. 👍 Everything was perfect. I'll be back next year! My colleague even said: "It's because of this restaurant that he'll be back next year."

We visited Bambus Garden for the first time today. I had reserved a table online and mentioned in the comments that we wanted Peking duck. My slight doubts about whether that would work were dispelled immediately upon arrival. We received a friendly welcome, and the table was set for us. The duck was delicious in all courses. Of particular note, however, was the excellent service – friendly, prompt, courteous, and everything was explained. The five stars are more than deserved! We certainly won't be here for the last time!

A truly wonderful restaurant with a great atmosphere. We had the Peking duck (important: order one day in advance). It was truly delicious. The food is high quality and served hot. It's also very good value for money. The service was courteous and attentive! We were very impressed with our visit and can only recommend it! There is parking and good public transport connections.

I've finally found a Chinese restaurant that apparently doesn't mix MSG/E-621 into its food to achieve the fifth taste, umami. There was no thirst quenching from excessive salt or individual ingredients. The flambéed banana is very good! The service was professional, friendly, attentive, and fast. The ambiance and lighting were pleasant. I recommend it!

We ate here for the first time yesterday, but we'll definitely be back. For us, this is by far the best Chinese food in Hanover. We had three different starters, all of which were excellent. The flambéed duck for the main course was perfect. Crispy, without much fat, and as tender as butter. The sauce was a dream. Absolutely great service. Definitely recommend it!

Lunch: The food was excellent, service was good, and the value for money was good. The dishes on the dinner menu seem to be reaching a certain limit.

The food was good, but unfortunately the service was not at all today. Requests regarding spiciness were ignored, with the cheap sugar-and-vinegar sambal oelek being the only option. The table was made smaller and was subsequently so small that rice and sauces, glasses, and bottles had to be placed on the windowsill, lap, or floor. Unfortunately, it was very noisy due to the large amount of glass and hard surfaces in the building's design. I probably won't be coming back – a shame, because the taste was already VERY good for the most part.

Nice restaurant, we came back after years. But now the prices are very high and it's just a bit of a local. Only some of the decor and the dishes have changed. Service isn't very friendly, and the food is only average. There are much better Asian restaurants in and around Hanover.

Too much MSG in the soup, and our dishes were overly sweet. It's a shame, it used to be tastier.

Everything is good. The food is excellent. But the prices! For many main courses, you have to pay extra for the sauce. That means €14 for the meal plus €5 for the sauce. And that was already among the very reasonable prices. I find at least €6 for 0.15 liters of wine a bit steep. Charging €3.50 for 0.25 liters of water is cheeky. That will probably be my last visit to Bambus Garden. Other Chinese restaurants also cook well, but for less money. The service really deserves 5 stars, but unfortunately, anyone who wants to take their leftovers home has to buy a plastic box for €1 and fill it themselves. Others can do that better.

The restaurant feels cozy, but surprisingly, its decor isn't typically "Chinese" (no Chinese decor, no dragons, no fountains, no aquarium, etc.!)! It's very modern. The "winter garden" is beautiful with its large glass panes (glass doors that slide open on hinges). The two head waiters and one head waitress are all very friendly, nice, and accommodating, but they're not Chinese either (they're all of other nationalities). The food is truly plentiful and very, very tasty, highly recommended, but also very expensive!!! There's no buffet here, like you'd usually find at a Chinese restaurant!!! We were there as a couple on our wedding anniversary at 6:10 p.m. It was still manageable and quiet, with only about 10 people in total. But from 7:15 p.m. onwards, it got quite crowded and loud! You can also sit outside (under a roof). However, a table reservation is highly recommended (because some guests arrived without reservations and then had to wait a bit for available seats starting around 7:30 p.m.). But all in all, good and recommendable, 4 out of 5 stars!

Very pretty, restaurant! My friend introduced the place to me and we ordered for a takeaway 🥡 The server was very nice over the phone and the pick up was easy! We ordered the battered chicken with sweet and sour sauce on the side and the plain chicken with the kung pao sauce. Both come with plain rice 🍚 and the meal is VERY filling!

Bambus Garden is one of our favorite restaurants in Hanover. It offers excellent value for money for lunch. Unfortunately, it's very noisy when it's full, as the ceiling and floor don't absorb sound. We're curious to see if the expansion will improve this place.

We spontaneously visited Bambus Garden for the first time on a Saturday evening. Even the phone call to check if a table was available was a complete success – very friendly and accommodating. When we arrived at the restaurant, we were absolutely thrilled with the welcome and the service staff. The tables around us all ordered a set menu or the Peking duck. The service staff explained everything in great detail, competently, and with respect. Our food was absolutely delicious, and even though all the tables were occupied, we didn't have to wait more than 20 minutes. It was a truly lovely evening, and we've found our new favorite Chinese restaurant. Bambus Garden – keep up the good work!

We received a friendly welcome and were shown to our table. Our questions about the culinary journey were answered in detail, and we had plenty of time to choose. The food was so delicious and plentiful that we couldn't finish it all. It was a wonderful evening, and we highly recommend Bambus Garden.

What's also particularly worth mentioning here is the impeccable service! The team works together brilliantly! No waiting for drinks, and the glasses are turned to the guest with the logo on them ;-) where do you still get that these days?! The ambiance outside is great despite the direct road access. Went to Bambus Garden in Hannover-Kirchrode with a group of over eight people. The service was very attentive and friendly – you can really tell they've had a lot of experience working with guests. The cuisine is "old-school Chinese" in the best sense: crispy duck, deep-fried chicken, large portions, and classic preparation, just like in the 90s – only with sophisticated service. Any uneaten food will be packed up upon request. A firm favorite in Kirchrode for anyone who enjoys this style. I'd be happy to come back.

Everything was absolutely delicious. It certainly won't be the last time we're there. The menu is also very well structured. You can order using a modular system: the meat and then the corresponding sauces. There are also pre-made dishes. I highly recommend this restaurant because everything was just perfect.

We were at the Bamboo Garden this evening and had pre-ordered Peking duck. I've eaten a lot of Peking duck, but this was by far the best I've ever had. The service at this restaurant is outstanding. Professional, friendly, helpful, and completely customer-focused. The value for money is also very good. We will definitely be regular customers. I can recommend it to everyone without exception.

Unfortunately, I wouldn't recommend it, especially not at lunchtime on weekends. After some difficulties with booking, the entire restaurant was packed, all tables occupied, and at least 5-7 people were waiting at the entrance for a table, some for over 30 minutes. Very poor organization, the staff completely overwhelmed, and the waiting guests were annoyed. We had to wait an hour for our food, after which the meat was very tough and gristly. You can only feel sorry for the staff; the noise level was so loud that you could hardly hear each other, and you only noticed the music two hours after you arrived, when the place had started to get a bit emptier, and the tables kept changing after you'd finished eating. This is not an atmosphere for a relaxed lunch with the family.

Unfortunately, we were extremely disappointed today. We've actually been going to the Bambus Garden in Kirchrode for almost 20 years. However, that era has unfortunately come to an end today. I understand that these days, a good occupancy rate is needed in the restaurant industry to operate profitably. But sometimes less is more. Since the new owner, the Bambus Garden has set higher standards for its external image, which is a good thing. However, when it comes to table occupancy, you have to say that less is more. It was so full today that it was not only unpleasantly loud, but also pushed the otherwise great team beyond their limits. As a result, the service simply didn't function as it should. Some tables were occupied by multiple people, and several people were waiting in the lobby for free tables. We won't be going to the Bambus Garden again in the future. After all, a restaurant visit isn't just about the food. The ambiance, the service, and the company of others are at least as important. Perhaps we should reconsider...
