Everything was great at BamBoo: good atmosphere, delicious food and cold drinks.

Very satisfied, just a shame that dogs aren't allowed inside...

The look and ambiance were truly top-notch. The food was the worst I've ever eaten. The burger meat was cheap and squeaked when chewed, the bread was impossible to cut and dry. I don't know what the other dishes are like, but I can't recommend the burgers.

The ambiance deserves praise: It's very attractively designed, both inside and out. Ordering with the app is innovative but could be improved. First, my wife's iPhone displayed errors while placing the order, but the order was still sent. On my Android, the order worked perfectly. Furthermore, you're supposed to tip in advance when paying, even though you haven't experienced the service yet and can therefore rate it. Our meal was very greasy and therefore not very healthy. Since the waitress only brought the food to the table quickly and otherwise offered virtually no advice or interaction, we had a neutral impression of the service.

We visited Bamboo over the weekend. Both the alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks were well-prepared and cold. We ordered the bread with aioli for starters, and for main courses, pizza tonno and grilled chicken with potatoes. The bread and dips were delicious and fresh. My chicken was also really well-seasoned, succulently cooked, and the potatoes were a great side dish. I think it's great that ketchup and mayo are available free of charge. Unfortunately, my husband's pizza was more like a well-reheated frozen pizza. We had hoped for more. Unfortunately, there was a small problem with our drinks order, which meant they didn't arrive at the right table. When we mentioned this at the bar, the staff were very accommodating and friendly and reordered. So, here's a 👍 For our taste, the ambiance itself was great, but the adjacent main street, which offers a clear view and a clear ear, was unfortunately a nuisance at times.

Unfortunately disappointed. At first, I found this concept very impersonal. The staff member then brought us our drinks without even a greeting. My drink was served in a bottle with a straw. I then asked for a glass, and the server was very irritated. The appetizer was served after the main course, which I've never experienced before. The main course, a rump steak with potatoes and vegetables, was absolutely flavorless; the plate was over-stuffed with potatoes, the vegetables were bland, and the meat was a "zero." Very impersonal, unfriendly; we won't be returning.

I had lunch at Bamboo in Ahaus yesterday; it was really cool! The whole restaurant is designed like a small jungle, with a lot of attention to detail. It almost feels like you're sitting in the middle of the jungle, only with better food 😄 I had the spare ribs, super tender, nicely seasoned, and the marinade was incredibly delicious. The portion was generous; you definitely won't leave hungry. The service was also top-notch: friendly, fast, and in a good mood. I'll definitely be back; next time I'll explore the rest of the menu!

Also nochmal betrete ich diesen Laden nicht, waren eine kleinere Gruppe wollten essen bestellen ab 20.30 Uhr Küche geschlossen. Als nachgefragt wurde kam von einer Blonden angestellten nur „Feierabend“. Kundenfreundlichkeit müsste man denen auch noch beibringen ist wohl ein Fremdwort. Kein Hallo kein anlächeln, das zwischenmenschliche Fehlt einfach. Den geht es wohl zu gut dort.

A charming place to sit. They've decorated it very nicely. The menu is limited. Not many options. Not many drink options either. And absolutely no name brands. You have to pay online immediately. This is fine, but complicated because it's not possible with iDEAL. Also, the menu is only available in German. A shame.

Ate at Bamboo again today. Salami pizza! It was like a day on vacation at the sandy beach. This place is a must-see. Simply fantastic!!!

Great ambience, great music, great service

No, definitely not. We've been waiting for our food for almost two hours now, and an hour ago we were put off with a standard chat message. Then, of the four burgers, two had raw patties, one had gristly patties, and the fourth was tough and dry.

I haven't been to BamBoo in years, and I have to say the quality of the food was abysmal. The two stars are for the great ambiance and the fact that we were given meadows. We once had bruschetta that tasted like it had been made at 10 a.m., left cold, and served in the evening. The kids' burger was topped with tomato, cucumber, and hamburger sauce, and a patty that was overcooked. The bacon burger was so hard on the bun that you couldn't even cut the underside. Actually, all of these were dishes that an intern could have done better. In conclusion: Great ambiance. The food was an absolute disaster. Value for money 👎🏻

Der Empfang war am Anfang nicht da, und wir waren sehr verwirrt wegen der QR-Codes an den Tischen. Haben dann von selbst erfahren, dass man damit bestellt – haben wir getan. Wollten dann bestellen, also mit Karten, und dies war dann nicht mehr möglich, weil man irgendwas einstellen musste. Bin dann zu einer Servicekraft gegangen, um nach Hilfe zu fragen. Sie hat mir das erklärt, dass ich mein Geld auf eine App aufladen muss, was wiederum an einem Gerät ganz vorne an der Tür gemacht wird. Also wir wieder zurück und aufgeladen. Dann haben wir bestellt. Die alte Bestellung von uns war noch drin, und dann hat alles funktioniert. Für die App ist auch WLAN gestatet. Wir haben Nachos, Salsa-Dip, 2 Limonaden, Pizza, Chicken-Burger, Kokos-Eis und einen Sweet Choc. Das Mittagessen war okay, und das Dessert war so lecker, dass meine Begleitperson sogar mich anlügen musste, dass der Sweet Choc eklig ist, sodass ich nicht probieren möchte! Die Atmosphäre war sehr angenehm sodass man die zeit sogar vergisst. Wir wurden in Ruhe gelassen. Wenn wir was bestellt haben, wurde das Essen sehr schnell gebracht. Man musste nicht lange warten, und die Bänke draußen waren sehr angenehm. Wir haben uns auch zu diesen Sitzsäcken hingesetzt bei dem Sand, und da war es einfach nur perfekt mit der Sonne. Insgesamt haben wir 70 Euro gezahlt. Die Öffnungszeiten sind auch sehr perfekt, weil man sich nicht gedrängt fühlt, nach Hause zu gehen, und wirklich die Zeit mit seinen Freunden dort genießen kann. Fazit Ein sehr gutes Restaurant um lange mit seinen freunden zu plaudern/... wenn man viel zeit hat. Aber ein groser Punkt ist das man sich mit handys auskennen muss und die QR-Codes versteht. Wenn man das versteht ist das resturant perfekt bis wiederum das essen was okay war auser die desers.😁

I wanted to organize a small party at Bamboo – 8-9 people, outside, with a cake. Instead of a friendly response, I received a curt message with no concessions whatsoever: I should simply book two tables online, cake wasn't allowed – that was it. No "we'll see," no suggestion, no interest. That's not how you treat guests who plan well in advance and inquire politely. It was simply disappointing and unprofessional. I'm planning elsewhere now – somewhere that still values ​​customers.

We ordered the meat well done, but the first time it was served medium. After we complained, the plate was cleared, and the meat was brought again, but also medium, not well done. By the way: That cost me €27.50.

May 21, 2020: Delicious food (pizza, burgers, fries) and drinks. The wait time for the food was short. Family-friendly (sand outside, climbing plane). It's a great place to go with kids. Order and pay via the app (PayPal, credit card, Apple Pay, etc.). So no waiting for the waitress/waiter. No waiting for the server if you want to order something again. After eating, just get up and leave because you've already paid. Table reservations are also possible from home. Great. I have little sympathy for reviews that criticize this. This is the restaurant of a software company that tests its products! If you don't like that, it's not the right place for you. But that doesn't mean Bamboo is bad.

I've been to this restaurant several times. Last time, I ordered a medium steak, but received a rare steak. After I reported it, they recooked it—unfortunately, so much so that it was almost burnt. Furthermore, the staff was very unfriendly: no smile, no greeting, or farewell, even when making direct eye contact. Overall, I'm very disappointed with this visit.

The BamBoo in Ahaus is a real highlight for us - we go there once a month on Sundays at 12 p.m. The restaurant offers a unique jungle feeling with many loving details. It's an experience especially for children: You can use the app to trigger great effects such as a thunderstorm or the Range Rover in the middle of the restaurant - it's exciting every time! Ordering via the app works smoothly, the prices are fair, and the food is fresh and delicious. The music is very pleasant and it is always nice and warm - which also contributes to the feel-good atmosphere. The staff is always friendly and helpful. There is plenty of parking space - either at Tobit Software or directly behind the Bamboo. The outdoor area is particularly beautiful in summer, with seating, sand to play in, a play boat and a real helicopter with a rotor blade that spins when it's open. An all-round successful experience for the whole family – absolute recommendation!

Danger! Dogs are not welcome here. Assuming that dogs are allowed, I went there with my dog. We were turned away at the door. I wouldn't go there again, even without a dog.

When I asked, every employee said something different: 'I didn't even know that table number existed', 'We don't have enough employees', but there are like 10 employees walking around, what do you mean? We were there for the first time. At the entrance it is pointed out that ordering and payment are made via the app. The drinks came quickly. The meal took quite some time. I ordered 3 types of snacks: wedges, chicken nuggets and wings. All 3 varieties were evenly present in the picture. I got 4 wings, 4 mini nuggets and everything buried under plenty of wedges. All frozen goods and moderately tasty. My companion's burger was good. Overall, the evening was nice, but not the special experience we were hoping for. Especially since we were told before 9 p.m. that it would be closing soon, even though according to Google it should be open until 10 p.m.

Unfortunately my visit to Bamboo in Ahaus was disappointing. We ordered a table for 8 people online. When we arrived we asked where our table was and the lady said she couldn't tell me, I had to check my booking. The service was entirely via cell phone and left a lot to be desired. The first drinks arrived about 45 minutes after ordering. Unfortunately, none of our order arrived at the table at the same time. The food came before the drinks and not only was the pizza cold, but so were the burgers. We drove straight after dinner and looked for another restaurant. I cannot recommend this restaurant.

Disappointing visit - long waiting times, cold food and inflexible payment We were at BamBoo in Ahaus with a group of eight people and were looking forward to a lovely afternoon with good food. Unfortunately our expectations were not met. Right from the start we noticed that the service was very slow. Although the restaurant wasn't overly busy, we had to wait an unusually long time for our drinks. When our food finally came, it wasn't even really warm. This shouldn't happen, especially with freshly prepared food. This significantly affected the enjoyment. Another big problem is payment. The restaurant relies exclusively on online payment, which wouldn't be a problem in principle - if it worked smoothly. But once difficulties arise, there is no alternative solution. “Offline” payment, for example by card or in cash, is not offered. This is not only inconvenient, but extremely annoying for guests struggling with technical issues. In addition, we find it questionable that criticism can only be submitted online. It would be desirable if the restaurant were more open to direct feedback instead of only allowing complaints through a digital platform. Unfortunately, this leaves the impression that they don't really care about the guests' satisfaction. All in all our visit was disappointing. Unfortunately, the combination of long waiting times, food that wasn't warm and the inflexible method of payment didn't convince us. We had hoped for much more and unfortunately we cannot recommend the BamBoo in Ahaus.

APP: The actual app/website is far too confusing for ordering. Dishes aren't displayed correctly, information is missing, or drinks can't be ordered at all. It worked the second time. And no, I'm not 60, but in my mid-30s, and I think older people in particular could have significant problems here. So why not provide tablets with pre-installed software, like many restaurants do, instead of having to register for them all the time and everywhere? Unfortunately, this was our first and last visit, at least when it comes to eating out.

The translation is in English and Ukrainian, but not in Croatian, which is the same in the European Union! I hope you will work on it, because after all it is a software company (Tobit) that deals with it.

The ambience and the interactive interaction options are really great. It's often a shame with themed restaurants that they end in the toilet, which was unfortunately the case here. Unfortunately the food was just mediocre. The steak was gristly and the pepper sauce was from the discount store. Unfortunately, the steak wasn’t really “rare” either. The sweet potato fries and the brownie with ice cream for dessert were very good though.

We have now dared to meet again. The ordering system put us off for a long time. But you have to move with the times. After we asked the service person at the entrance for a table and were rudely told off that if we found a table that wasn't reserved we could sit down, we found all the tables with reservations. Everyone with notes on the table telling them when they are reserved. Hmmm, pieces of paper on the table in such a digital restaurant? You could do it better and work more lucratively. We were there at 6 p.m., all tables had already been reserved for 7 or 8 p.m. Orders, drinks and food came relatively quickly. The staff was nice too. Our daughter thinks it's great. Food was okay. We'll come back again, but make a reservation in advance.

Three out of six dishes were missing ingredients that were on the menu. My hamburger wasn't tasty, there was just mayonnaise on it that wasn't tasty. Always different waiters, but you should enter your tip amount beforehand, but you can only do that afterwards. Chairs completely uncomfortable. We won't go there again with our regular table, it took a long time until the table was cleared, bad service. Too bad!!!

The store looks very good and is clean. The food was OK, but was better on previous visits. At the end we ordered cocktails, which were unfortunately very expensive and of unsatisfactory quality. We returned the cocktails and received new ones, which were also disappointing. On the third attempt I saw that our cocktails were being mixed by a group of teenagers who appeared to be untrained. Selling such a poor product for €10 is unfortunate. In my opinion the food seems to have come from the freezer and the drinks don't warrant another visit. LG.

Ordered a teriyaki beef salad that had absolutely nothing in common with a Japanese salad, drink service and ambience okay.

It's a very nice restaurant but that's where it ends for me. You have to order via mobile phone and then pay immediately via PayPal or card. You only have contact with staff if you bring drinks or food. This may be the future of gastronomy but I prefer the contact and conversation with the employees.

Every time I order a hot drink it's only lukewarm and after 1-3 minutes it's completely cold. I had complained before but nothing came of it. And my tea bag from yesterday didn't even warm up, I just drank water.

Funny theme and beautiful restaurant, the food and drinks are satisfactory but the service is VERY BAD. TERRIBLE. The girls who work there don't want to help. We asked if they spoke English or Dutch to ask about the menu and they said no and simply turned away. For those who like to be treated normally, I DO NOT RECOMMEND ANYTHING. A LACK OF EDUCATION AND RESPECT.

The drinks were okay, but we've really never had such a bad meal. Nobody came and asked if everything was okay. Zero service. My wife's salad was already brown around the edges, our daughter's pizza was probably a ready-made pizza from Aldi and my incredibly bad burger gave me a really sudden diarrhea. I sat on the toilet all night. We will NEVER go there again. Let's see how long this recession lasts.

Stay away from the burgers! It doesn't get much worse. But for a cozy evening with just drinks, Bamboo is fine. If I could give Bamboo two ratings, it would rate better as a drinks-only bar. But unfortunately it is also a restaurant. After being disappointed with the food there a few years ago, I unfortunately followed peer pressure and ordered a burger. But I didn't remember it being as catastrophic as it was in the end. Everything about the burger was bad. The bun was dry. The patty was just incredibly tough, tasteless and relatively small. Additionally, the sauces were very sparse on the burger, making it probably the driest burger I've ever eaten. You had to make an effort to cut through it. The result was the same for my colleagues and everyone was extremely dissatisfied and believed that it was the worst burger they had ever eaten. For the relatively high price, it's just an absolute disgrace. The sweet potato fries were ok, but there was no dip with them. The service was sometimes quite quick with the orders. But it also took an hour until the dishes were cleared away. The ambience in Bamboo itself is quite successful and cozy. The only thing that is a bit annoying is the proximity to the main road when people deliberately go full throttle again. @Tobit: The visit was on August 9th.

For such a nice restaurant, the service is super bad and unfriendly, the chef smokes his e-cigarette in the restaurant and the kitchen, it's impossible to imagine how the food is prepared. My burger was sticky and inedible. My friend's dish, the steak is outrageous for its price. The vegetables and potatoes looked unappetizing, and they were! I pointed this out to the waitress, she didn't apologize or tell me to pass it on to the chef, instead it was cleared away without comment. I don't come here anymore to eat.

My food arrived 40 minutes after I ordered it

Was in Bamboo today and was simply forgotten. It wasn't very busy and I waited 15-20 minutes for my spare ribs until I asked the chef at the front if I should take my now lukewarm plate with me to the table (sat at table 34 with a view of both counters). To which he replied "yes, I don't know where the service staff is either" Afterwards I ate the lukewarm dish and when I was eating the last fries the service lady came around the corner looking puzzled. Probably wondered how the plate got to me. Would have preferred a new hot dish. Unfortunately there was no staff there. Service like that doesn't work at all.

Children had great fun outside and the food and drinks came quickly. Unfortunately, the staff was very taciturn and could have come across as friendlier.

It's a shame that such a great shop can't serve the menu when there are a lot of customers. I thought the catering system was better positioned. We drove an extra 70 km to eat a hamburger and not a steak. The 100% digital thing isn't intended for all ages either. Well we at least had a good waiter who relaxed the situation (Nexaat) I hope that's spelled correctly.😁 Maybe we'll come in again but not to eat, I think.

The sweet potato fries were also delicious. The service is quick. In times of staff shortages etc., such an online system is innovative. Even if the ordering times at the table vary individually, the food arrives at the same time. I still find the human contact when ordering more personal. Anyone who needs help will get it. We have seen this today, especially in older people.

Service is virtually non-existent because everything runs via an app that only partially works. The ambience itself is very nice, but it is on a main street, so you have to be aware of that.

An sich eine sehr schöne Location und nettes Personal. Bestellen und bezahlen kann man leider nur mit dem Handy, etwas schwierig weil die Seite oft geharkt hat aber ok. Die Seite zum bestellen ist sehr überischtlich, damit sollte jeder gut zurecht kommen. Ich habe einen Summerburger mit Pommes gegessen. Die Portion hat ein gute Größe. Leider stand in der Karte nicht, dass der Summerburger ein kalter Burger ist. Ich hatte mich auf warmes Abendessen eingestellt. Sowas sollte man unbedingt dazu schreiben, das war sehr enttäuschend.

Nette Lokation die wir gerne getestet hätten, da alles nur online geht sind wir nur bis zur Essensbestellung vorgedrungen. Weil die Bezahlung nur mit Handy oder Paypal, nicht aber mit EC Karte möglich war, haben wir das Lokal wieder verlassen. Ich finde es unmöglich das selbst keine Kartenzahlung möglich ist. Das ist Diskreminierend!

A cool place, but more for young people. An app is required to place the order or pay the bill. However, we were greeted very friendly in the entrance area and informed about the local procedures Finally a fun evening

The portions of drinks and food are a joke.. Caesar salad, 15€ and there are 3 leaves of lettuce, 150g chicken in a flat noodle plate, HALF a cherry tomato, which was also bad, coffee only half full, really a joke honest. It's better to go to a real restaurant, it's worth your money.

Absolutely cool restaurant! A great location. Everything is regulated via chayns, the reservation, the order and the billing. The staff is very friendly and quick! And the food is simply delicious! Only recommended!!!

There were three of us. Food: 2 citizens (one with, one without meat) with fries, a BamBoo prime steak (25, 50€!) with pepper sauce, potatoes and vegetables. The burgers were very good, but not very big. My fries were good, the other fries were cold and sticky. The steak was ordered medium but came raw. The pepper sauce may be a matter of taste, we didn't think it was that great. Vegetables and potatoes were good. We pointed out to the staff that the meat was not OK. The plate went back into the kitchen. Then a great portion came back. Very nicely prepared, the meat was well done but tasted very good. We each got a free drink and were asked several times whether it was okay.

Lovingly furnished, great location. Unfortunately the staff was a bit unfriendly. We were left out in the cold at the beginning with reference to the app. Then it was turned on because someone's children were probably playing somewhere they weren't allowed to go - and we just happened to be sitting nearby and were therefore automatically classified as parents. When ordering, the starter was forgotten and only served as dessert when asked and shown the receipt from the app (which was difficult to find!). The first waitress didn't seem to really want to be around people, and when we asked if we could turn on the fireplace outside, we were told it wasn't in use yet - but three more were turned on over the course of the evening. The food... My wife and I had burgers and they were "okay". But not much more. Patty frozen goods with little taste, too small compared to the bun and drowned in ready-made sauces. Price/performance just within the framework. Customization options in the app would also be great here (e.g. “without quote x”)

Very nice staff, delicious food. Atmosphere was very relaxing and nicely done with the QR code system when ordering.

Customers stay away, you can't pay with money, everything with a bar code, we left, too bad, mart and miep from Holland

Very nice self-service concept with a nice ambiance. The facilities are clean and the food is fresh. I would recommend just chilling out

Super nice service!!! I've been a guest here for years, but the food is getting smaller and smaller and the price is slowly rising, and there's hardly any alcohol in the alcoholic drinks anymore... which no longer justifies the high price. It's a real shame when it was always so beautiful here!

This is my first time here and my last time No cash payment possible, totally cumbersome ordering system via QR code. Why don't you just leave it as it has always worked that a waiter takes the order and is also allowed to collect the money?
