Balkan in Goch

Unfortunately, the waitress we had to pay to wasn't the nicest (you can't be in the same good mood all day long). I found it a bit strange that one waiter only served and the other only took cash. But that's probably the case with them. But that shouldn't be the case. My companion and I really enjoyed the food, the portions were just right and otherwise the rest was good too. Attentive waiter. We'd love to come back.

The restaurant is located directly on the market. Paid parking spaces are nearby; free from 6:00 p.m. I like to visit the restaurant again and again. The food is very good, it is inexpensive and the atmosphere is cozy. The owner couple takes personal care of their guests. Free WiFi can be used. Highly recommended, you should make a reservation for the evening.

Today September 15, 2024 we ate a delicious Snitzel Hawaij. Very friendly service, I would definitely recommend everyone to eat here. I regularly went to El Toro in Kranenburg, but this restaurant is 100% better.

I ordered a table for the evening at lunchtime and the reservation was confirmed by the staff. When we got there in the evening there was no table available and they said there was no reservation. I showed my phone history, which clearly showed that I had called there, and the waiter said, even though there were now free tables, that we should leave.

Vriendelijke bediening en lekker gegeten voor een goede prijs. Mooie locatie aan het plein en verder is er een saladebar beschikbaar die er erg goed en verzorgd uitzag.

My wife and I visited this restaurant for the first time and we will certainly do so again... delicious food! Here, quality and quantity are beautifully balanced at an affordable price! The salad bar alone is worth a recommendation: lots of choice and all nice and fresh. Neat restaurant with clean sanitary facilities and a very friendly owner as well as the staff. Good service.

Neat restaurant with very friendly staff. Mittagstisch is good, with free soup and raw vegetables (serve yourself). Choose from a lot of hot food, all on 1 plate. Pepper sauce very spicy and salty. Plate of salmon with boiled potatoes is without vegetables. (Pity) Expensive for the price of €19.90. Potatoes have little taste.

The food was average, tasty, I ate much better in another Balkan restaurant. The service was so-so. The waitress was not very nice, she was not interested in the customer. The waitress acted as if she was doing a favor by serving people. I probably won't visit there again

No "haute quisine", but I had a very tasty meal, crispy fried beef liver, with fried potatoes and lots of onions. Starter soup and salad bar. Everything from our own kitchen. The tiramisu was divine, the service friendly and attentive, ample parking. And all for a very reasonable price.

Nice location in the middle of Goch, where German cuisine and Balkan dishes meet. I had a nice meal there, something different from what you normally find on a menu. I didn't have to wait really long, because after closing the menu, the order was made quickly. Enough food and drinks for a normal price. I did find the seating niche a bit inconvenient when you want to walk to the salad bar or toilet. It did block the fresh wind from an open front door. Furthermore, there is a lot of light, which doesn't really look romantic to me. Aren't you a romantic? Then I would quickly call and make a reservation!

Worst grilled dish I've ever eaten. The meat was not seasoned at all and very fatty. The rice was a joke. The waitress ignored us for 20 minutes.

I ate the pirate skewer today and was pleasantly surprised, the meat was very tender and juicy and the bacon was tender and tasty. Fresh salad to prepare yourself from the salad buffet. The service was very friendly and attentive. Restaurant clean and bright ambience, overall worth a visit.

There were five of us in this restaurant and we ordered five meals. 2x Mixed Grill, 2x Raznjici and 1x California pork fillet. When the food came, I was on the toilet and then returned to the table to find that my food was missing (Mixed Grill) After about 2 minutes I asked the boss where my food was, he looked at me in surprise and told me that it would be ready immediately. After another 2 minutes I asked again and got the same answer. When I got the same answer again after about 2 minutes, I waited another minute and then canceled my meal because my friends were almost finished with their food. The boss then told me that the food was ready now and he would bring it now. I continued to refuse the meal because I had other ideas about a leisurely dinner with friends. I assume that a meal was forgotten in the kitchen and the preparation only started when I asked. If I had been honestly told what was going on, I would have understood, but I don't like being held up like that at all. My wife's pork tenderloin was lukewarm, as was the canned pineapple. We will definitely not be coming back and will not recommend this restaurant. “Generously” I didn’t have to pay for my meal. What's more, the prices on the website do not match the prices on the menu.

Very good food at moderate prices, changes are always possible, friendly service

We had already reserved a table in December with a group of 20 people. The evening before (closed day in the restaurant) Mr. Eric asked whether the required number had changed. On January 9th we were received very friendly. The food and service were excellent. We say "Thank you" for a very nice evening in the Balkan Restaurant.

Wirklich sehr gut, Service ist fast nicht zu überbieten. Es schmeckt klasse, nicht Tod gebraten. Eins der besten Balkan, usw wo ich war. Vor ca 7Jahren war ich schonmal dort. Jetzt war er wirklich gut. Damals wäre die Bewertung anders ausgefallen.

Das Essen war gut, aber für ein Balkanrestaurant zu wenige Speisen aus dem Balkan, dafür aber zuviele internationale Speisen. Ich persönlich, habe einige Gerichte vermisst, aber das was ich dann gegessen habe, war gut.

Heerlijk gegeten. Alles was echt goed. Vriendelijk personeel. Niet lang hoeven wachten op ons eten.

Waren heute da haben einen Tisch bekommen ohne vorher zu reservieren. Sehr schönes Restaurant netter freundlicher Kellner. Man bekommt schnell sein Essen wir hatten einen Grillteller und zwei Hähnchensteak alles war sehr lecker. Kommen bestimmt wieder

Wir waren das erste mal hier im Restaurant Am Markt und sind positiv überrascht. Es gibt nichts schlechtes zu sagen. Der Salat war frisch, das Fleisch saftig und zart und das Bier hat geschmeckt. Die Preise sind völlig Ok. Wie kommen gerne wieder

Ein wirklich sehr schöner Laden mit sehr leckeren Essen. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und wir wurden freundlich begrüßt. Es hat auch nicht zu lange gedauert, dass uns das Essen serviert wurde. Das Essen war sehr schön und lecker angerichtet. So hat es dann auch geschmeckt. Das Essen war für uns alle sehr lecker und hat uns gut gefüllt. Der Preis vom Essen ist dabei auch völlig im Rahmen. Darüber hinaus war das Ambiente sehr ansprechend. Die Gestaltung war sehr angenehm und die Musik hat uns sehr zugesagt. Die Toiletten war auch sauber und gepflegt, obwohl wir erst später da waren. Wenn wir wieder in der Nähe sind gehen wir gerne nochmal dort essen.

Haben draußen gesessen, Chef total nett, trotz Regen ein gelungener Abend, mein nächster Geburtstag wieder da!
