Best restaurant I know. The food is great and the service is very friendly.

The food was to die for. A rump steak like you've never had before. It's simply indescribable. Everything is homemade and you can taste it. There was nothing to complain about when it came to food. We haven't eaten something so delicious in a long time. The staff is super friendly. And the bosses are super nice and caring. This restaurant would have earned 6 stars if it were 5 stars. Simply breathtaking.

Good home cooking, attentive staff. I found the wheat beer very tasty, one of the best I've drunk so far. Vegetarians will also find something tasty on the menu here.

We were at the Golden Lion with a couple we were friends with on a Friday evening at 8 p.m. Three of us had the Jägerschnitzel with mushroom cream sauce and one person had loin in pepper sauce. The food was once again an unparalleled pleasure. The schnitzels were crispy and tender on the inside, despite the generous sauce. The sauce was perfect in taste and consistency. The side dishes, once knöpfle and twice fries, were homemade and just as delicious. The loin with the pepper sauce was also very delicate and cooked to perfection. For dessert we had the apple basket with apricots, ice cream and cream, just to die for. The service was really nice and courteous at all times, even though the entire restaurant was occupied. The price-performance ratio is very good. We have eaten there many times and will definitely eat there very often. Thank you for these culinary delights

The garlic sauce with the grilled pepperoni is amazing. My stuffed pancake was hard to find on the large plate because of all the filling! And I thought I was very hungry… the portion was enormous and very tasty. The service was super attentive. You'll enjoy drinking an espresso there.

I attended a wedding at the Golden Lion this year and can highly recommend my colleagues. The food was incredibly tasty, the service was very good and the price-performance ratio was right.

So I'm really sorry that I have to give this bad review, but I can't understand the other reviews. The dishes were beautifully prepared, but the taste was completely interchangeable. Rump steak was tough and wasn't tender at all. Cordon Bleu was solid. This is what it tastes like when I buy frozen goods. The cheese didn't taste like anything. The croquettes were definitely frozen goods. It's a shame, but that's not how we come here. The service was nice, but not worth the money. Unfortunately.

So we went to this restaurant for the 7th time. The food is very tasty, the price is very good and the service is very friendly. We can recommend the restaurant and people remembered us.

We celebrated our civil wedding here. The planning, preparation and service were first class from start to finish. The waitresses were very friendly, accommodating and translated and fulfilled every wish. We were more than happy with everything. When it comes to price/performance you can't say anything negative. And at the end there was also a small gift. We can highly recommend this inn!

Food arrived on time and warm. The only positive thing about this meal. One dish had more mushrooms than meat. The croquettes tasted terrible. I've never experienced anything like that. They tasted like fish. As if a fish had been fried in the fat beforehand. That must not be! We don't like fish and then that's what we serve. That's a disgrace! The Aldi croquettes taste 100 times better! And now comes the biggest shame... stuffed flatbread with rump steak and herb butter. If I order a kebab for €5, I get more meat than in this flatbread for just under €18. If you had even 10 pieces of meat it was a lot. If I want to eat a salad, I order this. There was so much salad in it so you could save on the meat! Such a disappointment and shame for such a restaurant! Every cent you spend on it is too much!

I ordered schnitzel Viennese style comb from Deliverant, drowned in sauce so that the breading was softened and the sauce still tasted good when it was freshly mixed from the package!!!! Wiener-style schnitzel doesn't come with sauce and if you do, PLEASE SEPARATE IT BECAUSE YOU CAN'T REALLY

I've always enjoyed ordering, but today was the last time! I didn't even get close to what I ordered! There were mistakes in both meals. My friend gets cream sauce even though it has roast jus! And my food just flies into the bin!!! Called twice and I would have stayed with the Cordonbleu after the first call! I didn't get anything!! Money back for my dish. That was more than right, but you can't eat it either! Professionally is different!!! Never again!!!!!!!!!

We had our girls' night here at the Golden Lion and were totally thrilled. We shared a few starters - the Baden salad and the shrimp and chanterelle pancake are highly recommended 😍 in general, the portions were huge. You can see and taste that the Maultaschen are homemade! The main courses were all great and the service was very accommodating. We'd love to come back :-)

I ordered a French salad with Camembert. Unfortunately couldn't find France. Was very unloving. Green salad, carrot and white cabbage. No onions or anything else - just loveless. A pity.

Of course, I'm hoping for the usual very good quality from the delivery service from Eppelheim, because I often order for the whole family when I don't have time to cook on Sundays!

It was supposed to be steakhouse fries, unfortunately only the thin ones were given. Burger was delicious, you can eat it again.

4 people - 4 times dissatisfied. Rump steak - never so bad quality and dry and not medium. Ordered steakhouse fries - normal fries on the plate - upon request - we don't have them today. Fried onions were more like wood chips. Jägerschnitzel thin and more breading like schnitzel. Sauce - pure glutamate - so not homemade. Croquettes soaked with frying fat. Appetizer grilled pepperoni was good. Did it taste good? We weren't asked. Once and never again.

I agree with Steffen. Steakhouse fries came with the dish, so why should I ask when ordering? I immediately commented on it and the answer I received was that it doesn't exist today, unfortunately nothing more came. The mushrooms are fresh, but everything was rather cool and the schnitzel didn't taste fresh, rather warmed up...some of it was just breading. If you feel so sick after 10 minutes that you have to run to the toilet straight away, that's probably not a sign of good quality. I like places where you always get good food and are friendly informed about any changes. A 50/50 feeling at these prices? No thanks

We ordered via Lieferando. The food took over an hour to arrive, but it was definitely worth it. The garlic bread was juicy and not too overpowering. The pepperoni was juicy and spicy and the garlic cream was perfect for dipping the fresh bread. The burger was juicy, crispy and fresh and the salad with chicken strips was very tasty. Food 10/10

Unser Orchester hat kürzlich nach einem Konzert eine Feier in diesem Restaurant veranstaltet, und wir könnten nicht zufriedener sein. Es ist oft schwer, zu später Stunde ein passendes Restaurant zu finden, aber dieses hat alle unsere Erwartungen übertroffen. Wir hatten ein Buffet, und das Essen war äußerst lecker. Besonders positiv hervorzuheben ist, dass das Menü auf die Bedürfnisse unserer veganen und vegetarischen Kollegen angepasst wurde. Jeder fand etwas Köstliches zum Genießen. Das Zimmer, in dem wir untergebracht waren, war urig, groß und gemütlich. Wir hatten ausreichend Platz, um uns frei zu bewegen und die Feier zu genießen. Die Atmosphäre war wunderbar, und wir haben uns alle sehr wohl gefühlt. Ein großes Lob geht auch an die Kellnerinnen. Sie waren nicht nur sehr schnell, sondern auch äußerst nett und zuvorkommend. Ihr hervorragender Service hat den Abend perfekt abgerundet. Alles in allem war es ein sehr angenehmer Abend, und wir würden dieses Restaurant definitiv weiterempfehlen. Our orchestra recently hosted a celebration at this restaurant after a concert and we couldn't be happier. It's often difficult to find a suitable restaurant late at night, but this one exceeded all of our expectations. We had a buffet and the food was extremely tasty. What is particularly positive is that the menu has been adapted to the needs of our vegan and vegetarian colleagues. Everyone found something delicious to enjoy. The room we stayed in was quaint, large and cozy. We had enough space to move around freely and enjoy the celebration. The atmosphere was wonderful and we all felt very comfortable. A big compliment also goes to the waitresses. Not only were they very quick, but they were also extremely nice and accommodating. Your excellent service rounded off the evening perfectly. All in all, it was a very enjoyable evening and we would definitely recommend this restaurant. Not only does it offer great food and a welcoming atmosphere, but it also offers first-class service. We like to have it delivered and actually found out about this restaurant by chance. We've been extremely excited since our first order and are happy to order again and again! Good home-style dishes that are simply perfectly prepared & the contact is also very friendly! We will be regular customers & can only recommend it!!!!!

Wir haben zwei argentinische Black Angus Rumpsteaks gegessen. Diese waren sehr gut. Als Beilagen hatten wir einen Salat, Bohnen, Steakhousefries, Sweet potatoe fries, Knoblauchsauce und Kräuterbutter. Wobei der Preis von 2,50€ für Kräuterbutter schon bemerkenswert ist… Die Qualität ist gut, wobei das Salatdressing, ein bisschen fade, Geschmachsache ist. Auch hier etwas teuer mit 6,90 € für nur grünen Salat und ein wenig Kraut und Karotten… Die Bohnen hätten länger kochen müssen.

As a former restaurateur, I can only say that the Golden Lion rightly has such good reviews. The food was gigantic, you can tell the quality, the freshness and the love of the preparation. The service is simply great, friendly, quick to oblige and helpful. We immediately felt very comfortable and in good hands. The ambience is incredibly beautiful, a lot of love has been put into every detail and furnished with care. Many beautiful rooms for every occasion. Great selection of delicious dishes. From vegetarian/vegan, salads, meat, burgers and fish and dessert as well as seasonal and regional dishes, there is something for everyone. The food was very tasty, the service was great and we were constantly asked whether we were satisfied or needed anything else. I can only recommend the Golden Lion!

The food at the Golden Lion is always very good. There is also a good selection of vegetarian dishes. The portions are exceptionally large and you rarely wait long for your food. Kitchen and service are very professional. The outside area is very nice, even though it is right on the street. Although a reservation is certainly recommended, we have always had luck when we went there spontaneously.

Unfortunately, I haven't managed to eat there in person yet (which is why I didn't rate the ambience), but the delivery service is also phenomenal. The food always arrives hot and the portions are ridiculously large for these prices, which is unfortunately no longer a given these days. The delivery staff are always in a good mood and are always friendly and courteous. I'm looking forward to the day when I can come by in person :)

We have eaten at Löwen several times and have been very impressed every time. The rustic atmosphere invites you to feel at home and the food always comes quickly and is super tasty. You can also sit outside well. Although the outdoor area is on the street, you don't see much of it because the beer garden is well landscaped! But you especially have to praise the staff! Everyone has a bad day - but we've never experienced that with lions before! The service is always super nice and accommodating and you get the feeling that things are very harmonious and familiar there. P.s.: We have had the pleasure of ordering from Löwen Catering several times. It worked great every time - delicious, on time and warm!

I absolutely can't believe how disgusting it was there. I can't get rid of the disgusting rancid taste of my Cordon Bleu after an hour. It never happens that I leave food or write bad reviews, but this tasted so disgusting that I can't help it. We had ordered 3. It was 75 € so it was quite expensive, which is what you would expect. The Corodn Bleu costs 20 euros. What came was a rancid piece of meat. It looked like schnitzel. It smelled like rot and tasted like it too. As if the meat and other things had been stored incorrectly. There were also about 6 croquettes and a little sauce. The sauce tasted like it was ready-made and wasn't even seasoned. Very bland and somehow a bit scruffy here too. Maybe the expiry date was not taken into account here. But it tasted like the rest that dripped down under the oven. The meat made such a bad impression from the first bite that I had to grimace. Normally I'll just eat anything, but this is the last straw. I'm even afraid that I'll get sick after these 3 bites. It smelled very, very rotten. The croquettes tasted like they had been warmed up 10 times. The next question is serious & I would never say something like that but - Hence the question: Do you want to poison your customers? Actually you should pay me compensation now. Because it's worth it at best! Maybe you should go into another business. How about being a contract killer? But then also in such a way that the schnitzel doesn't taste like it. I would like to go further, but I have the feeling that I'm going to get diarrhea and have to sit on the pot for hours. Thank you for nothing. I'll have the health department send me there first because that's absolutely not possible! And before some stupid comment comes from you about how you get the best premium meat from the butcher and blah blah blah. Just don't STORE your products in a toilet, then maybe it tastes good and can be expected of people. Please do everyone a favor....close your restaurant....

Unfortunately the asparagus and potatoes we bought today were very poor. 70 percent of the asparagus still had the peel on it and was also very hard. We've always been happy so far, but today was nothing. For the price of 22 euros I would have expected better quality.

Full 5 stars. Service was very nice and attentive. The food was delicious as always. Price wise everything is okay as everything is delicious. Reservation makes sense. Beer garden on the street, but we don't find it loud. Feel free to come here.

On Sunday we spontaneously felt like going out to eat. In the morning we called the restaurant to reserve a table. The staff was very nice on the phone and was able to organize a table for 6 people with a lot of effort. Of course there was a time limit, but that was clear and okay for us. Of course it was super crowded, but everything went really quickly and the employees were really accommodating and friendly. There is even a children's menu and children's chairs :-) The children's dishes are a bit big for the very little ones, but the two little ones simply shared one dish. Delicious spaetzle. We had shredded oxen with fried potatoes and vegetables. Really fresh and plentiful. And finally a crème brûlée with vanilla ice cream. The size was quite manageable, but completely sufficient. We still had the gourmet block ready for the Rhein-Neckar district, so we had a main course for free. Free parking spaces available in the area. Overall tip top 👍

It was a very nice culinary finale to be able to enjoy a meal with family and friends at the Badisches Gasthaus zum Goldenen Löwen. A very friendly, competent team and a brilliant menu. We would definitely like to continue trying out the menu.

Location rather rustic but exactly my style. We have tried many different dishes and have been very happy with everything so far. We'd love to come back again and again.
