Grill-Restaurant AKIS "Zum Schützenhaus" in Eppelheim

As a wheelchair user myself, we ordered and picked up food on Saturday. Unfortunately, it turned out the order was incorrect. After a quick phone call, we were told our order would be delivered within 10 minutes! True to form, our delivery arrived at our door within the promised time, brought by a wonderful and friendly employee. That's customer service! Thank you again. The food is also highly recommended – large and generous portions. All in all, better than 5 stars! We will gladly order from them again. Thanks again to the employee who delivered our order!

Rustic but very cozy, totally nice staff and the food is super delicious.

We visited the restaurant for the Hungarian retro party. The party was terrible, but that wasn't the owner's fault, as it was organized externally. However, at the same time, very pleasant music was playing in the adjacent room, and the owner sang live. In the end, we had our own private party in the main room, with karaoke and our own music, without anyone disturbing us. We've never experienced anything like that before—it was absolutely fantastic and truly saved the evening. Thank you so much!

Wow, what a gem!!!! You wouldn't expect it, nestled between major roads and industrial estates on the outskirts of Eppelheim, but it's fantastic. The joie de vivre is evident in the restaurant and the food. A great beer garden. 5 stars aren't enough.

Eight of us went to Akis's at the Schützenhaus for dinner on Saturday. The food was excellent, and the portions were generous. Everything went perfectly; we'd love to come back.

Akis is an institution in Heidelberg. It serves good, honest Greek food. Not high-class or fancy, but simply good. The ambiance is simply what it offers. Large rooms, plenty of outdoor seating. Nicely done. We were served by the owner's daughter. Super attentive, extremely friendly, and very nice. We'd be happy to come back. We were full and satisfied.

Recommended for an unplanned lunch and also planned appointments

Unfortunately, the visit was very disappointing. We were invited to a private party, and the food was ordered for 6 p.m. The food arrived at the buffet 90 minutes later, but there wasn't enough for everyone. Refills only arrived after repeated requests. The quality was less than impressive, and the gyro was very dry and cold. The service was absolutely disappointing; our plates weren't cleared; we had to do it ourselves. The drinks took a long time to arrive, even though a flat rate had been agreed upon. Overall, I wouldn't recommend the restaurant, especially not for a private party.

Everything went wrong, service was zero, staff didn't speak German. Three parties were booked on one Saturday, you can imagine what would happen!!!

The food arrived at 7:30, not 6 as promised. We begged for drinks even though we had paid for them, and to top it all off, we were kicked out early! Thanks for the successful party... Never again.

Unfortunately, I personally can't give this restaurant a good review. We were invited to a party there. The food arrived an hour and a half late, and we had to beg for drinks even though we were flat (or because of that). The tables were cleared by us guests, and we constantly had to beg for clean glasses or cutlery. I can't recommend this restaurant and won't be going back!

Hidden inconspicuously among the former wilderness areas, a small oasis awaits. A family-friendly atmosphere with a charmingly landscaped beer garden and a small playhouse with a slide and swings. In addition to good food, you'll also find regular events here. A visit is always worthwhile!

You can't eat worse. The tzatziki bowl was dirty, the breading on the schnitzel was dripping with grease, the asparagus was old and watery, and the fried potatoes, like everything else, were tasteless. I couldn't finish it, so I paid and left. Simply cheap and a joke. Addendum to the owner's comment: And then they lie like that. The plate was returned as pictured. Without asking if there was anything wrong. I had previously shown the server the dirty bowl. I paid the €35 without a tip. Be happy with such poor service.

Absolute surprise today! At first I wasn't particularly impressed by the location, but then it happened in quick succession: first the starter - a salad that was absolutely delicious, then the sirloin skewer baked with sheep's cheese - more than enough and super tasty. Small deficiencies in service are more than compensated for. Conclusion: the AKIS is an absolute surprise recommendation and can only be warmly recommended and recommended to everyone. If you want to have delicious and inexpensive Greek food in Eppelheim, AKIS is the right place for you! Absolutely recommended! We'll be back!

Gutes Essen, sehr freundlich. Preise moderat. Familien mit Kindern herzlich willkommen. Es wurde extra ein Spielplatz für Kinder angelegt. Leider wird selten nachgefragt ob man noch etwas zu bestellen möchte (Getränke)

Hi Akis and Rita, Unfortunately, I have to inform you that your prices are extremely expensive and almost outrageous. To charge €19.00 for a Befteki with fries is really exorbitant. Yes, we are all aware that prices have risen due to the economic crisis. But charging so much money for a bit of minced meat and fries makes us stop eating (for a few euros more I get a delicious steak). Also your children's portions are crazy prices......really a shame, good luck... Best regards

We were there for lunch. The food (lunch) was sufficient and tasty. Good value for money.

Everything was fine until everything went wrong. They had forgotten our order, we waited an hour for the food and ordered again. When paying, we asked if they could offer us compensation. This was rejected in a completely customer-unfriendly manner. A man behind the counter called us cheeky. Old regular customers are treated well, but you don't necessarily go there every now and then. It's a shame, the food was always good, especially calamari and gyros. I will not return where I am insulted.

Today we had lunch together as a department (approx. 10 people). The location is rustic but still attractive and offers a lot of space. The service is always friendly and attentive. The dishes are super tasty and the portion size is sufficient. The food was also served quickly. Always worth a recommendation!

Akis feature a large variety of food items from the Mediterranean area and Germany. Of special mention is an affordable special lunch menu, with Greek dishes, schnitzel and salad. The quality of of the food is great and service swift & friendly.

Familiar, family-friendly, delicious food and everyone always has a smile on their faces...

We were there with our granddaughter. It was simply brilliant because there was a beautiful playground set up. This makes eating out an experience for children. She was also the first to be served food. The best Greek food I've had in a long time, tasty and balanced in portions. We will come back and recommend the Schützenhaus.

Hungry from the photo tour, we came here based on Google Maps and luckily had the last parking space. The service in the beer garden was very friendly. My wife and I enjoyed the food from the small menu. We had a good time in the beer garden.

Food is really very good. Ambience is rustic and clean. But the seating could happily be replaced with newer and more comfortable ones. The service is friendly and sometimes very competent. Only the catering, specifically the taking of further drinks orders, only worked when requested, even though the entire group had been sitting in front of empty glasses for a long time. For this reason only two stars for the service.

A Greek restaurant with a clear but perfectly adequate menu. But it tastes really good and at very fair prices. The ambience isn't amazing, but it's okay. Depending on the direction and strength of the wind, we recommend sitting inside, as the scents of the nearby Rudolf Wild works can sometimes waft by. But: With the delicious dishes and the friendliness and attentiveness of the staff, the shop has earned my full sympathy 😉

The Schützenhaus had the best schnitzel and a good selection, such as the garlic schnitzel, cheese schnitzel or Bolognese schnitzel, large portions and the price was great, unfortunately I have to say that these are no longer available, they still have a few schnitzels, but nothing special anymore. It's very unfortunate that people who go to eat there now find the food good, if they knew what it tasted like back then they would notice that the quality and the taste have completely deteriorated, it's a shame, the Schützenhaus has always stood for me as that Place with the best schnitzel dishes. With a heavy heart, I won't eat there again.

Food catastrophe: Starter plate ok so far, but overdone and dry, vegetable skewer with an absurd amount of roasted ingredients (i.e. burnt), lots of onions, hardly any peppers (which was still raw but burnt), a bit of eggplant and tzatziki. Unfortunately the price-performance ratio is not right at all. The service tried to compensate for the poor performance of the kitchen. One point goes to the service.

Here you can sit outside and listen to the chef singing Greek songs. It's rustic but very cozy. The food was ok but the salad was a bit sour. But it could have been due to the form of the day.

Never again. We ordered for delivery via the app. Two dishes, two starters. When ordering via the app, you can specify a desired delivery time. We specified 6:15 p.m. The confirmation usually also includes an indication of the delivery time, which can also be a different time. In this case the confirmation was for 6:30 p.m. No problem, it's fine. After about 20 minutes a lady called and asked if it was possible to deliver beforehand. Not an issue here either, we actually wanted it a little earlier anyway, namely 6:15 p.m., see above. She was currently planning the tour and whether it could be a little earlier. Yes, that would work, but not much sooner. Maybe just after 6:00 p.m. or something. We still had work to do. Would we be home? Yes, here we are. At 5:40 p.m. the lady is at the door with the food, I'm in the shower. My wife receives the food and complains that it is much too early. The woman justifies herself that she called specifically. There was no mention of anything saying that much earlier was possible. There was talk of something earlier. Not more than 45 minutes before the actual confirmed appointment. So put the food in the oven. It is clear to me that a meal that has been in the oven for 20 minutes cannot taste as fresh and aromatic as when it comes hot from the kitchen. The meat on both skewers was dry and the consistency was rather tough. The entire order was over €50. Conclusion: The lady on the phone knew full well that she couldn't keep the requested time. She knew full well that she would deliver either significantly earlier or significantly later (she said at the door that otherwise it would have been 7:30 p.m.). It's okay that you can't deliver at the desired time. But then you have to communicate that and not pocket the money anyway and then do something somehow. I paid the full amount, online, via the app. She wanted to sell the food. And she didn't care whether the customer was happy or not. She made the decision when the customer would get their food, I couldn't decide whether it was right for me or not. But I have to pay. That's not how you treat customers, too much money for cold food.

Always delicious food and great service. Keep it up.

So , hab ihn jetzt wieder besucht nach längerer Zeit. Muss sagen hat sich wieder sehr ins positive geändert , freundlich wie immer. Portionen sind wieder dem Preis entsprechend a gepasst. Ambiente wie immer super geil, vor allem wenn der Wirt anfängt zu singen. Kann ich aktuell nur jedem empfehlen werr authentisch griechisch essen möchte.

Wir haben eine grieche Platte gegessen, der Gyros war nicht warm, der Spiess war trocken und die Hackfleisch Röllchen waren auch sehr trocken! Der Salat war klein und nicht nach griechischer Art!

Sehr leckeres Essen und große Portionen zu fähren Preisen. Werden definitiv öfter kommen.

Sehr leckerer Salat und auch der Senioren Bauernteller war lecker (und für mich etwas zuviel, aber das sollte ein Normalesser gut schaffen ;)). Sehr großer Aussengarten und recht gemütlich. Allerdings war die Beleuchtung etwas zu grell, daher lieber ohne dort verweilt. Bedienung war auch nett und das Essen kam recht schnell. Gerne wieder :)

Haben uns heute von Akis beliefern lassen, da es viel zu warm war um selbst in der Küche zu stehen 😛 Essen war irre schnell da und sogar NOCH LECKERER als sonst schon 😍 immmmmer wieder gerne!!!

Essen immer lecker und für den Raum Heidelberg preiswert. Ich saß übrigens einige Tische weiter als Frau Kugler, die die negative Bewertung geschrieben hat, zum Essen dort war. Seltsam-die Teller waren komplett leer. Sogar das Brot wurde aufgegessen.

Tolle Atmosphäre Tolles Essen Immer gute Laune

Ich hatte einen Gyrossalat mit Knoblauchbrot bestellt. Der Salat war völlig geschmacklos, das Knoblauchbrot bestand aus verbrannten Schwsrzbrotscheiben mit zerlaufener Butter. Knoblauch nicht sichtbar, angeblich wird da Knoblauchpulver drauf gemacht, es hat aber nicht annähernd nach Knoblauch geschmeckt, sorry geht gar nicht. Wir kommen nie wieder. Schlechtestes Essen ever!

Haben heute das erste Mal, sicher aber nicht das letzte Mal hier bestellt. Die gegrillten Peperoni sind der Hammer. Keine Knoblauchcreme sondern frischer Knoblauch. Selbst der Beilagensalat war toll angemacht. Die Portionen sind auch ordentlich. Die Lieferung war überpünktlich und ein sehr netter Kontakt. Obendrein gab es noch einen Ouzo dazu.

Eher einfach gehaltene Gastronomie mit gutem Essen.

Hatten gestern eine Geburtstagsfeier, Essen wurde für ca.12 Personen geliefert . Also ich war sehr überrascht, es war super gut , reichlich und für die Lieferung sehr heiß . Jederzeit wieder . Ich war ein paar Mal hier essen. Oft ist es wirklich lecker, aber halt nicht immer. Ebenso der Service, oft aufmerksam, aber manchmal wird man vergessen. Die Portionen sind wirklich groß, aber es nützt nicht viel, wenn der Reis nur lauwarm an den Tisch kommt oder zB der Salat vergessen wird.

Ich liebe Akis. Vor allem im Sommer draußen zu sitzen. Oder wenn der Chef persönlich für seine Gäste singt. Sind alle sehr nett. Gehe gerne hin und werde es auch weiter tun. Danke Akis.
