Sushi? In Hamm? YES! We were visiting family in Hamm and stumbled upon Bach Tra near St. Paul's Church. Since it was still relatively warm in the evening, we were able to sit outside. We ordered various appetizers, and I had a small sushi platter. I was surprised by the very fresh fish and ingredients, and you could see that the rolls were made fresh on the spot and not pre-prepared. We'll definitely come back next time! :)

Incredibly delicious food and an incredibly friendly team. They were also able to easily accommodate our food intolerance. The price-performance ratio is absolutely fair considering the quality of the products.

A place to feel at home! My wife and I rarely eat out ourselves, as we work in the restaurant industry. But the food was a 100/10. Every dish was cooked to perfection, fresh, and simply incredibly delicious. The service is very friendly, and you immediately feel welcome. Overall, the entire atmosphere is very cozy and inviting. We drove about 40 minutes and will definitely come back with our friends or just for a lovely evening for two.

Very tasty sushi. However, I find the sauces for the various dishes, whether rice or noodles, to be far too thin. It's more like broth than sauce. Another good thing I could imagine on the menu would be udon noodles. ☺️

Ordered to go. Extremely carelessly presented. Sushi was half-disintegrated. Tasted of nothing. Forgot a number, but charged something completely different on the receipt. Paid €7 for something we didn't order and wasn't even included. Absolutely outrageous. Never again.

The food was really good. The two of us ordered the Haven menu and the homemade spring rolls. They were homemade and absolutely delicious. The sushi was also excellent. Regarding drinks, I thought it was a bit of a shame that they didn't offer any non-alcoholic cocktails, but they did offer lemonade. Regarding service, it would have been nice if you had been able to reorder drinks. A little more attentiveness would have been good. But all in all, a good restaurant.

I ate there with my boyfriend yesterday, and it was around 10:30. The staff were still very friendly, and it was a pleasure eating there. The ambiance was perfect, and the food was delicious. All in all, a fantastic experience. We'd love to go again!

The worst restaurant I've ever visited! If you want to ruin your evening, go to this restaurant. The waiters here seem to be selected according to the principle: the ruder and lazier, the better. We were greeted as if we were begging for alms and unwilling to spend money. A simple "Hello" received no response, no reaction. The menu arrived after 20 minutes, even though the room was half empty. Placing an order was a real challenge: The waitress ignored our attempts to get her attention, and when she finally did, she acted as if she were saying, "What do you want from me, anyway?" She messed up the order, brought us something completely different, and then tried to convince us that "you said so." No apology, no attempt to clarify the situation—just eye rolling and complete indifference. The dishes were dirty, the table sticky, as if it had last been cleaned a week ago. I'm completely disappointed.😡 I've been going to this restaurant since it opened. When the owner was still on site, everything was reasonably responsible. Recently, however, the service has been simply disastrous. My orders were constantly mixed up, and I often received the wrong dishes. I sometimes had to wait 30 to 40 minutes for my sushi. Some of the waitresses barely understood my German—just as they barely understood my words. Yes, the wrong dishes were replaced upon request, but why do such mistakes happen so regularly? The staff seem inattentive and distracted. I really like the taste of the food, but the service is simply disappointing. I honestly don't want to have any further contact with a particular waitress who has been working here for some time.

I've eaten sushi in so many places, and also in many expensive restaurants and big cities like Düsseldorf, Dortmund, or Cologne. And I've never in my entire life liked a sushi place as much as this one. Thank goodness I only live 10 minutes from Bachtra. I honestly couldn't survive otherwise. I love your sushi more than anything. I haven't tried anything else besides kimchi. The kimchi was great too. I go there very often and can only recommend it to everyone. I could really eat here every day. The homemade drinks are also great. The ambiance and the restaurant are also beautifully decorated. Simply top-notch. I go to Lünen and Hamm (I live right in between, from Bergkamen/Werne). Lünen is just a bit smaller but still top-notch. The prices are totally okay. Especially since the prices for sushi always rise so drastically and it's so expensive. Here, I think the prices are totally justified.

We ate at Bach Tra for the first time today and were thrilled. The Tom Kha soup was wonderfully balanced, the summer rolls were fresh and crunchy, the dip for the Bun Cha La Lot was great to put in. We'll be back!

I gave my daughter and her boyfriend a voucher for dinner, unfortunately a worm crawled out of the food on the plate. Only the contaminated piece was replaced and they only had to pay 50%. A no go! Never again😱

Unfortunately the price-performance ratio is not right at the moment! When you visit a restaurant, you not only pay for the food and drinks, but also to a large extent for the service. And unfortunately it is now underground. We (we were there with 2 people on April 20th - so a “clear” table) were brought to the table by a young, not very friendly and completely unmotivated gentleman, even though we hadn't eaten half of the starter. When we pointed out that we wanted to finish the starter in peace and that the main course would be served completely early, the young man told us (original quote): "I can't help that either." and he remained standing at the table with the plates. We said again and again that we're not there yet and that the time management isn't right at all. He replied: "Then you have to put that in the review on Google. Nobody listens to me in the kitchen anymore." We were completely flabbergasted by the unfriendliness and lack of customer focus. He then put the plates down. A kind word or even a small apology for the inconvenience? None! When we ordered the bill after the "pressure feeding" and asked him again about the situation, he didn't take any notice of it and stubbornly stuck to his tip to leave a corresponding review on Google. When the restaurant opened in Hamm years ago, not only was the food and drinks good, but the service staff was always friendly, courteous and everyone always had a smile for the guests. Unfortunately, these times are a thing of the past. We strongly recommend that management conduct appropriate training with the staff deployed. At the moment the dishes prepared are still of good quality, but from the guest's point of view that is unfortunately only half the battle. Customer-oriented, friendly and motivated service staff are just as important. They are the figurehead in the catering industry. Visiting restaurants is no fun and not worth the money!

We like to eat at Bachtra. Good food at reasonable prices. However, we are increasingly annoyed by the poor organization in the restaurant and the inadequately trained staff. Our recommendation is to order the courses individually!!!! Otherwise the food comes almost at the same time. During our last stay we finished two courses after 45 minutes. Then eating is not a pleasure but pure stress. Suggestions or dissatisfaction should be expressed via the Google review, and I will do so here. Maybe it will help. Hope dies last.

Bach Tra in Hamm has definitely quickly become one of my favorite restaurants since opening in 2022. Since it opened, lunch breaks have been consistently spent there once a week or something has been picked up. The food is well prepared and tastes authentic. The summer rolls with the fish sauce are a poem and I have never eaten the homemade spring rolls so well, at least in Germany. I have never eaten kimchi so well outside of Asia. There have only been communication problems from time to time when ordering by telephone, but these have always been resolved satisfactorily. Particularly noteworthy: the sushi!!! Always super fresh and compared to everything!!! Here in the area around Hamm, Soest etc. the absolute frontrunner. The Kaishi in Soest, for example, is always highly praised for its sushi, but it cannot compete with the BachTra Sushi in terms of quality, craftsmanship or price-performance ratio. Summary: great, I could eat here every day.

Best food in Hamm at the best prices. Honestly? Yesterday I was in the (similar) restaurant a few meters away. However, the food there was much more expensive and there were little to no vegan options. At Bachtra we have always been offered vegan options without any problems!! The food is super tasty and I would even describe the prices as cheap. The appetizers are also very tasty! The service was super friendly. Unfortunately I don't live in Hamm otherwise I would definitely be there more often! ❤️

After reading the two 1-point reviews from last week, I was about to change my mind, but then I thought, with all the good reviews, I'd give it a try. It was a good decision. I was there with friends yesterday. We had reserved food and the restaurant was recommended to us. Unfortunately I was totally disappointed. The food was just thrown onto the plate and didn't look anything like the pictures. I got my food much earlier than the others at our table, which I didn't like because we wanted to eat together. The fried noodles were not edible, not fried properly and hardly seasoned.

We ate here for the first time today. The ambiance was okay, the music was unusual for this restaurant. The menus were very worn and dirty. The staff were friendly. After we ordered our drinks, the starters came fairly quickly and were more bad than good. We hadn't even finished the starter when the main course arrived. I was very disappointed with this restaurant because, based on the reviews, I had hoped for more. The food was inedible. We wouldn't eat here again.
