I highly recommend the restaurant. The price is fair, great staff and wonderful food. Also, they serve vegeterian and vegan options <3 I will definitely make a visit next time I come to Berlin.

Decent restaurant, friendly welcome

Especially difficult for Berlin... It was a Friday night, so it's crowded, I understand. But when you treat customers so unfriendly, it takes away your appetite. The food tasted OK. But the radishes and pomegranate in the salad don't make up for the ridiculously small portion of €16 (!) for a shawarma plate. No fries, no rice, a cold, dry flatbread. A medium to small portion of meat. You can get MUCH more elsewhere for half the price. Just walk on and don't fall for it.

A bit expensive compared to other similar restaurants in the area, but the taste was great.

The food is okay, tasty, but nothing special. It tastes like any other Lebanese food. The price is too high for the quality.

I generally enjoy eating there, and have been for 10 years. The food usually tastes good, but that's about all that works there. 1. Restroom hygiene - judge for yourself. 2. The employees like to touch the (raw!) minced meat with their bare hands, then accept money; no hand washing - not everyone's cup of tea. 3. Sandwiches slapped together rather carelessly, greens regularly have 5-centimeter-long stems, and minced lamb often stays half-raw (apparently to save time). 4. Sandwiches rolled carelessly - 90% of the sauce spills out onto you, so you don't eat it, but it just gets all over the place. Suggestions, presented calmly and friendly, about how things could be done better, cleaner, and more hospitable, were met with unfounded, condescending, and aggressive reactions. A man with very few teeth introduced himself as the person in charge, didn't even attempt to listen, and then quickly became abusive. One star.

Food good but just average for Lebanese food. Overpriced tourist trap, watch out for larger groups.

Very good Lebanese cuisine, unlike many "standard" restaurants that offer similar dishes on the menu. The dishes here are exceptional in quality, preparation, and presentation, and are incomparable. Therefore, I always enjoy coming back.

I never liked Arabic cuisine but I really like Babel, the first time I fell in love with Lebanese food! I came here five years ago with friends and I never forgot how good it is. I came back to Germany after five years and I came to babel. The food was amazing as always!!!!! Recommend the plate and shawarma wraps!

careful! today i paid with card and it was automatically charged with 3.85% additional „surcharge“. no information beforehand. and when i pointed it out (this is not legal in germany) they fighted about it. i hope they change this soon.

Had a super tasty shawarma, generously topped with meat and vegetables.

Delicious! Outdoor seating with fresh flowers arranged with care and grace, excellent quality food, plentiful and at the right price. We took the ''babel platte'' for 2 people which in addition to being super good was enough for 3 (possible take away if you can't finish). Quality kebab and roasted to perfection. It remains in your memory. I highly recommend it.

A real hit! The menu offers truly amazing dishes! Those who sit outside get a full view of the lively neighborhood. You can hear trams and cars all the time, but it's not extremely loud. We'd love to come back!

A fantastic Lebanese restaurant that’s well worth the wait—even if there’s a line, I highly recommend sticking it out. We tried the large mixed platter with a variety of dishes, and everything was exceptional, perfectly cooked and full of flavor. Service was fast, and the entire staff was kind and welcoming. Great value for money. If you go, definitely try the large combo platter to experience a bit of everything!

The food was average, and the prices were too expensive. The man who served us was so unfriendly that it made us feel uncomfortable to sit there.

Great tasty little place, good was pretty decent- however we went when they were pretty busy and that was a bit stressful even for us. Just trying to get the order in and find a proper table was a bit of challenge, finally they put us in a small table by the door so staff kept running behind our seats feeling like you may get bumped at any minute. Otherwise pretty good place maybe just try avoiding peek times

Food and service both unbeatable 👌🏼 always the first port of call in Berlin.

We had the grill plate for two people. When quality and quantity come together, there's absolutely nothing to complain about. A kind-hearted and accommodating owner made our visit a truly memorable experience.

The food is OK, but a bit expensive in my opinion, one mixed plate around 22 euros. Unfortunately, It is not a place to relax and have a conversation, the music was extremely loud and the place is hectic 😞

The food was delicious and the portions were generous. The service was friendly and fast. Even though it was quite busy during the lunch break, we didn't have to wait long. We'd be happy to come back.

Poor hygiene. As I went to the counter to pay, a man was doing a falafel sandwich and cashing money at the same time. Not washing hands after touching the money. This is level 1 of basic hygiene. Also the prices advertised outside and charged inside are not the same.

Super expensive food for a few vegetables, very little meat and even less cheese. A platter for 2 people for 45 euros, on which was a feta cheese, halved for two people, two pieces of minced meat the size of a lighter, vegetables well distributed on the plate, which were quite sour, some not fresh either. We really felt that was an imposition. Then we sat right at the tram stop. Our table, which was 60x60 cm, maybe even just 50x50 cm, was right at the stop and on the side of the road. That's why we were given breakfast plates so we could transfer our food from the plate to the plate. People on the street walked right past our table, or anyone waiting for the tram stood right next to us. All the passengers who got off the tram also walked past us. I've never experienced that before. An experience that will stay in your memory. The waiters were nice but not particularly attentive. We had to wait a long time for subsequent orders or to be able to pay, even though the waiters sometimes had nothing to do. Then many Indians drove their scooters onto the sidewalk to make deliveries and also stopped next to us. The noise and the exhaust fumes were annoying. Every few minutes the trams passed us noisily from both directions. The distance is a maximum of 4 meters, more like 3 meters. Everything is really big cinema.

We were so surprised at how delicious it was. Great service. Even if nothing on the menu is vegan. They make so much delicious vegan food. One of the best Lebanese I've ever eaten. So the plate for 2 with fries And Babaganush for 4 people is easily enough... We'll be back.

Real Lebanese cuisine full of flavor and taste. The owner has decorated his restaurant with magnificent flowers which give a very rural feel. For the cuisine it is excellent I recommend the 10 dish plate with great value for money. For the service he speaks French so ordering your items is easy.

As a Lebanese, highly recommend this place

We ordered the grill plate for 2 which normally didn’t include any falafel. We really wanted to have some so we asked the waiter if we could choose falafel as a side dish to the plate. The waiter was so nice that he made an exception for us.☺️ The food was AMAZING. We weren’t disappointed and the portions were great too. We were full. 😊

Could be tasty, but not so fresh

Nice place with a pretty cool feature - a lot of flowers inside and along the terrace. During my last visit I ordered Babel plate which has 10 types of food on it, basically try all we have option which I like as a concept. Majority of the dishes was tasty, but the plate feels overpriced- 24 euro. And it’s not that it is that big that it is hard to finish for one person. I think the ideal dish there are sandwiches with minced meat or chicken, fair price and good taste.

Very good food, but mass processing of the service

This must be one of the best Lebanese restaurants ever! I’ve traveled a lot in Europe and I’ve come to this level of cordiality and welcoming very very rarely! A must go in Berlin

Very, very good food, especially the falafel. Unfortunately, our service was a bit unfriendly or uninterested. As we noticed, the other waitress was friendly. We were just unlucky. Still worth recommending 👍🏻

Loved the food. But waiter's attitude was very very bad. They refused to accept card even though there was card machine at counter, we had to go to ATM to withdraw.

For me it's always the best shawarma. The shop is almost too small for the large crowds - the food and the team are excellent.

The food is 5 stars, very tasty, but the waiter is a boor. He is insolent and rude to women, without respect. (We were there yesterday at 18:00).

Got the beef schwarma, and it was just plain bad. Beef was tough, chewy, and flavorless. I was drunk and it still didn’t taste good, that’s how bad it was. Folks were nice enough though.

Ambience is good in terrace Food is delicious but a lot of souses and salt so not very healthy The didn’t take credit card and forced my friend to go to the bank and get cash

Remember to bring cash or withdraw money from one of the ATMs just around the corner.

Atmospheric restaurant with very good food

Although the chaotic atmosphere adds a certain authenticity, it doesn't make up for the almost 40-minute wait to order. And guess what, when we finally got our food, it wasn't worth the wait. The plate was unbalanced, with too many bitter, salty and sour tastes and an overall unsatisfactory experience.

Amazing people. I didn't expect this. I didn't have cash with me to pay but they told me to pay back later and gave me a fantastic plate or shawarma. What a gentle manner in these times. And the food was fantastic 🤤

It was very crowded and quite loud and somehow stressful, but the food was good and the service was very quick and hardworking.

The food is as delicious and it is visually stunning. The vegetables are fresh and diverse and the salad has a lovely mix of greens and a homemade dressing. The atmosphere is lively with lots of patrons sitting at tables outside the restaurant, and the service is friendly. While prices aren't low the serving size is giant! So it's good value.

We've eaten there several times and have always been very satisfied. But the home delivery (although quick) was unfortunately just terrible. We had a custom plate and a kofte plate. On both plates, we found 50% of the salad was bland, unmarinated. Anyone who likes eating that mass of raw onions must have a real passion for it; unfortunately, we don't. The plate looked unappetizing; they only provided one loaf of bread per person for €20 per plate—that's truly outrageous. Unfortunately, the value for money is abysmal; we're very disappointed.

Das Babel in der Kastanienallee ist ein Muss für alle, die authentische libanesische Küche in Berlin suchen. Der Beef Shawarma war frisch zubereitet und einfach super – saftig, aromatisch und perfekt gewürzt. Die Atmosphäre ist lebendig, und die Männer hinter der Theke sind super freundlich! Ein echter Geheimtipp für alle, die Schawarma lieben!

I visited this restaurant 10 years ago and had my first shawarma and was absolutely thrilled. After 10 years I came back with my husband, who only knew this food from a small town and he was thrilled, as was I. The taste hasn't changed, it's just great. It's so delicious. The components fit together so well and are so coordinated that you can hardly stop eating. Plus, you get 1 free piece of baklava with every order. I'm not normally a fan of this but this is so tasty I could get into it. I'll drive 100 km for it again any time. My husband said he can no longer eat the shawarma in our city after knowing how good it can taste. So a very clear recommendation

Quality has deteriorated a lot since Corona! I'm a regular from the first hour when the shawarma still cost €3.5. For some time now it has just become over-salted and lacks the previous fruity and umami flavors. The shawarma now costs €7.5. The tourists come anyway; If it's in the guide book, it must be good. So why bother if things are going that way... What a shame!

Estábamos sentados de inmediato a pesar de que Estaba ocupado el servidor movió algunas mesas para nosotros. Pedimos el plato de compartir para 2 , era un plato grande de comida y tan fresco y delicioso! En general, el servicio encantador y el ambiente, toda la comida era increíble y a un precio razonable.

Ristorante consigliato da un amico. Dall’esterno l’ arredamento può dare da pensare (in negativo), anche se la presenza di fiori freschi everywhere l’ho trovata molto chic. Il cibo è semplicemente divino, piatti abbondanti e deliziosi. Impostato come una sorta di “self service” ma devo dire che merita molto. Consigliatissimo

The people there were so nice. The food quality was OK. Compared to Arab and Turkish restaurants, the amount of food in a Kofta plate (€17), in my view, wasn’t considerably different from what you expect in a kofta sandwich (€7). So, this was disappointing! The place’s vibes were not my thing!

We hebben heerlijk gegeten en kozen een grote schaal voor 3 personen. Het was teveel maar o zo lekker. Diverse soorten vlees, humus, sauzen. Wees op tijd want het is populair en loopt snel vol.

No heating, weak food, only cash payment after before Ordering should be done explicitly by card payment. Disappointing!

We heard a lot of good things and wanted to try it out. The food looks delicious, but there are many equally great options in the area. The staff was quite unfriendly and we didn't get tap water (upon request) on a very warm day. Finally, you can't pay by card, which you were only told after eating... that's often the case in Berlin, but the shop is running, so all in all it's not really customer-friendly. Would recommend checking out another store in the area, they also have good food and a friendly welcome.

What a surprise. When we left the nearby NAUTA, hurried and hungry, after 3 hours of waiting, we no longer expected to eat so deliciously. Tables were quickly put together for 11 people and drinks were served and after less than 15 minutes the table was filled with food. We had ordered 4 plates of the BABEL mixed plate, which was extremely tasty. The evening was saved, highly recommended 👍 👍 👍

Very poor Halloumi / Babaganoush, most of plate was basic salad, Babaganoush very little. Got 1 pita bread. Bad deal for 15 EUR
