Amazing food, we had plates with the choice of 3 dishes, everything was great, and it all came with a huge portion of fresh green salad. Very nice service and atmosphere, too.

Just the best schawarma in Berlin!!!

Worst experience in Berlin so far. My friend ordered a Kofta sandwich for me. When they gave me the sandwich, was full of shawarma meat and not Kofta. When I complained the guy kept repeating that I ordere a shawarma, that he clearly remembers my voice ordering a shawarma.... I did order nothing, my friend did! They accepted to do the sandwich with what we ordered, just to give me a bread with 2 piece of Kofta and full of onions and nothing else. So many onions was uneatable... This service is literally the worst I ever received, tried to scam me and then even be petty when they are called out. Avoid this place, is the second time they try to trick me on what I ordered. Very sad behaviour from the owners.

I'm truly speechless and don't even know where to begin. This place is so authentic that I'm really sad I don't live nearby. I'm always disappointed to see that our spices are used sparingly so as not to scare away German customers. That was absolutely not the case here. A pure explosion of flavor! Everything was perfectly seasoned, delicious, super fresh, and truly homemade. The service was attentive and courteous, and the atmosphere was authentic. The portions were generous, and the price was incredibly fair. It brought back nostalgic memories for me and tasted like childhood. Please, please, please stay exactly as you are! ❤️‍🔥

Amazing Lebanese restaurant, shame about the limited seating, but that's another of the restaurant's unique features. Very good food and good value. Mouth-watering hummus.

Has this place always been here? Unassuming is right; I have never noticed it and actually was looking for the Esra across the street when I found it accidentally on Google Maps, and had to give it a try. Excellent food, a bit cramped maybe but entertaining, I'll be back!

Amazing food and excellent service! We had the Babel plate for 2 which is basically a sampling from all their signature dishes. Each and every piece on the plate was incredibly delicious and it was huge, we could barely finish it. The staff is super friendly and helpful and we got the food very fast. We can only recommend!

Pros: - Fast and friendly service - Fresh floral arrangements - Excellent location during the summer months Cons: - Especially with the meat, they're getting stingier every month - Shawarma is getting increasingly salty - Falafel is too dry and unfortunately no longer made fresh - The price/performance ratio is unfortunately no longer acceptable; please, please go back to the way things were! - Tables and chairs are sometimes falling apart; cleanliness is often questionable - Dining areas are far too cold

Huge portions, delicious food, well-seasoned lamb, Lebanese beer.

The glasses and plates were dirty like it was never been washed :( The food was not great either, chicken slices were literally burnt and you could taste ash and smoke in every bite :| I wouldnt go back to this restaurant, since i know many cheaper restaurants with way better quality and service in Berlin, offering the same cuisine. The only thing I liked were the flowers :)

A very good Lebanese restaurant, Babel offers dishes for all tastes. As a Middle Eastern eatery, the selection of vegetarian dishes is both extensive and delicious. I'm not a vegetarian, but if I had to become one, I'd definitely be eating here.

Excellent food. Quick service. It's self-service, so it takes a moment to figure it out. Then you observe the other people and copy, order, pay, grab your cutlery and the tray with bread, sit where there's space, and they clear the table (and also ask if everything went well 🥰). Clean bathroom. Excellent prices. Lots of garlic/onion, generous portions. Both vegetarian and non-vegetarian.

The food was completely overseasoned. The plates weren't cleared until we paid. We had to wait over 40 minutes for a takeaway sandwich.

The large vegetarian platter was delicious. The service was nice and friendly. It's quite crowded outside. The beer benches are very close together, so you're constantly in physical contact with the person behind you. I don't really need that. And you'll most likely always be sitting at a table with other people. I don't like it either, because there's no privacy. Maybe you can come up with something.

Visited the restaurant after checking the rating and it exceeded the expectations! Loved the different varieties in Biryani, plates and side dishes.. Quantity and quality was superb! I was impressed with the taste, fresh vegetables and the spice level.. Definitely one of the recommended restaurants in Berlin when it comes to taste.. Washroom was sparkling clean ! Everything is fresh and delicious. And there's always something to look at on Kastanienallee.

I went there with two friends around 9 PM, just looking to have a shawarma. As soon as we sat down, the waiter came over with the menu and, in a rather pushy and arrogant way, insisted that we order an expensive dish he claimed was “very good.” He spoke to us in English, clearly assuming we were tourists. I replied in German that we simply wanted three shawarmas. At first he flat-out said no, then after “checking inside,” he came back three minutes later and told us, without any explanation, that they couldn’t prepare them. The whole thing felt like they wanted to keep the table for someone easier to impress, and overcharge with overpriced dishes. To make matters worse, I noticed they charge €15 for a tiny plate with three falafel and a bit of salad. A real shame, not going there again

The men at the grill are all super friendly, nice, and efficient. But the older man who brings food to the tables whistled at me so rudely again today that I left the place without ordering. That's no way to treat customers. A real shame! The food was delicious, but unfortunately it's gotten more expensive. Falafel sandwich now €7.50

The vegetarian platter consists mostly of vegetables. There's not much falafel, hummus, etc. Some of the dishes are also rather tasteless. There were four of us, and we were rather dissatisfied.

The food was fantastic, and it looked healthy and varied. The service was also great; enthusiastic and friendly. And despite the restaurant's name (Babel), the staff understands just about every language :) I heard Italian, French, German, and English being spoken—it was fantastic. And definitely try the Mocha with Baklava! It's incredibly fresh (the filo pastry is still nice and crispy) and with the Lebanese coffee, it tastes delicious! I was given this as a gift because the coffee took a bit long, but that wasn't a problem for me. I thought the prices were very good, especially considering what you get: good food, fresh, and generous portions. Highly recommended!

Especially difficult for Berlin... It was a Friday night, so it's crowded, I understand. But when you treat customers so unfriendly, it takes away your appetite. The food tasted OK. But the radishes and pomegranate in the salad don't make up for the ridiculously small portion of €16 (!) for a shawarma plate. No fries, no rice, a cold, dry flatbread. A medium to small portion of meat. You can get MUCH more elsewhere for half the price. Just walk on and don't fall for it.

The food is okay, tasty, but nothing special. It tastes like any other Lebanese food. The price is too high for the quality.

I generally enjoy eating there, and have been for 10 years. The food usually tastes good, but that's about all that works there. 1. Restroom hygiene - judge for yourself. 2. The employees like to touch the (raw!) minced meat with their bare hands, then accept money; no hand washing - not everyone's cup of tea. 3. Sandwiches slapped together rather carelessly, greens regularly have 5-centimeter-long stems, and minced lamb often stays half-raw (apparently to save time). 4. Sandwiches rolled carelessly - 90% of the sauce spills out onto you, so you don't eat it, but it just gets all over the place. Suggestions, presented calmly and friendly, about how things could be done better, cleaner, and more hospitable, were met with unfounded, condescending, and aggressive reactions. A man with very few teeth introduced himself as the person in charge, didn't even attempt to listen, and then quickly became abusive. One star.

I never liked Arabic cuisine but I really like Babel, the first time I fell in love with Lebanese food! I came here five years ago with friends and I never forgot how good it is. I came back to Germany after five years and I came to babel. The food was amazing as always!!!!! Recommend the plate and shawarma wraps!

Very good Lebanese cuisine, unlike many "standard" restaurants that offer similar dishes on the menu. The dishes here are exceptional in quality, preparation, and presentation, and are incomparable. Therefore, I always enjoy coming back.

careful! today i paid with card and it was automatically charged with 3.85% additional „surcharge“. no information beforehand. and when i pointed it out (this is not legal in germany) they fighted about it. i hope they change this soon.

Delicious! Outdoor seating with fresh flowers arranged with care and grace, excellent quality food, plentiful and at the right price. We took the ''babel platte'' for 2 people which in addition to being super good was enough for 3 (possible take away if you can't finish). Quality kebab and roasted to perfection. It remains in your memory. I highly recommend it.

A real hit! The menu offers truly amazing dishes! Those who sit outside get a full view of the lively neighborhood. You can hear trams and cars all the time, but it's not extremely loud. We'd love to come back!

A fantastic Lebanese restaurant that’s well worth the wait—even if there’s a line, I highly recommend sticking it out. We tried the large mixed platter with a variety of dishes, and everything was exceptional, perfectly cooked and full of flavor. Service was fast, and the entire staff was kind and welcoming. Great value for money. If you go, definitely try the large combo platter to experience a bit of everything!

The food was average, and the prices were too expensive. The man who served us was so unfriendly that it made us feel uncomfortable to sit there.

Great tasty little place, good was pretty decent- however we went when they were pretty busy and that was a bit stressful even for us. Just trying to get the order in and find a proper table was a bit of challenge, finally they put us in a small table by the door so staff kept running behind our seats feeling like you may get bumped at any minute. We had the grill plate for two people. When quality and quantity come together, there's absolutely nothing to complain about. A kind-hearted and accommodating owner made our visit a truly memorable experience.

The food is OK, but a bit expensive in my opinion, one mixed plate around 22 euros. Unfortunately, It is not a place to relax and have a conversation, the music was extremely loud and the place is hectic 😞

Poor hygiene. As I went to the counter to pay, a man was doing a falafel sandwich and cashing money at the same time. Not washing hands after touching the money. This is level 1 of basic hygiene. Also the prices advertised outside and charged inside are not the same.

We were so surprised at how delicious it was. Great service. Even if nothing on the menu is vegan. They make so much delicious vegan food. One of the best Lebanese I've ever eaten. So the plate for 2 with fries And Babaganush for 4 people is easily enough... We'll be back.

Super expensive food for a few vegetables, very little meat and even less cheese. A platter for 2 people for 45 euros, on which was a feta cheese, halved for two people, two pieces of minced meat the size of a lighter, vegetables well distributed on the plate, which were quite sour, some not fresh either. We really felt that was an imposition. Then we sat right at the tram stop. Our table, which was 60x60 cm, maybe even just 50x50 cm, was right at the stop and on the side of the road. That's why we were given breakfast plates so we could transfer our food from the plate to the plate. People on the street walked right past our table, or anyone waiting for the tram stood right next to us. All the passengers who got off the tram also walked past us. I've never experienced that before. An experience that will stay in your memory. The waiters were nice but not particularly attentive. We had to wait a long time for subsequent orders or to be able to pay, even though the waiters sometimes had nothing to do. Then many Indians drove their scooters onto the sidewalk to make deliveries and also stopped next to us. The noise and the exhaust fumes were annoying. Every few minutes the trams passed us noisily from both directions. The distance is a maximum of 4 meters, more like 3 meters. Everything is really big cinema.

Real Lebanese cuisine full of flavor and taste. The owner has decorated his restaurant with magnificent flowers which give a very rural feel. For the cuisine it is excellent I recommend the 10 dish plate with great value for money. For the service he speaks French so ordering your items is easy.

We ordered the grill plate for 2 which normally didn’t include any falafel. We really wanted to have some so we asked the waiter if we could choose falafel as a side dish to the plate. The waiter was so nice that he made an exception for us.☺️ The food was AMAZING. We weren’t disappointed and the portions were great too. We were full. 😊

Could be tasty, but not so fresh

Nice place with a pretty cool feature - a lot of flowers inside and along the terrace. During my last visit I ordered Babel plate which has 10 types of food on it, basically try all we have option which I like as a concept. Majority of the dishes was tasty, but the plate feels overpriced- 24 euro. And it’s not that it is that big that it is hard to finish for one person. I think the ideal dish there are sandwiches with minced meat or chicken, fair price and good taste.

This must be one of the best Lebanese restaurants ever! I’ve traveled a lot in Europe and I’ve come to this level of cordiality and welcoming very very rarely! A must go in Berlin

Amazing true libanese taste and great falafels

The food is 5 stars, very tasty, but the waiter is a boor. He is insolent and rude to women, without respect. (We were there yesterday at 18:00).
