The doner kebab isn't recommended. The price/performance ratio is more in line with a doner kebab from a festival. Very small, with little sauce and vegetables.

The doner kebab wrap was only slightly larger than a McDonald's cheeseburger, and even then, it was only half full. The veal was almost cold.

I've had a doner kebab here for the first time in a long time. Unfortunately, it was very small. I ordered a doner kebab with everything, but the tomatoes and lettuce in the display weren't included. Something has to change 🤔

A few years ago, the place was really good – presumably, there's been a change of ownership since then. The doner kebab itself was edible, but definitely not enjoyable. I ordered a doner roll and a doner kebab wrap for my colleague. The "doner man" simply forgot to put sauce on my doner wrap. The meat not only looked weird, but also had almost no flavor. The salad was obviously no longer fresh and was swimming in water – and that's exactly how it tasted – see picture. They charged €1 (!) for an extra serving of corn – completely excessive in my opinion – the other additional options didn't look any better. The portion size was also below average. About my colleague's wrap: When it was being prepared, I seriously wondered if the "doner man" had made a mistake and accidentally used a children's doner wrap – but it was probably the normal size. I've never seen such a small doner wrap. In terms of taste, my colleague would give it 1.5 out of 5 stars. I'd rather avoid the store.

Unfortunately, this was the worst falafel roll I've ever eaten. The falafel wasn't freshly made, the bread was incredibly dry, there was only one sauce, and overall, it didn't taste good at all.

I actually really like the chicken doner kebab, but today the waitress seemed to be having a bad day. The bread wasn't even toasted and was soggy, the meat was cut cold from the skewer, and the young man seemed completely unmotivated. It's a shame, but I'll probably give it another chance.

I definitely can't recommend it. I had a chicken doner kebab. It was small and tasted okay. The bread was dry and fell apart while I was eating it. The meat and salad fell out of the bottom while I was eating it. There are much better doner kebabs in Hanover.

Absolutely outrageous! The meat wasn't freshly cut and was cold in the container. The salad was already browning and tasted anything but good. By far the worst kebab. We felt more than sick afterward and were stuck in the bathroom. 🤢 ...never again

We were there today to try two rolls with veal and chicken. We won't be returning. The meat and chicken were undercooked and stale. Both of us suffered from stomach aches after eating them.

I took a kebab roll with chicken and lamb with me today. Unfortunately, the role lacked spice. As if the meat wasn't salted and seasoned enough, and unfortunately the sauces couldn't make it any better. The service was still super nice. Maybe the review will help to change something for the customer. I'll give it another chance at some point.

The people there were unfriendly

The Dürüm was far too dry in terms of bread. Due to the limited choice of sauces and the rather dry/tough meat, eating this Dürüm was more of a struggle than a pleasure. It's a shame, because both the store and the employees have a cozy atmosphere and are always friendly.

I was there with colleagues last week and ended up with food poisoning. The crispy chicken wasn't fresh at all.

All pasta is homemade and delicious, always friendly service, best kebab for 25 years!

I had a kebab there. Unfortunately I have to say that the meat was relatively dry. There was also no sauce, as I know it, spread on the inside of the bread. So the whole thing was generally very dry. Unfortunately not recommended for me.

The (vegetarian) food at Baba tastes excellent! I can't say that the service made me feel welcome. But because the food is so good, I keep going there with my daughter. Overall, a clear recommendation! Update: unfortunately the service no longer worked for me in the long term. And even though the food there tasted so good, we won't go there anymore... 😢

Ordered 2 kebab bags to take away. One of them was vegetarian, but still had small pieces of meat in it. Both were ordered without onions and served with hot sauce. Both had lots of onions and one had no sauce. The meat was also very dry and kind of musty. Very disappointing and definitely not a second time.

Unfortunately one of the worst kebabs I've eaten in a long time. Bread dry and tasteless, contents 3/4 salad where the red cabbage was overly acidic, the carrots were dry and the iceberg lettuce was partly already oxidized. There was hardly any chicken meat and it only tasted of salt. Maybe the cooling should be checked. Unfortunately, the mixed salad followed the whole thing. Price €6 per kebab and €7.50 for salad is okay, but it's better to have better quality and pay a little more.

Unfortunately really disappointing and unloving. The starter was fermented and could be disposed of straight away at home, the falafel was hard and bland (as was everything else that came with it) and the fries were fried remarkably quickly, which also destroyed this "last hope". The bread was quite good, but it doesn't really stand out anymore. The gentleman who served us didn't give us the feeling that he had any interest in serving us (who arrived there in a good mood) - rather the opposite. A lot would have to happen for us to come back again.

Wow, one of the worst kebabs I've ever eaten and I've traveled a lot within Germany and eaten a lot of different kebabs. But this one is underground. 6€ for a kebab pocket with the cheapest veal, that would still be okay if the meat didn't taste bad overnight. Sheep's cheese costs an extra euro, okay some people do that, but charging corn and all other salads with an additional €1 each is a bit cheeky. Unfortunately, the kebab itself was extremely small and I'm not someone who prefers a full kebab, but that was really nothing and unfortunately even less because I had to throw away the last quarter because the Ezme had such a pungent acrid - not spicy - taste that the kebab as a whole Unfortunately it was inedible. 1/10.

The kebabs were cold and didn't taste like anything. The meat was not fresh and some of it was still raw. The employee was very motivated - NOT!!! The preparation failed. There were very few sauces to choose from, one was already forming a skin. Then the meat was simply put into the dry bread and just a little bit of sauce was added on top. The last two thirds of the kebabs were very dry. For the price, the kebab is very small. Everything tasted very salty. I will not visit the store again and do not recommend it to anyone.

I've actually been a regular customer for years, but unfortunately the quality has increasingly declined in the last few months. Once a starter with yoghurt was bad, the next time the Adana Kebap was inedible (the meat must have been very old) and now the ratio of toppings to dough in the pide is no longer that good. I would like to give you another chance, let's see!

Doner kebab is delicious, but card payment is not possible. This is absolutely no longer acceptable in 2024.

Unfortunately I was very disappointed. Fries were not edible because they were fried far too short. The vegan starter plate included tzatziki, cheese and salad with yoghurt or cream. Unfortunately I only noticed it when I got home.

The quality of a kebab bag depends on the bread. The bread reminded me of supermarket burger buns. There is still room for improvement.

Frische Zutaten, freundliches Personal, tolles Ambiente!

Vorweg: Eine Dönertasche kostete hier bereits vor Covid und Inflation seine 6 €, denke mal die Besitzer wollten es als "Premium" Döner anpreisen. Vergleichbare Dönerläden haben ihren Döner zur gleichen Zeit für 3,50 € verkauft. Nun aber zu den wichtigen Dingen: Die Tasche selbst ist klein. Das Fleisch war komplett verbrannt und komplett übersalzen. Zudem sehr fettig. Ich weiß nicht, wie Leute dort essen gehen können. Als Kateressen kann ich es mi vorstellen, da die Salze und das Fett den ganzen Alkohol aufsaugen. Als ich in den Laden gekommen bin, wollte ich eigentlich sofort umdrehen, als ich den Spieß gesehen habe, aber ich war spät dran und vor mir waren noch Leute, weswegen ich dachte, dass eventuell die das verbrannte Fleisch kriegen. Die Salça war zu bitter und kaum scharf, weswegen der komplette Döner von dem bitteren Geschmack übertönt wurde. Im Endeffekt hab ich mir Dreiviertel des Döners reingezwungen und dann den Rest weggeworfen, als ich beim übersalzenen Fettfleisch angekommen bin. 1/10, würde ich kaum empfehlen und nie wieder hingehen.

Früher ein toller Laden, heute eher Durchschnitt. Die Preise passen nicht mehr zur Qualität. Schade. Dönerbuden gibt es genug, das Baba war einst Mal mehr.

Gestern einen Falafel im Brot getestet. Der Preis von 5,50 Euro ist zwar noch soweit ok, aber ich komme kein zweites Mal hierher. Rotkohl, rohe Karottenstifte usw. Die Falafel an sich waren ok, aber keinerlei Schärfe, nichts. Mir persönlich einfach zu dröge und lieblos. Ich wurde gefragt, ob ich mit allem möchte, was ich bejaht habe. Wenn mein Falafel mit allem war, dann gute Nacht. Ich komme definitiv nicht wieder. Humus habe ich vergeblich gesucht, richtig lasch, so komplett ohne etwas scharfe Würze.

Das Essen schmeckt zum wiederholten Male nicht mehr so gut wie noch vor ein paar Jahren. Preise sind für die immer weiter nachlassende Qualität auch zu hoch. Es war vorerst das letzte Mal, dass ich mir Essen bei Baba geholt habe.

Wir waren heute hier spontan essen wir hatten eine Dönnerpizza eine pide mit hack und ei und eine kleine pommes. Die Dönnerpizza hat sehr fade geschmeckt, Bei der pide wurde das Ei vergessen auf Nachfrage hat er dann noch ein Ei drauf gemacht doch das war noch fast ganz Roh was meiner meinung überhaupt nicht geht da durch war die pide leider fast ungenießbar alles in einem würde ich das Restaurant nicht weiter empfehlen ( Ich bin gelernter Koch)

Leider haben sie die Preise erhöht. Mache momentan alle, ja, aber Baba hat zeitgleich auch noch die Portionen verkleinert.

Wir gehen schon seit Jahren zu Baba. Das Essen ist wirklich sehr gut. Sie haben auch mal etwas mehr als nur Döner. Das finden wir auch toll und wenn man Glück hat bekommt man am Ende einen Tee geschenkt. Seitdem sie umgebaut haben ist das Ambiente dort sogar noch gemütlicher. Die Preise sind zwar deutlich gestiegen, aber durch die Inflation hat das ja irgendwie jedes Unternehmen machen müssen. Wir können das Restaurant wärmstens empfehlen!!!

Baba ist ein herzlicher Laden. Die beiden Brüder führen den Laden mit Herz und Freude. Das Essen hat eine gute Qualität, selbstgemachtes Brot inklusive. Ein Tee ☕ beim Warten ist hier selbstverständlich.

Ich gehe nicht mehr hin. Die Qualität ist nachgelassen und die Menge auch obwohl die Preisen angestiegen sind.

Leider nicht mehr ansatzweise so gut wie noch vor 2-3 Jahren. Auf den Lahmacun neben dem Fleisch nur Gurke und Tomate nicht mehr so einfach möglich. Als ich dann sagte na dann machen Sie eben nur das Fleisch drauf, hat der Mitarbeiter dann (sichtlich genervt) Gurke und Tomate geschnitten. Geschmacklich leider echt schlechter geworden.

Am 22 Januar 2023 zum Mittagessen hier gewesen. Freundlicher Empfang, Bestellung und zeitnah das Essen serviert. Geschmacklich war es sehr gut. Was mir persönlich nicht gefallen hat, es war mir zu kalt am Sitzplatz, für ein gemütliches Wohlgefühl hätten es vier Grad mehr sein müssen. Parkplätze gibts wie typisch in Hannover nur wenn man etwas sucht.

Wie haben hier bis jetzt immer gut gegessen. Die letzte Dönertasche war nicht so lecker, da hatte ich das Gefühl, dass ein anderes Fleisch benutzt wird als früher. Aber das war bestimmt ein Ausrutscher.

Essen war gut und lecker, Preisleistung gut! Sehr nettes Personal, wir kommen wieder.

Das erste und letzte Mal. Zigarrenböreks waren okay, die Füllung des Lahamcuns auch aber der Lahmacun selbst war so verbrannt von außen, dass man den kaum essen konnte. Das zu verkaufen geht gar nicht. Außerdem sind insgesamt fast 15 Euro deutlich zu viel dafür.

Sitzplätze drinnen wie draussen. Anständige Portionsgröße mit hohem Fleischanteil. Die Speisekarte war etwas schmuddelig und der Tisch hätte abgewischt werden müssen. Das Essen war vom Preis-Leistungsverhältnis o.k..

Fantastische Falaffel, knackig frische Salate, sehr leckerer türkischer Tee. Das Personal ist super freundlich und aufmerksam. Der umgestalteten Innenbereich lädt zum Verweilen ein. Baba ist seit vielen Jahren eine feste Institution in der Südstadt. Undebingt empfehlenswert!

Ein sehr schöner Laden. Die Mitarbeiter sind sehr nett. Ich habe seit langem nicht mehr so einen Leckeren Döner gegessen. Ich werde hier definitiv noch einmal hier essen auch wenn der Laden 50km von mir zuhause entfernt ist.

Ich war bereits einige Male hier und habe Essen abgeholt. Beim Service habe ich von unfreundlich bis "nett" alles gehabt. Die Falafel sind nicht so gut. Die Pommes werden auf dem Weg nach Hause weich, weil der Dampf nicht aus der Packung entweichen kann. Der Salat ist okay.
