Now it's time: gotta update this. Drop by spontaneously and get a seat on the beautiful terrace with a view of the National Theater at 5 p.m. Service impeccable, friendly, accommodating. I had a small appetizer and a bowl (which is actually only available until 5:00 p.m., but was also made for me at 5:15 p.m.). Food was really good. Ambiance very nice. Thank you! - - - I would have liked to have given more stars here because the staff were very friendly and the restaurant is sophisticatedly designed and in a great location. But unfortunately a few things didn't fit. We were here for a business lunch, had made a reservation and were on time. There wasn't much going on when we arrived. Everything dragged on quite a bit. The two starters came relatively quickly (two types of dumplings), were of good quality, but the portions were a bit small. But it took half an eternity before the main course (udon noodles with tofu and wok vegetables from the lunch menu). Both neighboring tables, with guests who had come after us, were presented with their main courses earlier. Unfortunately, the main courses were also relatively small and tasted rather average. For the ambitious prices you simply expect more. Nevertheless, I'm giving it three stars because I can't judge the entire restaurant based on this one lunchtime experience. I couldn't try the sushi either. At least visually it looked very good. Maybe I'll try my luck for dinner next time. Or in summer, when you can sit beautifully on the terrace.

We visited the Azuki Restaurant before our ballet visit. We sat down for coffee and cake. The arrangement of the sakura cake was beautiful. The taste was very tasty, but visually it was a feast for the eyes. The service was nice, polite and accommodating. We just had problems finding a good spot at first.

The personnel is very friendly and courteous. The food tastes excellent and the ambience is appealing. Overall, a highly recommended restaurant.

Not recommended to eat out. Staff was really strange and €33 for 9 chicken nuggets is really too much. Even a 0.75ml bottle that you can buy from Rewe for €1.50 costs an astonishing €7.90, very bad for the price a massive waste of money

Very expensive but also very boring sushi without any character, not bad but very very bland and average. Even the wine was bland and watery. Definitely not worth the completely insane price. Pretty disappointing.

Very nice, large restaurant with a very nice bar area with an outside terrace with a view of the opera on Maximilian Straße at Josefsplatz. The food and drinks menu is very good. The service was very friendly and professional. The ambience was very excellently decorated with the high ceilings and the open kitchen. Recommended after the opera or after a stroll through the city

Is currently the best Asian-Fusion restaurant in Munich. With a prime location in Munich and a great menu, Azuki leaves nothing to be desired. From sushi to wok dishes to fish and meat, everything is beautifully prepared and tastes fantastic. Prices are high depending on the location and interior, but it's still worth it. The service is very attentive and open to all requests. The tables could be a little more spaced apart, otherwise you can look into your neighbor's plates, but the restaurant itself is simply very nicely designed. We'd love to come back.

We really liked it! Very cool atmosphere and since the weather was good, almost all guests sat outside, so we had heavenly peace inside. Very attractively prepared dishes, which we really enjoyed. Good selection of sake, which we enjoyed trying. Service attentive and always concerned about our well-being. Always happy to come here.

Amazing food meets great service here. I have been here twice, once for lunch and once for dinner, both times food was great. Please reserve early and note that as the restaurant is just opposite the opera, there is no nearby street parking ( or very difficult to get one)

We had a wonderful dining experience at a high-end Japanese restaurant in Munich a while back. The food exceeded our expectations, especially the fresh and delicious sashimi variation. Every dish we ordered was beautifully presented and perfect for sharing during our reunion dinner. The restaurant offered a wide variety of food options, including not only cold plates like sushi and sashimi but also warm dishes like dumplings, wok, curry, and grilled options. The service we received was outstanding, and the decor was a tasteful blend of Asian and contemporary styles. We loved every aspect of the restaurant and highly recommend it to others.

Unfortunately the food didn't live up to expectations. The staff was super nice, but the quality of the food was nothing special and not really worth the price compared to many other similar restaurants in Munich. A pity.

Extraordinary, nothing common We were there with 4 people on a Friday evening for a birthday dinner. The reservation and reception went smoothly. The ambience is appropriate and the service attentive. The starters we ordered (dumplings, sushi and summer rolls) were top. Taste, presentation really outstanding. We also made the right choice with the main courses (salmon, red curry with duck and fried rice). Fantastic in taste, perfectly prepared and, worth mentioning, large portions. Price-performance justified. Thanks to the team for the lovely evening! Was fun.

We made a reservation for 5 people, including 2 children, on a Friday evening. The reservation went smoothly and communication was always perfect. The ambience was unique and so was the service. We enjoyed various sushi variations as starters and main courses, bao buns and other meat dishes. Everything was excellent. The dishes were prepared to perfection and both the presentation and taste were unparalleled. The desserts were particularly noteworthy; they were a delight both in terms of taste and appearance. It's really hard for me to put into words the uniqueness of our experience there. Thanks for the perfect evening and see you soon!

For the fourth time, we spent a very nice evening in a very pleasant atmosphere. The service is always very competent and fast. Very little wait. The organization is perfect. Each dish is a real treat. The cooking, the flavors, the presentation, everything is always of high quality. We are fans!! Regarding the prices, they are indeed high, but for the quality of food and service, we happily pay this price. The wines and cocktails are also to be recommended. The only negative point is that the reservation is only valid for two hours.

We could have saved ourselves a visit to the restaurant. Fish in the sushi had a distinctly bad aftertaste. Papaya salad was very dry. Anyone who has ever been to Thailand would be very disappointed. At least the food is beautifully presented. The waiter was very pushy and often tried to sell us alcoholic drinks that we didn't want. Absolutely unacceptable for this price range.

Very much a food-as-art experience, the dishes at Azuki are masterfully prepared. They elevate sushi staples, such as the negitoro and Azuki rolls, with intense, innovative splashes of flavor. Other dishes, like the key lime pie, are wholly re-imagined renditions with creative flourishes of form and texture that are stunning in their presentation and a delight on the palette. Service is attentive and the drink list is well curated to match the menu.

The food, especially the soft shell crab, was exceptional, even for someone who isn't keen on seafood. The venue had stunning decor and offered English menus, great for non-German speakers. The lack of background music made for a very quiet atmosphere, so a little background music would have been nice. Overall, it's a good spot for a fancy date but be prepared for higher prices.

Location: it is in the city, not easy for parking but nearby a park house. (4.5) Environment: the environment is very nice. High end, good for date. (5) Food: the food quality is okay, but not surprisingly excellent. (4.5) Service: nothing to complain about. The stuffs are nice and fine. (4.5) Price: it is very expensive, it doesn’t worth the value of the moneys (3) Overall: 4.2 I think I won’t go again for dinner.

UPD: 3rd visit - — what’s up with the soy sauce? Apparently in high demand as this night saucer kept migrating from our table to another twice!😄 Outstanding interior with several rooms, ideal for a dinner date or special occasion, hands down one of the most stylish restaurants here. Attentive service. Good selection of japanese and vietnamese dishes, fresh ingredients, interesting cocktail card (try the matcha dream - cocktail with vodka). Prices well above average, count around 100 pro pax. Location is definitely playing its part, but all worth it, especially if you have been to other asian restaurants in Munich 😄

The atmosphere is very chic, but the price of the food is too expensive. You probably pay more for the location of the restaurant. But what really doesn't work is that if you make a reservation online you have to leave after two hours. This is not justified given the prices! We called specifically for our second visit and reserved for 3.5 hours. Here we were asked to leave after three hours with a very unkind apology. The staff was nice, but if you tip too little you won't get a farewell! Definitely won't go here again! A pity...

Azuki was one of my absolute favorite restaurants in Munich. Unfortunately, we have recently been unable to reserve a table for longer than 2 or 3 hours (in the evening with a turnover of 350 euros for two people!), the staff is scurrying back and forth in total stress. It's just not a nice atmosphere anymore. The starter arrived 20 minutes late! We hadn't finished the starter yet when the next course arrived?! As a guest you are rushed while eating. We didn't even have time for dessert or were asked to eat dessert at the bar. 😂 Simply ridiculous! Eating out looks different. The location is very nice but the service and the interaction internally and with the guests is subpar. After I complained through the flower that it didn't feel good, they didn't even say goodbye to us. Totally unable to deal with feedback and criticism. Despite high sales and tips. For us the Azuki is dead! Yesterday evening completely shot the bird! For the prices it's an absolute disaster and a disgrace. Avoid this place!

Here you pay a lot for the location and the ability to see and be seen. The taste of the food is average and way too expensive. In other Asian restaurants you eat better and for half the price.

On one of Munich’s most renowned city centre streets, this establishment caters to those seeking a luxurious shopping and travel experience. Its contemporary design, spacious rooms, terrace, and prime location exude an air of sophistication. Nevertheless, in my view, the food and beverages offer poor value. I recommend opting for Vietnamese dishes or salads instead of sushi rolls. The beef salad, with its refreshing and contrasting sweet-and-sour notes, stands out, while the sushi is rather underwhelming—lacking both bold flavours and delicacy. The dim sum, as well as their stir-fry dish, tastes average. The Shiitake mushrooms stir fry tastes painfully salty. Additionally, the cocktails are rather expensive. Furthermore, the staff displays a lack of attentiveness and is not particularly child-friendly. so overall Azuki makes you feel that you are paying for its location and atmosphere instead of good food. Once again, Munich hosts numerous “sushi” restaurants owned by Vietnamese. Many of them lack the know-how to craft sushi rolls in a creative and enjoyable manner, let alone authentically. It is as dull and unsatisfying as any sushi counter in supermarkets.

Dommage que l’on ne puisse pas mettre + que 5 étoiles ! Le restaurant est juste magnifique, le personnel très agréable. Les plats…sans parler de leur beauté sont juste excellent ! Chaque plat que nous avons mangé était incroyablement bons. Rien à dire mise à part que la perfection est la description de ce restaurant !

Essen und Service top Licht ist teilweise wirklich schlecht und unangenehm- volle Strahler von oben mit Blendlicht am Tisch - für das Preisniveau nicht akzeptabel. Ebenso Tische tw. nicht angemessen mit viel Durchgangsverkehr am Eingang, tw. zu eng, oder direkt mit Feuermelder im Tischambiente - das passt nicht zum Preisniveau. Würde jetzt erstmal andere Restaurants vorziehen wo das Ambiente und Licht passt.

Ein wunderschönes Restaurant in einem stilvollen Ambiente im historischen Palais an der Oper. Geschmacklich als auch optisch einmalig und absolut zu empfehlen! Preislich etwas höher angesiedelt, aber für die Lage normal und immer einen Besuch lohnenswert, egal ob zum Lunch oder Dinner. Mein Favorit: Maishuhn Karaage Don.

Best Vietnamese restaurant in Munich! Yes it is pricey but the food is good, service is great and the atmosphere amazing! For a fancy night out, definitely recommended.

The restaurant was recommended to us by the Amex restaurant program, so we decided to give it a try. Service was 10/10 from the start. We were showed a table in a corner but asked to switch to the more open area without any problems. Our waiter (Duc Anh) was attentive and always around when we needed something. When they brought out our food, the supervisor explained all the sushi on the plate. Sushi we ordered was 10/10: - Toro Sashimi (6pcs) - Soft Shell Crab Roll - Sake Aburi Nigiri - Ebi Roll - Azuki Roll - Snow Crab Roll Dessert we rate about 7/10: - Lychee sorbet, Pandan ice cream, white peach sorbet - Black sesame mille feuille with jasmine ice cream (the cream felt heavy & mille feuille not crunchy nor very soft) Not sure if ice creams and sorbets are homemade. Pandan ice cream however was 10000/10!! Drinks: - 0,2l Sauvignon Blanc - 0,75l water - 1 Lychee Spritz Bill was 205,50€ excl. tip. Would come back for sushi, but not for the main dishes or dumplings since they are mostly the same as other asian fusion restaurants, just for a higher price.

Das Personal war freundlich schnell und professionell! Die Atmosphäre war schick und entspannt! Leider ist das Essen mittelmäßig bis enttäuschend! Zum viel zu großen Schoko Lava Kuchen gab es nur eine viel zu kleine Kugel Eis! Auch die Hauptgerichte waren leider für den Preis geschmacklich traurig! Schade

Es war kein Tisch für eine Einzelperson im Angebot, der mir angenehm gewesen wäre - es war 15:30h und nur 6 Tische waren besetzt !!!! Ein sehr unfreundliches „Entgegenkommen“ des Empfangschefs ! Ein wunderschönes Restaurant mit sehr guter Küche im Herzen Münchens. Ich bin oft in Asien und traue mir ein Urteil über asiatisches Essen zu. Deshalb kann ich dieses Restaurant nur empfehlen. Im Sommer kann man auch draußen sitzen. Einziger Wermutstropfen, die schöne Terrasse geht nach Nordwesten und damit leider erst spät Sonnenschein.

Kind of a 'Munich fancy' place. Food is alright, cocktails are good and service is attentive. It's like the top level of the pho+sushi phenomenon that you observe everywhere in Germany, as entrepreneurial Vietnamese immigrants capitalize on the Western appetite for Japanese cuisine and the Western lack of knowledge of Eastern culture. Essentially, to them, any Asian can serve sushi. Beautiful interiors, no question. Tiny portions at a fairly hefty price. And the taste, apart from the fried eggplant dish, were pretty average. I would say skip the Japanese offerings and stick to the Vietnamese. Really nice cocktails!

Falls Sie mal authentische Asiatische Küche probieren wollen, sind Sie hier genau richtig! Das Curry kommt dem original in Thailand wirklich sehr nahe! Das Sushi war fantastisch und eine kulinarische Genussreise. Das Ambiente ist sehr stilvoll und mit Herz fürs Detail. Preis-Leistung stimmt. Man muss damit rechnen hier etwas mehr auszugeben, bereut allerdings keinen Cent!

Wirklich nicht günstig, aber wir sind auch wirklich gut bekocht und perfekt bedient worden. So ein schönes Ambiente habe ich selten erlebt.
