Our second visit was also impressive across the board: Centrally located directly opposite the Opera House, Azuki boasts a stylish and very tasteful interior. It's especially lovely to sit on the covered outdoor terrace and take in the view of the Opera Square. The service is very friendly and happy to explain the diverse menu (sushi, wok dishes, bowls). The dishes themselves are creative and extremely delicious: I've never tasted the "Crispy Tofu" like this before – a true taste experience. Azuki is an excellent place to enjoy a light lunch in the city center or a large meal with friends in the evening. The prices are certainly a bit higher (and "typical Munich"), but not excessive.

We tried a variety of dishes, and everything was very good. Nice restaurant, although the back could be a bit brighter. It's a great place to have a conversation. We'd love to come back.

I ordered tempura sushi, bao steak, dynamite shrimp and salmon. The food was really delicious.

Went here for dinner and it was quite busy and loud, i recommend making a reservation as it gets full. My favorite was the Soft shell crab (a solid 10!), grilled octopus and the US ribeye steak 🥩 The service was also commendable! sushi 10/10 according to my bf! wagyu enoki rolls 6/10 we expected more from this but it was not so special Shaomai 6/10 everything else 10/10!

I ate at Azuki for the first time today, and I'm absolutely thrilled. The service was excellent; Alexander really made sure we were satisfied. I asked for a cocktail that wasn't on the menu. And even though it wasn't available, he asked the bar for two alternatives. And it turned out to be a Lychee Martini – I hadn't heard of it before, but it was fantastic. The sushi was excellent, very tasty, and the fish was tender. And I can only rave about the dessert. See the pictures – it's a dream.

A truly great restaurant! Great location and stunning interior design. Very attentive staff with excellent service. Azuki has a really good selection of different dishes. My wife and I, as you would on a first visit, tried the entire menu. Sushi Special - A simple combination of California rolls and nigiris. Fresh fish, high-quality ingredients, and great soy sauce. Shrimp Tempura - Crispy without being greasy. The shrimp are top-notch. Bao Burger Fillet of Beef - An extremely unusual bun. I'd never had a bao burger before, but I was pleasantly surprised. The fillet was outstanding. Salmon with Ginger Teriyaki Sauce - Mega salmon, perfectly cooked. The sauce rounds everything off. A strong harmony on the plate. Crispy Duck - The weakest dish on the table, but still good. The duck lacked a bit of bite and umami. We will definitely be back and look forward to the rest of the menu.

A very well-maintained restaurant with a very pleasant ambiance. The noise level was low, despite being busy. My cocktail (Matcha Dream) and my Shaomai dumplings were excellent. The service was very attentive. I will definitely return.

Worked a weekend in Munich and needed a quick lunch on Saturday. This place is located in luxury shopping area. It’s a bit hidden from the outside en the restaurant itself feels and looks expensive. It was busy inside. Service is normal, not very special. They have plenty of choices like sushi, bowls and soups. They serve high quality tuna and the prices match. I chose a bowl with noodles and beef. The plate looked beautiful and the taste was okay, not exceptional and the price did not match the experience. €24 for a bowl with a pinch of noodles, some lettuce, lots of different onions, sliced carrots, cucumber, crushed peanuts and way to much mint leaves. Maybe 60 grams of beef. Overall not worth the price and it looked better than it tasted. My colleague had a shrimp bowl for €25 and mint tea for €13! Most ridiculous overpriced tea ever and I live in Amsterdam.

Food, service, ambience was great. Everything was perfect.

Food was waaay better than we expected. With this environment and price, one would’ve expected to pay premium just for that. The food turned out quite good too! Balanced taste, has wok-hei for the udon we ordered, the viet vermicelli noodle salad was very authentic too. Generous portion. Was recommended by Loro Piana’s sales that the store is opened by a viet owner that brought in chefs from Japan so I can imagine the viet and Japanese food must have been amazing and authentic.

The food was fantastic, value for money absolutely adequate. Overall it was relatively narrow and loud, but that is only a minor criticism.

We went to this restaurant for the first time yesterday following a recommendation and left disappointed. There were two of us who were hungry and had ordered several dishes (including starters). What happened next has never happened to us before. We had ordered 8 different things for two and in 15 minutes everything was on the table, we couldn't enjoy the food for a second and everything got cold. After 5 minutes we had 5 dishes on the table and asked the waiter to please wait as we couldn't enjoy the food and we weren't in a canteen here. He still served everything and apologized that the chef must have done something wrong. We were stunned and pointed at the clock and explained to him that we had been sitting here for exactly 15 minutes and that 8!food had been put on the table. I can understand that the table is given away again on a Saturday evening; the internet says you have 2 hours. Apart from this outrageousness, the food is average. Ambiance and location really good, unfortunately not enough.

Loved the fried rice with duck the most! And this desert with pears was amazing! I would love to try other desserts from the menu, sounds amazing.

The team is great and the food is above average, but Azuki is still absurdly overpriced. The pricing is not just excessive, it is chaotic: that a huge plate of ribs costs the same as two simple summer rolls is wild. This makes it impossible to gauge portion size and therefore a satisfying amount of food to order. The food is very well prepared and presented. The deserts especially have some theatrical flair, but are mostly very heavy. You can also count on the team to provide thoughtful, detail-oriented hospitality from the moment you arrive.

The service was very good, the sushi was very successful, with thin layers of rice. Although not the best thing I ate in Munich. But definitely in the top 3. The map was manageable. There are vegetarian options but not that many. The stir-fries were also delicious and very fresh. The vegetarian pan dishes in particular are served with exotic mushrooms, which makes the “simpler dishes” something special.☺️😊 All in all a great restaurant and a very tasty and nice visit.☺️☺️The show kitchen is also a highlight.👍☺️

A real highlight in a very prominent location in Munich. We were a bit skeptical at first, but we weren't disappointed at all. The service was first class and the food was very good too! Only the tables were a little close together, but that was bearable. We ordered vegetarian and the mushrooms in particular were phenomenal! The citrus cheesecake as dessert was particularly noteworthy. We'll definitely be back!

I went to this restaurant with my friends today. Everything was really nice: the food, the cozy atmosphere until we wanted to pay. The waiter tried to force us to give him the tip!!! Absolutely outrageous!!! Will I go there again? No

The pulpo was tender with good roasted flavors. However, the side dishes, neutral-tasting polenta and two dollops of sauce, are not enough. I was disappointed. Some vegetables would have gone well with the dish. The staff, on the other hand, was very friendly and the drinks tasted quite good. The ambience is very stylish.

We were there for the first time and were very impressed by the atmosphere - it was really successful. We also really enjoyed the food. The drinks, especially the cocktails, weren't quite our cup of tea, but the wine was definitely recommended. The service was friendly and the waiting time for the order was completely fine. One small point of criticism, however, was that we ordered a cocktail without alcohol and also wanted a shot of vodka. The service employee explained to us that this was not possible. We couldn't really understand that. She said she didn't know what it would taste like, but it wasn't her problem since we could drink whatever we wanted. In our opinion, employees should respond to guests' wishes and be flexible if necessary. The portions were generous and the food tasted really sensational. Thank you for the experience!

Every dish is perfectly balanced, freshly prepared and simply outstanding in taste. Our highlights: - Crunchy Beef – crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, with an incredibly good sauce. 🤤 - Tuna cubes – an absolute explosion of flavor, perfectly seasoned and served to perfection. - Sushi Spicy Tuna as a starter – a must for everyone. - Matcha Dream and Litchi Spell – two cocktails we can highly recommend. The Azuki is a good address to enjoy upscale, pan-Asian cuisine in Munich. The fish dishes were very tasty. The black cod was of excellent quality and cooked to perfection. The interior design is elegant as well as cozy. The service was excellent, extremely attentive and yet discreet.

“Come for the decor, leave for the service”. Asian food for people who have no clue what Asian food is. Service for people who enjoy chronically bad and poorly trained serving staff. Aside from the beauty of the location, as an eating establishment it offers little for high prices. Add to this a 2 hour turnaround and even after one of our parties meal arrived 30 minutes after the rest of the group had finished we had to argue to get another 30 minutes grace. Save your money and your rage.

I always have the pleasure of dining at this fantastic Asian restaurant in Munich and I am absolutely satisfied. As soon as you enter the restaurant you are greeted by the stylish, cozy atmosphere and the friendly staff. The menu offers a great selection of authentic Asian dishes - from freshly prepared sushi creations to spicy curries and delicious dim sums. The ingredients are always fresh, perfectly balanced and appetizingly prepared. Particularly noteworthy is the excellent service – attentive, quick and very accommodating. Here you feel completely at home as a guest. Only the menus and drink menus could be renewed/replaced, they are already worn out and greasy, worn out.

Unfortunately, the meal was under time pressure (time window 2 hours) which took away the enjoyment of dinner. If you are presented with the bill after 1 hour 45, three courses are only possible in a quick run. That says everything about the guest's appreciation. Once and never again.

Beautiful restaurant with delicious Asian dishes! Did you eat pepper that was too spicy? Glass of milk. No room for your bag? Extra stool included. The mochi ice cream for dessert (specifically the passion fruit-mango flavour) is highly recommended. All in all: great!

The best crispy duck I've ever had with a red Thai curry. The sushi was also of great quality. The papaya salad is also highly recommended. Vegetarians and vegans will also find what they are looking for here. High prices, but nice service and stylish ambience.

We visited Azuki based on a recommendation from our hotel, and the experience was amazing! From the moment we entered, we were immediately impressed by the ambiance and the exceptional decor. We were guided to a unique table, and shortly after, the waiter arrived to take our order. Hieu’s assistance was invaluable – he was incredibly patient and suggested dishes that truly stood out. Every recommendation he made was outstanding, and the flavors were simply unparalleled! It was the best Japanese food I’ve ever had, with top-quality ingredients and an impressive presentation.

My wife and I had a wonderful date at this amazing restaurant! We felt warmly welcomed at the reception and were escorted straight to our table. Our waiter, who according to his name tag was new to the team, really did a great job. Despite his training period, he was incredibly polite, courteous and very attentive - a real talent! The sushi was a highlight: fresh, excellent in taste and superbly prepared. We were also impressed by the ambience of the restaurant - modern design but with a traditional touch that creates a very pleasant atmosphere. My wife ate there a few days ago and noticed the helpful employee Anh Duc very positively. When we picked up your cousins ​​from Oman, we went out to eat there again and, funnily enough, we were served again by Anh Duc. The food and the ambience were really fantastic, but Anh Duc was really super helpful, polite, gave us good advice about food and made us feel very comfortable. Gladly again!

Ladies and Gentlemen On a recent visit to your restaurant, we were seated as a group of four at an almost full long table, even though there were numerous smaller, more comfortable tables available. This gave the impression that we were being treated disadvantageously because of our age or external perceptions, as these tables seemed to be reserved for other guests. I was pleasantly surprized I must say. By the food but not by the drinks tbh The food is just WOW. I listened to some previous reviews and ordered nigiri salmon and it was a dream. The meat was so soft It melted. Edamame was perfectly cooked and came fast, as every other meal. So coming here for the food is highly recommended. Try to make a reservation upfront. The drinks - dissapointment. At least to me. I am not a fan of japanese sake nor any other alcoholic drink from Japan and here they put it in almost every cocktail. The aftertaste is kinda weird and not so good. But If you actually like their version I believe you should def try a cocktail bc they are unique. Also, our waiter didn’t know drinks menu, didn’t know to help me choose a cocktail so he should have prepared better beforehand.

We decided to dine here on a whim and walked in to make a dinner reservation. The staff were accommodating to our request so long as we returned the table by 830. Being Asian, we knew that we could do it so long as the food came quickly. The food was quite good though prices could be viewed as steep. However, we felt the food reminded us of Japan. We had 3 dishes, 1 side of fried rice and 2 drinks.

The seating is far too narrow for a restaurant in this category and location - tables are too small and the staff is very uncomplimentary. All in all, the ambience and quality do not fit the upper category

We had seen the restaurant on one of our walks, and the decor caught our attention, and we made a reservation for the next day. Upon arrival we were informed by the hostess that we had 2 hours on our reservation, which makes the experience a little bit rushed, considering not every dish is prepared in 10 minutes, and if one wants to order the full experience of starter, main and dessert, you have to constantly look at the time. Aside from this, we had a fantastic time at Azuki. The staff was really friendly and accommodating. We had the Saketini and Tokyo mule as cocktail and tried the traditional Sake as well. The Saketini was really great. It had a bitter exotic taste. The Wagyu rolls were to die for and the fried Eggplants were the combination of velvety inside with a crispy exterior. As the main dishes, we opted for the ribeye steak and the crispy duck with peanut sauce, both very tasty. The depth of flavor in the peanut sauce was on another level. We would definitely visit Azuki again. Looks perfect for a romantic date or a special occasion with the family.

The other restaurants in Munich can still learn a lot here: fair price performance. Super delicious food, very nice ambience and the service is excellent.

The food was okay, but the rib-eye steak was absolutely amazing—super tasty, perfectly prepared, and served. However, the portion was quite small for €44.00. The other dishes were also tasty, but the portions were overall really small for the high prices. The service staff was friendly, but nothing exceptional. Parking is available in the nearby underground garage, but it costs €12.00. I will definitely come again, though—just for the rib-eye steak!

Unfortunately, our second visit to this restaurant didn't live up to our expectations. The first thing we said after a brief sentence was that the reservation was only for two hours. Okay, a warm welcome doesn't look like much. We had booked a seat by the window - which we got, but there were grease stains and food leftovers from numerous previous guests on the wall. (See picture) If you show up here in a high-quality outfit, it's highly likely to get dirty. As we left the restaurant, we pointed out the really dirty wall. No concern, no apology - nothing. We will spend our €200 for a small dinner for two at another restaurant in the future. It's a shame, because the food is usually really very good.

So, for dinner yesterday, I was already disappointed by the really poor service. We practically had to beg the waiter for something to drink! The first course also arrived way behind schedule. I think it's a shame, because we're used to it differently. But for these prices, yesterday's visit was simply disappointing.

The place is very beautiful and they have more than enough staff. The sushi was mediocre. No special taste or texture. The fish was a bit too warm. Normally I would say, it's okay : But with these prices it's not worth the price. I paid 50 Euro for 10 small standard sushi rolls. That's way too much for what you get.

Overall, a good experience. The location is really great and elegantly decorated. We made a reservation and were reminded several times. Parking is available nearby in the underground garages. Service is okay. The food is also good.

Incredibly great restaurant with special dishes and excellent service

Quality of the food's ingredients: Top. Preparation/taste of the food: 3* out of 6*. Why only 2* for service: 1. The waitress simply placed the bottle of water on the table – no opening or pouring. 2. While serving the food, she dug her horribly long, polished fingernail into the food! 3. No eye contact when paying – complete disinterest. Where have our attentive service providers (and craftsmen) gone, who know what they're doing and give 100% effort at all times?

Asian restaurant in Muchen, crowded, food for Vietnamese is okay

It feels like being in East Asia. The terrace offers a view of the opera, but that doesn't bother you. The food is very authentic, exotic, and also very delicious. So of course there was no reference to the subject. So why do you specify a name for us to write? It doesn't really interest you. Excellent food, very good service, great atmosphere! An excellent location if there is something to celebrate or if you want to spend a nice evening. Higher price category but worth every cent. Just as great: everything came to the table relatively quickly after ordering. Note: booked via Open Table and we were told as soon as we entered the restaurant that the table would only be available for 2 hours. I don't find it that exciting despite all the understanding for the many employees and the location/lease. Especially when you compare the bill of almost 300 euros at the end. This always bothers me when you book via open table and doesn't make any sense. When booking I was asked about the reason for the booking - well it was my birthday - unfortunately there was no gesture on site regarding my special day and the entry. It's a shame...unfortunately people weren't attentive here - the visit was still fun.

The term "Schiki Miki visitor" probably describes guests who are primarily attracted by the outer shell of a restaurant or café - i.e. the modern, often exaggerated design, the "hip" ambience or the trendy elements, without necessarily being interested in the quality of the food. These visitors place a lot of value on the overall experience: beautiful decor, cool atmosphere, Instagrammable dishes, and perhaps the “lifestyle” associated with a particular location. The food itself often takes a back seat. In the case of Azuki, you could say that it attracts many of these “Schiki Miki visitors” – people who are impressed by the chic design and staging, but perhaps place less value on the culinary substance.
