We entered by chance and were pleasantly surprised. The food is super tasty and the staff makes you feel like family. The arepas were spectacular (very good😂) we will surely repeat👍🏽

Love coming here. Friendly staff who seem to have improved things lately. Very satisfying, fair portion sizes and tasty overall.

I am Venezuelan, I live in Hamburg and I came to visit Berlin, I was very excited to try the food, because the profile and the reviews looked very good, but unfortunately it is very expensive and the quality of my food was “terrible” the arepa was very dry, the cachapa de pernil burnt and the meat very dry... the empanadas measure 4cm and were not tasty at all... In short, I would not return nor recommend this place. But I hope you take the positive criticism and improve 🙌🏼 because it's nice to have a good corner of my country here

The food was very dry, the service was mediocre because we felt like we were forgotten and for the price of €40 you don't really get full. We were very excited because we have eaten Venezuelan food all over the world, but it was the worst Eat what we've ever had...

I didn't know anything about Venezuelan cuisine. Very tasty and interesting. I'll be back to try more and enjoy the nice atmosphere.

Empanada trio and avocado/chicken arepa so good

Venezuela is in a bad situation now, though history Venezuela was in a good situation which is not the case of other Latin American countries so to fill in an arepa or empanada they needed to add potatoes or rice to save meat; they do this to reduce costs and charge expensive prices… I tried to support them through time but this is not good Venezuelan food Other points: -They put something spicy to the maniok (not necessary) -they add alfalfa to the cachapa which steals the taste This restaurant should seek for a chef to help them, i am embarrassed as a venezuelan who knows how yo cook when i complained about the potatoes instead of meat, they claimed they were Colombian, which nowhere was pointed step up

The food is very delicious, the tequeños are delicious, they have a very delicious homemade sauce. I recommend it

A really cute place ran by a really chill Venezuelan guy. I had the chicken avocado arepa and it was absolutely fire. Warm and crispy outside, and the filling was so darn creamy. I came in hangry and left with a smile. Didn’t take a photo, but trust, it looked delicious.

The food is excellent, especially the kachapas, which are my favorite dish. They can also be found on Saturdays at the weekend market at Kollwitzplatz. The best Venezuelan cookery has been tried in Berlin with different characteristics. Las cachapas are my favorite plato, they are spectacular. There is also a market at the sábados in Kollwitzplatz.

On my visit to Berlin I went to this place because it has good recommendations on Google, but I must say that it left me disappointed. The food is quite expensive for the portion offered and also for the quality. I can recommend the queen pepiada, which was good. In addition to the issue of food, the atmosphere felt tense, because the person serving outside was constantly arguing with the person in the kitchen 😑 uncomfortable. After this place, I have gone to others in Berlin and honestly, I am left with the feeling that what I spent was a little excessive for the experience that the place offers.

Tasted good, thought it was quite a small portion for €12.50. I would have done 2 too. 😉 Service is friendly and food is fresh and delicious! There is no customer toilet.

Ayákayo tropical street food with homemade food, familiar and with Venezuelan flavor, has been a discovery, Inma with her pleasant character welcomes you with a smile, everything tasty and made with a lot of love. The atmosphere makes you feel at home, we had some exquisite homemade empanadas, yuka with various sauces and a Kachapa to lick your fingers, it is located near the Mauerpark park, it is completely homemade food and the prices are very good, totally recommended, I will return

Love this place! Went last night and the service was so friendly and quick. We had a "special" of fried shrimps with purple sweet potato chips, and the reina pepiada arepa and the domino with beans and cheese. What really made everything special was the sauce the food came with, of avocado or mango/passionfruit. The hot sauce was so good we bought a bottle. We will be coming back!

The kind of taste that reaches not only your tummy but also your heart. Menu is simple but developed to perfection. Food is savory and done the proper way. Drink as papelón con limón is refreshing and suitable for hot summer days. Besides the food being amazing, the place itself is cozy, comfortable and perfect to accommodate people inside or outside. The best Venezuelan food in Berlin. The menu is simple and super creative at the same time. There’s only a few choices (always a good sign for me) and they deliver them to perfection. We had empanadas and yuka loka as appetizer and the arepa reina and a kachapa with beef as main, all super tasty, fresh and perfectly seasoned. To drink a refreshing papelón con limón and coffee! They also have Maltín Polar and Frescolita, among other refreshing choices. We were full so we didn’t have dessert, but the golfeados are in our list for the next visit! Great job from Julio, Inma and the Ayákayó team! Would give 10 stars if possible :)

Absolutely delicious food and wonderful service. One of the best arepas in Berlin. We had a reina pepiada (chicken and avocado) and a pulled beef one. For dessert we had quesillo (Venezuelan flan).

Really don't understand the rave reviews about this place. Food is decent but basic, and in my opinion quite overpriced, as its not really a restaurant but a snack bar. Empanadas were tiny, although we were told they were small, and the arepa was a corn pitta style pocket of dough with tasty pulled beef though the sauce was weirdly watery. The service was friendly, but the owner lady talking loudly about her allergies instead of greeting us set the tone. Maybe worth a visit if you've never had Venezuelan street food before.

Locación: El lugar es súper cómodo y cerca del parque mauerpark. Atención: Las dos personas que nos atendieron fueron súper amables desde el momento que llegamos con nuestros amigos. Recibiéndonos con una sonrisa hasta último momento. La comida: Muy bien variado y súper rico! Realmente lo recomiendo y por supuesto volveremos! La comida súper rica y con buena variedad. Hand downs the BEST venezuelan restaurant I have ever been to since I moved to Germany. The cachapas were so authentic and the pulled meat tasted amazing, they even have typical venezuelan drinks (Polarcita, malta…). The personal was also really friendly, definitely coming back again!

It’s a Venezuelan cafe and the beef arepa was tasty. A bit overpriced: 9€ but still worth going at least once.

I ordered to go a cachapa with shredded beef and a touch of white cheese and service was FAST and friendly. It came with a sm side dish of guacamole (very tasty). The corn flavor so fresh and all so so DELICIOUS!!! I’m so happy that a place with authentic Venezuelan food is so near me!!! 🥳😍🤗Thanks for doing such a wonderful work!!!

Super nice patron and little cozy hole in the wall spot. I got the Kachapa with beans, which was a bit flat as it *only* had baked beans inside, no fresh veggie, no crunch, no other flavours. The fleck of Avocado Mousse was good but too little to contribute to the overall dish. And the price was marginally lower than the one with meat. The caked looked beautiful so I might give it a try another time for Kaffee und Kuchen time

we discovered Host just recently but fell in love with the place! a very welcoming, friendly and caring owner serves the best coffee in the area (flat white is to die for! 🖤). I haven’t tried much of the food yet but the artichoke piadina was unforgettable!

Für mich der beste Kaffee weit und breit. Dazu leckere Sandwiches und/oder pain au chocolat. Die Zutaten sind liebevoll ausgewählt und man erfährt, wo alles herkommt (überwiegend regionaler Anbau). Der Laden ist stilvoll eingerichtet und Fabio ist ein hervorragender und charmanter Host. Schöne Musik (meist Klassik oder Jazz) gibt es auch noch dazu. Wenn man einmal drin war, fällt es schwer, dort vorbeizugehen, ohne zumindest kurz für einen espresso macchiato Halt zu machen.

Das Essen ist super lecker, vor allem auch die Croissants! Der Kaffee ist auch unglaublich gut, Flat White Hafer ist einer der besten in ganz Berlin (und ich habe schon viele getestet... :-) )

The food and coffee was incredibly good. They only cook with fresh regional ingredients. The cakes are selfmade too. All in all an incredible experience.

Avec l'envie de bien commencer la journée, on se laisse être attiré par cette petite terrasse. La musique à l'intérieur de l'établissement s'entend timidement à l'extérieur mais permet de mettre du baume au coeur. De plus on entend le serveur fredonner et sa joie est communicative ! Un super service enjoué et un bon petit déjeuner fait d'oeufs, pain et pancakes ( tout est très bon) il n'y avait rien de mieux pour débuter la journée !

Die Kellnerinnen tragen keinen Mund-Nasen-Schutz und halten keinen Abstand ein. Unverständlich, wie man so rücksichtslos sein kann - den Gästen als auch der sowieso leidenden Gastronomie gegenüber.

Wir waren wochentags an einem sonnigen Herbsttag hier zum Frühstück: herrlicher Blick auf den Helmholzplatz, Sonne im Gesicht und ein super leckeres, liebevoll angerichtetes Frühstück. Die Bedienung sehr angenehm, freundlich & aufmerksam, die Preise absolut fair. Dies war sicher nicht unser letzter Besuch hier.

Si tratta di un piccolo e affollatissimo locale dove si può gustare un buon brunch spendendo pochissimo: appena 13 euro a persona mangiando a volontà. Le bibite si pagano a parte. Il servizio è cortese, anche se non molto veloce. Dalla cucina escono continuamente nuove pietanze. Ottimi i wurstel bianchi lessati, da condire con la senape dolce. Buona la scelta dei dolci. Consigliato per un pasto veloce ed economico.

Nice café, located in a very pleasant part of Berlin, not too far from Mauerpark. The brunch option on the Sunday is a good option. It is an all you can eat buffet for a bit more than 10€, with a great diversity and suitable for vegetarians. Good tea, coffee and fresh juices. Worth going!
