Yes! We spontaneously stopped by yesterday on our way to the game in Munich because we found it on Maps. Great place, great food, and really friendly service! If we're ever in the area again, we'll stop by again!

A truly top-notch, quiet restaurant. The waitresses are welcoming and professional. The food arrives quickly. It's excellent, as is the beer (schnitzel with schwein, torte, chocolate soufflé, etc.). Excellent value for money. Dogs allowed, quiet space for babies in strollers... I don't understand and absolutely disagree with some of the comments: there's indeed a large sign asking you to wait to be seated, and I saw many people sitting down at tables on their own when they arrived. The waitress had to explain several times that it was reserved and kindly reposition them, and some of the customers' comments were inappropriate, in my opinion. Just wait at the sign, and everything will be fine 🤷🏻‍♀️, it makes sense. In short, I recommend it with my eyes closed! 😊

Completely happy. It was really great, and being so close to the highway was a welcome change from rest stops. Absolutely top-notch.

We wanted to go there for dinner today, May 30th, with four people (a family). There's a sign at the entrance saying "Please wait," so we waited three minutes for someone to come. The interior was mostly empty. The waitress told us to go out to the left to the beer garden (also with many empty tables), which was where we were about to sit, as it wasn't reserved. Then we were called back. We were told to get in line again... We didn't want to tolerate this rude behavior, so we left and won't be coming back.

We didn't have a chance to rate the food. On May 30th, four of us wanted to have lunch there. In the first waiting area, the lady sent us out to the beer garden. Then, in the beer garden, another lady yelled at us so rudely, telling us to wait at the sign, the back area wasn't open. After such a reception, we lost our appetite. We went somewhere else. She should have just presented it in a more humane way, then it would have been completely fine, but no blathering like that. We won't go there again.

Great restaurant next to the campsite. Klener Martin is particularly worth mentioning. We celebrated Mario's birthday there. The staff were very friendly, and we felt very comfortable. We've been going there for three years on our way back from Croatia. Keep up the good work. We'll be back in August ;)

We were passing through and stopped here for dinner. The service was very prompt, the food was delicious, and the portions were generous.

Went on bike ride around Auwaldsee, and decided to stop for lunch. Seasonal menu with Weiss sparkle was great. My wife had the Munchner Schnitzel and the flavor was super. We will be back.

I asked for a dish with local ingredients. The friendly staff recommended the veal schnitzel with asparagus and potatoes with hollandaise sauce. Definitely try it, I was happy with it 😋

An excellent meal with 10 people on Easter Monday 2025. Service absolutely top, price/performance is right. I haven't eaten such excellent Trout Müllerin in years. The meat dishes were also rated VERY GOOD by our table. All dishes were served at the same time, although we had a total of 7 different dishes. And the schnitzels are really souffled, the breading is a dream! Small requests for changes were made in a friendly manner and without any problems with a smile Very nicely decorated, you feel completely welcome. Definitely not to be missed!!!!!!

Quite ok in itself. We are there regularly with a large family. The last three times some of us didn't get enough. (We are normal eaters, not gluttons). Portions reduced, prices increased, that's how you make money. Overall, the menu is very meat-heavy, not enough vegetarian dishes. Service is always TOP, the atmosphere is neat and tasteful.

Beautifully located location that serves typical Bavarian and well-known dishes. The portions are a bit meager for the price, but the quality seems to be excellent. The price for the dish in the picture was 32 euros, which is a lot to think about for the average family. Service is OK.

We were there on April 5th for my birthday party. The small room for 11 people was reserved a few days in advance and confirmed again by phone the day before. However, we were given a nicely set table by the window. We weren't that happy, but the likeable and friendly landlady Melli handled everything well. Even though service staff were unavailable due to illness, we were looked after very well by Melli! The interior is rustic, we really liked it. The sparkling wine was sparkling and OK for the price.( The cake buffet was to our liking! The food was very tasty (spare ribs, lumberjack steak, Munich schnitzel, etc.) Homemade potato salad with cucumber, would have in my opinion A little more spice and more cucumber needed, as well as the potatoes cut a little thinner. But that's just my taste 😉 Pepper and salt are available on all tables! Price performance is consistent. Service was very friendly. We felt really comfortable and would love to come back! Unfriendly service Food arrived after about 5 minutes, dumplings were rock hard. The location is almost empty and you still have to wait at the entrance until you are assigned your seat...

The Munich schnitzel was perfect, but the potato and cucumber salad was the worst I've ever eaten. The chef used floury potatoes and overcooked them. It was a mess of potato salad and mashed potatoes. Once, and never again.

The food was very tasty. I had venison goulash, but unfortunately, I didn't like the dumplings. The only regrettable thing was that it came with three giant leaves of lettuce and half a tomato. It would have been nice if it had been prepared a bit more lovingly, more bite-sized. Otherwise, the music was great during the meal, and the food was very tasty, and the service was friendly.

A wonderful day at the Auwaldsee lake. Great view, good food (grilled platter with beef steak and a variety of Bavarian delicacies, reasonably priced), and excellent drinks (wine and lager). Tim, the waitress, was a delight. Definitely worth a visit.

The inn and the location are great. We met up with friends there and spent the whole day (with a break). The service is excellent; we had a very funny waitress with whom we had a lot of fun (let's just say GIN - crazy 😉). The food is very, very delicious; nothing was left to be desired. We were very impressed by the selection of GIN, and we enjoyed it very much. The location right on the lake is perfect for strolling. This was certainly not our last visit. Thank you very much.

Completely stupid service... doesn't smile, passes the food across the table and looks away, instead of asking, every sentence begins with "so, drinks"! Meaning, what would you like to drink? Don't listen! Instead of taking empty plates with her, she constantly goes to the kitchen empty. 80% of the glasses during the main course are empty, no question. Complete lack of enthusiasm to the point of rudeness, what a shame! The trout had been dead for a long time, the deer was tougher than it should be and Kaiserschmarrn had never seen a pan...

Were for a birthday party with the family. The atmosphere is very cozy and the service is super friendly. The menu is extremely diverse so there is something for everyone. Wonderful spontaneous stop on our journey to the south. Started with a friendly phone call that is open and they are happy if we come over. The question as to whether it was possible with a dog was also happily answered in the affirmative. After arrival, the phone call was remembered and a dog treat was even given and water was brought for him. Drinks came very quickly and the food found its way to our table in a short time. Tastes very good. Gladly again at any time.

Great Bavarian food at good prices

I can't quite understand how most of the other reviews here came about: On the way back from our skiing holiday and hoping for hearty Bavarian cuisine at a fair price, we experienced a huge letdown, starting with the very unfriendly service, who assigned us the absolute worst table despite the restaurant being only half full, to the worst, because completely tough, boiled beef that my wife and I have ever seen, right up to the one that supposedly came from the grill Salmon fillet, which was apparently partially breaded, so it probably came out of the pan dripping with fat (if at all). And when children refuse to eat the schnitzel they ordered, which was not due to the portion size but rather the lack of quality, that actually says it all. All this for an almost outrageous price. The only positive thing: a reasonably comfortable dining room and the quick arrival of the food (everything was ready quicker than in any other restaurant). Snack bar on the table), which was probably due to the obvious frozen goods. Never again.

This was our first experience here. The restaurant is cozy and we were well received by the waiters. My husband ordered grilled beef fillet with croquettes. I ordered roast pork with green salad with herbs. They brought my food, but not my husband's! I waited... and when they served my husband, my food was already cold. My husband's dish was well served and delicious. Mine was mediocre. We didn't have dessert, because according to the waiter, it would no longer be possible to order, even though the service hours had not yet expired. He claimed that the kitchen closed at 20:00! Maybe we will return in the future for a new experience.

It's a shame that we live so far away, otherwise we would come here more often. Stopped in on the way home. The food was delicious, the price/performance ratio was right and the service was top notch. Were completely satisfied. There were even specially made treats from the house for the dog. ❤️

We were recently there with almost 20 people for a family celebration and we will definitely not go there to eat again. Maybe for a coffee and cake, but lunch and dinner are a disaster. The duck and the roulades were recommended to us as "particularly fresh" and the 4 people who actually had duck thought it was terrible ("like warmed up three times"). Mind you, these people have eaten duck quite often and therefore have a few Experiences as they can/should taste. And that wasn't the only bad food we got, the pork fillets were also frozen, so far it wasn't bad, you can do that to stock up, but you have to know how to prepare them. However, this cook doesn't know that, all the portions we had contained pieces that were still raw on the inside and that doesn't work at all with pork. In any case, the experiences we had with the food there were extremely embarrassing for us as “hosts” of this family celebration, so unfortunately we cannot recommend the inn. On the positive side, the location by the lake is very nice, there is a playground nearby and good parking. The rooms were also very nice, there is a separate changing room, many toilets, it is attractively decorated, etc. But unfortunately the food is not recommended at all. Very unfortunate.

In itself, it's a nice, beautifully decorated restaurant with parking spaces right in front of the house, nice rooms and corners, only the men's toilet was unfortunately closed during our visit and the service wasn't particularly friendly. The food was good so far, especially the roast venison, although the prices were quite high. The waiting time wasn't particularly long. What didn't work at all were the homemade cheese and spinach dumplings, as the plate consisted almost entirely of salad and you really have to look for the tiny 2 dumplings. This is not a filling, warm main dish that can be sold for just under €20 and should therefore be changed to a lot more dumplings and significantly less salad and the dressing could have been better and more. Thanks to the melted butter, you will soon have a salad with clotted butter. The cake on display looked very much like frozen goods. Here I would like something home-baked in the restaurant...

We were there for the candlelight dinner through Jochen Schweizer. The ambience and service were good but the food was totally disappointing. The main course was a complete disaster. As mentioned here several times, there seems to be a lot of work with finished products. The spaetzle was so dry in places that it was probably several days old. The sauce was also very watery and without any flavor. Of course, that wasn't good at all in combination with the old spaetzle. Unfortunately, the price was far too high for a 3-course menu of this quality.

Went here again for dinner. The drinks and food were great as always. The service is super attentive and very friendly. Unfortunately my roast venison was a bit dry, but as expected everything was very tasty and the portions were generous. Highly recommended!

I thought it was pretty bad, the food was ok, but the service person who mainly served us was one of the unfriendly conditions I've ever had, and for a short time I sometimes had the feeling that I was being pushed around the corner with every question. We were also deducted because we were charged for stuff that hadn't been agreed upon before. Never again!

The plate was already half eaten. Praise to the kitchen.

“Candle light dinner = convenience food” Goat cheese gratinated cold and way too big. Salad with no dressing, so raw food. Baguette not from the bakery, just baked yourself. Pork fillet fried to death. Frozen croquettes, packaged sauce. Vegetable schnitzel: ready-pressed potato bread with vegetable pieces. Nicely breaded and fried. Frozen sweet potato fries. Warm chocolate cake: bought ready-made and just warmed. Frozen vanilla ice cream with ready-made groats Greetings from flavor enhancers and the like! Just cook yourself - it's not that difficult. What a shame!

We can highly recommend the restaurant. From the outside it doesn't look like that at first glance, but from the inside it is very cozy, warm and beautifully decorated. Liba looked after us very well. Very nice, quick, attentive and helpful. Since the kitchen closed at 8 p.m., we got dessert shortly beforehand while we still had the main course. This was communicated in exactly the same way beforehand and we thought that was very good. So we had the opportunity to decide for ourselves whether we wanted another one or not. Communication is so important. We felt very comfortable and the food was very, very tasty 😋 I haven't eaten out so well for a long time. Thank you very much and we'll be happy to come back.

Soup with pancakes: good, I was missing chives. Venison goulash with bread dumplings and red cabbage: Goulash & bread dumplings were good, but typical wild spices such as juniper, cloves, etc. were missing. Red cabbage was a disaster. Oversalted and extremely strangely seasoned. Inedible. Roast venison with hazelnut spaetzle and Brussels sprouts. Roast venison was OK, but the typical game spices were also missing here. Meat tender. Hazelnut spaetzle was ok, but I had the impression that ground hazelnut was simply stirred in at the end instead of being incorporated into the dough. Brussels sprouts were al dente (good) but not seasoned (negative). The sauces for both dishes were too thick in consistency for us. All in all, no more than 2 stars. What is positive is that our feedback on the red cabbage after consultation and testing in the kitchen confirmed our statement and an espresso and a small drink were on the house. As an explanation, we were told that the chef was on vacation and had neglected to taste the food before serving it to the guest as usual. Beautiful Christmas decorations in the room. Service quick and friendly.

Nice restaurant with very good food, well prepared. I don't think the service employee had the best day when we were there. The order was taken incorrectly and the side salad was forgotten. When asked, both the salad and the food we ordered were brought, and he was also very friendly. We'd love to come back again.

Watched the scary dinner 'The Mummy' and once again had a super delicious 4-course menu (unfortunately no photos were taken). Can only be recommended!

The food is and has always been very good. When things weren't so special today, the waiter immediately checked the constructive criticism and after he found that it was legitimate, after apologizing, he offered a great free compensation.
