Very good for a beer, coffee or wine and also a culinary refreshment during a hiking or cycling trip

A place to stop for refreshments right on the Saale River, with friendly staff and a small menu of food and drinks. Cozy.

Every dish is freshly prepared here! The schnitzel is pounded in the kitchen! Great location right on the bike path. The beer garden is a bit dated, and it's self-service only. But the good food, a candid conversation with the owner, and the beautiful view make up for it!

Shortly after 8 p.m., we came down a route suggested by the cycling app, only to be informed by the proprietor that it was a private road and asked if we hadn't seen the sign. He was actually already closed, and when I pointed out that the app said 9 p.m., he said it wasn't his fault. The proprietor would have cooked us something, but when the proprietor grumpily replied, "But only a little," I thought to myself: This man has missed his calling, and he certainly doesn't want any customers. Now we're sitting in a brewery on the market square and are receiving very courteous service.

If you like things simple and value good, affordable food, hospitality, and authenticity, this is the place for you! I've been here three times in a short space of time, combining it with a walk along the Saale River; I loved it so much!

Lovely beer garden right on the Saale.

Oh God, no! They really don't want that ambiance. They're sitting in the garden, which was last tended 10 years ago. Yes, it's self-service, but don't look behind the counter. Okay, the hamburger schnitzel was good value, but thank God I couldn't see into the kitchen. The tables were sticky from previous customers, and the waitresses were sitting in the shade smoking. Please move on!

Unfortunately not clean, guest room cluttered, garden full of junk and unfortunately not tidy either.

I arrived unannounced this evening shortly before the kitchen closed. After a 30km paddle from Camburg, I used the dock right next door to disembark. Upon request, I was given a clean, well-kept room in no time. A warm dinner and a beer were served on the terrace by the water. The hosts are warm and friendly; the atmosphere is cozy, fun, and informal. I was also very pleasantly surprised by the breakfast the next morning, which was plentiful and varied. I'd gladly come back...

Seating is a bit uncomfortable. Food was freshly prepared and delicious.

It tasted good. The meat was juicy and still cooked well. For me, there was just too much pepper. Therefore, no 5 stars.

A nice little restaurant on the Saale Cycle Path. Light meals at reasonable prices. The somewhat run-down ambiance is a drawback.

It is beautifully situated on the river. It's a bit old, but the new operator wants to bring everything up to speed little by little. It was the best Bismarck roll I have ever eaten in my life. Prices are really okay. Be sure to stop here

A typical excursion restaurant on the Saale cycle path, familiar, no frills with self-service at very moderate prices. Easy to reach by car, well signposted and plenty of parking spaces. Friendly staff. Well-kept regional beers on tap. Food was tasty. Highly recommended for a trip or a stop along the way!

Very nice self-service restaurant located directly on the Saale. Schnitzel fried in butter, chips to perfection and a great salad plate.

Wonderful for relaxing and resting after a long hiking tour. The shandy is cold and refreshing and the sausage was crispy. The view of the Saale is really beautiful.

I took a break here on my bike. It's self-service. The food and drinks were delicious. Located directly on the Saale.

Zum Lokal kann ich nichts sagen,wie saßen am Ufer..... Aber bestimmt toll war gut besucht.

Netter kleiner, unprätentiöser Biergarten am Saale-Radwanderweg mit Schatten und Innenplätzen. Eine Einladung zur Überlegung, wie das Plätzchen wohl vor 35 Jahren ausgesehen hat, bei der isolierten, Ruhe verbreitenden Lage unmittelbar an der Saale...

Die frisch zubereiteten Fischbrötchen sind unschlagbar.

Sehr leckere Forellen, sehr netter Service, der Kamin war schön, Weihnachsmusik wäre schön gewesen zum Glühweinwandern

Neu mit eigenem Wein ,ausgebaut vom Weingut Marius Seeliger.

Freundliche bodenständige Gastronomie. Das Essen schmeckt, das Bier war sehr genüsslich. Direkt am Fluss. Würde ich wieder hingehen. Empfehlung mal mit den Inhaber reden. :)

Wir sind den Saaleradweg gefahren und waren dort zu Gast, das Essen ist relativ einfach. Leider gibt es nur eine Selbstbedienung. Die Lage ist dafür aber sehr schön.

Akzeptables Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Eventuell ein bisschen weniger Salz auf der Speise. Wer mag kann doch gern nachwürzen.

Der Retter in der Not. Montag alles hat zu , und dann endlich nach vielen km mit dem Rad total ausgetrocknete Kehlen und dann ein Lichtblick . Obwohl noch geschlossen war kam sofort der Chef und hat unsere ausgetrockneten Kehlen mit Flüssigkeit versorgt. Danke

Als Zwischenstopp beim Boot fahren eine gute Alternative, um was zu essen. Toiletten sehr sauber und schön. Essen war ok, kleine Abstriche macht man gerne bei dem Preis

Preis Leistung ist völlig gegeben. Nettes Ambiente. Möglichkeiten zum draußen sitzen aber auch einen netten Innenbereich. Kinderfreundlich ausgestattet. Nette Bedienung. Auf jeden Fall bei jeder Fahrradtour oder Kanutour lohnt sich ein Sprung ,,Zum Pegel,, auf einen Kaffee, Hausgemachten Kuchen, Softeis oder auch was Deftiges .

Für Zwischenstopp auf Radtour ein nettes Plätzchen

Malerisch an der Saale gelegen, gut ein kühles Blondes oder einen Schoppen Wein zu trinken.

Sehr schlicht und etwas Niveaulos. Gartenmöbel aus verschiedenen Epochen. Lage ist toll und die Gaststätte könnte eine Goldgrube sein.

Bodenständiges, gutbürgerliches, kleines Wirtshaus direkt am Saale-Radweg und dem Fluss gelegen. Freundliches Team und moderate Preise.

Das Essen ist überraschend gut undsehr zu empfehlen. Es gibt auch Kleinigkeiten für unterwegs für Radler und Wanderer. Service und Ambiente lassen im Vergleich zu wünschen übrig. Aber für eine Radlerstation ganz in Ordnung.

Sieht leider nicht sehr einladent aus..

Zum Pegel, da kann man schön spazieren gehen, kann man weiter empfehlen.

Immerwieder schön auf ein Kaltgetränk anzuhalten.
