Auntie Clara in Sankt Peter-Ording

We were in Sankt Peter Ording and this restaurant was definitely one of the best we visited. In one week we had dinner there twice because it was so good. The restaurant is located spaciously in a hotel, but nevertheless a pleasant, cozy atmosphere arises. The staff is professional, you can see the chefs at work and sometimes even a celebrity. Gladly again, Auntie Clara.

We ate a very tasty surprise menu. Plus an Aperol Spritz as an aperitif and a bottle of red wine with your meal. Everything convinced us very much. The food was delicious and the service was very accommodating. We'd love to come back.

Got the Green Falafel. Not tasty at all. No balance with acidity. Bread from the oven was frozen...

Wir haben heute ein unglaublich leckeres, extrem vielfältiges 3 Gänge Menü im Auntie Clara zu uns genommen. Wir waren sehr positiv überrascht und waren sehr erstaunt wie reichhaltig dieses Menü war. Der Service war ebenfalls fantastisch. Ein Abend, den wir nicht so schnell vergessen werden.

The idea and design of the hotel and the restaurant with bar etc. is well thought out, good and harmonious. Unfortunately that's not the case with the staff. It seems overwhelmed with the simplest questions and is not customer-oriented. Cannot make decisions and offers no alternatives. On the homepage it said that you could eat cheese fondue there. That's why we went there. We weren't seated in the restaurant, but at a high table on the corner of the bar. We were brought a card and told that we would be there shortly to order. So far so good! Right from the start we asked for the cheese fondue, which overwhelmed the waiter because he stammered and couldn't say exactly that it wasn't available. He explained to us that this could only be booked for groups of eight people or more, that you had to book it in advance, and that it would take place in the rooftop bar and that an extra chef would have to be requested. To which I replied that none of this is on the homepage. And I can even reserve a table there (even for two people). He then wanted to ask again (somewhere) about the cheese fondue. After he rushed past our table several times, I spoke to him again and asked what was happening now? He then replies that he wrote it down and is passing it on. By asking I mean something different than writing it down and passing it on. He then asked if we had already decided. Whereupon we informed him that we had decided to leave the restaurant. And also told him again that asking questions doesn't mean writing them down and passing them on. Furthermore, he could have just said that this does not exist today. He said that there wouldn't be anything before and on Christmas, although this was exactly the period advertised on the homepage. So we ended up leaving. Even if there is a shortage of personnel or, as they say, a shortage of skilled workers, you should familiarize your employees or service employees with the concept of service and how to deal with customers.

A modern restaurant with a nice selection of vegetarian and meat dishes. All of the dishes we tried were convincing both visually and in terms of taste. The lettuce as a starter was excellent. Almost every dish has a creative and interesting twist, resulting in a pleasant and varied dining experience. The service is very friendly and professional. The waiters behave in keeping with the rather relaxed atmosphere, which we found to be quite pleasant. Access by car is only possible to a limited extent and from the back of the hotel. However, the restaurant is within walking distance of the “Bad-Zentrum” and numerous parking spaces.

Die Benennung der Gerichte ist schon sehr kreativ, was wohl die recht hohen Preise rechtfertigen soll. Geschmeckt hat alles sehr gut und auch der Service war in Ordnung. Das Lokal war voll besetzt und damit ziemlich laut. Eine Raumaufteilung wäre aus unserer Sicht hilfreich.

Vorweg: das ausgesprochen freundliche Team hat sich wirklich ganz lieb gekümmert und wir fanden am Ende eine gute Lösung. Auntie Clara hat hohe Ansprüche, denen Sie aber (noch) nicht gerecht werden. Geschmacklich gut, jedoch mit erheblichen Wartezeiten verbunden um dann so serviert zu werden, dass der Gast sich nach 10 Minuten noch den Gaumen verbrennt. Die cool-hippe Kantinenatmosphäre ist gewollt, halt nur sehr laut. Wir waren zu Beginn ganz verzaubert, da der Service wirklich superlieb war, die Vorspeise nicht übermäßig lange auf sich warten ließ und köstlich war, im Laufe des Abends ließ bis auf die Nettigkeit der Leute leider alles nach. Da die Leute so sweet sind und die Küche es (so der Eindruck) eigentlich kann, versuchen wir es bei unserem nächsten Urlaub aber bestimmt nochmal

Die Küche hat den Heiligabend gerockt; Garnelen und Butterchicken waren super! Service zackig. Schade, dass es mit Platzwunsch nicht geklappt hat, aber schieben wir das mal auf die gute Buchungslage ;-)

We had an overall great stay at Urban Nature. 🤗 Breakfast was a real highlight - from freshly baked bread to delicious spreads and rich drinks. However, we would have liked a little more selection, as salmon was missing, for example. The spa was an absolute dream! The relaxing atmosphere and professional treatments rounded off our stay perfectly. The absolute highlight, however, was the dinner. I ate the best steak of my life here - perfectly cooked, tender and full of flavor. A culinary experience I won't soon forget! We will definitely come back and are already looking forward to our next visit. A big compliment to the entire team for the great hospitality!

The restaurant is open, with several individual tables forming the edge. In the middle there are long tables for many people. The open kitchen is unobtrusive and pleasantly quiet. The service is young, friendly and attentive. However, sometimes he could be more attentive and definitely braver. That would strengthen the concept. Let's get to food. First of all, bread and salted butter. I don't understand the concept of the bread bag. You don't see anything. Make it a little flatter. Then, if there are two people, I give four slices of bread. Three is strange. And please cut the bread fresh and remove the first very thin slice (the kitchen processes this) but do not give any dried slices to the guests. When the guests order more bread, they realize that it is actually juicy. As starters we had wild vegetables and fried mussels. The vegetables were good. Crisp, well fried which went excellently with the lime mayo. This is pleasantly subtle. The pomegranate seeds add a great fresh note. What was missing was a slight spiciness and a little more salt. This would have absolutely rounded off the dish. What really surprised me is that the table next door, who ordered the dish an hour later, didn't get Romanesco but wild broccoli. This leaves me a bit perplexed. The mussels were well breaded. But here too there is no trace of salt. The mustard dressing can be more intense. Maybe. Add some chervil. Would like more of the onions. The main courses "Lamb" and "Korean Chicken". I was surprised that the lamb only came with hummus. The pine nuts go down here. Here you might want to think about crunchy chickpeas with a little more spice, which flank the pleasantly sour pomegranate seeds, which went well. The lamb was otherwise very good. Wonderfully seasoned, absolutely tender. The bread, except for the bag, was super good, fluffy and slightly warm. Absolutely delicious. The chicken was great. Well seasoned, great glaze. Wonderfully tender with crunchy vegetables. However, you may not put everything in one pot. In my opinion, the rice, as a neutral, "cooling" component, to be served alongside the intense chicken would make more sense. Finally, one more idea. The concept of many different countries is great. Then why not customize the dishes? Korean chicken in a cast iron Dutch oven pot 🤔 they have great pots of their own in Korea. Why the lamb not on clay but on white earthenware? I think that would be a rounding addition. However, in conclusion I can say that I would come again. Because in the end it was a good meal and we felt good. Everything I have mentioned would make it very good.

Tolles Ambiente und toller Service, der sehr freundlich und locker ist. Das Essen ist sehr lecker und sehr gut 😀 Zu empfehlen ist die „Reise“ bei der man eine Auswahl an Vor-, Haupt- und Nachspeisen bekommt. Dies kann man ab 2 Personen bestellen und ist mehr als ausreichend und perfekt zum teilen

We had reserved a table for dinner at Auntie Clara and decided on the Soul Food Journey. That evening the restaurant was almost full - so there were slightly longer waiting times. Given the amount of food on the Soul Food Journey, this wasn't a bad thing at all. :) Fresh bread was served with the food in advance and continuously - it was already very tasty. As a starter there were various dips as well as a portion of surf & turf to share. Everything was also very tasty (and very rich). Two dishes were served for the main meal, Cottage Pie with minced lamb and Spicey Red Cod, a fish dish. Both dishes were well seasoned and tasty. The portions could have been a little smaller for us. We only managed half of the two delicious desserts. The espresso and schnapps afterwards ensured that we were able to get up again :) and walked back to our hotel full and happy. We'll definitely be back!

Super delicious food! You can only give 5 stars for this! Unfortunately, there's a little more to it than that. The atmosphere is open and even the kitchen is open. We really liked that. However, the room is very loud and everything seems a bit hectic. We received a very friendly welcome. However, the waitress at the table spoke very quietly. Then there was the volume and we really had problems communicating. We got the wrong drink at first. After a bit of back and forth and asking twice, we finally got the right drink. This can always happen and is basically not a point deducted for us, but it somehow fit into the picture. A very courteous young lady cleared the table and offered us the menu for dessert. Unfortunately, the service in the area only came to take the order after a long wait and a show of hands. All in all a good concept and very good cuisine. However, the service can clearly be improved. The ladies who brought out the food and cleared the tables clearly had a better overview than the actual wait staff and communication also worked better.

Der einzige Kritikpunkt, den wir äußern können, ist das es etwas zu viel Essen bei der Soulfood Journey war. Aber alles schmeckte hervorragend. Das Restaurant war sehr gut besucht den Abend, daher einen Stern Abzug beim Ambiente aufgrund der Lautstärke. Wir kommen aber sehr gern wieder.

We went to the restaurant on two evenings because we liked it so much the first time. We decided on the Auntie’s Soulfood Journey and were surprised with really excellent food. At this point we would particularly like to highlight the strikingly friendly and committed Sina, who contributed to the perfect stay. On the second visit we decided again on the Auntie’s Soulfood Journey and pointed out which dish we had already had before. We then received great dishes again, although they didn't come close to the quality of the first visit. The service was also not quite as attentive and friendly as on the first visit. We weren't asked every now and then whether everything was okay and whether we liked it or offered a schnapps as a farewell - Sina seemed to have had the evening off...

We had dinner there twice during our stay at the hotel and tested the new winter menu. We are completely thrilled, not only by the really delicious food but also by the very attentive and friendly service!!!

So first of all, I didn't actually want to come here.😬 But it turned out to be 7 great overnight stays. The rooms are super comfortable and practically equipped, the restaurant is a must, delicious is an understatement. The breakfast buffet is also really good. The staff from reception to waitress are professionals and very friendly. I would like to highlight the “intern”. Celine, competent and customer-friendly, every employer can be happy to have someone like that on their team. The wonderful wellness area is also recommended: here you can expect a relaxed, super beautiful atmosphere with a unique view. In the “tower” opposite is the bar with a viewing terrace, a view of the salt marshes and the sea, which invites you to linger until 10 p.m. We will definitely come back and say to EVERYONE who works in urban nature: Thank you for this successful and relaxing holiday!

As guests of Urban Nature, we really wanted to try out the restaurant. We weren't disappointed! Friendly, courteous service and great food. The dip session as a starter was very rich, so the main course just fit in: the super delicious Tasty Butter Chicken. Unfortunately there was no more room for dessert. Another reason to come back.

Der Tisch war sehr schön zum Geburtstag eingedeckt. Ein toller Service des Hauses

Vorweg Brot und gesalzene Butter. Ich verstehe das Konzept der Brottüte nicht. Man sieht nichts. Macht sie doch etwas flacher. Dann, wenn es zwei Personen sind gebe ich vier Scheiben Brot. Drei ist seltsam. Und bitte das Brot frisch abschneiden und dabei die erste sehr dünne Scheibe weg tun (Küche verarbeitet das) aber keine angetrocknete Scheibe den Gästen reichen. Spätestens, wenn die Gäste Brot nachordern merken sie das es eigentlich saftig ist. Als Vorspeisen hatten wir das Wilde Gemüse und frittierte Muscheln. Das Gemüse war gut. Knackig, stark angebraten was exzellent zu der Limettenmayo passte. Diese ist angenehm subtil. Die Granatapfelkerne bringen eine tolle frische Note. Was fehlte ist denn noch eine leichte Schärfe und etwas mehr Salz. Dieses hätte das Gericht absolut abgerundet. Was mich nachhaltig wunderte ist aber das der Nachbartisch, welches das Gericht eine Stunde später bestellte, keinen Romanesco sondern wilden Brokkoli bekam. Das lässt mich etwas ratlos. Die Muscheln waren gut paniert. Aber auch hier fehlt die Spur Salz. Das Senfdressing darf intensiver sein. Vllt. etwas Kerbel hinzu. Von den Zwiebeln gerne mehr. Die Hauptgänge "Lamm" und "Korean Chicken". Ich war überrascht das das Lamm nur auf Humus kam. Die Pinienkerne gehen hier unter. Hier vllt über etwas schärfer gewürzt knusprige Kichererbsen nachdenken, welche die angenehm säuerlichen Granatapfelkerne, welche gut passten, flankieren. Das Lamm war ansonsten sehr gut. Herrlich gewürzt, absolut zart. Das Brot, bis auf die Tüte, super gut, fluffig und leicht warm. Absolut lecker. Das Chicken war toll. Gut gewürzt, toller Glaze. Herrlich zart mit knackigem Gemüse. Allerdings hier evtl nicht alles in einen Pot geben. Der Reis, als neutrale, "abkühlende" Komponente, neben dem intensiven Chicken zu reichenden wäre aus meiner Sicht sinnvoller.

Für uns bei jedem SPO-Aufenthalt mindestens 😉 einen Besuch wert. Tolle,frische Küche - Cross-over mit Pfiff; junges aber sehr aufmerksames & freundliches Service-Personal. Gerne wieder. SG

Wieder einmal top! Service überragend und freundlich, essen lecker und ausreichend.

Auf unseren Wunsch eines Tisches am Fenster wurde eingegangen. Die Vorspeisen waren hervorragend. Korean Style Chicken als Hauptgang war gut, das Butter Chicken für einen Klassiker leider etwas fad. Das Ambiente leidet an der Anzahl der Tische und der daraus entstehenden Akustik. Mit der offenen Küche entsteht bei voller Auslastung dadurch eher der Flair einer Kantine. Der Service wirkte damit ausgelastet wenn nicht sogar überfordert. Weitere Bestellungen und Wünsche nur auf Zurufen und nicht auf Nachfrage. Vorspeise kam nach 30min Bei der Auslastung verständlich. Der Hauptgang kam nach einer Beschwerde dann 90min nach Bestellung. Wir wurden wohl vergessen aber auch nicht beachtet. Entschuldigung und Erklärung dazu gab es sehr verhalten und erst auf Nachfrage. Bei dem Preisniveau hätte man das charmant mit einem weiteren Snack oder Getränkeangebot lösen können um die Zeit zu überbrücken. So entstand im Nachgang die Wirkung, dass an der Zufriedenheit des Kunden kein Interesse besteht.

Very courteous staff, pleasant atmosphere and overall good food. We shared the baked mussels (really delicious) as a starter and then had the lamb on hummus (excellent) and the trout as the main course. The trout with butter-roasted almond flakes and parsley was generally delicious, although the only side dish was a rather sour cabbage salad, which unfortunately consisted mostly of quite large, albeit thinly sliced, cabbage STRIPS (I personally remove this part at home when preparing the salad). . On the one hand, it was really difficult to eat and didn't suit my taste at all with the very fine, delicate taste of trout. I really would have liked a different, more suitable side dish. If that had been on the menu as a side dish, I wouldn't have ordered it either. But since the rest was really tasty, we gave it four stars for the food.

The food at Auntie Clara is super delicious, regardless of whether you have vegan, veggie or normal eating habits. If you're eating at Auntie for the first time, we recommend the menu, which offers something to try from a selection of all the current dishes on the menu: super tasty, diverse and international - but also regional - soul food, which is conjured up in the show kitchen. The meal is rounded off by the cool, mega-friendly and attentive service. We've already vacationed at Urban Nature a few times, so we really like the atmosphere - little ChiChi, but great taste on the plate (also at breakfast). THANKS! We'll be back :)

Wir waren auf Empfehlung hier und wurden nicht enttäuscht. Es hat uns sehr gut gefallen und geschmeckt. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und wir wurden sehr gut über die Gerichte und Getränke beraten. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und werden bestimmt mal wiederkommen.

Wir haben hier einen wirklich tollen Abend genossen! Zu Viert haben wir uns für 3 Vorspeisen und 3 Hauptgerichte entschieden, die Menge war perfekt. Zusammen mit einer Flasche Rosé und reichlich Wasser haben wir gut 45€ pro Person bezahlt und alles sehr genossen. Auch das Personal war super - freundlich und kannte sich mit Speis & Trank prima aus. Sollten wir wieder in die Gegend kommen, würden wir jederzeit wieder hier essen!

A sentence with "X"... Very nice and attentive service staff, seasoned with a good portion of confusion. Unfortunately, after a good starter and multiple requests for the drinks we ordered, we didn't get to the main course. This one was probably simply forgotten. After 1.5 hours, somewhat frustrated, we moved my wife's birthday to another location. It should be mentioned that we were NOT charged and everything eaten up to that point was on the house. Thank you for that! A kindly meant tip to the restaurant management - the mostly, apparently very young service employees seem to be trying hard and very friendly, but there is somehow a lack of leadership and role models. I also didn't really understand why tables are worked on by several people, so perhaps the confusion is a bit inevitable. Anyway, I believe in your concept and your cuisine, so now it just needs to be a little more structured.

Das Essen hat sehr gut geschmeckt. Der Getränke Service war unterirdisch schlecht. Die Mitarbeiter scheinen die Tisch Nummern nicht zu kennen, und suchen verzweifelt Abnehmer für die Getränke.

Super Essen. Tolle Bedienung….. leider sind die Weinpreise etwas zu sehr multipliziert. 😉

Schönes und einfaches Konzept: Einfach nur qualitativ hochwertige Grundzutaten verwenden, mit geschicktem Handwerk verfeinern und ohne Schnörkel servieren. Nachfragen nach Unverträglichkeiten wurden kompetent abgearbeitet, Änderung der Beilagen war kein Problem. Die Tellersprache wird dies Lokal, gelegen in einem mondänen Hotel, nicht zu einem Stern führen, aber einen BigGourmet hat das Team alle mal verdient.

Das Essen war ausgezeichnet und wirklich überraschend in Zubereitung und Präsentation. Die Weinkarte hat sehr gute Qualität und auch biodynamische und spontanvergorene Weine. Das gibt ein großes Extra Lob. Der Service war freundlich aber Aufmerksamkeit und Verbundenheit mit dem Gast ist ausbaufähig. Insgesamt ist es eine gute Empfehlung und wir kommen wieder.

Nice place, trying hard for a city vibe. The food is nice, fresh, and regional. The only confusing thing is that the restaurant markets itself as soul food, which generally makes me think of Black cuisine native to the American South.

Dieses Lokal fehlte dem Ort Sankt Peter Ording! Wir wurden herzlich empfangen und unseren Jahrestag wurde abgerundet mit einem grandiosen Essen. Super gewürzt alles was auf der Karte steht ist eingelöst! Wir haben ein Stammlokal gefunden! Vielen Dank an den Chefkoch der uns einen köstlichen Nachtisch spendierte! We live in St. Peter and really enjoy coming to Urban Nature and Auntie Clara because we simply feel at home there. The dishes are all delicious and the drinks are high quality. The service is professional & fun. Afterwards there is usually a concert in the backstage area or a DJ in the magnificent rooftop bar. The atmosphere is relaxed and the guest is always the focus... Special requests are not seen as a nuisance, but as a challenge and are happy to be fulfilled. ... the wedding celebration of our daughter and daughter-in-law will remain unforgettable forever

Wir waren schon zum 5ten Mal hier und es war wie immer köstlich und toll. Einziger Kritikpunkt sind die Auswahl der Kindergerichte (gerne etwas mehr Gemüse) und ihre Größe (für etwas größere Kinder sehr wenig). Aber das sehen eher die Eltern und nicht die Kids ;)

The dishes on the menu are beautifully presented, surprising, flattering in aroma and prepared with maximum care for the ingredients. Our tops: Starters: The risotto ball, the veggie party, shrimp Dessert: Carrot cake with turmeric ice cream - a revelation!, strawberry cream crumb delight. We would like a recipe book and will definitely come back!

Nice restaurant, we ate here on Thursday evening and reserved in advance. Overall, there was relatively little going on, about 10 tables were occupied, so it would certainly have been possible without a reservation. You can park your bikes on the promenade, the hotel/restaurant itself does not have bike racks. The atmosphere is modern and very appealing. The kitchen is more modern with a focus on dishes that are meant to be shared with the table. We have and for the menu p.p. 49€ decided. The starter was pita with 3 dips and a colorful salad with pine nuts. The main course was butternut chicken with Y-cut fish. A dessert was also included in the menu. The quality was great and everything tasted great! Will definitely come back!

Das Essen war hervorragend. Das ist wirklich das passende Wort, um die Gerichte in diesem Restaurant zu beschreiben. So lecker haben wir seit Langem nicht mehr gegessen. Das Prinzip von Teilen hat uns auch sehr gut gefallen, da wir ohnehin immer das machen. Toll und weiterzuempfehlen!

I am a guest at the hotel and have been to the restaurant for dinner twice. It was ok the first time, I would have liked it spicier. I expected more from the baked mussels, they weren't seasoned enough for me, but it's just a matter of taste. I had the roast veal, which was in the oven for too long and totally dry! It's a shame I was expecting more, the best thing was the glazed carrots. What the lettuce leaves were supposed to be on the meal, I have no idea. For me the food wasn't worth the money.

Sehr gutes Essen, wenn auch nicht herausragend, der Service war erst vielversprechend, hat uns (und andere) dann in Sachen Getränke über den Abend allerdings leider des Öfteren vergessen... Schade. Trotzdem eine Empfehlung!

A top-class menu...incredibly delicious and every course a surprise...the service was super nice and attentive. Requests and intolerances are responded to immediately...again at any time!...the ambience was too modern for me personally, but that's certainly a matter of opinion. But the restaurant is definitely recommended!

Unfortunately we were unlucky, the service and food that evening left a lot of room for improvement. Table reservation due to a special occasion at 7.30 p.m., arrival at 7.35 p.m., first contact with the service person at the table at 7.55 p.m., immediate order as previously informed on the internet. In the meantime salted butter and 3 thin slices of baguette, when asked to receive bread again, it had to be freshly baked first, 10 minutes later baked gray bread with a hard, charred crust (an older lady at the next table was unable to break this bread) . Menu for 49€ per person, selection of starters (cold) after 40! minutes. Each choice of 3 starters and 3 main courses, trying to bring the taste of the Middle East to the table. Anyone who knows authentic Lebanese or North African food will be disappointed. Plus a €6 wine on the menu for an impressive €39, which is nothing more than a simple country wine! No ! To put it briefly, IT CAN BE BETTER, also in Eiderstedt. Remarkable effort, but I can't agree with the positive reviews. Giving away the water and coffee for free doesn't help either. NOT recommended, especially not for a special occasion. Best regards

Ich war alleine essen im Restaurant. Der Service war hervorragend. Man hat mir einen guten Platz gegeben, mich mit der Weinauswahl gut beraten und auch das Essen war wirklich gut.

Wir hatten mehr erwartet. Das Essen war nichts besonderes, dafür zu teuer. Das Personal in meinen Augen etwas zu „überfreundlich“. 😉 Die Atmosphäre zu unruhig.
