We chose this restaurant based on its predominantly positive Google reviews. The restaurant itself consists of one large room with an open kitchen. The decor is spartan, with simple chairs and tables. So far, so good; depending on your taste, you might like it. The dim atmosphere can also be perceived as pleasant, but you need to be able to read the menu, which was almost impossible at our table. I was actually tempted to turn on my phone's flashlight to read it. (Bring your key.) The dish I ordered, "Curry Butter Chicken," was served about 10 minutes after we ordered, which led us to suspect that the food wasn't freshly prepared. The taste of the chicken and the sauce was more than disappointing. The two pieces of meat were tough, chewy, and could only be cut with considerable effort; the term "shoe sole" perfectly describes the texture of the meat. The sauce itself tasted like a ready-made sauce from a discount supermarket and was on par with fast-food quality. Charging €26 for this dish is, in my opinion, outrageous. The staff, who were certainly trying their best, claimed the sauce was freshly prepared, which I find hard to believe after reading other reviews of the dish. Be careful when choosing the water option: it's charged per person and turns out to be quite expensive.

I've lost count of how many times we've eaten here... probably more than 15 times 🤭😅 You could easily eat here several times during a week's holiday and never get bored. Everything tastes so good that you just want to try the other dishes on the menu. The crispy mussels are especially divine 🥹 and I love how harmonious and well-balanced all the dishes are. I've also received some great wine recommendations here. The service is incredibly warm and welcoming, sometimes a little forgetful, but that's easily forgiven. We've already made several reservations over Christmas week and I'm really looking forward to indulging in the new menu 😍

The food was really very good. We opted for the sharing dinner. Based on the description, we were expecting many small dishes. However, we only received two main courses. They tasted very good, but we were expecting a journey through your menu, as described. So, please offer smaller portions and more variety in the future. I recommend the Soulfood sharing menu. You get a great mix of different dishes, and you can specify your preferences beforehand. At €55, it's excellent value for money. Some of the flavor combinations are truly sophisticated; not all of it is high-end cuisine, but the craftsmanship is very good. I especially enjoyed the panna cotta with tart berries and a crunchy topping, as the dessert was pleasantly understated.

We had the surprise menu. It was tasty, but in my opinion, not worth the price. The atmosphere was a bit different in a hall with a high noise level, but it didn't bother us too much. There were a lot of staff, many of whom seemed to be student assistants, so sometimes they didn't know what the others were doing. It was a shame that the birthday we were celebrating wasn't acknowledged at all, even though the receptionist knew about it and congratulated us. So, definitely recommended, with the caveat that the price doesn't quite match the quality of the food.

It's all a matter of taste, and we enjoyed our meal. Upon entering, the ambiance reminded me of the Timberjack model (Fulda & Kassel). A spacious layout, modern style, inviting lighting, a lively atmosphere... exactly my/our kind of place. The service was perfect. From the initial consultation to fulfilling special requests: top-notch. We have rarely experienced such attentive and efficient service staff. For example, our table was wiped down after each course by the staff members who happened to be passing by. So, far from "it's not my table, who cares?" We always ordered a portion for two because we wanted to try a few different dishes without overeating. The food was perfectly prepared and absolutely spot on. We were here two years ago and enjoyed the delicious food, the ambiance, the live cooking station, and especially the incredibly friendly service. We're from Berlin, and I can only say: if there were a restaurant like this there, it would be my regular haunt! :) And the icing on the cake for us was Beya!! Best service ever! :) We were there for the second time tonight, and she greeted my son and me so warmly, as if we were old friends! It couldn't be better! The waiters were very friendly and tried to accommodate every special request. Beya, in particular, was very prompt and attentive. We were welcome guests, even with small children. The atmosphere is rather loud and hectic, but that's not meant to be derogatory; there were about 20 of us there, so it actually suited us. Of course, that's a matter of taste. However, we can definitely recommend it.

We ate at Auntie Clara on our first evening in Sankt Peter-Ording. The open kitchen is a real eye-catcher. We opted for the "sharing is caring" menu. The cuisine uses local products, is authentic, and very tasty. The restaurant manager and chef are real people and know what they're doing. Some courses were explained to us in great detail; the lamb meatballs with homemade yogurt bread and chive oil are particularly noteworthy. The desserts are the chef's own creations and are superb, especially the blueberry sorbet. The wine list is small but good. Allergies were catered for! We really enjoyed the evening and will definitely come back. Thank you for the lovely evening!

The food was unfortunately terrible. The starter, "Surf & Turf"—according to the menu, roasted veal was pink, but it turned out to be cold cuts with tuna mayo. The main course, "Pasta Basta," was greasy, soft pasta balls with mayo or some kind of cheese paste. Tasted terrible. The dessert, a berry tart, wasn't a highlight either, but at least it was edible. It's a shame the menu promised a lot, but unfortunately, it couldn't deliver.

The steak was excellent, but not quite cooked to perfection; it could have rested a bit longer. We really liked the location; it had a relaxed and modern atmosphere. Generally good food and friendly young people. But today the service was a bit chaotic. First, we waited for 20 minutes to order. Then the lemon we ordered for the water didn't arrive. The beef with porcini and mushrooms unfortunately came without any porcini, and the rösti was buried under meat and sauce and no longer had the right amount of roasted goodness.

Overall, it was good again. Unfortunately, the fish was sold out and there was no alternative. The Tasty Butter Chicken was very tasty (like last year), with a pleasant spiciness. The advertised tiramisu was unfortunately not available for dessert either.

At Auntie Clara in SPO, we had one of those evenings you remember for a long time. We all opted for the surprise menu – three courses, all to share, all placed right in the middle of the table. Even the waiter grinned and said, "It's going to be a lot, really a lot." And he was right. It got better with each course. Each plate was like a small work of art, and we tried everything. Sometimes fresh and light, sometimes truly hearty – and every time we felt that "Wow, how good is this?!" On the recommendation of one of the many friendly waiters, we ordered the Soulfood Journey for 2 people. 55 Euro per person seems a bit expensive, but after a fantastic evening with an abundance of dishes, we agree that it is cheap compared to the quality of the food, quantity and service from the young, well-informed waiters. Our celebration of our 20th wedding anniversary could not have been held in a better place! Upon arrival, we also received a delicious aperitif as a gift..! Thank you very much!! We have eaten at Noma, several Michelin restaurants - and can only confirm that Auntie Clara matches these places! A restaurant worth driving to! We will be back!

Unfortunately, the dish (hamshuka) was brought incomplete. I had to wait 15 minutes for the pita bread to be refilled. In that time, the hamshuka cooled down. I had to ask several times before it was finally brought. My companion and I couldn't eat the main course together. It was also unfortunate that we had three different waiters at the table, which made everything seem a little mixed up. The youngest waitress also seemed unmotivated and placed the (very delicious) food on the table in a moody manner...

Amazing food. Also many delicious vegetarian options. Must try: the cauliflower dish, chicken masala and the sheep cheese salad with cucumber.

The venue has a modern style with some large tables for sharing, but it's still cozy. The service was extremely good. The staff was super friendly and very knowledgeable. Everyone there was very friendly, in a genuine, kind way! Our server, Beya, was especially kind, courteous, and professional, something you rarely experience. The menu isn't very extensive, but you get truly top-notch quality. You can tell that the food is still cooked with love and good ingredients. That's unfortunately the absolute exception these days. We had dinner at Auntie Clara on May 21st. The service was very attentive and friendly! The starters were very, very good, especially the salad with warm feta cheese. The main courses (lamb and cauliflower) were very good. Only the dessert was somehow off-putting. We thought the value for money was really good, but the 12 euros for the biscuit with cream cheese and honey wasn't quite right. Otherwise, we look forward to our next visit. If you're looking for modern cuisine with great service, this is the place for you!

The slightly different restaurant!!! Like most of the guests, we had the soul food menu. This is a surprise menu across the entire menu. Really very interesting and you get dishes that you would probably never have ordered. The restaurant has an open kitchen, which is very interesting for guests. You can watch the three chefs preparing the food and you can tell straight away that this is not an easy job. The waitresses are very quick. However, it's not always easy to recognize because only some of them wear hotel T-shirts. The others also like to walk around in denim jackets or baggy surf shirts. But, as I said, everyone is traveling very quickly. However, the restaurant, like the hotel, is very hip and geared towards young guests. This is also the language spoken there. To be honest, I (50) only understood half of what the boys and girls told us while serving. I struggled to understand what “sharing is caring” or “finding each other” was trying to tell me. No matter...just nod in a friendly manner 😂😂😂 It was a very interesting evening in a slightly different world. You should do it if you are in SPO. Normal restaurants can be found everywhere, this one only in SPO. 😂

We booked the “Auntie Clara Journey”. The food was quite tasty, there was a bit of everything. However, we would have liked to have had something explained to us about what was on the table. We would also have liked more attentive service. At times no attention was paid to which gear we already had/needed to get. Some of the dessert variations were already sold out & it looked like they had thrown together leftovers. The price-performance ratio isn't quite right.

In any case, we can recommend the Auntie Clara. We ate very well. The warm starter was delicate and aromatic, the two main courses were also delicious. Beya gave us great advice and pampered us, thank you for the warm service. Dear Auntie Team, keep it up.
