The evening in the “Am Sommerdeich” restaurant was more than just a successful evening in every respect. Everything is top notch, perfect and we promise we will definitely be back. Recommended - Everything!!!

Simply great!! A really super friendly service with really great humor. The food was very, very tasty. You can really recommend the restaurant. Really great atmosphere and great food.

We couldn't understand why it was relatively empty in the early evening on Saturday. We have just enjoyed a great meal with very friendly hosts. We didn't take any photos. Better go and try it yourself. The journey from SPO Dorf to SPO is worth it. TOP. We'll be back.

Service was great and friendly, starter was nice, main course was OK (and also relatively expensive). So it was good, but I didn't find the exceptionally positive overall rating understandable.

We have eaten here several times, unfortunately the quality is extremely variable, hence the bad rating. Last time we had excellent starters (tuna and beef carpaccio), but the main courses lacked quality. The spaghetti aglio e olio was missing both aglio and olio and the chanterelles were served with a horrible ready-made sauce and ready-made scrambled eggs.

Not only do you have König Pilsner here, the waitress has her own wonderful sense of humor... I really appreciate something like that and it relaxes you immensely Great ambience and the kitchen is really impressive… I can only recommend taking a look here and enjoying… Even those with a sweet tooth will find something delicious about all the desserts...

Very nice (and for us senior manager) staff, family run. Very attentive and accommodating. The food is freshly prepared and the selection of dishes stands out from the other places in St. Peter, which is a very positive thing.

We have been to the “Am Sommerdeich” restaurant several times and are always thrilled, both by the food - which stands out from the other offerings in SPO - and by the above-average friendly and warm service! We always look forward to the delicious and freshly prepared dishes, which are always a visual feast for the eyes! We wish the operators continued success - we will definitely be back!

Hello everyone, at the beginning I can't understand the opinions that it tastes good here. I am an amateur chef and always try to cook with love. I should have listened to my first impression and looked farther away. The service was nice and ok. The food was cruel and made without love. Tafelspitz was far too dry. The chanterelles had sand in their food. My son's fries were black. I'm not a person who doesn't express his opinion. My wife didn't want that. But if they don't know that this was a mess then nothing will change. I told them exactly what I wrote here. Hopefully something will change. The price/performance ratio here was also completely exaggerated (far too high). Small portions with bad taste. I always tip, but I couldn't here. To the restaurant, please change this as I told you otherwise I see no future. Unfortunately I won't be coming back.

Due to the numerous very good reviews, we tested the Restaurant Am Sommerdeich and were really impressed. First of all we ordered the fish soup. This was the best fish soup we have ever had in a restaurant. It was served with an excellent rouille and toasted baguette. The panfish platter and the sea bream were also very tasty. The light dressing with which the side salad was dressed was convincing. The whole thing was rounded off with delicious dessert variations. I would also like to mention the polite service and the greetings from the kitchen. Unfortunately, this politeness is no longer a given today. The prices are reasonable. If we are in SPO again, we would definitely come here again.

We enjoyed a wonderful evening in the summer dike. The restaurant is an asset to Sankt Peter Ording. The quality and taste of the food is excellent and the service is very warm and courteous. A clear recommendation and we would be happy to come back. Thank you!

Excellent restaurant a little away from the main tourist crowds. We were attracted by the excellent reviews and they have been confirmed. The food was excellent, only superior star cuisine can be beaten. The fish was tender, on point and highly recommended. The sauce is foamed, light and very suitable. As a Rhinelander, I have to say that I will miss the fried potatoes very much! The best I've ever had in a restaurant! The service was excellent. Overall, it's a 4.7 (there's no such thing as perfect 😉).

It was a really great experience. Starting with the host who were very friendly, obliging and communicative and a great food experience with fresh fish and ingredients and self-made ice cream. My favorite was the lime-basil ice cream. I recommend this location anytime again.

Since the reopening in the renovated rooms of the former trattoria, the daughter of the former owner has taken over the management together with her husband. The generational change has not harmed the quality of the food. The menu offers a decent selection and the preparation shows that the chef knows his craft. The boss serves in a friendly manner and genuinely cares about the well-being of her guests. The renovation and restructuring of the facility has benefited the ambience: the rooms have become brighter and more spacious. My recommendation: don't just visit the Sommerdeich during your summer vacation, as it is also open outside of the holiday season.

An all-round successful evening. Super friendly and attentive service, quality & taste very good and a reasonable price-performance ratio. I ate a lamb fillet that was fried to perfection. Perfectly medium. My husband had a pasta daily special. Very tasty, he told me. The homemade 🍨 ice cream rounded off the dinner. We made reservations again for this evening. :-)

We spent a few days in SPO and since we were there two weeks before the official season opening, not all the restaurants were open. We only came across the Am Sommerdeich restaurant by chance. The ambience is rather simple, and you won't find the maritime shabby chic that otherwise seems to be popular there. But you will be welcomed very warmly and given a menu that everyone should find what they are looking for. We had fish and meat, both were freshly prepared and tasted excellent. There was also dessert and I have to say that I didn't expect that even the fantastic sorbet was homemade. In any case, the price-performance ratio is absolutely right here, which cannot be said about the entire gastronomy scene in the SPO. Unreservedly recommended.

We ended up here by chance - a stroke of luck! The food was very tasty. Intolerances were responded to in a relaxed and totally flexible manner. The service was top and very friendly. Unlike some other SPO restaurants, you will be welcomed very warmly as a guest here. We felt very comfortable and also had a delicious dessert at the end. We will definitely come back on our next SPO vacation.

Perfekter kann es für uns nicht sein! Mittlerweile ist es unser Lieblingsrestaurant in SPO geworden! Es ist wie "nach Hause" kommen, so lieb werden wir immer von Maria und Nico empfangen. Das Essen ist hervorragend und jeden Cent wert! Durch die zusätzlichen Tagesgerichte und die wechselnde Wochenkarte, wird es nie langweilig. Bitte macht weiter so 💙 Bis bald!

Wir waren am 21.09. hier und das Essen war sehr geil. Glutenfrei war gar kein Problem. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder.

Hier haben wir auf der Terrasse ein schönes Geburtstagsessen eingenommen. Schöne kleine Karte sowie Tagesangebote, alle 3 Gänge waren richtig gut, vorab gab es Brot mit einer leckeren Kräuterbutter. Das Personal war sehr nett und herzlich und sehr aufmerksam - es gab hauseigenes Mückenspray, als es später wurde; auf meine Aussage, dass ich nicht weiß, ob ich so spät noch einen Cappuccino trinken sollte, wurde mir sofort angeboten, dass es auch koffeinfreien gibt. Es war ein sehr schöner Abend und das Restaurant steht auf der "gerne noch mal"-Liste. Als einzigen Wunsch würde ich anführen, dass es super wäre, wenn es auch einen alkoholfreien Aperetif/Cocktail gäbe.

Insgesamt hatten wir ein köstliches Abendessen mit einem sehr freundlichen Service. Wer abseits von Pommes und FastFood Lust auf sehr gute Küche hat, ist hier richtig. Das Ambiente ist leider etwas kühl und das Preisniveau fast ein wenig zu hoch. Dennoch absolut zu empfehlen!

Im Vergleich zum letzten Jahr eine klare Verbesserung. Die Karte ist jetzt weniger extravagant, aber das war eine gute Entscheidung. Der Service ist immer noch Spitze.

Wer auf gutes Essen steht, ist hier genau richtig. Von der Vorspeise bis zum Dessert ist alles perfekt. Dazu wird man freundlich empfangen und der Service ist sehr aufmerksam. Wir hatten einen sehr schönen Abend in lockerer Atmosphäre.

Super Kalbsleber Berliner Art und eine toll gebratene Dorade sowie ein sehr netter und freundlicher Service.

Super Küche, angemessene Preise, sehr freundliche Bedienung

Maria, Bart und Arne, Eure Desserts sind der Hammer!!! Das sage ich, die nie und ich meine nie, ein Dessert möchte. Karamellisierte weiße Schokolade oder Karamellschokoladensplitter, besser geht es nicht. Vom Rest der Karte will ich gar nicht anfangen zu schwärmen, dafür reicht der Platz nicht. Ihr seid wirklich klasse !!!

Ein Lichtblick in der sonst tristen Gastroszene in SPO. Bereits beim sehr herzlichen Empfang fühlte man sich willkommen. Sowohl die Vorspeisen als auch alle Hauptgerichte, wir hatten Fisch und Fleisch, waren sehr gut. Selbst der Beilagensalat war mit Liebe und sehr leckerem Dressing gemacht. Dem Team merkt man an, dass Gastronomie hier gelebt wird und man Gäste als solche sieht und man sie nicht schnell anfertigen möchte. Wor kommen gerne wieder um die Gastlichkeit zu genießen

Einfach ein tolles Restaurant! Freundliche Bedienung, schneller Service und das Essen ist wunderschön Angerichtet und auf hohem Niveau. Habe dort die beste Crème brûlée gegessen bisher. Einfach empfehlenswert ☺️
