Bavarian brewery ambience in Cologne. Friendly and quick service. Great light beer at an excellent temperature and delicious food (hock). The point of criticism is the miserable acoustics. There's no need to go here to talk when the house is full. Reservation is absolutely recommended.

The “Augustiner am Heumarkt” in Cologne offers a pleasant mix of indoor and outdoor seating, so you can be flexible depending on the weather. The friendly service was generally positive, but we had a small problem at the beginning: Unfortunately, we weren't served outside at all, even though we were sitting right next to a table of the service staff and they had seen us. Once we decided to sit inside, things went much faster. A big plus point is the restaurant's baby-friendliness. It is easily accessible with a stroller and the staff was very accommodating. The food itself was tasty and the portions were a good size. After we ordered, the food was served quite quickly. Overall, Augustiner am Heumarkt is a solid choice for a good meal in Cologne, even if the service could have been a little better initially. The quality of the food and the quick service inside still make it a recommended place, especially for families.

I came here for dinner three times this week, twice directly from GamesCom. I always got a seat straight away and the food came quickly and tasted great. The staff was very attentive. When I'm back in Cologne, I'll be happy to come back

A great Bavarian restaurant close to a lot of the bars and the riverside. The bread board is a great starter for a group of 6 and the meals are very filling! Would recommend getting the Augustiner hell to try a Bavarian beer!

This is a restaurant where you can enjoy traditional cuisine from southern Germany. There is an English menu. It's delicious, but be careful not to order too much as it's big!
