Ervis was our waiter and he was great. I had the Rindergulasch. It was cooked to perfection. Meine totcher ordered off the asparagus menu and devoured the quiche. Both meals were fantastic. Such a great time.

An absolute highlight – simply a celebration! What an incredible experience! As soon as we entered the restaurant we immediately felt welcomed by the warm and enthusiastic reception of the staff. All employees were extremely friendly, attentive and clearly enjoyed their work. This positive atmosphere was noticeable at every moment and made the evening special. The service was simply first class: fast, courteous and always with a genuine smile. We never had to wait long, everything went smoothly, as if they had already suspected our wishes before we expressed them. And then the food… a real taste explosion! We enjoyed a perfectly fried schnitzel - wonderfully crispy on the outside, wonderfully juicy on the inside - artfully arranged on a bed of fresh, perfectly cooked asparagus. Every detail was spot on, from the appealing presentation to the fantastic taste. Plus a delicious drink - our evening couldn't have been nicer. You can simply feel that the work here is done with passion and real attention to detail. We left the restaurant with a big smile and a completely satisfied feeling - and are already looking forward to our next visit. An absolute recommendation for everyone who loves good food, warm people and a wonderful atmosphere! In short: an evening that we will not soon forget. We give it a straight 10

The sausages were good, the crispy pork elbow was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, but it was slightly below expectations, the skin was a little salty, and we sat outdoors, so it quickly dried out and hardened.

Recommendation. If all of Cologne's restaurants are full, you might be able to get a table here. Beer and food wonderful. Nothing to complain about!

The roasted pig's trotters are crispy and crispy but not too hard. It's so delicious. Although it's a bit salty, it goes well with beer. You can order a half portion of the pig's trotters and even a girl can finish it. I am an Asian dwarf, so the store clerk probably thought I was a child and gave me the smallest beer, which was just enough for my appetite haha

All in all . Top service. Food is good, but it would be interesting to know why it is ready so quickly? Microwave?

The quality of the food was excellent. I had half a pork knuckle and my husband had a Wiener Schnitzel. The prices are okay for the quality. Quality just costs a little more. The restaurant is very large, but also has a large outdoor area. The staff is polite, very attentive and never seems stressed or annoyed with the many guests. BE SURE TO RESERVE A TABLE IN ADVANCE!

I would have liked to rate the quality of the food, but we were ignored even though people walked past us and tried to draw attention to ourselves. There wasn't much going on, two different employees cleverly ignored us. We know the Augustiner from other cities, things are different there. The employees are on their toes, unlike here.

I recently had a fantastic experience at Augustiner and I really want to share my experience. I went there to eat and enjoyed the famous Augustiner beer, but what really impressed me was the food. I ordered the Augustiner veal schnitzel and it was simply delicious. The schnitzel was perfectly cooked, the breading was crispy and the meat was juicy. I was wondering how they manage to make such a schnitzel. Snack: The portion was enormous! I got a huge snack that consisted of different types of bread, cheese, sausage and other delicacies. It was just too much food for one person, but I didn't complain. The employees at Augustiner were also very nice. They were friendly and attentive and took care of all my needs. I felt like I was at home. The atmosphere in the Augustiner was also very pleasant. It was a bit noisy, but that's normal for a Bavarian pub. The decoration was traditionally Bavarian and I felt like I was transported back to the old days. Overall, my visit to the Augustiner was a complete success. I enjoyed delicious food, a large beer and a great atmosphere. I can only recommend Augustiner and will certainly go there again. I would like to thank the Augustiner staff for their kindness and attention. You made my visit an unforgettable experience. I can only warmly recommend Augustiner. It's a must for anyone who loves Bavarian cuisine and atmosphere. I will certainly go again and recommend to others. I hope that Augustiner continues to maintain this high level and that I can go there again soon. Haksen is really delicious. Crunchy crunchy! How did they make the inside so moist??? The wurst is delicious, but if you eat it all at once, it smells a bit. You have to cut it into small pieces and eat it. It's a shame I couldn't have beer...

Classic Augustinian restaurant in the middle of Cologne. Food and of course beer are highly recommended. Service as always quick and friendly. Prices are completely acceptable for Cologne conditions. You can't go wrong here, regardless of whether you want to have a quick drink or just stay for dinner.

Pub type restaurant! The beers were delicious matched with any of the mains (we had schnitzel, pork knuckle and pork roast). Finished off with the pancakes and ice cream. Overall a well rounded restaurant - worth a visit if you are ever in town.

Was with a few people in the Augustiner at Heumarkt. Unfortunately, the soup tasted a lot like Maggi - if you like it, you will be satisfied, but I was expecting a little more. Otherwise the taste was okay, but nothing special. Unfortunately, the sauerkraut came cold on the plate - that could be better. Especially with a traditional dish, you expect everything to be served hot. Not everyone in our group was entirely convinced by the food. Service was friendly, but overall the experience wasn't entirely convincing. 2.5 stars – there’s definitely room for improvement. Maybe it just wasn't the best day in the kitchen.

You don't even know where to start. It can't really be described as an insider tip, with an absolutely justified 4.7 stars from over 4,500 reviews. This makes it, along with Lommi, the current leader when it comes to breweries in Cologne. And rightly so. The food is absolutely great. I've now tried almost all the dishes on the menu and they all tasted good. Particularly noteworthy are the knuckle and goulash. The veal schnitzel, the snack or the meat salad are also great. There is also a wide selection of beers that are simply delicious. As a local patriot from Cologne, I almost feel sorry for our local breweries, but in my opinion the Augustiner puts most of them in the shade by miles. The service here is also top notch. Although it is always very crowded here, you never have to wait long for your beer or food. There are really enough waiters here and they are friendly too. People also tend to tip a little more there than elsewhere. And you have to say that the prices are also very reasonable. Calculated per liter, the beer here is even cheaper than the Kölsch in the surrounding breweries. And I also think the prices for the food are justified. All in all, we can only recommend the Augustiner to both locals and tourists. Please do NOT change anything about your concept, then you will continue to be successful.

Brewery culture that is in no way inferior to that in Munich. Don't be put off by the bratwurst for €20. The plate is big and full. You can't get Kölsch here. The waitress was always in a good mood, but she could have earned twice as much if she had stopped.

Southern German home cooking. The beer and wine are delicious, and the atmosphere is highly recommended for those who are visiting Germany for the first time. You can eat and drink for around 30 euros per person. Also, there is no problem at all if you bring your children with you.

The staff was attentive, friendly, and managed everything even when it was crowded. The beer: freshly tapped, truly delicious, and with a unique touch. The food was also impressive – hearty, homemade, and very tasty. However, the portions are huge, but also expensive.

Yesterday, I was there for the first time. It was very good, but also very crowded. A small menu, friendly and attentive service, perfect beer temperature, and the prices were reasonable for the old town. The only problem is the restrooms, which are a bit chaotic; they need to seat someone. We had a reservation, and I don't think it's possible these days, or it's very difficult to do without one. We really enjoyed it, and the Augustiner is sure to become a highlight of Cologne's old town. I'm deducting one star because of the restrooms. Once they get that under control, it'll be five full stars. Update: Unfortunately, I had to delete one star. You apparently can't get the restroom problem under control. We were there on March 28, 2025, from 7:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. Such a poor restroom situation really detracts from the dining experience. No toilet paper, no paper towels, and the restrooms looked like a highway parking lot.
