We were traveling with 9 people.....we were able to reserve a table with you....for lunch.....for the evening....and it was cozy, friendly staff...great!

Poor, rude service. Had to flag people down to seat us, give us a menu and take our order, and to pay. Waiter was on his phone the whole time and multiple people were waving their cards in the air for him to come over. The food was mediocre and I wouldn’t recommend.

A group of us dined here while in Dresden for the Christmas markets. We all really enjoyed the food and the great atmosphere. I had the cheese soup and the original Wiener schnitzel, both of which were delicious. My friends had the stuffed schnitzel and loved it. Portions are very generous and we left feeling very full. Service was also really friendly.

The waitress Beverly was so accommodating and super friendly. The entire staff is of course very friendly. I just want to highlight Beverly

After the move, back in a rustic atmosphere. The food is good, but there are technical weaknesses in the service. Our order had to be placed three times. The employees remained friendly.

Pork knuckle was definitely the highlight here. Salad was fine too. Potato soup I would call slightly boring. Liver dumpling soup was extremely salty and the water had to be skipped entirely. Service was friendly and helpful.

We were warmly welcomed by a super nice service person. Unfortunately everything on the ground floor was full so we were kindly directed to the first floor of the restaurant. There is a lift that you can take if you are not too good on foot. There was also a friendly waitress on the 2nd floor who showed us straight to a table. A little later she came to take our drinks and food. We both had Nuremberg bratwurst with mashed potatoes and sauerkraut. Just super delicious.👍 The menu is very diverse. We like to come and can recommend it to others.

The place is very characteristic; we enjoyed all 4 dishes served. The staff is attentive and kind, overall it was a great first time. We will definitely be back 😄👍🏼

We did not have a reservation but they placed us aside bar instantly. They have their own beer with the option of alcohol free which was our choice ofc. It was delicious. Cheese soup is a must as well as veal schnitzel (original). Atmosphere of the place is very authentic like you are in medievil times. 10/10 place! Only problem was one fella came with a pitbull without a mouthguard even there did not any problem its a health hazard.

On Saturday, November 23rd, 2024, we were guests at the "Augustiner" at the Frauenkirche and luckily we made reservations in advance. We received a great welcome and felt really comfortable during our stay. Even though it was our first time in the house, we felt like regular guests. The waiter was very quick, always had a nice little saying on his lips and was totally likeable. My 1/4 goose was just as delicious as my wife's duck. Of course, the light Augustiner couldn't be missed and we were happy to order it several times in a pleasant atmosphere. But we can also recommend the Williams house schnapps. Conclusion: A successful evening in a great brewery restaurant in a great location. We'd love to come back!

As always, very good and well attended. Of course, this also makes it very lively.

The Schweinhaxen was Bavarian-style, with a high percentage of crispy exterior. It was very delicious. For beer, Helles is good, but I recommend Edelstoff. The Nuremberg sausages were okay, although they lacked the smoky flavor and juiciness of local Nuremberg sausages.

Scrumptious original Weiner schnitzel. It was a big portion and most definitely delicious. It comes up with berry sauce which is perfect with the schnitzel.

A 10/10. We received a super friendly welcome. The staff was very attentive and courteous the entire time. We felt really comfortable, so after our lunch we came for the evening. The food is great (the cheese soup is really great and recommended), the beer anyway and the Aperol was delicious and in a large glass. The prices are okay, you're in the middle of the old town. So we come here again 👍

I was really excited about the restaurant. Packed to capacity and yet no long waiting times. The food was really tasty and plentiful. I'd love to go there again.

The outdoor area is currently a little larger, and around 5 p.m. a barrel of Bavarian beer is loudly tapped. The employees are all nice, the food tastes good and there is always a wet bowl for dogs.

With its location, service, and renewed and clean decoration, it definitely deserves to be a frequent destination. The menu is not very tourist-friendly, I think there were no foreign tourists inside except us...

Everything worked out great. Table was reserved, staff friendly and quick. It's normal for things to be a little louder and more hectic in a tourist hotspot like this.

First of all, the food was delicious, and although it was a restaurant I went to on a tour, everyone was friendly, it was nice that Haksen allowed half-size orders, and the white sausage was very delicious. I was surprised by the salt mayonnaise that can only be found here. And it wasn't too salty overall, so it suited my taste. I plan to go again if I go to Dresden.

Nice Bavarian restaurant with delicious food. You should make reservations as a group, as it can be very full, especially on weekends.

Wide selection of beer. For those who like inventions like Jagermeister or Beherovka, I recommend trying Augustiner Tropfen Kräuterlikör

Rating for Augustin Dresden I have been a regular at Augustin Dresden for years since it opened and have always appreciated the ambience and the beer. But my last visit was the absolute lowest point in terms of cuisine - unfortunately the food is no longer recommended. The schnitzel? The smell alone suggested that the meat was not entirely fresh. The meat itself was dry and tough, accompanied by a bland, compressed lump of obazda that was completely tasteless and lifeless. Instead of a classic potato salad, a strange mashed potato with cucumbers was served, which was not at all appealing or edible. The prices are far too high for this quality, and the food is no longer in proportion to the Augustin's once appreciated cuisine. It's a shame - it may still be suitable for a good beer, but you really can't recommend eating here anymore.

Meat-heavy but delicious food, little choice for vegetarians. All the employees were very friendly and willing to joke despite the stress. Very loud and stuffy in the evening, a little quieter and better air at midday. If you like hearty food and a Bavarian atmosphere: definitely go there

I ordered sauerbraten. It was never sauerbraten in my life, the meat was not sauerbraten and the consistency of the meat was borderline. Only the sauce tasted like sauerbraten. The red cabbage without seasoning and just made warm. Never again .

The staff member in charge of my area was really rude. I felt bad because they didn't have one. I really put down my tick and said I wouldn't drink anything, so I sighed... The people sitting next to me were also Korean, but I heard them asking why that employee was acting like that, so it was just me. It doesn't seem like that... However, the other staff and the last cashier were very friendly... They asked me if I wanted to give a tip, but I was so embarrassed that I gave it without realizing it, but other people just told me not to give it. I was bullied.

Visited again at the weekend! I am a passionate Augustiner fan. The beer is simply fantastic and the food too! Very nice service, large portions - with prices that are okay, that's what you're happy to spend money on! Very clear recommendation.

Reception staff member at the street level was pleasant and efficient while the waiter downstairs was patronising and uptight. He appeared to deliberately make us wait 15 minutes for the bill. The food was okay, not wonderful, but not bad. Not an entirely unpleasant experience but would rather go somewhere less patronising.

Super nice waitress, she was pretty too... good food, good inexpensive light beer under 5 euros... what more could you want... would love to come back... Had dinner again today. It probably wasn't the cook's day. Liver dumpling soup was fantastic, (a bit cold) brawn with fried potatoes worked like this. I didn't eat despite being hungry. Aspic had a strange aftertaste, fried potatoes tasted burnt, were not cooked and were ok. Low salt is my taste. Remoulade is very tasty. Can you really do better?

A catastrophic visit to a restaurant...everything went as expected until the order was placed...then the misery began. Two roasts with fried potatoes and set eggs were apparently too much for the kitchen and staff. Sitting in the outdoor area, our drinks were almost running out when our food was served at the neighboring table...they were puzzled and picked at the plates until the served food was removed again in full view of everyone. After a short lap of honor in the restaurant, the same food came to our table. With the request to please exchange the food that was served, the waitress went back with the food, rolling her eyes. Thought about whether we should just leave without eating, our order came (I have no idea whether it would be warmed up again quickly). After our time was over, I wanted to pay...I was told "right now" in a derogatory manner. Then the smartphone with the amount to be paid was thrown onto the table without a word...all in all, it was the embodiment of all gastronomic norms that you would want to experience...never again...thank you

Half a knuckle was too small and the meat was tough. Beer 0.5 liters wasn't served either, it was more like 0.45 liters. Will probably not eat there again. There are enough restaurants around the Frauenkirche.

This is a local restaurant that I stopped by during a group tour through Yuju Travel, a local Korean travel agency. We ate schnitzel and haksen (half a piece), and the sauce was unique and not too salty, which suited Korean tastes. Many people also enjoyed the beer. It seems to be a local restaurant as well. If you're traveling to Dresden, I recommend stopping by.

Von der telefonischen Reservierung, die umgehend online bestätigt wurde, über den guten zugewiesenen Tisch (im OG) bis hin zum Service und den Speisen und Getränken perfekt und freundlich, nette Mitarbeiter und uriges, angenehmes Ambiente. Preis- Leistungsverhältnis in dieser Lage direkt an der Frauenkirche ist gut.

Sehr leckeres Speisen- und Getränkeangebot. Flotter, netter und freundlicher Service und das Preis- Leistungsverhältnis war für uns völlig in Ordnung. Allerdings- einfach so vorbeikommen scheint uns ,am Wochenende zu den Stoßzeiten zumindest , fast unmöglich. Reservierung ist angesagt, es wurden einige Gäste auch weggeschickt. Insgesamt ein sehr schöner Abend im Augustiner- gern mit Wiederholung ( und Reservierung😉)

A real classic! The Augustiner offers exactly what you expect - solid Bavarian cuisine of the best quality. The German cuisine is really beautifully executed here, and the food doesn't disappoint. You just know what you have and you will never be disappointed here. The wonderful view of the Frauenkirche is particularly beautiful, which rounds off the experience perfectly. If you want to enjoy authentic German dishes in a traditional atmosphere, this is the right place for you.
