Normal breakfast, not extravagant but everything you need. However, it is advisable to make a reservation because unfortunately, twice now, the terrace was closed for breakfast despite the great weather. This means that the number of guests is of course limited.

Super nice people from the boss to the staff. Delicious chicken. Reasonable prices. Very nice atmosphere. Perfect place to visit. Highly recommended.!

We were here for the second time today. The first time we ate the very rich breakfast buffet. Everything was fresh, the bread was an absolute hit and there was nothing else to complain about. Today the three of us spontaneously came here after a bike ride. We ate the delicious schnitzels. The owner is very nice and has an easy-going manner, and the rest of the staff were also friendly. The café itself is furnished with great attention to detail. We didn't try the cakes but we will do so. We'll definitely be back. We also think the prices are totally okay. Thank you for a delicious refreshment after our bike tour.

Reservation for 10 people 3 weeks ago for Good Friday for breakfast. Reservation was accepted and confirmed with phone number. We stood in front of closed doors at 10 a.m. this morning. Then I stood there with my guests. We will definitely no longer recommend this store.

The buffet leaves nothing to be desired. The staff seemed a bit understaffed. However, the price is quite confident at 23 euros per nose.

I wouldn't have thought it possible to be treated so rudely. The head waiter, who claimed to be the manager, is arrogant and apparently aggressive in a way that he doesn't have himself under control. To me he seemed like a thug in front of a disco, where in my opinion he fits in better than in a café like this. I strongly advise everyone not to visit the Auffelder Bauerncafé. Because when you go to a café, you want to be served in a friendly manner. He showed his arrogance in the following way: When I ordered "Tönisvorster apple juice", which I showed on the menu, I was asked condescendingly about the price and additives, which turned out to be a joke. Because when I politely gave him the information - unlike this waiter, I have a good manners - he said: "It's enough if you say apple juice". The question arises: why is the idiot asking? And in a very arrogant and condescending manner. When my parents wanted to sit down at the table with me, he said they had to wait their turn. I then said that I had already said that my parents would come. The waiter couldn't remember that. No wonder with such behavior. He has no memory and etiquette is also foreign to him. When my parents weren't allowed to sit down, we left. The behavior of this waiter is unparalleled insolence. I also don't believe that he is the managing director, because a managing director behaves differently because he knows: the customer is king. I think the place is doing too well and they can afford to drive out decent customers. We've been regulars so far, but today was definitely the last time.

We were there last Saturday. The ambience, the service and both the drinks and the food were worth 5 stars! When we asked, we also got a small portion at a cheaper price :-) For everyone who complains about the prices here: In times of minimum wage and sharply increased prices, one cannot expect that prices will not converge. If you are honest with yourself, everyone will realize what they get in return! Sufficient and very attentive, friendly staff - high quality food (including home-baked bread!!). Free parking and a very inviting dining room where every table has so much space that you can feel very comfortable! All in all, a very nice place that we would happily travel 30 km to see again! Thank you for the lovely afternoon!!

Ich kann mich nur anderen Rezensionen anschließen, daß das Preis- Leistungsverhältnis in keinster Weise gerechtfertigt ist. Mein Mann bestellte sich ein Fleischgericht für über 20 €, welches wohl geschmacklich in Ordnung war. Das man aber für eine Gemüse-oder Salatbeilage noch extra 5,50 € bezahlen soll, finde ich nicht angebracht. Zu meinem bestellten Speckpfannekuchen muß ich sagen, daß ich erwartet hätte, er wäre mit Bacon belegt und nicht mit Speckstückchen aus dem Supermarkt, die man auch noch mit der Lupe suchen musste. Die Krönung allerdings war das bestellte Mineralwasser, welches kein Mineralwasser war, sondern Leitungswasser, das mit einem Soda-Streamer gepimt wurde. Hierauf muss ein Gast hingewiesen werden. Ich kann diese Lokalität für einen Mittagstisch nicht emmpfehlen. Wir haben über eine Stunde auf unser Essen gewartet, welches, wie gesagt, total überteuert war.

Rich breakfast buffet and friendly service

Ich war schon sehr oft im Auffelder Bauerncafe - Restaurant. Es ist ein typisches Bauen Café und eignet sich auch insbesondere mit Kindern. Die einen eigenen Spielplatz direkt vor dem Restaurant haben. Des Weiteren gibt es einen großen, teilweise überdachten Außenbereich. Die Speisekarte ist traditionell, aber sehr gut und jeder findet etwas. Die Bedienung ist sehr, sehr freundlich, und Chef und Chefin sind auch immer bei den Gästen vor Ort.

My first visit there, for the breakfast buffet. Lots of selection of cheese, sausage, fish, side dishes, rolls, bread, jams, muesli, fruit, etc etc. Not just the usual. Very friendly, relaxed service. Price, performance very reasonable. Cakes, tarts made in-house. Also very tasty :)). Everything was very nicely prepared and fresh. Highly recommended!!

The restaurant is very good 😋. The food was tasty, the drinks were nice and cold. Not exactly cheap for families with children. The café has a playground, free parking and is also easily accessible for walkers and wheelchairs. It's worth trying it out.

A lovely farmer's café in an idyllic location. The breakfast buffet is extensive and is always replenished quickly if something is running low. You can sit nicely both inside and outside. There is play equipment outside for the children and enough space to run around. There are enough parking spaces. The owner and staff are always friendly and in a good mood. Really recommended! Anecdote: If you're wondering why some places seem to have been forgotten in the large painting in the interior - it has something to do with the telephone area code 0215x! 😉

The service and atmosphere are really great outside when the weather is nice, and the children can also play in the playground next door. The food was ok, unfortunately nothing more, and the prices are also very high. The cakes, on the other hand, are good.

After the Canadian tour we spontaneously got a table for the 6 of us! Very attentive and friendly team! We "only" found a place inside because the weather was very good, but that didn't bother us at all. The food was good to very good and P/L definitely fits here!

We celebrated our wedding here and are simply thrilled! The preparation and follow-up was not only super uncomplicated, but also extremely attentive. The team is super friendly and motivated until late at night. The meal - as well as the entire daily planning - was individually tailored to our wishes. All wedding guests were very impressed with the food and the location. An absolute recommendation! :)

Our waitress probably got up on the wrong foot today. Conclusion: I don't know where all the good reviews come from.

We were invited to a celebration and sat in the back area. The food was very tasty and was served as a buffet. Beforehand there was antipasti at the table. The service was attentive and always responsive.

Great location. Great environment! We were there for breakfast and overall we were really very satisfied. As a vegetarian you always want a bit of a modern selection here and there, I admit, but we found what we were looking for without any problem. The bread was delicious and very varied, there was oat milk as an alternative, various cheeses and a great selection of small things.

Very shady business behavior on the part of the boss, not to call it a rip-off. On February 15th, 2024 my table reservation for 20 people for June 30th, 2024 was confirmed in writing with a price of €19.50. On the day of the event, the boss charges the price of €23.50 per person. After I asked, he explained to me that this was the usual procedure because he had raised the prices in the meantime. For me, this is a borderline approach, if not beyond a legal basis, but this can certainly be clarified by third parties afterwards.

We were there for the breakfast buffet. Selection was okay. Has been refilled. Unfortunately not refrigerated, so the temperatures are rather unfavorable for sausages etc. The table, as well as some glasses and plates, were not clean. But very friendly people and beautiful family-friendly outdoor area.

You have to be honest, Auffelder is one of the best farmer's cafés on the Lower Rhine. Breakfast is great and so is the food and cake. Keep it up, we're always happy to come to you.

Unfortunately mass processing on Easter Monday. On the Internet it says 23.50 for the breakfast buffet. But at Easter we were charged 26.50. This should also be mentioned on the Internet. Pretty high price!!! Otherwise a nice farmer's café with nice service.

It's a very nice farmer's cafe. But on Easter Monday it was far too crowded and simply overcrowded. At a table where 4 people normally sit, 6 were made. Conversation at the table was almost impossible because the noise level was so extreme. Actually, it's a shame. The breakfast was great. 26.50 euros per person, sorry too expensive especially since it said 23.50 on the internet. A pity

Here, the boss and service staff are always willing to listen to our concerns and are always ready to joke! Everyone is quick and friendly. Since my older brother (85) loves the large cherry pancakes, we come here more and more often on Sundays. The homemade cakes/tarts are also very tasty 😋. We come there from about 65 km away...speaks for itself, doesn't it?

Casual, pleasant atmosphere, very friendly and attentive service, a wide range of dishes and generous portions. The location in the middle of the fields is great for families with children, cyclists and walkers. There are also enough parking spaces available! We always enjoy being there again.

Today we had a giant eel with fresh fried mushrooms! It was served with 2 slices of warm, toasted bread! The price of €16.50 was absolutely justified! The approximately 15 warm fried cherry tomatoes alone were plenty! The waitress was very friendly and had eye contact and a smile for everyone! That is rare. Outside the heaters were on for smokers and there was also table service there. Although the restaurant is almost on the field, it was almost full. I was there at coffee time and was able to see lots of cakes, all baked in-house! They looked very appealing and tasty. The 35 km drive is always worth it!

A beautiful courtyard café with lots of space. Also suitable for large groups. The breakfast buffet is very rich and offers something for everyone. We like being there. Coffee, tea and cocoa are already included in the buffet price.

Top chef, conjures up traditional dishes at star level in portions that will fill you up! Be it pancakes or game: I've never left here hungry. The dessert here doesn't seem 'from the metro and thawed' either. Tastes like homemade! The ambience is simple, traditional, simple. Nachdem ist im September zufällig hier eingekehrt bin, habe ich mich schon mehrfach hier eingefunden. Immer bin ich sehr freundlich und schnell bedient worden. Bei Beobachtungen der anderen Gäste konnte ich die ganze Vielfalt der Speisekarte kennenlernen. Das war der Grund für mich, die Weihnachsfeier meiner Firma Lamm-pion Ledermoden hier auszurichten. Außer mir kannte niemand meiner Leute dieses Kleinod, aber alle waren sich einig, daß sie wiederkommen werden. Die geschmackvolle Einrichtung und weihnachtliche Dekoration waren eine gute Einstimmung für einen gemütlichen Abend. Das Essen war der Hammer. Ein bisschen traurig waren wir allerdings, daß in diesen gemütlichen Monaten um 20.00 Uhr geschlossen wird. Wir wären gern länger geblieben, vor allem, weil wir aus Mönchengladbach anreisten und vorher unser Geschäft geöffnet hatten. Um am Abend zu kommen, gibt es keine Chance! Im sommerlichen , sehr ansprechenden Biergarten ist das besser. Auch der gr. Kinderspielplatz unter schattenspendenden Bäumen bietet Familien viel Raum.

Sehr aufmerksamer Service. Leider nur Aufbackbrötchen und das Rührei war bei uns fast leer und kalt. Frühstück ansonsten ok. Im vorderen Bereich ist es sehr schön, im Anbau leider etwas dunkel und sehr laut

Wir waren samstags zum Frühstücksbuffet. Reichhaltige Auswahl, ständig wurde nachgebracht. Das war wirklich sehr lecker und ist empfehlenswert. Am Tisch wurden flott gebrauchte Teller abgeräumt und an Kaffee mangelte es auch nicht. Es wurde lediglich irgendwann sehr laut und unsere Ecke war recht eng, aber damit muss man am Wochenende wohl rechnen.

Nettes Personal , leckeres Essen und freundliches Personal.

Wir waren schon einmal zum Frühstück im Cafe . Da das Frühstück gut war wollten wir das Schnitzel probieren Leider ist das Preisleistungsverhältnis beim freitags stattfindenden Schnitzeltag, der explizit beworben wird , schlecht. Die Schnitzel waren nicht knusprig nur lauwarm. Die Panade war ganz sicher nicht frisch, sie war lätschig. Die Pommes lagen tatsächlich nebeneinander auf dem Teller und waren kalt. Die gesamte Portion war sehr übersichtlich. . Nachdem ich diese reklamiert hatte und zehn Minuten später neue Pommes bekam , mein Schnitzel hatte ich zu dem Zeitpunkt schon gegessen ansonsten wäre es ganz kalt gewesen sagte die Kellnerin ich solle die Pommes als Nachtisch betrachten. Ich habe es leider versäumt vor unserem Besuch die Kritiken zu lesen. ..Die Antworten auf die Kritiken der Gäste,die offenbar die gleiche Wahrnehmung haben wie wir, ist einfach nur sehr wenig kundenorientiert und unprofessionell. Sehr schade.

Waren zum Frühstücken dort. Das Buffet war gut, Kaffee, Tee und Säfte waren inklusive. Die Auswahl an Wurst, Käse, Brot und Brötchen sind super. Lachs , Rührei, Speck werden ebenfalls geboten. Die Qualität der Ware ist sehr gut und geschmacklich einwandfrei. Alles wurde regelmäßig nachgelegt und nie hat es an was gefehlt. Die Mitarbeiter waren aufmerksam und freundlich.

Nachdem wir heute mit 21 Personen trotz vorheriger Reservierung vom Fitsches Hof in Wachtendonk versetzt worden sind, war das Auffelder Bauerncafé so flexibel und hat kurzerhand für uns Platz geschaffen. Wir haben sehr gemütlich gesessen und sehr lecker gefrühstückt. Auch mit 21 Personen mehr war das Buffet reichlich und wurde auch immer nachgefüllt. Besonders dem Personal gilt noch ein riesen Dankeschön, denn, obwohl wir nicht geplant waren, wurden wir supernett mit guter Laune bedient (Kaffee und später noch andere Kaltgetränke). Also nochmals: DANKE!! Ihr habt unseren Tag gerettet!! Wir kommen bestimmt wieder!

Wir waren zum Frühstücksbuffet dort und total begeistert. Sehr freundliches Personal und hilfsbereit. Eine wirklich sehr große Auswahl an Wurst und Käse, sowie Fisch. Es gab sogar eine Suppe. Das Ambiente war richtig gut, und für Kinder gibt es einen sehr schönen Spielplatz. Alles in allem ein wundervoller Vormittag.

Leider sehr enttäuscht. Waren an einem Samstagabend zum essen hier, vorher extra reserviert (was überhaupt nicht nötig war weil kaum was los war) unsere Hauptspeise das „Schnitzel“ ist nicht wie ein klassisches dünnes Schnitzel auf dem Teller gebracht worden sondern schon sehr dick, dieses hätten wir uns persönlich „normaler“ gewünscht. Der Geschmack war so lala, sehr fade und nicht sein Geld wert. Hatten 1x mit Pfeffersoße und 1x mit Paprikasoße bestellt. Soßen war bereits auf dem kompletten Schnitzel verteilt-nichts mit knusprig sondern alles durchgeweicht. Die Bratkartoffeln waren keine Bratkartoffeln sondern klein geschnittene Stücke angebraten ohne Gewürze, Speck, Zwiebeln oder sonstiges. Schnitzel 15,90€ leider nicht gerechtfertigt. Hatte mir mehr erhofft. Getränkepreise leider auch übertrieben. Parkmöglichkeiten für Räder und Autos vorhanden, für Kinder ebenfalls eine kleine Spielecke vorhanden. Wir kommen nicht wieder! Jede Pommesbude macht bessere Schnitzel zu einem fairen Preis. Empfehlung:Kempen. Direkt am Buttermarkt ;) darf keinen Namen nennen

Waren zum Frühstück im Bauerncafe'. Es gab ein sehr reichhaltiges Buffet das keine Wünsche offen ließ. Das Servicepersonal war sehr aufmerksam und freundlich. Wir werden gerne wiederkommen.

Wir sind bei einer kurzen Wanderung dort eingekehrt. Sehr nette Bedienung und der Kuchen war auch sehr gut. Würden dort nochmal einkehren.

In einem schönen Ambiente hervorragendes Frühstücksbuffet genossen und anschließend draußen den letzten Kaffee unseres Frühstücks genossen ..Gerne wieder !!!!
