Atlantico Café in Dortmund

I didn't like it. It's not a good Mexican. There are better alternatives in the city.

This evening we were guests with 4 people. Four dishes were ordered and over the course of the evening a total of six cocktails and two soft drinks. The food was very tasty and so were the cocktails, just like every year. However, the service is significantly below previous levels. We waited 1 hour and 45 minutes for our food. The young waiter, slim and with glasses, took a very "absent-minded" look after our health and well-being. An apology or at least a drink “on the house” was out of the question. Very unfortunate. Goodbye no more. ANSWER TO THE OWNER: Good afternoon Mr. Black, The above-mentioned waiter was treated with respect by all 4 guests. You are right about the displeased waiting time of 1 hour & 45 minutes. There was no mention of intention in my review either. You should, especially as a waiter, speak to your guests if something isn't right. So much for the “health and well-being of the guests”. The second waiter apparently felt that he was treated with respect, otherwise a third would have had to serve us. As I said, in my opinion it's a shame that your waiter level of "BEST waiter" has fallen so low. A little service food for thought from me too ;-) Wish you and your team a successful new year 2o24! Mexikanisches Essen auf gutem Niveau, aber hervorzuheben sind hier ganz klar die super guten Drinks und der nette und schnelle Service. Besonders die Cocktail Karte ist sehr groß und die Qualität super - es lohnt sich also auch einfach nur für einen Drink an der Bar vorbeizukommen. Die Location ist sehr gemütlich, vor allem Wochenende aber auch ordentlich laut. Unbedingt vorher reservieren.

The best cocktails in town. The service is totally on point, the food is Mexican, you can't go wrong 😂. It's great that you can sit outside in the summer. Always packed, it's difficult without a reservation.

Be very careful with criticizing this place through Google Maps, since the place has defamed me for posting a negative opinion. **** The letter is very long. The price of the menu seemed expensive to me. We ordered two small beers and they charged us €7. I asked them if they had wifi for clients, and they said no.

Cozy atmosphere, incredibly delicious food and damn good cocktails! The staff is in a good mood and very accommodating! There was even a little surprise for my birthday, which really touched me! Thank you for that! We'd love to come back! It was a great evening!

The café is unique, great atmosphere, not too loud and not so artificially decorated. The guests are sophisticated, the staff is very friendly. We've been coming here for years! The food is perfect.

Mo is the best waiter in the world

My favorite place, I love coming here. I've been coming here often, sometimes less often, for over 20 years. I was never disappointed. I hope it stays with us for another 20 years.

The food tastes very good there. The ambience is something different. I miss eating the peanuts, probably because there was a big mess of peanut shells on the floor... Still a shame. The staff could be seen more often in the back area, otherwise everything is great!

Great and best shop in Dortmund with great service, great food and a great atmosphere. Dogs are welcome and also receive great service with water and treats. The cocktails are great and there is something for everyone. I always enjoy coming back and can only recommend it. Have fun

Eating the goods with work colleagues and it is an absolute recommendation. The food is fantastic and the portions are large. A very good evening. We would definitely like to come back.

Very cozy, relaxed and authentic atmosphere - the background noise is pleasant, so you can still have a good conversation even when the restaurant is busy. The food and drink menu leave nothing to be desired - there is definitely something for every palate - cheese nachos with dips, burritos, tacos, enchiladas, burgers, unusual cocktails, milkshakes etc... things really deliver here. I particularly like Mexican cuisine - restaurants with this selection are rather rare. The portions are more than generous; we had good eaters with us and they had to fight in the end :) The staff is friendly, competent, always considerate and guest-oriented. It's not without reason that the restaurant has existed for so many years. We were pleasantly surprised and would love to come back - top recommendation!

I'm literally thrilled! The food was delicious and you can only rave about the ambience. Of course it was full for a Saturday evening. That's why you might be a little annoyed about the waiting time... but this food is still worth the wait.

Five years ago we were here for the O week from the university and somehow got stuck. Every visit is worth it: the cocktails are fantastic, the food is delicious, the staff is always friendly. We have also discovered the cozy inner courtyard for ourselves. Even after five years, we're always happy to come back!

Delicious food, large portions and a nice beer garden. The highlight was the nice waiter who helped us a lot with the selection. It was perfect 😊

Delicious food in a pleasant atmosphere

Top ambience followed by a very, very tasty meal. I would also particularly like to mention the waitresses who left a very friendly/hardworking impression.

A few years ago the price-performance ratio was pleasant, in the last 1-2 years it has become more and more unpleasant... To charge 17.80 euros for nuggets with fries is simply outrageous and no longer to be encouraged..., We were usually there 1-2 times a month..., now only twice a year...., no peanuts, only 10% discount, previously 20%!!, the prices are no longer reasonable.... A curtain has recently been installed so that you can't see how empty it is in the back area, or, no one is sitting there…. If they continue like this, they will soon be able to install another curtain behind the door, so no one will come anymore... I'm just sorry for the staff, most of them are top 👍👍 Conclusion: I used to recommend it with a clear conscience, which has been unthinkable for 1-2 years... The atmosphere and flair from back then no longer exists... It's a shame...

I have only been coming to you for 15 years and always enjoy it. Your staff is top, the food is exactly what I like, and I love the drinks/cocktails. Even if it takes a little longer and you don't really have to talk about parking spaces - it doesn't matter! Anyone who comes to you should bring some time with them and enjoy the atmosphere. I really value continuity. Thank God you don't have to keep reinventing yourself, keep it up. I'm looking forward to next time.

Very friendly even though we stayed longer as the opening hours were still very friendly

We were there on a Friday evening and sat in the beer garden. We were very satisfied with the food and service. The portions were very large. If the weather is bad you can also sit inside. Also very suitable for drinking cocktails or watching football.

There were 13 of us eating there and tables were put together straight away. The service was quick, friendly and could also advise on the choice of food. Drinks came quickly and the food was ready for everyone after half an hour. There was no reason to complain here. Freshly prepared and served hot. The next evening we went to watch the football again and were given seats in front of the television. A cozy restaurant with a nice boss who looked after us.

Best shop in the world, everyone has to go there for the best food in the world. If you don't go there, you're missing out!

Very nice and courteous staff. The food is of excellent quality for the price. The large selection of drinks also offers enough variety for a fun evening.

Food and drinks (non-alcoholic cocktails) were delicious. The service was very courteous and friendly (high praise). It took a while for the food to come but there were 13 of us. When it came, I unfortunately have to say that it came so staggered that some people were almost finished eating by the time the rest came. That could be improved. But the place was also very, very full so we understood that.

We ate there with our seminar group (Ifb) of nine people. We were all thrilled. Price/performance was top. The service/staff was always up to date and gave us all very good advice. I will definitely take a look again on my next visit to Dortmund.

Noticed negatively: Plastic bowls for the starter The main course comes during the starter TVs everywhere that no one needs. Unfortunately, drinks and dessert (there were only two of us) arrived several minutes apart. That means a beer came and 5 minutes later the cocktail. Dessert was the same: the ice cream had been there for almost 10 minutes when dessert part 2 arrived. Why can't you put something like that together? Put yourself in the guest's shoes a little more. We were there with 15 people from the company. Food came super quickly. It was absolutely delicious. The drinks were great too. Service is top. Melvin took great care of us and always served us quickly. I always like to come back!
