The staff was a bit unfriendly at first and our table wasn't even wiped down. Unfortunately, that's just a small point... the biggest point of criticism is the food itself, we paid around 25 euros for a meal, which is also common in other restaurants in Zingst, but the food wasn't even remotely worth it... Poorly seasoned, visually a disaster (fries and souflaki with a slice of cheese on it) and an excessive amount of metaxas sauce...) so I have to agree with the negative reviews...we as a family with grandma and grandpa clearly recommend this restaurant avoid.Sorry

Went to the restaurant here for dinner today. We were greeted very friendly and our order was taken quickly. The food was very tasty. We had a little mishap, a glass of bitter lemon fell over and flooded the table and a salad. The waitress immediately cleaned everything up and brought us a new drink and a fresh salad on the house. We were very positively surprised by this generous gesture. Thank you very much, we will recommend you and be happy to come back! We had spaghetti as a chef and an artemis plate and salads and the portions were really sufficient and very tasty!

First the positive things: there is a playground from the adjacent Experimentarium. The service was good and very attentive. Food: I often eat Greek food and this Greek restaurant had the worst food I've ever had at a Greek restaurant. Yes - you can eat it, but there is absolutely no love in the kitchen. The prices are absolutely not appropriate for the quality delivered. In Zingst itself you can eat much better for less money (if you can get a table)...

Worst kebab ever. I've never been so ripped off. The kebab man looked like he had just smoked crack and that's how the kebab tasted. Calling it a kebab is a huge impudence.

Fries were soft and barely salted, the mayo had probably been in the sun for a while. The gyro was dry and also seasoned sparingly. For the prices quoted, we expected more quality and passion. We had a completely successful stay at the Greek restaurant ATHINA. The sun was shining; It was great to sit outside. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The food tasted very good; especially the mussels. We were very satisfied with everything and would come back at any time.

Miserable food, had noodles in Metaxa sauce and schnitzel with side dishes. The noodles were overcooked and everything was swimming in a mushy, cheese-sticky, fat-dripping Metaxa sauce Served without sauce and decoration. The cooked broccoli also came on the plate without anything. Everything was loveless and lifeless. Half the plate was returned. Conclusion: Never again, the prices are also outrageous to charge around €20 per dish. For The dishes should have been claimed for damages, culinary school grade 6. Service was below average due to unskilled seasonal workers. Table in the outdoor restaurant was dirty when we arrived and was only cleaned when requested. You should avoid the restaurant when it is full, the kitchen is obviously overwhelmed .

Location close to the beach is okay, but if you want to sit outside in the evening you have to expect 20 mosquito bites or more. The food at the Greek restaurant itself is average/standard, just like any other Greek restaurant in the area. The staff is usually rude when you ask calmly and matter-of-factly to correct or point out an error that has been made The kebab fluctuates between tasty and okay. It has now become clear to me that the ice cream costs €2 in each version because the waffles differ slightly. The family in front of us got a huge portion of their big ice cream, while we got a pitiful heap. When we mentioned this we only got a stupid answer. It doesn't rip off or taste good either. Better go eat somewhere else. Experiences are based on several visits.

Today it was just supposed to be soft ice cream. The family in front of us ordered large soft serve ice cream, which looked good, so we followed suit. When we commented that these were only half the size of the previous ones, people became unfriendly and expletives were used. Completely incomprehensible to me. We have been customers for years and have always enjoyed coming back, whether for a nice Greek evening or a kebab to go for the beach. Thanks to today's experience, my needs are definitely covered.

Unfortunately very disappointing... Food poorly or not at all seasoned, carelessly prepared and at least 20% more expensive than standard. The service also left a lot to be desired. We had to ask for the usual Greek ouzo... a real shame and the icing on the cake... they also wanted money from the guest to use the toilet. It's better to choose one of the many other good restaurants in Zingst, you'll eat better and cheaper there. The only positive thing was the salad

Food bland and poorly seasoned and not very attractively presented. The usual Greek ouzo was not available or had to be bought at a high price... And that with the prices for the dishes... The service also leaves a lot to be desired. The only good thing was the salad. By the way, I almost forgot... you would also like 50 cents from the guest to use the toilet. No words... it's not worth a visit. There are great alternatives in Zingst and Prerow that are cheaper and much better. It's a shame actually.

We went to the Greek restaurant with very high expectations and were unfortunately very disappointed. The service was not worthy of a Greek restaurant and the food was carelessly prepared and unfortunately the taste was very manageable.

Unfortunately it was far too hectic and the atmosphere wasn't great. The staff wasn't careful, which is a shame.

Had a meal here today and the price-performance ratio leaves a lot to be desired. €3.50 for a small pot of Metaxa sauce is steep. My daughter's Bolognese pasta for €19.50 simply didn't taste like anything and there were no salt and pepper shakers on the table. Technically speaking, there were no table decorations and there was nothing around it.

There were four of us. The adult dishes were good in terms of portion size, but the price was €3-4 too expensive. Unfortunately the pasta was a failure for the child. Almost €20 for pasta with Bolognese sauce that tastes like nothing. Pepper, salt etc. were only available upon request. The service was quick and friendly.

The menu is very extensive, which always leaves a slight doubt about the quality. But everything was fine. The prices are completely acceptable considering the quality. However, there was one small complaint: the ambience was very plain and simple. Order went wrong. Despite asking about the side dishes, they were swapped. Mayonnaise was ordered with the chosen fries but was forgotten and, when asked, placed on the table in the form of a bottle. A small bowl would have been more discreet here... What was very noticeable was the disorientation of a waiter who wandered aimlessly and helplessly through the beer garden with the drink I had ordered and then disappeared unsuccessfully indoors. After I was able to signal to another employee who was responsible for the drink, the refreshment finally reached my table. You can and should do better...

We have been coming to Zingst for many years and every year I look forward to the Athina restaurant because they have my favorite dish, Taramas. This year I was extremely disappointed. Food was completely watery and taramas didn't have much taste. That was it then

Prices were increased above average. This applies to both the food and the drinks. The food was tasteful and plentiful. Nevertheless, the price/performance ratio is no longer right. That's why only 3 stars.

Unfortunately, price/performance is not right here at all. Cheap iceberg lettuce, Dutch tomatoes and the meat were unfortunately not worth the money either. The service was very good and friendly. Large outdoor terrace.

Beware of the tourist trap! The days over Pentecost are the busiest. This is where the catering industry can regain its strength. Not at this restaurant. A few days before Pentecost, there was a sign on a board that read: “We are closed until May 30, 2023.” At some point on May 28th, 2023, the restaurant was open. Opening hours for this, a short period over lunch and then again in the evening for two to three hours. A place like Zingst, at Pentecost, is bursting at the seams with tourists. But there are actually catering establishments that don't really need to make money. The answers to this are varied. ;) The restaurant's interior is very reminiscent of the mid-90s. Everything seems old and carelessly placed. This is also reflected in the toilets. Although these were clean at first glance, they were still old and worn out. The food we ordered was very expensive. Across Germany we have never had to spend more than €60 at a Greek restaurant for two people. So the prices here are pretty high. We speak from the experience of ordering takeaway food without drinks. We thought, if the quality is right, then it can be done. Not even close. The gyros was simply burnt in many places and completely hard. The fries were very flabby. The salad was placed in the middle of the warm food. The turkey breast salad cost €19.70 = see picture which speaks for itself. (The distance from the restaurant to the accommodation is approx. 2 minutes by car) This restaurant has an absolute “top dog position” - Location directly on the dike - small playground - a huge parking lot that is always full - 1 minute to the Baltic Sea - City center, very close So it is incomprehensible why it is managed this way. This is where money is taken out of tourists' pockets. Even in one or two snack bars you have higher quality food. We will avoid this restaurant in the future. We are very amazed at those who were able to give a positive rating. Evaluating food positively that has a kilo of cheese on it or meat that is floating in sauce is not a culinary experience.

Ordered takeaway food. I had fantastic calamari🦑! I always find the side salad very tasty and the tzatziki is great!😋⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ My husband had gratinated gyros and we both feasted happily! However, I have never received fries as a side dish that was “unwapschig” when I got home☹️. The service is very friendly and my Aperol was on point during the short waiting time!🍹 Consistent quality that we like as locals!

Überrascht dass es Mittagstisch mit guten Portionen und günstigen Preisen gab. Zu empfehlen!

Guter Standort direkt am Deich, nebenan ein Spielplatz und nicht weit weg von der Strandpromenade. Ansonsten ziemlich durchschnittlicher Grieche. Man merkt einfach, dass die sich nicht viel Mühe geben (müssen), da dort viele Touris vorbeikommen. Das Ambiente ist einfallslos. Keine Tischdeko, nichts zum Nachwürzen auf dem Tisch. Die Speisenauswahl ist sehr lang wie bei den meisten Griechen und die Preise sind bei der Mehrzahl der Gerichte bei über 20€. Wir hatten zwei normale Hauptgerichte mit kleinem Salat dazu. Der Salat war einfach nur Eisbergsalat + Krautsalat in Salatsoße ertränkt. Konnte man essen, aber schon ziemlich traurig, dass da nicht mal etwas Tomate, Gurke oder sonstiges noch dabei war. Mein Hauptgericht ansich wurde lauwarm serviert. Gyros mit Metaxasoße und Käse überbacken hatte gleich die Kroketten in der Soße liegen, damit diese schön aufweichen. So was wie Kroketten sollte auf einem extra Teller serviert werden. Der Service war auch eher mittelmäßig. Ein Kellner lief in Jogginghose rum. Finde ich sehr unpassend. Die Kellner insgesamt eher nicht so gesprächig. Am Ende mussten wir dafür, dass es recht leer war, ewig auf die Rechnung warten. Es gab am Ende keinen Ouzo. So was hab ich noch nie erlebt. Also insgesamt ein ziemlich liebloser Besuch...

Leckeres Essen. Nette Bedienung, wir kommen gerne wieder.

Das einzige was stimmt ist der Ort von wegen Küche für sie bis 22 Uhr geöffnet schon um 20:50 wird man blöd angeguckt und nur trinken nix essen zur Begrüßung.

Essen war gut, mussten leider sehr schnell essen, da uns die Mücken aufgefressen hätten.

Wir sind geübte "griechisch esser" und haben tatsächlich schon wesentlich besser griechisch gegessen.

Dieses Restaurant kann man mehr als einmal im Urlaub besuchen. Das Essen ist typisch griechisch 👍 Selbst den Seniorenteller habe ich nicht geschafft 🤷🏼‍♀️ Es ist super lecker und knackig, so wie man es sich wünscht, wenn man griechisch essen geht 👍 Wir haben Sally, unseren Hund mitgenommen und sie wurde von allen verhätschelt und geliebt. Wir würden immer wieder kommen👍👍👍👍

Das Essen schmeckte fad und war lieblos angerichtet. Für 18 EUR pro Hauptgang erwarte ich eine andere Qualität.

Der an das Restaurant angeschlossene Dönerimbiss war der langsamste, den ich je erlebt habe. Neben Brot aufwärmen könnte man auch die Pommes in die Fritteuse werfen anstatt auf dem Handy zu tippen und dann wieder neben der Fritteuse zu warten. Essen (Döner/Pommes) war geschmacklich mittelmäßig.

Hier kann man gut Griechisch essen. Empfehlung, kommt zu Fuss, es gibt viel Ouzo.

Leider ein Reinfall. Mittagsangebote trotzdem noch für das Gebotene zu teuer. So lieblos auf den Teller geworfenes Essen habe ich selten erlebt. Wenn man normalen Reis bestellt, jedoch Gemüse-Tomatenreis bekommt, sollte man den Gast vorher darüber informieren. Die Vorspeisen kamen nach 4 Minuten und der Hauptgang nach weiteren 5 Minuten, egal ob wir mit den Vorspeisen dann schon fertig waren. Man merkt, dass denen das vollkommen egal ist, da es ja größtenteils "nur" Touris sind.

Sehr netter Service, Essen sehr gut, trotz Regen und daher vollem Innenraum hat alles bestens gepasst und sehr professionell. Wir kommen gern wieder.

Das Ambiente ist schrecklich. Leider kein Ort zum wohlfühlen, oder schick Essen. Es erinnerte mich eher an einer besseren Kantine. Das Essen vom Geschmack war zwar gut, allerdings war mein Gyrosfleisch noch schwabbelig... an manchen Stellen, bezweifelte ich, ob es durchgegart war. Der Salat hatte auch an den Rändern braune getrocknete Stellen. Ein Indiz, das er wohl schon lange gestanden hatte...Der Service war gut, Nett, alles Bestens... Das Restaurant hat viel Potential, was aber leider nicht genutzt wird. Schade...

Der Döner laden der augenscheinlich zu ATHINA gehört ist eine Enttäuschung, die Currywurst war frittierte Bratwurst mit einem Klecks Ketchup, wirklich nicht zu empfehlen und alles andere als appetitlich!!! 3 Sterne für das griechische Restaurant, die Dönerbude würde null Sterne kassieren. Im Restaurant normales griechisches essen, nichts außergewöhnliches, Preise sind sehr happig, Personal war freundlich.

Die Lage könnte nicht besser sein. Direkt am Deich gelegen, nebenan ein Spielplatz. Wir waren während unseres Urlaubes 2x im Athina essen. Das erste Mal wurden wir schnell bedient, das Essen war allerdings sehr lieblos angerichtet. Geschmeckt hat es ganz ok. Dann wollten wir ihnen noch eine 2. Chance geben. Beim zweiten Mal mussten wir über 15 min warten, bis die Getränke bestellt werden konnten, und nein.. Das Restaurant war zu der Zeit noch recht überschaubar gefüllt. Das Essen hat recht gut geschmeckt, aber es fehlte an Gewürzen. Die Vorspeise war etwas spärlich. Vielleicht sind wir auch von unserem Griechen in der Heimat verwöhnt. Dort gibt es einfach mehr Service (Ouzo davor und danach und für Kinder stattdessen "Kinderschnaps" , zu den Essen gibt es für die Kinder bei Nudeln mit wahlweise Parmesan und bei Pommes automatisch Mayo und Ketchup. Hier stehen nicht mal Salz und Pfeffer auf dem Tisch. Geschmacklich ist es ja Ansichtssache, aber die Teller könnten liebevoller und Geschmackvoller angerichtet werden :) Am Service kann man ebenso arbeiten. Ansonsten hat uns der Döner To Go an der Straßenseite sehr gut geschmeckt.

Wir waren abends dort essen. Der Parkplatz davor ist bis 20.00 Uhr gebührenpflichtig. Das Essen war gut und auch lecker, aber die Portionen für einen Griechen recht klein. Kinderportion sollte besser den Namen „Kleinkindportion“ bekommen. Preise auch recht hoch. Überbackenes Gyros für 20,70€ und ich war nicht wirklich satt. Service war durchwachsen. Personal wirkte teilweise überfordert und war entsprechend gelaunt. Und muss das Personal wirklich in Jogginghose bedienen? Positiv: man kann mit Karte zahlen und es gab noch einen Ouzo. Fazit: gutes, leckeres Essen, zu einem überhöhten Preis bei schwankendem Service und übersichtlicher Menge.

Das Essen war geschmacklich leider nur ok und wurde unliebsam auf den Teller gestapelt. Der Salat wirkte nicht frisch obwohl das Restaurant erst öffnete. Auch das Ambiente war wenig ansprechend, die Tische stehen sehr eng zusammen.

Essen schmeckt und ist reichlich.Bedienung auch i.O. Dionisosteller prima!

Athina ist ein gutes Griechisches Restaurant, welches viele leckere Gerichte anbietet, die Mitarbeiter sind nett und das Ambiente okay. Zu empfehlen wenn man Lust auf Griechisches Essen hat. 👍

Uns war schon klar, dass wir uns aufgrund der „durchwachsenen“ Bewertungen einem gewissen Risiko aussetzen würden. Sehr viele Tische auf der Terrasse ließen auf Massenabfertigung schließen. Der Service war schnell und nett, aber nicht professionell. So wurde die Weinflasche schon geöffnet an den Tisch gebracht. Die Gläser waren dickwandig und zerkratzt. Tischdecken gab es nicht. Der panierte Schafskäse war wahrscheinlich TK-Ware, relativ lieblos garniert und serviert. Meine Frau war mit ihrem Olympos-Teller sehr zufrieden. Ich hatte gedünstete Lammkeule mit Kritharaki bestellt, in der Hoffnung, so etwas wie Giouvetsi zu erhalten. Jouvetsi wurde dann allerdings als Lammkeule mit Spaghetti angeboten…. Erhalten habe ich Lammhaxe ertränkt in Tomatensauce, mit weichgekochten, weitgehend geschmacklosen Kritharaki und mit Käse überbacken. Enttäuschend. Meine Vorstellung war, Scheiben oder Würfel von der Lammkeule zu erhalten, von denen eine dunkle Sauce gezogen worden wäre, die wiederum von den Kritharaki aufgesogen worden wäre. So habe ich es bisher immer in griechischen Restaurants erlebt oder - als gelernter Koch - auch selber zubereitet. Giouvetsi ist unter den „Top Ten“ meiner Lieblingsgerichte. Weder wissen die Köche im „Athina“, was Giouvetsi eigentlich ist, noch sind sie in der Lage, Lammhaxe und Lammkeule voneinander zu unterscheiden. Schade.

Das wollen Griechen sein und können kein Moussaka zubereiten und wenn man es sagt das es keins war kommt keine Endschuldigung und man muss den vollen Preis von 16.40 Euro zahlen eine ober Frechheit

War lecker, kam sehr schnell, hat allen geschmeckt. Wir würden ständig mit Ouzo versorgt, ich hatte alleine vier :). Sind ein bisschen schroff dort, aber dass war auch das einzige zu meckern. Ich hatte nicht das Gefühl, dass hier fertige Salate und Zaziki verwendet werden.

Die Bewertungen sind mir ein Rätsel . Das ist das Schlechteste was ich je beim Griechen hatte . Lokal ist völlig lieblos . Keine Deko keine Tischdecke und nicht einmal Salz und Pfeffer steht auf dem Tisch . Der Salat war schon gelblich und bestand aus einer Mischung mit Eisberg, Kraut und einen Dressing aus einem 5 Liter Kanister vom Großmarkt . Billigster Schafskäse der trockene Stellen hatte . Billigste Oliven billigste Pommes und billigste zaziki ebenfalls aus einem Fertigeimer . Unterster imbissfrass für 16€ Aufwärts pro Portion . Lasst bloß die Finger davon . Personal war ganz nett . Die guten Rezessionen sind für uns nicht nachvollziehbar! Hier werden Touristen mit überteuerten Speisen ohne jegliche Qualität abgezockt. Gibt man einen Hinweis, wird nur mit den Schultern gezuckt!
