We visited the Athene restaurant for the first time on New Year's Eve 2024 and were very pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food and the service. It was a beautiful evening and when we left, the waiter helped us put on our coats, which made me very happy. I can only recommend this restaurant. Thank you very much.

I've actually been a regular guest for many years and have always been very satisfied. The staff is friendly and helpful. However, today the food was not good at all. There is no bread with tzatziki anymore and the main course was easily 1/4 smaller than usual and didn't taste good either. The price was absolutely no longer justified - it's a shame, we always enjoyed eating there, but if the quality remains as it is today, there's no reason to come back.

After a long time we were guests in the restaurant again. Our expectations were not met. The service was good, but unfortunately drinks were forgotten. But the food we ordered was the biggest disappointment. Lukewarm, the meat was very dry, gyros dark brown and hard. In our opinion, all the dishes were very over-seasoned. Duration of the stay approx. 70 minutes. (from arrival, selection of dishes, starter, intermediate course, main course, payment) As a guest, I like to wait 10 minutes longer for my food and go home with a good impression.

The food was extremely tasty and the service was also great, grade 1. Since I was there on a Saturday evening, there were a lot of visitors and it was very loud, but no matter the food was still very tasty.

I went back after a long time because I remembered the restaurant as very good. Unfortunately experienced great disappointment. Bad service and even more shocking the size of the food portion. An average restaurant. Food was nothing special, portions were rather small by Greek standards, there were enough service staff, but very unstructured. We had a severely disabled person with us, but the parking lot was so full that we had to park far away at the train station. Personally, I'd rather go somewhere else.

A great visit to this restaurant. We received a very friendly welcome and the guest was given a friendly handshake as a greeting. Customer satisfaction is very important here. The birthday table we ordered was beautifully decorated and the food was top. We'd love to come back.

I felt a bit annoyed by the service at times. Very often at the table and always takes empty plates or glasses with him, even though others at the table are still eating. I don't like that that much. Otherwise a nice, large restaurant.

A really tasty restaurant, good service and really great to visit. Unfortunately the portions are a bit small for a Greek. I couldn't get enough of it. It is also very quick and seems more warmed up than freshly prepared. That's why only 4 stars, which is a big plus, especially for families, it is very child-friendly with its own playground…

Delicious food - super friendly operators

We were invited for our birthday and we didn't regret it. The good service and great service, and of course the delicious food, made the evening perfect. Will definitely come back for dinner again.

The service was very courteous and efficient. The beer garden is attractively designed. The salads were fresh, but not exceptional. The lamb shank was 👍. The stuffed pork tenderloin was overly seasoned, very salty and had no discernible texture. There's a chance it was treated with a meat tenderizer. The food was served very quickly, suggesting that it was not freshly prepared. This is understandable with the lamb shank, but with the pork fillet, which comes with a hefty price tag of over 25 euros, it is annoying. The portion was relatively small.

As always, the restaurant was very busy, but we didn't have to wait long. Unfortunately we couldn't enjoy our starter in peace because then the main course arrived. The waitresses are nice, you can tell which guests are there more often. We were full, even though the portions were smaller than before. We like to go there at longer intervals.

Very hospitable inn. The welcome was very warm and the whole team is super child-friendly. Even the little ones are fully included. We really liked that. During our time we constantly checked and asked whether everything was to our satisfaction or whether we needed anything else. The food is served super quickly, despite the high number of guests. However, points are deducted for the food. We expected a little more after all the reports here on Google. Lots of convenience products, which may be due to the very large menu. I think it's a shame that there isn't enough for a homemade dressing on a salad. I can do something like that at home and don't have to go to a restaurant to do it. We would come back for the hospitality, but not for the food.

Very polite, even as a group of 12 we were able to get space straight away. Good food is a little more expensive on the weekend than during the week, but I'm happy to give it that. Who wants to work on the weekend? I assume that these additional costs will benefit the staff. 270 euros for 12 people including plenty of drinks. So everyone, whether child or adult, was very satisfied. I highly recommend it. Especially because of the very good, plentiful food.

A great address for Greek food (and drinks) for many years, very friendly staff, very fast service and the food... yes, it sounds trite, but: super tasty. Decent portions, still very good value for money and, compared to many other Greek restaurants, an optimal meat/other ingredient ratio for my taste. Oh yes, also important: toilets clean and well maintained.

Simply fantastic. Back with Athene for the first time since my studies in Mittweida. Back then it was my fellow students and I's favorite bar and now it's back to the roots. What can I say, no loss of quality. Still extra class. No matter whether it's a super friendly reception, ordering, communication and then the great food. Everything is just perfect. Still #1 in the area and highly recommended.

Good food with very nice staff. A small highlight is the mini playground outside, where parents can sit and relax while the children slide and swing.

The Greek restaurant is easy to reach and there is plenty of on-site parking. The staff is super friendly and helpful, and a family atmosphere is immediately noticeable. The food selection is great and the kitchen staff is quick to prepare the dishes you order. The division of seating into separate niches immediately creates a feeling of coziness. Operation and service is super fast and you can tell that the whole team works hand in hand. We love being there and would love to come back.

Service was friendly and you were served shortly after arrival. Top! It wasn't that comfortable, the tables were much too close to each other. The taste of the food was very good, but the portions had shrunk. On average you can expect around €30 per person. At least that's how it was with us.

Ich war das erste Mal hier und muss sagen, dass ich sehr positiv überrascht wurde. Sehr netter Service - sogar die Jacke wurde abgenommen und beim Gehen wieder angezogen. Das ganze Personal sehr netty Empfehlungen des Hauses, welche noch nicht der Karte zu entnehmen wären, wurden persönlich vorgestellt. Auch jede der Speisen war sehr sehr lecker und ausreichend. Hier her kann man gerne wieder kommen bzw ist es in jedem Fall zu empfehlen, hier Mal Essen zu gehen. Vielen Dank an Service und Küche! Toll!!

Wir sind begeistert von diesem Restaurant ! Wir riefen abends 21 Uhr an um zu fragen ob wir noch vorbei kommen können. Nachdem wir woanders mit einem kritischen Blick abgewiesen wurden, hieß es fröhlich am Telefon, dass wir gerne vorbei kommen können, Küchenschluss wäre erst 22 Uhr. Dort angekommen wurde man freundlich, herzlichst empfangen, als wäre man ein alter Freund, es wurden einem die Jacken abgenommen, und man hat sofort einen Ouzo und die Karte erhalten. Wirklich toll ! Die Essens- und Getränkeauswahl ist groß und preislich ist es durchschnittlich. Das Essen kam auch sehr schnell und hat super geschmeckt. Es hat auch alles sehr frisch geschmeckt, und Vorallem für die Metaxasoße gab es ein Lob an die Küche! Diese war nämlich mal anders als bei allen Griechen wo wir bisher waren. Auch das Gyros war top. Die Stimmung vor Ort ist einfach Bombe und man fühlt sich sofort wohl. Auch mit den Angestellten kommt man schnell ins Gespräch und es werden Scherze gemacht. Wenn wir wieder in der Gegend sind, kommen wir definitiv wieder! 🥰

Super nettes Personal, jedoch viel zu überfüllt am Samstagabend, so dass Bestellungen falsch bzw gar nicht kamen. Die Portionen sind auch kleiner geworden, viel weniger Fleisch auf dem Teller... Aber super lecker! Durch die vielen Tische und Leute sehr unruhig.

Das war eine der positivsten Überraschung der letzten Jahre. So eine freundliche Bedienung haben wir bisher nur in kroatischen Gaststätten erlebt. Wie die Bedienung so die Speisen, eine leckere Überraschung und der Punkt auf dem i war der super Espresso.
