The staff at Athene Oberschleißheim were very friendly and attentive, which made the visit pleasant overall. The food was okay, although we've definitely had better Greek food. Price and quality were acceptable overall. We weren't disappointed, but we weren't completely convinced either – so it's uncertain whether we'll return.

It is a restaurant with potential, unfortunately we had to ask several times for a drinks menu and a menu and you have to be careful that the menus do not reflect the current prices, which is annoying.

The food was okay. I'll accept that it took forever to get our drinks. The fact that the waiter walked away while our order was being taken, and we had to shout our order after him, was simply outrageous. Since we were going dancing afterward, my wife only wanted a small portion, a child's portion as per the menu. This was then silently increased to a regular portion and billed. It's not about the money, but about how you're treated. If two people spend over 50 euros in a restaurant, I expect at least enough respect that someone doesn't turn their backs on you and walk away while your order is being taken. I won't go into the ridiculous blob of tzatziki here.

Very, very friendly staff. They greeted us with a handshake as soon as we entered, and the friendly atmosphere continued apace. The food was delicious and the price was right. I highly recommend it.

I am extremely disappointed with my visit to this Greek restaurant. The food took an incredible 52 minutes, which is completely unacceptable. The side salad didn't arrive for 45 minutes – much too late. The portions were quite small, which is disappointing given the price and doesn't exactly improve the value for money. It wasn't busy either, so one would have expected faster and better service. My conclusion: I won't be coming back.

Authentic, warm, and confident – ​​despite a full house! We ate at Athene during a large conference – and even though the restaurant was packed and everyone wanted to eat at the same time, everything went remarkably smoothly. How the team managed it all remains a mystery to me – but it worked: The orders were correct, the food arrived promptly, and that was despite the busyness! I'd especially like to single out Dimitrios: Always friendly, always with a genuine smile – you could tell he's passionate about what he does. That really impressed us. And the food? Simply outstanding. I lived in Greece for a while myself – and here, it really tastes like a Greek grandmother cooked with love. Authentic, aromatic, and served with heart. If you love Greek cuisine, you should definitely pay this Athene a visit – even (or especially) when it's really busy.

I ate at this place with my friends this evening. The waiter was one of the nicest waiters I've ever met in my life. The prices were fair and affordable, considering the luxury of Greek food we enjoyed here. I would come back any day if I fancy a nice souvlaki, my friends. Enjoy your stay.

The restaurant is beautifully and comfortably furnished. I was greeted politely and seated very quickly. Basically, I would have liked my service employee to pay a little more attention to the operation. To be honest, I expected more from the food. The baked potatoes tasted bland, two of them were brown and inedible. The salad with rocket was large, but unfortunately it had more cheap salad than rocket and vegetables etc. But there was a lot of cheese on it! 👍🏼 The dressing was somehow way too sweet and thick. Unfortunately, that didn't make the salad very tasty or high quality.

We were here at lunchtime and were not disappointed. The gyro was thinly sliced, beautifully seasoned and incredibly tasty - definitely one of the best we've ever had! The side dishes were also fresh and appropriately coordinated. The friendly staff and fast service made the experience perfect. We are already looking forward to our next visit!

And the atmosphere and friendliness were even better... 7 years ago: My favorite Greek place!❤ I've been there a lot since childhood. Always beautiful! Super delicious Greek food, very nice waiters who greet you at the door with a handshake and say goodbye☺ There is a good and personal atmosphere, which is also accompanied by mostly Greek music🎶 The Athene restaurant is beautifully decorated with Greek sculptures Mythology etc. (Unfortunately I have to say that I miss some furnishing elements from "before", such as the oil lamps on the table and on the ceiling, or the decorative seagulls or the small waterfall that I I loved it very much as a child) Nevertheless, Athene still has a special charm and will always remain my favorite Greek restaurant. I would particularly like to highlight the following highlights: Every guest gets an ouzo before their meal, there is bread with the meal and always a digestif afterwards. And the best! At birthdays, the lights are dimmed, Happy birthday is played & there is a delicious surprise for the birthday child & his guests☺👏 Conclusion: We always enjoy eating in “our” Athene. For us it's like a short vacation in Greece❤

The best calamari you can imagine. Crispy, not overly breaded and yet heartily seasoned. Very good salad plate as a starter, lukewarm, mild ouzo first. Incredibly delicious calamari, very good suvlaki. Friendly host and very well chilled, mild wines. It's a shame we weren't there longer. Any time......

We spontaneously looked for a Greek restaurant in the area and ended up in Athene. The restaurant is very inviting inside and we were greeted with a handshake, I assume it was the boss welcomed and asked to choose a free seat. The food was also very good with free salad, baguette and ouzo. The staff was very friendly, not pushy or stressed. All in all, we really enjoyed our stay at Athene.

We had dinner in this very cozy restaurant. The service was great, everything was in a very good mood. Our starter (baked feta) and our main courses (calamari and kebab) were really tasty. We felt comfortable and were very satisfied with everything.

We were at the Athene for the second time today. This time too we were greeted warmly and brought to the table. A very courteous employee took our order and the drinks were quickly at the table. Then came the beautifully prepared and delicious side salads. The food (kebab, paros plate, Greek farmer's salad and bifteki) were also beautifully presented on the plate and tasted excellent. We will definitely come back. We liked it very much.

Have been there several times But always partly to very bad - Turkey schnitzel fried & not fried - There was hair in the espresso - Employee motivation also leaves a lot to be desired - Dirty dishes, such as empty coffee cups or glasses, are left standing forever - Bifteki, gyros or similar. We have known Athene for years. Still very tasty food and drinks. I like the lamb fillets - prepared individually according to personal preference. Salads are highly recommended.

Still the best Greek in town!! We have been regular guests for many years and are always surprised at how the restaurant, the ambience and the food are constantly developing in a positive way 👍🏾 Not to mention the very personal way in which you are welcomed as a guest and every wish is easily fulfilled!! Especially in summer, the fantastic terrace invites you to linger... it's best to come by yourself and see for yourself 😊

Shortly after entering the restaurant I was noticed and given a seat. Very nice, unobtrusive service all evening. I found the selection of starters and snacks as well as fish impressive. Nevertheless, I decided on the classic souvlaki and was not disappointed. Excellent quality meat and a nice side salad with rustic bread are also included. For under €17, this is a fair price-performance ratio! The espresso that followed was so strong that it was almost like a mocha 😁 Still very tasty! My request to pay was implemented immediately and there was no unnecessary ouzo. I found this very pleasant since I don't drink! Card payment was no problem and I was greeted warmly. All in all, a very successful evening and there was only one star deducted for the ambience. That's perfectly fine, I just would have liked a cozy niche even better.

The pita with garlic and the mixed salt were good. The main courses 1x gyros with calamari and tagliatelle with grilled chicken in cognac sauce were so-so...The calamari were not cleaned properly, there were still plastic parts from the packaging in the tube...the so-called cognac sauce was a completely normal cream sauce with no taste or anything else. Our conclusion.... No thanks
