All-you-can-eat. Wir kamen abends mit vier Freunden an und sie kümmerten sich um alles, was wir wollten.

Toller Ort um Essen zu gehen Viel Auswahl. Leider muss man zu Stoßzeiten ewig auf Personal warten. Dieses ist dann natürlich seeehr in Zeit beschränkt. Das Essen schmeckt. Preis finde ich mittlerweile etwas zu hoch für dieses Buffet. Trotzdem gehen wir hin und wieder hin.

Nach einer Empfehlung haben wir es getestet und für wirklich sehr gut empfunden. Reichlich Auswahl an Essen, Teller wurden zeitnah abgeräumt und Getränke wurden auch zügig aufgefüllt. Essen war sehr gut. Der verdauungswein wurde auch gebracht und sogar unser kind hat ein "kinderschnaps" bekommen. Alles in allem waren wir sehr zufrieden und kommen sicherlich wieder.

Ausgezeichnete Wahl für den Transfer! Wir sind rundum zufrieden :)

Kurzgefasst: Wer nichts anderes kennt, als diese Form von Buffet, wird wahrscheinlich sich damit zufrieden geben oder nach dem "Muss nur satt werden"-Prinzip speisen. Da wir jedoch einen deutlich anderen Standard gewohnt sind von unseren asiatischen (Buffet-) Restaurants Zuhause, waren wir sehr enttäuscht über die Qualität und würden definitiv nicht erneut dort speisen. Das ist vorallem für das nette Personal bedauerlich, da diese sicherlich in einem Restaurant mehr Wertschätzung bekommen könnten ohne die Frustration über das Essen. Insgesamt keine Empfehlung von uns. Das geht wirklich kulinarisch besser. Ausführliches Fazit: Wir waren spontan vor Ort nach einem geschäftlichen Treffen und kannten das Restaurant vorher nicht. Aufgrund der Bewertung von 4,4 Sternen und der Tatsache, dass wir noch nicht gegessen hatten, entschieden wir uns hier zu speisen. Die Gerichte waren alle eher lauwarm und kein einziges Gericht war bedauerlicherweise frisch und heiß. Die panierten und frittierten Garnelen waren sehr weich und labbrig - weit entfernt von heiß und knusprig. Das Hähnchen im Curry war neben der ebenfalls nur lauwarmen Temperatur sehr weich und teilweise merkwürdig in der Konsistenz. Die Kokos-Curry Soße an sich ist jedoch lecker gewesen. Das Gemüse insgesamt war in verschiedenen Gerichten ziemlich überkocht, ohne Röstaromen zu haben. Hier wäre ein richtig heißer Wok und kurze Garzeiten empfehlenswert. Das Sushi sah ziemlich verloren und dürftig angerichtet aus. Dennoch entschieden wir uns es zu probieren, was gemischte Erfahrungen mit sich brachte. Das Avocado Maki war lecker. Frische grüne Avocados mit Reis und einem Noriblatt umwickelt. Das Lachssushi war sichtlich schon länger in der Theke, weshalb es schon Trocknungstellen hatte. Insgesamt hatte sowohl das Lachssushi als auch das Thunfischsushi schon eine etwas fischigere Note, was auf eine ausbaufähige Qualität oder Frische hindeutet. Der klassische Reis war schön kernig und dennoch gut gegart. Die "gebratenen" Nudeln leider überkocht und eher matschig als gebraten. Gerichte, wie das Rindfleisch , 8 Schätze und gebratene Champignons waren salzig gewürzt und könnten für allem für salzempfindliche Menschen unangenehm sein. Die rohen Zutaten (zum Braten gedacht) wurden laut Internetfotos auf Eiswürfeln angerichtet. In der Realität lagen sie auf billigen Plastik-Blättern, statt auf frischen Salat oder eben Eis. Das erweckt keinen vertrauenswürdigen Eindruck hinsichtlich der verpflichtenden Kühlkette. Die vorgesehenen "Spangen" zum Zuordnen der Teller zum korrekten Tisch waren Holzwäscheklammern mit einem Stift beschriftet und Flecken von undefinierbaren Essensresten. Das empfanden wir als äußerst unhygienisch, auch was Bakterien etc. betrifft. Ebenfalls wurden die Essstäbchen einzeln, lose, ohne gewohnter Papierhülle in einer Schale ausgelegt, was bedeutet, das jeder der danach greift, automatisch alle anderen Stäbchen anfässt (auch an Stellen, die in den Mund genommen werden). Die Holzstäbchen sahen auch gewaschen aus, was neben der Ausgabeweise hygienisch fragwürdig ist, unserer Meinung nach. Rein spekulativ: Wer bei Stäbchen und Eis schon spart, wobei spart er möglicherweise noch, generell gesprochen? Hier wäre ein guter Restaurantmanager eine Investition, da die Lage und Restaurantgröße eigentlich mehr Potenzial hätten.

Gewohnt gut, sehr sehr freundliches Personal, Restaurant schick und gepflegt. Immer eine tolle Location für z. B. Familienfeiern usw.

Es ist ein typisches Asia-Buffet-Restaurant mit dem was man dort auch erwartet: Leckeres Essen, eine große Auswahl an Gerichten in gemütlicher, asiatischer Atmosphäre. Wir sind hier bereits etliche Male mit meiner Familie und mit Freunden gewesen. Es ist jedes Mal sehr lecker gewesen. Preis-Leistung ist sehr gut und die Bedienung ebenfalls immer freundlich und aufmerksam. Kann man nur empfehlen.

Mega lecker und riesen Angebot. Für jeden etwas dabei. Klasse ist auch das frische Angebot wie Krebse, Garnelen oder Muscheln. Preis Leistung super. Leider zu wenig Kellner da und etwas zu unorganisiert. Besuch ist ein Muss. Wir kommen wieder.

Wir waren im August 2025 im Asia Star in Waldkraiburg und waren insgesamt sehr enttäuscht. Nach meinem persönlichen Eindruck hat dieses Restaurant stark nachgelassen und ist nicht mehr mit früheren Besuchen vergleichbar. Der Zustand des Mobiliars war teilweise sehr schlecht. Vor allem im hinteren Bereich waren Stühle so stark abgenutzt, dass der Schaumstoff sichtbar herauskam. Die Tische waren deutlich ölig und machten auf mich keinen gepflegten Eindruck. Auch die Gläser wirkten nicht richtig sauber. Das Buffet überzeugte mich ebenfalls nicht. Auf dem Obst befanden sich mehrere Fliegen, weshalb ich es nicht gegessen habe. Das restliche Essen war überwiegend nur lauwarm bis fast kalt. Insgesamt hatte ich dabei kein gutes Gefühl, was für mich den gesamten Besuch sehr unangenehm gemacht hat. Der Service war langsam und wenig aufmerksam. Auf bestellte Getränke warteten wir teilweise rund 20 Minuten, und die Freundlichkeit des Personals empfand ich als eher unmotiviert. Die Cola schmeckte für mich nicht wie eine Marken-Cola, sondern eher wie ein günstiger Ersatz. Angesichts der aus meiner Sicht schwachen Qualität empfand ich die Preise als zu hoch. Das Restaurant war zudem sehr leer und hatte für mich nicht mehr den Eindruck, den es früher einmal hatte. Insgesamt leider ein sehr enttäuschender Besuch, den ich nicht weiterempfehlen kann.

Waren das 1. Mal hier Essen, Mittagsbuffet / geschlossene Gesellschaft, Nebenraum eiskalt, haben dann die Heizung selbst gefunden, die ersten 30 Minuten wurde serviert und auch abserviert,, dann passierte gar nichts mehr. Das Essen war naja, ... Wir waren mittags die ersten Gäste und trotzdem alles nur lauwarm, ... also kurzum nichts besonderes.

Essen ist gut wenn noch was da ist Service Getränke früh bestellen kommt selten jemand vorbei zum bestellen Ambiente Boden klebt sitzbänke zerrissen die nehmen es nicht so genau mit dem Sauberkeit Wir essen immer vom Buffet

The food was lukewarm, the salmon was overcooked and extremely salty, and we sent most of it back because it was too cold. Too expensive for the amount of frozen food and the lack of fresh ingredients.

Unfortunately, it's no longer good. Waited 40 minutes for drinks, buffet empty after an hour... Sadly, I can no longer recommend it.

It's nothing special, like many Asian restaurants in Germany, with buffets and aquariums. It would be special if the aquarium had saltwater fish and real corals. It's a hobby that costs money, and it's not for kids 😉😉😉

Great buffet. We happened upon it after a hiking trip and were thrilled. Everything was always replenished very quickly, the quality was high, there was a lovely herb station with fresh garlic and coriander, and the service was prompt, fast, and friendly. Great selection!

Anyone who gives a good review here probably went through the buffet with tomatoes on their eyes. Asia Stars was great when it first opened. Now I wonder how it's even allowed to welcome guests anymore. The food is not good! In every way!

I'm very satisfied. We did have to wait a bit longer for our drinks, but the food definitely made up for it. A definite recommendation for sushi fans, but even if you're not a sushi fan, there's plenty to choose from. Whether you're vegetarian, vegan, or have a different dietary preference, everyone will find something to suit their taste here. It was very clean, and the atmosphere was very pleasant and calm. Overall, I'm satisfied, although I have to admit, the food was a big plus. 👍😁

It should really be 0 stars! Most of the food was already cold. The chicken at the buffet was still RAW inside. And there were a lot of flies at the sushi buffet. The dessert (a brownie) had a hair in the batter.

I'd been there many years ago, but unfortunately had stomach problems afterward, so I never wanted to go back. This year, I thought I'd give it another chance. The first time, I couldn't complain; it was good enough, and I thought it might not replace our regular restaurant, but it would share the space. The second visit was hell. The food was practically empty, with dried-up bits to scrape out. The mussels were so old that the glass noodles on top were so hard you couldn't bite into them. Sushi was dried out, the food wasn't refilled, and we weren't asked what we'd like to eat so that some of it could be made, even if it wasn't busy. Considering that we had no choice and the service was completely ignorant, we still paid full price, which is unrealistic for what they offer. I can only recommend going to the competitor in Burghausen. They're very, very attentive. Even when it's not busy, they refill when there are customers, and the service is simply fantastic. They're also cheaper than Waldkraiburg. Erding also has a good one, which is about the same price as Waldkraiburg, but far superior in quality. In conclusion, my first decision was the right one: I'm never going there again. Absolutely ridiculous.

We returned to Asia Star after a long time, and that was also our last time. The table was very dirty. After we cleaned it, we were given dirty glasses to drink from. Three of the four forks were bent and dirty, the plates were oily. The table clamps were disgustingly dirty with old food. And some of the food was inedible. We would like to share our experience to save you from this disgusting food. It's a shame; it used to be really good.

I've been to almost every Chinese buffet in Germany. This one fails!

Unfortunately, the food isn't as good as it used to be. The meat is of poor quality (tough), especially the duck and ribs. The salmon was overcooked. The food was barely warm. As mentioned, the quality is simply poor, including the taste. Therefore, at €23.90, the food is far too expensive.

The food is very good. There's also a very large selection. The staff is always friendly. The only drawback: the terrace could perhaps benefit from a bit of privacy so that not everyone walking by can see right into it.

The cheap soda in a 1.5L plastic bottle is sold for over €4 per drink... The food is lukewarm, and the quality and taste aren't great either. Unfortunately, the quality has deteriorated considerably!

Waited a long time for service and food was ok

The blonde waitress was really rude. She gave me a really grumpy answer to a normal question. Truly disgusting. I wouldn't recommend her to anyone.!!!!

Review – Unfortunately Disappointing Our visit to this restaurant was a complete disaster. Upon entering, we weren't greeted in a friendly manner – the waitress approached us with the question, "Would you like a drink?" without even a simple "Hello" or a smile. That alone left a rude impression. The food was also disappointing. The sesame balls were rock-hard and barely edible. The other dishes were also completely unimpressive in terms of taste – carelessly prepared and of questionable quality. To make matters worse, we didn't even get napkins, which should be a given when visiting a restaurant. Overall, a very negative experience – neither the service nor the food were in any way impressive. I cannot recommend this restaurant.

I waited forever for the first drink; if you wanted another one, you had to go to the counter. The buffet was always empty; I had to wait for it to be refilled. Tables weren't cleared. The staff were completely overwhelmed, and they wouldn't come to your table so you could pay. Instead, you had to go back to the counter to pay. There were no table numbers, so you had to explain where you were sitting. Asia Star was actually recommended to me as an insider tip, but honestly, I don't think I'll go there again. As I said, charging €23.90 for a buffet and then the bowls are always empty, no thanks.

We've been going there since it reopened in 2013. Everything was top-notch. We haven't been back in a long time. The staff is lacking, the food wasn't replenished quickly enough. There was no service. You had to get your own drinks or you'd die of thirst. The food wasn't distributed from the grill; it was piled up. Nothing was replenished, everything was swept clean. I was very disappointed, but I had to pay full price. It's deteriorated considerably. The decor needs to be updated.

Unfortunately, this restaurant has declined dramatically recently. Both the quality (chewy and cheap) and temperature (lukewarm) of the food, as well as the friendliness (grumpy faces) and professionalism of the staff (who wouldn't stop by and ultimately responded to criticism with a bored expression) have a lot of room for improvement.

Buffet lauwarm, wird nicht nachgefüllt, Sushireis eine Katastrophe!! HIER WERDEN HOLZESSSTÄBCHEN MEHRFACH VERWENDET!!!!! Liegen zwar gewaschen in einem Körbchen beim Buffet aber wo gibt es bitte so was? Ja, ich rede von den klassischen Bambusstäbchen, welche man normalerweise zuerst auseinanderbrechen muss. Buffet lukewarm, not refilled, sushi rice a disaster!! HERE WOODEN CHOPSTICKS ARE USED MULTIPLE TIMES!!!!! They're lying washed in a basket at the buffet, but where can you get something like that? Yes, I'm talking about the classic bamboo sticks, which you usually have to break apart first. Staff also inattentive and unwelcoming.

Food mediocre and too expensive. Service was terrible and very unfriendly. We first had to ask the waitress to take an order several times. Despite ordering food twice when paying, we received it after over an hour and returned it. I've never experienced anything like that. Since we have been there regularly for years, this will be the last time we have been there.

We ate there on Saturday and have to say that the Asia Star has deteriorated extremely. You can't go there anymore... it's a shame, but true. Even though we were there at 5:50 p.m.: fresh buffet, only a small selection, when empty it is no longer refilled, preparation takes forever, even though there is little crowd, fried to death... sushi refilled once, then left empty. Clear away? Put your plates somewhere else. Cutlery AND plates were not replenished!! Another drink? No service. Dessert buffet at 7.30 p.m. COMPLETELY empty, very reluctantly only very little frozen cake was brought when we were informed. We ate a scoop of ice cream with chopsticks... maybe new owner? Two head service staff discussed heatedly in a foreign language why the children at the neighboring table who had just left were not charged the new €10 fine for not eating, but our companion unfortunately understood this. Unfortunately it's no longer worth the high price, we went there twice in a short space of time to rule out bad luck, the second time was even worse than the first... when we were finally able to wave someone over to pay, ah no, we'd rather just look at the exit and pay ourselves , table number is on the brackets...

A really good restaurant, highly recommended; good selection of food, there is plenty for every taste. A big disappointment, however, was the freshly fried food; the meat was extremely dry and so hard that it was not even possible to cut it and the vegetables were practically still raw and therefore also hard and almost impossible to cut; Overall, absolutely no enjoyment and a shame about the food. Next time I'll just use the ready-made dishes; They are really enough and taste very good. For dessert there are cakes, small sweets, ice cream, pudding and various fresh fruits. Conclusion: avoid freshly fried food and try the rest of the extensive selection; or maybe have a different/better experience with freshly fried food on another day.

Unfortunately, a sad and annoying story. If four out of seven people get food poisoning after visiting this restaurant, then that's anything but a pleasant experience. It was probably due to contaminated fish or shellfish that the three healthy people didn't eat. I even had to call an ambulance because of circulatory failure! I've never experienced anything like that before in my life. It shouldn't happen under any circumstances. I'd hate to imagine how many people suffered a similar fate that evening. The two stars are only due to friendliness, because the staff and the evening were otherwise fine.

I was no longer excited. The staff was unfriendly. No smile on their faces, the waitress couldn't remember 5 drinks. She had to get the boss with the note for drinks for 8 people. No please, no thank you, no wishing you a nice day, let alone no hello and no goodbye. The food wasn't refilled, it was lukewarm. Half of the buffet was only there. It was 12.30 p.m. No one came to clear the table. We weren't asked about the drinks, which were good, whether we wanted anything else. So everything about it was very unsatisfactory. Wir kamen hier immer wieder mal her zum Essen, leider hat sich aber einiges verschlechtert! Buffet war oft nicht bestückt und einiges schmeckte auch nicht frisch! Leider muss ich auch berichten, dass wir 8 Personen waren und 5 davon Silvester nicht richtig erlebt haben, weil sie krank wurden! Eine Person brauchte auch Infusionen im Krankenhaus! Selbst der Bereitschaftsdienst erzählte, dass er bereits bei einem Patienten war, der am Vortag auch in diesem Lokal war! Sehr schade und wird auch weitergegeben!

Auf Empfehlung dort zum Essen gegangen anfangs war es echt nett dann wollten wir Buffet essen war um 21:30 nichts mehr da die Reste waren kalt und auf Getränke mussten wir 3 mal nachfragen das wir etwas neues bekommen....

There were several people there for lunch. The food was delicious and the selection was large. I liked everything I tried. The waitresses were a bit disorganized. We ordered drinks that were forgotten and several people were served and we didn't know whether the order had been registered. The dessert was also great, there was something for everyone. The rooms are a bit large and impersonal but the aquarium is very nice.

Were there for dinner. Were moved twice due to reservations. The friendliness of the staff can be improved greatly. It's standard food at completely inflated prices (buffet) and nothing special. We won't go here anymore.

The food was super tasty and everything was very freshly prepared. The first drinks also came very quickly. However, after the plates were cleared, there was no more service. We had to wait over an hour until someone came.

We used to eat more often, it was always good... Unfortunately I have to say that a lot of the buffet is no longer what it used to be... The salad buffet was a disappointment for me, unless you only like seafood, seaweed salad? etc.... Unfortunately, many things weren't really warm either... Always delicious. Nice atmosphere. Good service! It was like that before. But we went there on January 30 and were shocked! Got some rotten meat. The strawberry dessert was on ice! There was a long wait for drinks! We've already eaten more than one plate! We are suffering from stomach pain now and stomatitis has come out in our mouth! After the price increase, the service has become worse. It’s a shame. We visited today, 09.28.24, everything worked out. We don’t understand what happened in January. Food and service are ok.

Buffet is expensive, grill is not possible if you sit on the terrace. Operation without knowledge of German. The food wasn't even lukewarm. Well, it's summer, but I don't like eating some foods cold. Although the lettuce isn't the freshest, the tomatoes are already sweating. I would definitely advise against sushi. Then I'll move on to dessert, although the selection is too small for €22.90. The food was absolutely not good, the staff was completely disinterested and now everyone has a stomach ache.

My husband and I came to the dinner buffet on Saturday with full anticipation. We had never been there before and chose this restaurant based on the pictures. We arrived at around 7 p.m. Unfortunately there was no more sushi, no fruit, no cake and the salads looked like they were from the lunch buffet. Unfortunately, the few pieces of sushi that were still there smelled very strong. When we asked if anything else was being done, we were told that there wasn't much going on today and nothing was being done. For a store that stays open until 10 p.m., that's pretty poor performance. Then you just have to prepare the food in small quantities so that it stays fresh and you don't throw anything away. Unfortunately, the waiters understand absolutely NO German. I don't know about the other days, but on a Saturday evening you actually expect good service and good food. I think there is something wrong in this store and something urgently needs to be changed. One thing is certain for us: never again! It's really not worth the money, it's better to go to other restaurants where you know you're getting fresh food and what you're paying for.

It's unfortunate, I came back after months because I've been to the restaurant a few times and it's unfortunate that the service and food are now not what they were before. The food wasn't fresh, there were flies everywhere, if you wanted to eat inside the restaurant there is no air conditioning. Some of the display cases where the food is displayed are full of mosquitoes. I think they should urgently remodel everything! I'm really sorry that it is like this now. And for the price they are now, I think they should change something immediately

Shrimp were bad. Many dishes are no longer fresh. The sushi rice was already partially dried out from standing for so long. "Crispy" chicken was swimming in the poorly seasoned tomato sauce for a long time. The toilet facilities were dirty. Service ok, aquarium well maintained and nice ambience. After eating for 62 euros (2x buffet and 4 drinks), we both had gastrointestinal problems. Therefore no recommendation from me.

Absolutely no recommendation, we were 7 adults and 3 children (5yrs. 2yrs. 3yrs.) And wanted to have a nice meal after my daughter's baptism. - Buffet You don't pay anything for children up to the age of 4, and it's also advertised. We were still charged 13 euros per child. When we brought this up, we were warned very loudly and, above all, pointed out to other guests. We also had to pay an extra €10 because the plates weren't completely empty. We were escorted out screaming and asked not to come back. Just a disgrace.

food was good, Service very unfriendly, shouted at because kids didn't eat everything (it was a plate from the buffet). I offered to take the food with me so that there would be no extra charge, they deliberately charged 12.90 euros + 10 euros extra for children aged 2 and 3 years. Way too expensive and very rude. Don't go in there anymore.

Visiting time Tuesday evening 7:30 p.m. 2 people We were greeted warmly at the entrance and shortly afterwards our order was taken. The process was quick, but unfortunately too quick because our drink order was initially incorrect. The store was only about 15% full and a lot of the tables were reoccupied and didn't have cutlery. Volume very pleasant. Price ok to expensive. At €22.90 I expect a buffet where all the food is still available and fresh. The buffet was already a bit thinned out and popular meat, scallops and sushi were no longer replenished. I was just able to grab the last crayfish. Unfortunately, Ebi Tempura shrimp were fried too briefly and were still a bit raw inside. The Mongolian grill is on point and tastes good. Plenty of sauces and enough ingredients. Conclusion good. Still ok compared to before Corona Would come again

Came at lunchtime during the week. Since we already knew from previous visits that you can eat well here, the buffet surprised us. It was always refilled and there was plenty for everyone. The staff is very friendly. We will come back .

A nice restaurant with very nice staff who always look after the guests and really hurry up. The selection of drinks is absolutely sufficient or actually more than that and the order is completed quickly. The food selection is absolutely top. Everyone will find what they are looking for here, regardless of whether they are omnivores, vegetarians or vegans. There is enough choice even for those who are not particularly into Asian food. Meat, fish, vegetables, salad, side dishes, desserts - everything is available in a large selection and quantity. And the taste is absolutely perfect too. In my opinion, the quality of the food is also perfect, so far I haven't had any reason to complain - and I've probably been there 10 times or more. The restaurant itself is very clean, tidy and well-maintained, including the sanitary facilities. A few more nice room dividers could create an even better ambience, but that's complaining at the highest level. I think it's good to note that an additional fee has to be paid for overflowing plates that aren't eaten empty and I hope it's not just an empty threat, but will also be implemented so that people can continue to be sensible there Prices can go out to eat. The prices are within a fair range - I think 110 euros for 4 adults plus 6 drinks is absolutely okay. I am happy to give this restaurant 5 stars and would be happy to recommend it to others.
