It's very tasty. Only the food and drinks take a little longer than usual.

The food was very tasty, but the preparation speed left something to be desired. The appetizer took 45 minutes, and the main course arrived an hour later. It took another 10 minutes to pay the bill.

Extremely pleasant staff and atmosphere. The best Thai food I've had so far. I highly recommend it.

I can't agree with the many positive reviews. Unfortunately, our experience was completely different. The service staff is friendly and fast—yes. The food, however, was unfortunately not particularly good. One dish was particularly greasy, unseasoned, and definitely not in keeping with the Thai label. The Vietnamese dish lacked fresh herbs (which are what a bun thrives on), the meat was very tough, and the accompanying salad unfortunately had very noticeable oxidation spots. The Vietnamese iced tea, however, was very good. Overall: unloving, uncreative, inauthentic Asian cuisine.

Halong didn't impress me with its taste, and it won't be one of my favorite restaurants. But I'd be happy to come back to create my own meal, according to my taste. It's a bit more expensive, but I'm convinced the quality of the food here can be very good. There are much worse Chinese restaurants. I don't like the ambiance because of the uncomfortable floor, and some of the chairs are in the middle of the room. And the chairs aren't that comfortable either. However, the lighting is absolutely beautiful. For those who like sharing their food with annoying wasps in August and September, there's also an outdoor area. However, the main road between Kassel and Sandershausen is very close. The restaurant has a very social outlook. The owners support the Boys' Day in Hesse every year. So, by chance, we were served that day by a very friendly, motivated, and talented boy who really enjoyed working as a waiter and server. We think it's impressive that they support Boys' Day so much here and give a boy the opportunity to gain valuable professional experience for later on. Otherwise, the waiters were relatively friendly to us. Nothing particularly positive, but nothing negative either. I'll definitely be back, that's for sure, even though it's quite expensive here. But quality has its price.

Update: I was there for dinner with friends again. What I experienced there today is something I've NEVER experienced before. HaLong was busy. They understand that it can take a little longer. The service staff was a bit overwhelmed. They showed us to our table because of our online reservation. Then nothing happened for a long time. Our drinks weren't served, nor our food. We then waited 30 minutes for drinks and another 90 minutes for our food. Two side dishes were missing. Okay...it can happen. But to then be called a liar because we didn't order the side dishes at all, and in such a rude tone...I've never experienced that before. There were five of us at the table, and everyone confirmed to the service staff that the side dishes had been ordered. It was vehemently denied. I left the restaurant after being attacked like that. One regular customer down!! What a shame. I used to enjoy eating there because of the good food (oh yeah...all the dishes were lukewarm today). However, the service staff can't do anything about that. Skills shortage!!!

My favorite restaurant and a real insider tip in the summer 😉 The homemade drinks are great! And the sauces always taste fresh. We always feel at home. The team is also young and dynamic, something you don't see often. We'd love to come back!

To keep it short. The noodle side dish was already rotting. It smelled really sour. Honestly, folks, I just happened to leave our noodles outside in the kitchen, and they didn't smell that bad after two days. Absolutely disgusting, the kind of food you're serving. It's truly hazardous to your health. The health department definitely needs to come to your place. And then they try to tell me it's the soy sauce. I'm asking you to be serious. Just thinking about the noodles makes me sick. Ugh.

We eat here often with the family and always leave satisfied. This time we waited a little longer for the food, but the staff was very friendly. We'd be happy to come back :-)

The restaurant has a pleasant ambiance, friendly staff, and a wide selection of different dishes. The drinks selection is also extensive. There's a beer garden with parasols and a terrace that can be protected from the elements with transparent plastic tarpaulins. Free parking is available directly at the restaurant. The portions of the delicious food are generous. We love coming here. We definitely recommend it!

We've always enjoyed eating here and have been satisfied with the quality and service. Unfortunately, this time we had a very unpleasant experience: We discovered a fly in our food that had obviously been there for some time and hadn't just flown in later. This spoiled our appetite. One server was very friendly and accommodating, but another unfortunately showed little empathy and didn't even apologize properly when we asked for the bill. Such incidents can happen, of course, but how we handle them is crucial.

Here you can get the best Vietnamese pho soup in all of Kassel!!! I've been to Halong many times. The food is a dream for the price. I recommend Duck Gumbao with rice. The service is world class!!! The ambience with the new toilets and the floor makes the ambience modern and stylish. In my opinion the best restaurant in all of Kassel!

Both myself and my parents have been customers here for years and are extremely happy with the food. The staff is always polite and courteous and the atmosphere is nice and cozy. There are also gluten-free dishes.

Very modern Asian furnished, not visually overloaded with Asian knick-knacks. Certainly attractive in the summer with an outdoor area. The menu is ok, no highlights, but good to eat. Service attentive and friendly.

And here we have, in my humble opinion, one of the best Asian cuisines. The first thing I do when I get to Kassel is go to this restaurant and order duck in a wok. I ask the waiter to tell the kitchen to add some more vegetables to the sauce and this is a dish called dupa rawana, it's so delicious it's shocking.

Very nice restaurant, good and tasty food. There are only a few parking spaces in front of the restaurant, but you can also park on the street and then you just have to walk a bit.

Authentic Vietnamese food! I have eaten at Halong several times and am thrilled every time. The food tastes incredibly good, be sure to try the summer rolls, wok dishes and the traditional Pho soup. I ate Pho in Vietnam and the Halong surpassed it in terms of taste!

We ordered food to pick up. As agreed, we arrived after 30 minutes and had to wait another 30 minutes until the food was ready! And all without a single word of apology?! The food itself was okay, but please improve your communication with the kitchen...How else can you, as a waitress, misjudge the preparation time so much?

We went to Halong on the recommendation of friends. The service is great and the price-performance ratio is right. The portions are big enough (we even had to have our food packed). You can even get free rice if you ask. The 70D is highly recommended. For that reason alone we will come back! The cocktails tasted great - greetings to the bartender 😉

I don't need it again. Food was unseasoned and way too dry. When asked by the service staff: Pasta is always dry, but we also meant the meat and no one here is interested. Last but not least, getting a lot of money twice doesn't make you popular.

The food is excellent... but... we ate there on a Sunday evening at 8 p.m.... there were still 2-3 tables occupied with guests... around 8:45 p.m. when we were at the main course... the service had already started cleaning the place... can You can do that if you don't bother the guests too much... the crowning achievement, however, was when a service employee started vacuuming the place with a battery-powered Dyson vacuum cleaner... We didn't feel comfortable... it was almost at the level... we eat up and leave...

This restaurant was a complete waste of time. The waiter carelessly threw menus on the table without giving us an appropriate greeting. Then he disappeared for 20 minutes. To every legitimate question about the menu, he reacted in an extremely annoyed and rude manner, and even became downright aggressive. I have never experienced such a bad service experience. We then left the restaurant immediately.

First the good: the look and design of the facility is timeless and neutral, so it will certainly appeal to many. The four waitresses were very friendly and tried hard, but also probably overwhelmed, but more on that later. The restaurant was only a third full inside and outside, but we were immediately told that it might take a little longer. The drinks came quite quickly and we were able to order the food and the appetizer. After 45 minutes we asked if we could get the starter before the main course and it actually came 10 minutes later. Unfortunately, the mini spring rolls consisted almost entirely of dough and hardly any filling. In terms of taste, the sauce couldn't provide a highlight either. After almost 1.5 hours our food finally arrived. Unfortunately that wasn't a highlight either. The food must have been in the kitchen for a while because it wasn't really hot anymore and the sauce had dried out a bit (skin formation). The vegetable pieces were almost as big as pieces of duck. There was no taste of soy in the sauce and the duck had a noticeable edge of fat, but the meat was very dry. When we were finished eating, we were asked again for drinks... so almost two stands after the first drinks! Ultimately, I don't know whether the kitchen was so overwhelmed or the wait staff, but what would they have done if there had been more people there? My wife and I had the same food and there was probably something wrong with it. I barely made it home and then the toilet was my best friend and even this morning I was still having cramps. My wife also struggles with severe nausea until late at night. Another addition to the lemonade on offer: definitely too much lemon in the strawberry lemonade! There will certainly not be another visit for us, which is a shame.

Super nice service. The food was also very, very tasty. I was able to put the order together myself. It costs a little more but is worth it. It was also served very nicely and tasted great. This was the crispiest, tastiest breading I've had on outside chicken in a long time. The game was even streamed on a screen during the European Championship

Unfortunately I was disappointed today. The rice was mushy and overcooked and in the sauce with vegetables, you could look for the vegetables. Really a shame. I drive all the way there because I was always satisfied. Unfortunately not worth the money today.

So the food tasted good and looked appetizing too. We were seated at a dirty table, and several other tables were not wiped down, even though the restaurant was not busy. Unfortunately, the toilets, including the floors, were totally sticky and dirty. Judging by the dirt, it's been like this for a very long time. Unfortunately, I couldn't see the kitchen, so I can't say anything about the hygiene condition. Since hygiene plays a big role for me when visiting a restaurant, only two stars for me!

Had a spontaneous meal at the restaurant. We were all very positively surprised. I've never eaten such delicious Chinese before. The service was also super great. Unfortunately I found it very loud as there is only one large room without a divider. Since I suffer from anxiety disorders, we had to pay quickly. But that wasn't a problem. I was even allowed to take my drink with me. But we'll bring the glass back.

Super delicious food! I've been eating here for years and I've never been disappointed. With the delicious food, the friendly service and the vivid ambience, every visit becomes an experience. The restaurant offers a wide variety of delicious Asian dishes, which means you can always try something new, even over a long period of time. Great attention is paid to cleanliness, especially in the toilets. There's nothing wrong with the prices either. The only disadvantage is that you can only order the food to be picked up, which is why you have to go to restaurants that deliver after a long day. It still more than deserves 4 stars!

The food at Ha Long is always of very high quality, absolutely delicious and plentiful. I usually enjoy ordering there. The only disadvantage is the long waiting time. I ordered there 6 times, waited twice for an hour (!) for the food, and then one came wrong. The last time, in order to avoid the waiting time, I pre-ordered for a specific time. When I got there it wasn't ready, or I was told "ready soon" and then I had to wait another 20 minutes, even though the shop was pretty empty.

The food (vegan) was prepared very quickly and tasted very good. Full marks for that! Points deducted, however, for the large fish in the very small, irritation-free aquarium. 😥 This is very sad to see! 😥 The aquarium would have to be much larger and have plants etc. Until this was changed accordingly, I would definitely not support the restaurant on a regular basis!

The main course (crispy duck) and dessert (baked pineapple) were delicious. The service is friendly and attentive. Despite numerous guests, the noise level was still okay. I really like the lamps.

I have been visiting this restaurant for over 15 years (previously as a small snack bar at another location). For me and my family it's simply the best place for delicious Asian food. It always tastes good and the service is great. The young team is always on their toes and things always happen quite quickly. Keep it up and here’s to the next 15 years 👍🏼

Das Essen kam sehr schnell und es ist sehr lecker gewesen. Das Ambiente was sehr ansprechend und die Bedienung war auch sehr nett.

Das Essen war lecker und das Restaurant an sich sieht sehr schön aus, man musste nur ziemlich lange auf sein Essen warten. 🥲 wäre auch schön, wenn es das Mochieis wieder geben würde oder generell Mochi als Dessert :p

Hatte Ente süss sauer für 14 Euro plus 3 Euro Aufpreis für Nudeln, trockener Reis ist kostenlos.....sorry für 17 Euro kann ich schon in einem richtigen Restaurant essen gehen und bekomme leckeres Essen. Die Ente ist nicht knusprig und zäh, daher ist sie dünn geschnitten dass man sie überhaupt beissen kann. Die Speisen sind unzureichend gewürzt, probiert ihn euer Essen selbst mal???? Also def. Keine Empfehlung vor allem vom Preis Leistungsverhältnis.

Bestes Asiatisches Restaurant in Kassel! Das Essen schmeckt sehr sehr gut, egal für was man sich entscheidet. Das Ambiente ist authentisch und bringt den Asiatischen Touch rein. Bis jetzt wurden wir in diesem Restaurant noch nie entäuscht. Es lohnt sich auf jeden Fall dieses Lokal zu besuchen, wenn man die Asiatische Küche mag! Das Servicepersonal ist freundlich und macht gute Arbeit.

Wer Glutamat mag, hier ist der beste Ort dafür. Alles schmeckt identisch, meist sind die Namen anders aber irgendwie der Geschmack nicht. Naja für eine asiatische Küche erwarte mir ich andere Leistung bzw. mehr!!?! Wie auch immer, ich komm nicht mehr.

Alles in allem ein sehr gutes Restaurant. Wir waren zu zweit hier und es hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Das Essen war echt super. 😊 Es war allerdings an dem Abend etwas viel los, so dass der Service ein wenig... chaotisch(?)... wirkte. Aber dennoch war es echt toll hier. Gerne wieder.
