Asia One - Sushi und China Restaurant in Landau in der Pfalz

I think the sushi is very, very tasty! I think the ambiance is a bit off-putting. A very good, inexpensive alternative to Koza in Landau.

The shop itself used to be a home-style restaurant near the train station, which has since changed hands. While not much has been invested in the infrastructure (especially the restrooms have seen better days), it looks like a mashup of Asia meets the Palatinate :p But the staff is very friendly, the food comes out quickly (at least in the evenings when I'm "on the hunt"), and the price-performance ratio is solid (sushi, as well as the hot dishes). The place doesn't (yet) invite you to linger. But all fans of takeout food will get their money's worth here, as the kitchen is incredibly fast (usually 10-15 minutes). I love going there and enjoying the sushi... The star deduction is due to the ambiance, which could be improved (but hey, I'd rather invest the money in the kitchen than in decor, that's my motto): It's good enough for a meal (or lunch), but a date or business lunch would probably be out of place.
