We ordered food from this restaurant via a delivery service. After the app had indicated for quite some time that the delivery person was on their way, but the delivery still took a while to arrive, we called to confirm they had the correct address. We were told loudly and irritably on the phone that everything was correct and that delivery was imminent. Three-quarters of an hour later, we contacted the delivery service. The restaurant finally informed us by phone that they had indeed made a mistake with the address and promised us a refund. After more than two hours, the food arrived cold, and consequently, the taste was only mediocre. Furthermore, the bill was never canceled, contrary to what had been promised several times over the phone. The quality of the food and the service were therefore disappointing, so we'll consider it a one-off experience. If you're looking for good food with good, friendly service, you should choose a different restaurant.

Ordered Indian dishes plus raita yogurt. One of the yogurts tasted like yeast and was spoiled. I was promised a refund, but it never arrived. I feel ripped off. Thanks for that. Edit for my reply: It was the same raita twice. It doesn't normally taste like yeast, and only that one yogurt tasted like it. I already called... What else can I do? I was assured during the phone call that I would get a refund, but no one has responded.

The biryani hit with perfectly spiced layers of rice and tender chicken, while the tikka masala brought that buttery depth of flavor. Warm, fluffy naan sealed the experience beautifully. Every bite felt carefully crafted and was really amazing experience. Thank you so much for this wonderful food and service.

We ate there a few days ago, and the server was very friendly but understood very little German. We ordered what we saw on other guests' tables because we simply couldn't get any information about the food. Our first impression upon entering was the strong smell of something burning coming from the kitchen (there was no ventilation), the second was the carpet, and finally, the toilets. The price was okay, and we ate, but we don't know what we ate. No, we won't be coming back.

We were here today with friends, the food was delicious, perfectly seasoned, and the price was right. The owner is incredibly nice and friendly. We'll definitely be back!

We ordered two meals. Twenty minutes after the promised delivery time, I called to ask when the food would arrive. They said it would be in three minutes. It arrived another 20 minutes later. It was lukewarm.

First time ordering from there. That was the last time. Taste-wise, it barely deserves a 2 (out of 5). The rice smelled and tasted musty. Far too sweet and lacking in spices. Way too expensive for what it was.

If you want to eat amazing Indian food at a great price, this is the place to go. Delicious food, very friendly service, and the prices are really reasonable (6 people including drinks, main course, and a shared appetizer, about €145).

We had only ordered three dishes for lunch – hardly a masterpiece of organization for a restaurant. Half an hour over the stated delivery time, we called. We were told that the food hadn't even started being prepared. They then promised us delivery in 20 minutes – 50 minutes after the originally announced time, mind you. Of course, this promise wasn't kept either. Instead, we waited another 40 minutes until, after a total of one and a half hours, we finally had to cancel the order. An apology or any kind of concession? None. The call was simply ended mid-conversation. I've never encountered such disastrous service before. I would not recommend this restaurant in any way.

Not recommended. High prices, low quality. The rice bowl wasn't even completely full. A lot of sauces, some of which were indefinable and unappealing, and very little meat. Only the raita and the naan bread were recommendable. We will never order from there again.

Today is our second time here to enjoy the finest, authentic Indian cuisine. The elaborate and lovingly designed ambiance transports you away from everyday life to India. The hosts are warm and very attentive. Our entire family will definitely recommend this place.

We've ordered from there several times via Lieferando and found the food delicious. Last time, we ordered through the restaurant's website, and without any notification, the food never arrived. We received an order confirmation via email, but the restaurant was unavailable by phone or email, and the food never arrived. Therefore, I would strongly advise against ordering through the restaurant's website.

The lamb pieces in the mango sauce were manageable, very economical, lamb 45 was not medium as ordered. The lamb was tough, or the knife didn't cut... Card payment not possible, cash only. The staff was very friendly.

We have dinner for our aunt's birthday on December 17th for delivery on December 20th. ordered home. There was an order confirmation in which the delivery date was December 20th. was confirmed at 6:00 p.m. But it was delivered on December 17th. around 8:30 p.m. So the birthday dinner was a failure. Furthermore, the hot food and the ice cream that we had ordered for dessert were delivered in the same box, which meant that the ice cream was no longer eaten because it had melted. At Ashokahouse on Peterhofstrasse we have received no response several times after asking for a statement and informing us why the delivery was made on the wrong day despite an order confirmation. We have been very happy with Ashokahouse, the one in the city center, but will avoid this Indian restaurant in the future.

Am 17.12. haben wir für unsere Tante ein Abendessen als Geburtstagsüberraschung bestellt, das am 20.12. um 18:00 Uhr geliefert werden sollte. Die Bestellung wurde bestätigt, einschließlich des gewünschten Liefertermins. Leider wurde das Essen jedoch bereits am 17.12. gegen 20:30 Uhr geliefert – drei Tage zu früh. Dadurch war das geplante Geburtstagsessen hinfällig. Zusätzlich wurden das warme Essen und das bestellte Eis in derselben Box transportiert, wodurch das Eis vollständig geschmolzen und ungenießbar war. Trotz mehrfacher Versuche, beim Ashokahouse in der Peterhofstraße eine Erklärung für die falsche Lieferung zu erhalten, haben wir keine Rückmeldung erhalten. Bisher waren wir mit dem Ashokahouse in der Innenstadt immer sehr zufrieden, doch nach dieser Erfahrung werden wir das Restaurant in Zukunft meiden.

Awful experience. Order arrived 30 minutes late (I waited over 90 minutes in total!), and the delivery person claimed he couldn't find my house and couldn't get to it because of 'chaos' (at least that's what I understood over the phone, I could not make out what he was saying properly). Shocker, there was absolutely no real reason he couldn't reach my house. So I had to go out in the winter cold to pick up the food, which arrived messy and crushed inside the bag, and was cold and didn't taste good. Horrible! Never again.

It's just sad what we were served here. We had to wait over an hour for our food, which tasted like cardboard and wood. My friend has Indian roots and was just sad about this cuisine. I visited the restaurant with my family and friends on a Sunday evening after seeing many positive reviews hoping for a great meal. We arrived early so the place wasn't crowded and had the benefit of free parking at the hotel. The service was excellent—attentive and friendly, making us feel immediately welcome. I was also impressed by the hygiene standards, which is always a plus. Unfortunately the quality of the food was disappointing. Most of the dishes had a similar taste and lacked the clear flavors I was expecting. The palak paneer, for example, had an unnatural green color, indicating the use of artificial colors rather than fresh ingredients. Furthermore, the restaurant did not accept credit cards and did not issue a receipt. Due to the stark contrast between the excellent service and the mediocre food, I decided to give it a rating of 3 out of 5. This is an average rating that reflects the appreciated service and the subpar food.

I have been ordering from here from years but I have been disappointed with my latest order. I ordered an indian mango lassi from lieferando but instead received only a sad tetrapak with mango juice. When I tried to correct the order, both the delivery driver and the person in the restaurant didn't believe it even though I had a screenshot to prove it and showed it to them. Their tone and service was so horrible even when I was showing that I had ordered the correct item, just telling me it was not their problem. I ended up receiving a refund but the experience was so bad when I just wanted a relaxing dinner that I doubt I will order here again.

Danger! Vouchers are only accepted for exactly 12 months, after which there is no response or suggestions on how to come to an agreement. There is no response to email either, which is a shame. Probably not interested in acquiring new customers. So I can't say anything about the food, which I definitely won't test here. Fortunately, there are still enough restaurateurs who also value customer service.

The music was way too loud at the beginning and the bass was turned up like it was in a club. This changed little by little and you could eat your food in peace. Food was OK. Paying only in cash doesn't mean anything good for me... I didn't have enough money with me and had to withdraw extra money.

The restaurant is nice with indian vibes and older hindi music playing. Tables are well set with candles and red cloths. I went in for dinner and the place filled after I went in. The food was normal. For some reason there was red onions/beetroot on all the dishes as garnish/decoration. The chilli chicken was nice and big chunks and the sauce was abit salty but still pretty good. The Mutton Kashmir Biryani had a more herb-y taste than spices. There was no egg and papadam given. Raita was given. The Mutton was small portioning compared to the rice. I also ordered Palak Paneer. I didn't know that the paneer came with another rice. So I had too much food to eat haha. (Packed it back) The Palak Paneer was good. Paneer was soft chewy and the palak was well seasoned. Mango lassi was pretty good! But really sweet so take note if youre not a sweet tooth person. Gulab Jamun was nice and it was hot. Service was mainly one person but he was pretty fast about it. And could handle the people quickly.

Very nicely decorated, cozy restaurant with a friendly boss and very courteous waiters! Food is very tasty and really fresh! You can even taste all the herbs and spices! The wishes of the customers are always taken into account. You also get a little something on the house before your meal ☺️ There is a small terrace outside, but it is a bit noisy because of the busy street, so we prefer to sit inside ☺️ By far the best restaurant in Augsburg and the surrounding area ☺️

Just had food delivered from Ashokahouse Augsburg/Hochzoll for the first time. Unfortunately the vegetarian main courses were very bad. :( I had Matter Methi Malai but the curry cream sauce was very tasteless. Then I also had a tiny stone in my food. The second dish, Shahi Baingan, was a total failure. Also absolutely tasteless and completely oversweet. Did the cook confuse sugar with salt? We would have sent the food back to the restaurant. Only the starters were ok. Unfortunately, the cozy dinner was ruined.

So the good reviews really surprise me!!!! We were just there because we live nearby and wanted to try it out. The food was just bad (I've been to India and can judge that). This has nothing to do with Indian food. We had a Thaly with different types of meat and had to guess the types of meat, it was also extremely fatty. Card payment not possible, invoice receipt not available. The waitress came to the table and simply stated an amount - As a simple, normal taxpayer you shouldn't go here, it's not fair. The background music has nothing to do with India either.

I just passed this "restaurant" I wanted to drive past a van that was parked in the bike path. I was attacked by the staff and owner, and after a scuffle I drove on, I don't think I'll be a customer there, and I had just returned from India and wanted to try it, whether their menu is similar to the original
