Authentisch indischer Geschmack mit europäischen Einflüssen bei der Tellerpräsentation, das habe ich so noch nicht in Augsburg gesehen. Der persönliche Service rundet es ab. Das Ambiente im Lokal selbst ist indisch modern, von aussen eher unscheinbar, da das Restaurant nun im Eisenbahner Sportverein neu aufgemacht hat.

Wir waren neulich hier essen und sind immer noch ganz begeistert. Das Essen ist fantastisch, super aromatisch und authentisch. Man merkt sofort, dass hier mit viel Liebe gekocht wird. Die Portionsgrößen sind richtig gut, hier geht niemand hungrig nach Hause. Der Besitzer ist zudem unglaublich herzlich und gastfreundlich und hat uns den ganzen Laden gezeigt von innen, wir haben uns sofort willkommen gefühlt. Es war einfach ein tolles Erlebnis und wir kommen definitiv bald wieder!

Auch das Personal ist äußerst freundlich, aufmerksam und sorgt dafür, dass man einen rundum gelungenen Aufenthalt hat. Wer auf der Suche nach hochwertiger indischer Küche in Augsburg ist, sollte das Ashoka House unbedingt besuchen. Ich komme gerne wieder und freue mich schon auf meinen nächsten Besuch. Wir waren zu Gast in Augsburg und sind sehr froh diese kulinarische Perle entdeckt zu haben. Hier wurden wir mit indischen Köstlichkeiten auf höchstem Niveau verwöhnt. Zusätzlich ist auch der Inhaber super nett. Wir können einen Besuch nur empfehlen.

Sehr leckeres Essen und großzügige Portionen. Schön ausgewogen gewürzt und sehr zartes Fleisch und butterweicher Fisch. Freundlich und aufmerksamer Service der auch Diät Besonderheit berücksichtigt

Heute haben wir ein neues Restaurant in Pfersee besucht. Das Essen hat uns begeistert. Jedes Gericht war anders, originell präsentiert und schmeckte einzigartig. Alles war frisch, und auch der indische Wein war hervorragend. Der Besitzer war freundlich und zuvorkommend. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder und empfehlen das Restaurant gerne weiter. Wir wünschen Ihnen viel Erfolg!

Wir waren lange Zeit zufriedene Kunden und haben die langen Lieferzeiten für das sehr gute Essen gerne in Kauf genommen. Nach unserer ersten Bestellung am neuen Standort (diesmal Selbstabholung) sind wir jedoch maßlos enttäuscht. Das Lokal wirkt leider sehr schmutzig und heruntergekommen. Schlimmer ist jedoch die Veränderung beim Essen: Die Portionen haben sich fast halbiert, während der Geschmack und die Qualität des Essens meilenweit von dem entfernt, was wir früher gewohnt waren. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis existiert schlichtweg nicht mehr. Wir werden uns nun nach einem anderen Inder umsehen müssen – eine erneute Bestellung kommt für uns nicht mehr in Frage. Sehr schade!

Das Restaurant Ashoka House in Augsburg Hochzoll ist seit 02/2026 geschlossen. Man kann hier nicht vor Ort Essen oder Essen abholen. Bestellungen werden von der anderen AshokaHouse Filiale in Augsburg bearbeitet.

Er hat mir extra dass essen gebracht obwohl die gleich zu gemacht hätten und dass essen butter chicken ist viel zu gut

Essen bestellt und nach zwei Stunden wurde meine Bestellung storniert. Was für ein Service ist das denn?? Reine Enttäuschung für so ein Restaurant. Schade, dass ich keine Zero Sterne vergeben kann.

Die Lieferzeiten sind ein Witz!!

Ich habe mal nicht bei meinem Lieblingsinder in Gersthofen bestellt sondern hier und war leider etwas enttäuscht. Geschmacklich nicht so berauschend wie man es sonst von indischem Essen kennt. Die ganzen tollen Gewürze und das gewisse Extra hat gefehlt. Es war oooookay aber ich habe es schon besser gegessen.

Update: Die direkt auf der Website bestellten Speisen wurden nie geliefert, trotz Bestellbestätigung per Mail. Als ich 30 min nach geplanter Lieferzeit angerufen habe, habe ich erfahren, dass sich die Bestellung wohl nicht lohnt für das Restaurant und daher auch nicht geliefert wird. In so einem Fall hätte ich sofort eine Stornierung durch das Restaurant erwartet. So sieht kein guter Service und eine faire Behandlung von Kunden aus! ------ Ursprüngliche Bewertung: Sehr leckere und schön angerichtete Speisen. Ausgesprochen freundlicher Service. Hervorragendes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis beim Mittagstisch vor Ort.

Wirklich sehr Schade!!! War bis jetzt immer lecker , leider die letzte Bestellung nicht mehr. Minderwertiges Hähnchenfleisch (teilweise mit Knochen und Knorpel - kein Hähnchenbrust wie sonst), wenig Soße, der Reis schmeckt nach nichts und der Naan ist wie normales Fladenbrot.

Die neue Verpackung gefällt mir nicht. Die Portionen sind kleiner geworden, der Preis bleibt aber gleich, das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis stimmt leider nicht mehr.

Wir bestellen schon seit langer Zeit regelmäßig hier und waren bisher auch immer zufrieden. Leider hat sich in letzter Zeit einiges zum Negativen verändert. Durch die neue Verpackung sind die Portionen deutlich kleiner geworden, der Preis ist jedoch gleich geblieben - das empfinden wir als sehr schade und nicht angemessen. Den Reis bestellen wir sonst immer in der gleichen Variante und waren damit auch stets zufrieden, dieses Mal hat er jedoch leider nicht gut geschmeckt. Auch die Vorspeise entsprach nicht unserer Erwartung. Wir hoffen sehr, dass die Qualität und das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis wieder verbessert werden, da wir das Restaurant eigentlich immer gern unterstützt haben.

Leider waren wir dieses Mal sehr enttäuscht. Wir haben 3 Hauptgerichte und eine Vorspeise bestellt. Nur ein Gericht (Butter Chicken) kam mit Reis, bei den anderen beiden Hauptgerichten fehlte der Reis komplett – anscheinend ist das neuerdings so. Wir bestellen seit ca. 8 Jahren regelmäßig dort und kennen es nicht, dass man nur Fleisch und Soße mit etwas Naan bekommt. Sehr schade. Das Butter Chicken war außerdem scharf, was wir von diesem Gericht dort bisher nicht kannten. Unsere 19 Monate alte Tochter konnte es dadurch nicht essen. Die Portionsgrößen sind insgesamt deutlich kleiner geworden. Zusätzlich war die Fleischqualität extrem schlecht. Es sah und schmeckte nicht nach 100 % Hähnchenfleisch. Bei genauerem Hinsehen haben wir festgestellt, dass sowohl beim Butter Chicken als auch bei der Vorspeise (Chicken Pakora) das Fleisch sehr merkwürdig faserig war und offenbar Bindemittel enthielt. Das war wirklich unangenehm. Für den Preis leider absolut unterirdisch. Sehr enttäuschend – wir werden dort nicht mehr bestellen.

Wir bestellten über einem Lieferservice Essen bei diesem Restaurant. Nachdem uns über die App schon lange angezeigt worden ist, dass der/die Lieferant/-in gleich vor Ort sei, die Lieferung aber weiter auf sich warten ließ, hatten wir uns telefonisch informieren wollen, ob sie denn die richtige Adresse haben. Uns wurde lautstark und genervt am Telefon mitgeteilt, dass alles richtig sei und gleich alles geliefert werden sollte. Eine weitere 3/4 Std später, kontaktierten wir den Lieferservice. Das Restaurant teilte uns telefonisch schließlich mit, dass sie sich in der Adresse doch vertan hatten, und uns wurde aufgrund dieses Fehlers die Erstattung des Betrags zugesichert. Nach über 2 Std kam das Essen kalt bei uns an, geschmacklich leider deswegen nur mäßiges Niveau und die Rechnung wurde - anders als mehrfach am Telefon versprochen - nie storniert. Die Qualität des Essens und der Service waren demnach ernüchternd, so dass wir es bei einem einzigartigen Erlebnis belassen wollen. Wenn man gutes Essen mit gutem, freundlichen Service sucht, dann sollte man lieber ein anderes Restaurant wählen.

Haben indische gerichte plus raita jogurt bestellt. Einer der jogurts hat nach hefe und verdorben geschmeckt. Mir wurde eine Rückerstattung zugesichert jedoch ist es dazu nie gekommen. Fühle mich abgezockt. Danke dafür Edit wegen antwort: Es war 2 mal der gleiche raita. Nach hefe schmeckt sowas normaler w3ise nicht und nur der eine jogurt schmeckte danach. Angerufen hatte ich ja schon... Was soll ich denn noch machen? Mir wurde beim Telefonat ja schon zugesichert dass ich das rückerstattet bekomme aber niemand hat reagiert.

The biryani hit with perfectly spiced layers of rice and tender chicken, while the tikka masala brought that buttery depth of flavor. Warm, fluffy naan sealed the experience beautifully. Every bite felt carefully crafted and was really amazing experience. Thank you so much for this wonderful food and service.

Test very good service are nice I like it here

We ate there a few days ago, and the server was very friendly but understood very little German. We ordered what we saw on other guests' tables because we simply couldn't get any information about the food. Our first impression upon entering was the strong smell of something burning coming from the kitchen (there was no ventilation), the second was the carpet, and finally, the toilets. The price was okay, and we ate, but we don't know what we ate. No, we won't be coming back.

We were here today with friends, the food was delicious, perfectly seasoned, and the price was right. The owner is incredibly nice and friendly. We'll definitely be back!

A lovely Indian restaurant with good service! I recommend it!

We ordered two meals. Twenty minutes after the promised delivery time, I called to ask when the food would arrive. They said it would be in three minutes. It arrived another 20 minutes later. It was lukewarm.

First time ordering from there. That was the last time. Taste-wise, it barely deserves a 2 (out of 5). The rice smelled and tasted musty. Far too sweet and lacking in spices. Way too expensive for what it was.

If you want to eat amazing Indian food at a great price, this is the place to go. Delicious food, very friendly service, and the prices are really reasonable (6 people including drinks, main course, and a shared appetizer, about €145).

Beautiful place, the waiters are super nice, and I'd love to go here more often, but you have to be aware that the portions are very filling. It's simply amazing here.

We had only ordered three dishes for lunch – hardly a masterpiece of organization for a restaurant. Half an hour over the stated delivery time, we called. We were told that the food hadn't even started being prepared. They then promised us delivery in 20 minutes – 50 minutes after the originally announced time, mind you. Of course, this promise wasn't kept either. Instead, we waited another 40 minutes until, after a total of one and a half hours, we finally had to cancel the order. An apology or any kind of concession? None. The call was simply ended mid-conversation. I've never encountered such disastrous service before. I would not recommend this restaurant in any way.

Not recommended. High prices, low quality. The rice bowl wasn't even completely full. A lot of sauces, some of which were indefinable and unappealing, and very little meat. Only the raita and the naan bread were recommendable. We will never order from there again.

Today is our second time here to enjoy the finest, authentic Indian cuisine. The elaborate and lovingly designed ambiance transports you away from everyday life to India. The hosts are warm and very attentive. Our entire family will definitely recommend this place.

We've ordered from there several times via Lieferando and found the food delicious. Last time, we ordered through the restaurant's website, and without any notification, the food never arrived. We received an order confirmation via email, but the restaurant was unavailable by phone or email, and the food never arrived. Therefore, I would strongly advise against ordering through the restaurant's website.

The lamb pieces in the mango sauce were manageable, very economical, lamb 45 was not medium as ordered. The lamb was tough, or the knife didn't cut... Card payment not possible, cash only. The staff was very friendly.

We have dinner for our aunt's birthday on December 17th for delivery on December 20th. ordered home. There was an order confirmation in which the delivery date was December 20th. was confirmed at 6:00 p.m. But it was delivered on December 17th. around 8:30 p.m. So the birthday dinner was a failure. Furthermore, the hot food and the ice cream that we had ordered for dessert were delivered in the same box, which meant that the ice cream was no longer eaten because it had melted. At Ashokahouse on Peterhofstrasse we have received no response several times after asking for a statement and informing us why the delivery was made on the wrong day despite an order confirmation. We have been very happy with Ashokahouse, the one in the city center, but will avoid this Indian restaurant in the future.

Am 17.12. haben wir für unsere Tante ein Abendessen als Geburtstagsüberraschung bestellt, das am 20.12. um 18:00 Uhr geliefert werden sollte. Die Bestellung wurde bestätigt, einschließlich des gewünschten Liefertermins. Leider wurde das Essen jedoch bereits am 17.12. gegen 20:30 Uhr geliefert – drei Tage zu früh. Dadurch war das geplante Geburtstagsessen hinfällig. Zusätzlich wurden das warme Essen und das bestellte Eis in derselben Box transportiert, wodurch das Eis vollständig geschmolzen und ungenießbar war. Trotz mehrfacher Versuche, beim Ashokahouse in der Peterhofstraße eine Erklärung für die falsche Lieferung zu erhalten, haben wir keine Rückmeldung erhalten. Bisher waren wir mit dem Ashokahouse in der Innenstadt immer sehr zufrieden, doch nach dieser Erfahrung werden wir das Restaurant in Zukunft meiden.

Awful experience. Order arrived 30 minutes late (I waited over 90 minutes in total!), and the delivery person claimed he couldn't find my house and couldn't get to it because of 'chaos' (at least that's what I understood over the phone, I could not make out what he was saying properly). Shocker, there was absolutely no real reason he couldn't reach my house. So I had to go out in the winter cold to pick up the food, which arrived messy and crushed inside the bag, and was cold and didn't taste good. Horrible! Never again.

I visited the restaurant with my family and friends on a Sunday evening after seeing many positive reviews hoping for a great meal. We arrived early so the place wasn't crowded and had the benefit of free parking at the hotel. The service was excellent—attentive and friendly, making us feel immediately welcome. I was also impressed by the hygiene standards, which is always a plus. Unfortunately the quality of the food was disappointing. Most of the dishes had a similar taste and lacked the clear flavors I was expecting. The palak paneer, for example, had an unnatural green color, indicating the use of artificial colors rather than fresh ingredients. Furthermore, the restaurant did not accept credit cards and did not issue a receipt. Due to the stark contrast between the excellent service and the mediocre food, I decided to give it a rating of 3 out of 5. This is an average rating that reflects the appreciated service and the subpar food.

It's just sad what we were served here. We had to wait over an hour for our food, which tasted like cardboard and wood. My friend has Indian roots and was just sad about this cuisine. Although the boss only asked for half the price, no one can give us these 3 hours of golden time back. Too bad, too bad.

I have been ordering from here from years but I have been disappointed with my latest order. I ordered an indian mango lassi from lieferando but instead received only a sad tetrapak with mango juice. When I tried to correct the order, both the delivery driver and the person in the restaurant didn't believe it even though I had a screenshot to prove it and showed it to them. Their tone and service was so horrible even when I was showing that I had ordered the correct item, just telling me it was not their problem. I ended up receiving a refund but the experience was so bad when I just wanted a relaxing dinner that I doubt I will order here again.

Danger! Vouchers are only accepted for exactly 12 months, after which there is no response or suggestions on how to come to an agreement. There is no response to email either, which is a shame. Probably not interested in acquiring new customers. So I can't say anything about the food, which I definitely won't test here. Fortunately, there are still enough restaurateurs who also value customer service.

The music was way too loud at the beginning and the bass was turned up like it was in a club. This changed little by little and you could eat your food in peace. Food was OK. Paying only in cash doesn't mean anything good for me... I didn't have enough money with me and had to withdraw extra money.

The restaurant is nice with indian vibes and older hindi music playing. Tables are well set with candles and red cloths. I went in for dinner and the place filled after I went in. The food was normal. For some reason there was red onions/beetroot on all the dishes as garnish/decoration. The chilli chicken was nice and big chunks and the sauce was abit salty but still pretty good. The Mutton Kashmir Biryani had a more herb-y taste than spices. There was no egg and papadam given. Raita was given. The Mutton was small portioning compared to the rice. I also ordered Palak Paneer. I didn't know that the paneer came with another rice. So I had too much food to eat haha. (Packed it back) The Palak Paneer was good. Paneer was soft chewy and the palak was well seasoned. Mango lassi was pretty good! But really sweet so take note if youre not a sweet tooth person. Gulab Jamun was nice and it was hot. Service was mainly one person but he was pretty fast about it. And could handle the people quickly.

Very nicely decorated, cozy restaurant with a friendly boss and very courteous waiters! Food is very tasty and really fresh! You can even taste all the herbs and spices! The wishes of the customers are always taken into account. You also get a little something on the house before your meal ☺️ There is a small terrace outside, but it is a bit noisy because of the busy street, so we prefer to sit inside ☺️ By far the best restaurant in Augsburg and the surrounding area ☺️

Just had food delivered from Ashokahouse Augsburg/Hochzoll for the first time. Unfortunately the vegetarian main courses were very bad. :( I had Matter Methi Malai but the curry cream sauce was very tasteless. Then I also had a tiny stone in my food. The second dish, Shahi Baingan, was a total failure. Also absolutely tasteless and completely oversweet. Did the cook confuse sugar with salt? We would have sent the food back to the restaurant. Only the starters were ok. Unfortunately, the cozy dinner was ruined.
