I have been ordering from here from years but I have been disappointed with my latest order. I ordered an indian mango lassi from lieferando but instead received only a sad tetrapak with mango juice. When I tried to correct the order, both the delivery driver and the person in the restaurant didn't believe it even though I had a screenshot to prove it and showed it to them. Their tone and service was so horrible even when I was showing that I had ordered the correct item, just telling me it was not their problem. I ended up receiving a refund but the experience was so bad when I just wanted a relaxing dinner that I doubt I will order here again.

Excellent food and excellent service. Really reminds of Indian restaurants because that taste resembles perfectly. The staff and especially the owner is very friendly and helpful.

Danger! Vouchers are only accepted for exactly 12 months, after which there is no response or suggestions on how to come to an agreement. There is no response to email either, which is a shame. Probably not interested in acquiring new customers. So I can't say anything about the food, which I definitely won't test here. Fortunately, there are still enough restaurateurs who also value customer service.

When I called and asked whether the food was helal and whether they had a certificate, I was insulted and told that I should go to the Turkish restaurant instead...

The music was way too loud at the beginning and the bass was turned up like it was in a club. This changed little by little and you could eat your food in peace. Food was OK. Paying only in cash doesn't mean anything good for me... I didn't have enough money with me and had to withdraw extra money.

The restaurant is nice with indian vibes and older hindi music playing. Tables are well set with candles and red cloths. I went in for dinner and the place filled after I went in. The food was normal. For some reason there was red onions/beetroot on all the dishes as garnish/decoration. The chilli chicken was nice and big chunks and the sauce was abit salty but still pretty good. The Mutton Kashmir Biryani had a more herb-y taste than spices. There was no egg and papadam given. Raita was given. The Mutton was small portioning compared to the rice. I also ordered Palak Paneer. I didn't know that the paneer came with another rice. So I had too much food to eat haha. (Packed it back) The Palak Paneer was good. Paneer was soft chewy and the palak was well seasoned. Mango lassi was pretty good! But really sweet so take note if youre not a sweet tooth person. Gulab Jamun was nice and it was hot. Service was mainly one person but he was pretty fast about it. And could handle the people quickly.

I'm so disappointed 🥺 I've always enjoyed staying at Ashokahouse and today I had the worst service imaginable. Unfortunately our order came way too late, but the worst thing was that the driver (who is also supposedly the owner) didn't apologize once. I'm never coming back

Very nicely decorated, cozy restaurant with a friendly boss and very courteous waiters! Food is very tasty and really fresh! You can even taste all the herbs and spices! The wishes of the customers are always taken into account. You also get a little something on the house before your meal ☺️ There is a small terrace outside, but it is a bit noisy because of the busy street, so we prefer to sit inside ☺️ By far the best restaurant in Augsburg and the surrounding area ☺️

Unfortunately I found a Karla Lake in the sauce. I've always been satisfied so far, but this ruins my appetite forever. Addendum. That's not cardamon and it wasn't in the rice but in the sauce. I have uploaded a photo.

Just had food delivered from Ashokahouse Augsburg/Hochzoll for the first time. Unfortunately the vegetarian main courses were very bad. :( I had Matter Methi Malai but the curry cream sauce was very tasteless. Then I also had a tiny stone in my food. The second dish, Shahi Baingan, was a total failure. Also absolutely tasteless and completely oversweet. Did the cook confuse sugar with salt? We would have sent the food back to the restaurant. Only the starters were ok. Unfortunately, the cozy dinner was ruined.

So the good reviews really surprise me!!!! We were just there because we live nearby and wanted to try it out. The food was just bad (I've been to India and can judge that). This has nothing to do with Indian food. We had a Thaly with different types of meat and had to guess the types of meat, it was also extremely fatty. Card payment not possible, invoice receipt not available. The waitress came to the table and simply stated an amount - As a simple, normal taxpayer you shouldn't go here, it's not fair. The background music has nothing to do with India either.

It was my first time there and this will be the last time! I was so looking forward to a delicious, fresh Indian meal, unfortunately some of the food was cold and very watery and there was a lack of spices. The food there doesn't taste good at all! I don't recommend this restaurant because there are much better Indian restaurants in Augburg that are far better in terms of taste, ambience and service than the Ashokahouse. You could also work on the cleanliness!!!!! Actually that should be a requirement!!!!! Never again!!!!!

I just passed this "restaurant" I wanted to drive past a van that was parked in the bike path. I was attacked by the staff and owner, and after a scuffle I drove on, I don't think I'll be a customer there, and I had just returned from India and wanted to try it, whether their menu is similar to the original

A great restaurant, with really great food and super, super friendly staff. I would even say the friendliest staff I have ever met. The food is really amazing, whether chicken or lamb and portions that definitely fill you up. It may seem strange to give 5 stars everywhere, but giving "only" 4 stars somewhere just because of that wouldn't do the restaurant justice. Definitely worth a visit (if not several).

We have been regular guests with the whole family for years. Extremely child-friendly, family-friendly, delicious food. The service is sometimes extremely relaxed, but hey - that's just part of eating Indian food for me.

Very tasty, every dish was really beautifully presented in the delivery boxes. The delivery took quite a long time, but the joy of the loving arrangement of the food was even greater. We will order here again. Price/performance = top!

After we enjoyed the food on our first visit, we visited the restaurant again. The food was of the usual quality......But the place was NOT heated and was very cold. The window in the toilet was open and the door to the restaurant could not be closed. A small electric heater was brought to me, but it didn't help much with my ice-cold feet.

This restaurant has served delicious dishes on several occasions, but the quality is inconsistent. The food tasted different than I expected, especially considering I ordered the same food the week before and the week after. It was radically different. It wasn't like the food was the same. It had a completely different taste. Also, the delivery is really late even after I placed two different orders six months apart. Waiting times should be at least twice as long as the estimated delivery time. On my first order, delivery was delayed by almost three times the expected delivery time. For my second order, the location was barely five minutes from the restaurant, so I had to wait almost two and a half times as long as the delivery times stated.

Nice little restaurant in Hochzoll. Unfortunately we didn't like the food. Very watery and not very spicy, as we actually know from India. I had vegetables in mango sauce that was just sweet and no flavor at all. Service was okay, if you overlook the fact that my reservation wasn't in the calendar and the appetizer plates were taken away while we were still eating. Unfortunately it was the first and last time we ate there.

We were there for the first time and sat in the winter garden where the sun was shining. I didn't like the view of the street intersection and the outside area. Because I always saw the back of the billboard packaging half torn off. The staff was very friendly, the food was tasty, even if our different dishes were visually indistinguishable. There was too much vegetable decoration on top for my taste.

Ordered at 4:45pm for 6:15pm. Order was also confirmed and FoodTracker indicated the order was on the way. At 7:00 p.m. (!!) I received a message from Lieferando that the order from AshokaHouse had been canceled. Without giving reasons. We used to order there often and happily, but that was the last time. Looking at the reviews, the restaurant seems to have a massive problem with their delivery service.

Great food, super friendly service

The food has always tasted really great. It's all the more disappointing that the delivery simply doesn't work. It said 60 minutes, but we've actually been waiting 120 minutes and there's no food anywhere. Although I was assured by phone 30 minutes ago that the driver was already on his way to us. Unfortunately, this is now the 3rd time this has happened.

Ordered at 6:49 p.m. announced for 7:48 p.m.... called at 8:10 p.m., heard stupid excuses. Food is made, driver is on the way. 8:50 p.m. called again, heard stupid excuses again. Order checked, order never arrived despite order confirmation, stupid excuses heard again. Excuse me? I ordered something to eat and didn't ask the hotline for a flat rate for stupid excuses... 2.5 hours after ordering, hungry and not eating. Thanks for stupid excuses, ashouse no thanks.

Great restaurant! I had a very short lunch break on New Year's Day. Ashokahouse was the only restaurant that was open. The service was incredibly quick and friendly. The prices are fair and the food is very good. Thank you and see you soon :)

Ich habe eine WhatsApp Scam Nachricht von einem Vijay erhalten, welche mich mit einem Namen angesprochen hat, den ich nur hier für eine Lieferando Bestellung verwendet habe

Das vegetarische Thali dort ist seit Jahren mein Lieblingsgericht. 🥰 Wir sind jedes Jahr einige Male zum Essen da, weil ich finde, dass dies das beste indische Restaurant in Augsburg ist. Unser traditionelles Weihnachtsessen am 2. Feiertag halten wir beispielsweise immer dort ab. 😉 Jedes Mal hatten wir einen top Service und stets leckere, qualitativ hochwertige und frische Gerichte gehabt, welche sehr hübsch angerichtet waren. Preis-Leistung ist sehr fair, denn die Gerichte sind groß und die Getränke günstig. Der Inhaber ist sehr nett und zuvorkommend. Nach dem Umzug an den neuen Standort liegt das Restaurant zwar nicht mehr so zentral aber es lohnt sich definitiv etwas rauszufahren. Eine Tramhaltestelle ist direkt vor der Tür und Parkplätze gibt es genügend in der Seitenstraße.

Lieferservice ist die reinste Katastrophe 3 mal bestellt 3 mal über 1.5 std gewartet für ein einziges Gericht nicht empfehlenswert !

Der Service war auch gut. Das Essen war sehr gut. Ich werde wieder hin gehen. Man kann es gut empfehlen hin zu gehen.

Leider ist durch die Schließung der Hauptfiliale die Qualität massiv runter gegangen. Chicken Korma war mein absoluter Favorit, jetzt schmeckt es nur noch wässrig :( Lieferung war schon fast kalt.

Der äußere Eindruck des Lokales hat mich leider längere Zeit davon abgehalten hier essen zu gehen. Leider, weil sowohl das Ambiente sehr angenehm gestaltet ist und auch das Essen sehr lecker. Bevor hier das Ashoka-House eröffnet wurde waren leider keine vernünftigen Lokale in diesem Haus, was wohl viele „Ortsansässige“ gar nicht auf die Idee bringt, dass man hier gut essen kann. Wer indische Küche mag findet also in Hochzoll einen neuen Anlaufpunkt wo man zudem auch noch überaus freundlich bedient wird. Ich werde sicherlich bald öfter hier essen und werde berichten.

Ob das bestellte Essen gut gewesen wäre, kann ich nicht beurteilen, da die Bestellung 10 Minuten vor der zugesagten Lieferung storniert wurde. "... noch 30 Minuten ... noch 16 Minuten.... storniert". Es war ein Geburtstagsessen... nein, wäre es gewesen.

Habe dort über Lieferando bestellt. 1 h länger Wartezeit. Essen ist angekommen und war komplett kalt und labbrig. Habe Mango chicken bestellt und das Huhn war innen drin noch teils roh. Der Preis für sowas wirklich nicht in Ordnung!

Habe mir essen zum Liefern bestellt.Obwohl die Lieferung sehr lange gedauert hat,war das Essen noch richtig warm.Super verpackt mit aufgeschweisstem Aludeckel,da läuft nichts raus.Sehr großzügige Portionen und geschmacklich unglaublich lecker.Werde öfters hier bestellen wenn ich in der Gegend bin👍🏼

Das indische Restaurant Ashoka House ist ein wahrer Genuss! Die Gerichte sind authentisch und geschmacklich herausragend. Der Inhaber verleiht dem Erlebnis eine persönliche Note mit seiner unterhaltsamen Art. Die Vielfalt der Speisekarte und die herzliche Atmosphäre machen diesen Ort zu einem Must-Visit für Liebhaber indischer Küche. Absolut empfehlenswert!

Haben heute um 17:45 bestellt. Als wir um 18:50 angerufen haben wurde uns mit geteilt dass die Bestellung schon fertig ist es allerdings ein bestellter Gericht gerade nicht gibt. Dass essen sollte in 20-30 Minuten da sein. Um 20:25 stand der Lieferant dann mit dem Essen vor der Tür. Zu diesem Zeitpunkt haben wir dann schon ein paar Brote gegessen und die Kinder waren im Bett. Wenn uns beim Telefonat ehrlicherweise mitgeteilt worden wäre dass bei der Bestellung etwas schief gelaufen ist und es noch eine Stunde dauert hätten wir zwar für diesen Abend die Bestellung storniert, aber bestimmt nochmals dort bestellt. So leider nie wieder. Einen Tipp an den Chef: Ehrlichkeit währt am längsten.

Sehr leckerer Mango Lassi, super leckeres Naan Brot, das Hühnerfleisch aus dem Tandoori is super zart, alles in allem absolut nichts negatives im Aahokahouse, sehr freundliches Personal und Preis / Leistung ist auch fair. Daher fünf Sterne 👍🏼

Haben bestellt, von der Lieferzeit her in Ordnung. Die Hälfte wurde nicht mit geliefert, das was angekommen ist war kaum genießbar, ein Gericht war sehr versalzen, die anderen beiden haben nach nichts geschmeckt. Als dann auch noch ein Haar im Essen aufgetaucht ist haben wir alles weg geschmissen und sind zu KFC.

Es waren Haare im Essen und das einzige Gericht, dass überhaupt nach etwas geschmeckt hat war versalzen!

Bestellen jetzt scho öfters hier: Essen ist lecker aber einfach kalt angekommen. Über eine Stunde länger gebraucht als in der App angegeben. Einmal sogar über zwei Stunden zu spät. Haben mehrfach beim Restaurant angerufen und mehrfach falsche Antworten erhalten. Es sei in 10 min da, der Lieferant müsste bald da sein… Allgemein nicht zu empfehlen zum liefern.

Super nette Leute, Essen war seeeehr lecker und preislich auch völlig in Ordnung. Und Vorspeise gab's auch noch umsonst.

Wir warten seit über 90 min auf das bestellte Essen. Wurden jetzt schon zweimal vertröstet: angeblich ist die Lieferung gleich da. Bis jetzt ist nichts eingetroffen. Bestellung wurde um 18.10 Uhr aufgegeben, es hieß 45-60 min. Wir warten nun seit 95 min.

Waren hier zu zweit zum Abendessen und hatten uns auf einen schönen Abend gefreut, leider war das Essen ziemlich enttäuschend, alles schmeckte fade und war nicht die erhoffte indische Aromenexplosion. Aber das schlimmste war der unfreundliche, ja fast unverschämte Service, wir fühlten uns nicht willkommen und würden hier keinesfalls nochmals hingehen

Wichtig: Keine Kartenzahlung möglich! Sorry, wir leben in 2023! Da brauche und will ich eigentlich kein Bargeld mitführen. Für den Preis stimmt die Leistung. Eher einfach und ungezwungen. Aber eine Heschmacksexplosion wie häufig beim Inder gab es nicht. Hatte Chicken Jalfrezi.. war nicht schlecht aber auch nicht mehr, die vegetarische Vorspeise war deutlich besser. Solide und preiswert. Wartezeit einplanen.

War mit dem Ashoka House 2 bzgl. Essen eigentlich zufrieden. Seit kurzem ist eine Bestellung für Selbstabholer Online nicht mehr möglich. Wenn ich mir ein Mittagsmenu liefern lassen möchte, heißt es der Mindestbestellwert wurde nicht erreicht. Wohne eigentlich um die Ecke. Wollte eine Mail an die Emailadresse auf der Homepage senden, als Antwort kam, die Emailadresse existiert nicht. Hatte einmal in der Vergangenheit bestellt und die Lieferung nicht erhalten. Wollte seit langem eine Chance geben, bei Abholung gibt es einen Mindestbestellwert. Somit eine andere Alternative gesucht Ergebnis nun, ich werde nicht mehr bestellen, können sich das wohl leisten.

Leckeres essen, die Terrasse könnte bisschen sauberer sein.

I have ordered multiple times from here and food was good but not this time. Very average taste and delivery time sucks. Ordered at 7:58 pm and the food was delivered at 9:15 pm. More than 1 hour for delivery. Really disappointing. I guess they changed the location of restaurant, may be the chef as well.

Leckeres Essen und auch vernünftige Preise. Ambiente drinnen schön, draußen leider an der Straße nicht so toll. Es gibt eine Klasse Auswahl an vegetarischen und veganen Gerichten. Auch die Bedienungen waren sehr freundlich! Einziges Manko ist, dass man nur mit Karte zahlen kann. Ansonsten ein toller Inder mit viel Auswahl!

Essen wurde um 17 h für 18 h bestellt. 1 Stunde Zeit zum Kochen und Liefern (15 Minuten Anfahrtszeit). Lieferung erfolge erst nach mehreren Anrufen um 18.45 h. Sehr schlechter Service!!!!!!! Wir hatten Gäste und mussten 45 h auf das Essen warte. Nie wieder!!!!!

The food was a preset course as it was a work function, there were delicious starters and cute cocktails, i took some of their mocktails which all had tasty flavours and fancy look.

We ordered loads of food and drinks. The starters were amazing and their mocktails were also great.
