Nice hotel in a good location. Our room was very spacious and very clean. Coffee/tea preparation was also available. The fact that the sink is in the room is something we also know from other hotels and didn't bother us at all. We skipped breakfast because it cost us 23 euros per person. do not appear justified. The parking spaces in the (public) underground car park are very narrow and you have to be extremely careful when pulling out of a parking space because the entrance and exit are the same and you have to turn the vehicle around. Otherwise the hotel is definitely recommended

Staff doesn’t really care about the customers . Great location , decent sized rooms , but that’s basically it ! If you are looking for a good service and to get what you were promised , this isn’t the place !

Quality-price non-existent! Almost €200 for one night for an unkept room. Torn curtains, rust in the bathroom, dirty shower cubicle, broken toilet paper holder. For €200 a night I expected more! More attention should be paid to small details.

The rooms are clean, the beds are very comfortable. We asked for an extra duvet and it arrived immediately. The price fits the budget very well. The staff is caring. When I come to Cologne again, I will come to this hotel again without hesitation. Just ask for a taxi via UBER. Don't leave that job to the reception!!! Even though I only wanted a Taxi, the Limo came. :( I came back after months and stayed for 1 week. It's a wonderful hotel, I admired its cleanliness. The staff is always friendly. The reception is helpful. I had no problem ordering a taxi from the hotel. I went to the airport by normal taxi from outside. Price performance is perfect. Thank you art'otel.

Positives: Modern, clean, up to date hotel. Good staff, good breakfast, rooms clean and bathrooms are not grimey. Aircon works excellent. Theres a small gym with 2 treadmills, some weights, a bench and a multi exercise cable machine. Theres also a sauna and a rooftop terrace you can take your drinks to. Theres a bar near reception and also a self serve mini bar next to reception for hours when the main bar is closed. Underground parking is only €6 per day. Area’s for improvement: more sockets in the rooms, mount the blackout curtains closer to the window so they are effective, have more staff tend the bar and reception, speed up the elevators!

A good location to stay at to be able to access most central destinations with public transport. Clean rooms and nice sound proofing. I have already stayed at this hotel twice and it is my go to when coming to Cologne. The staff was helpful in facilitating a room change.

Quite a strange hotel. Enjoy with caution! There's stealing here! On July 6th, 2024 my parents checked in here to celebrate our wedding in the Rheinauhafen in pe303. After the registry office, my parents, who came from further away, wanted to get the gifts from themselves and their neighbors from their room. Within 3 hours, all gifts that had emotional and financial value were stolen from the room. But the hotel didn't really care about this; no effort was made to use the surveillance cameras and/or the electronic door locks to determine who had entered the room during this period. Ultimately, the police are now investigating. So someone from the hotel entered the room and stole gifts, especially envelopes with money. So far there has been no attempt to apologize or actively try to do anything.

Good hotel, located close to the River and some tourist attractions (Ferris Wheel and Chocolate Factory) Good sized rooms and good views of the River. Great place to stay in Koln

It's an okay hotel close to everything. We stayed in a room with two single beds, and the sleep quality was decent. The only annoying thing was that there was only one power outlet by one of the nightstands, and no USB inputs. Also, one of the windows had colored glass, which seemed a bit old-fashioned (like from 2010) but that's just a preference. The showerhead can't be adjusted, so if you're tall, it's a bit tricky to wash your hair, which was a bit frustrating. It would also be nice if the staff explained what the city tax is and why we have to pay it when we ask about it.

Yes it's the centre of Cologne. But that's where the positives end. There is very limited parking onsite. It wasn't available the whole time we were there. You can park in off-site carparks that are under bridges or in parks at your own risk. There is no pram/wheelchair access so be prepared to carry them up concrete steps to the entrance. The rooms are very odd! A desk at the end of your bed with loose wires hanging around isn't very safe. It also blocks the view of the TV when watching it in bed. The bathroom light is shared with the bedroom inside some wall art so if you go to the toilet in the middle of the night it brightens the whole place up. Worst of all the mattresses had blood stains on them. I don't recommend this hotel at all. For £200 a night there are much cleaner and nicer places to stay.

I had 2 days in a conference at the hotel and also spend those 2 days there. My room had a nice view to the river and was also very comfortable/big. Everyone was super nice and the food was delightful. There is also a terrace with an amazing view. The hotel is also close to the main station and the Cathedral.

Pros: Nice location. Good breakfast. Friendly service. Cons: Wash basin inside the room. Major turn off. You cannot use the washroom in the night without disturbing others.

First the positive aspects: The hotel is modern and bright. The rooms as such are quite large. The view over the Rhine is beautiful, although not unobstructed. You can see the old customs port and the chocolate museum. The location is great. You can get to the Heumarkt in 5 minutes and it's a leisurely 15-minute walk along the Rhine to the cathedral. A bus stops in front of the door and takes you comfortably to the main train station. The breakfast is excellent and checkout is relaxed until 12 p.m. Unfortunately, there are also a few less nice aspects. The air conditioning is very loud. The room with shower (very large and at ground level) and toilet has no ventilation. Moisture and odors go straight into the room. And the “best” for last. The hand basin is in the room. This takes a lot of getting used to. Okay for a stay with family, but with friends? It was okay for us for two nights. It's a shame, once again it has been shown that art and practicality do not harmonize.

For the great breakfast buffet 5 ⭐️ There was a huge selection, everything was super tasty and fresh and everything was refilled regularly. The staff was also super attentive and the times at which breakfast takes place are very flexible. I just didn't think the hall was that nice. It was pretty crowded and loud there. Still 5 stars for it. The rooms were fine. A nice shower, but I was irritated that we couldn't lock the bathroom and that the sink was in the main room. Also, some TV programs didn't work. That wasn't dramatic, but it was a shame if you wanted to relax a bit in the evening after a long day. Overall, I found the service to be attentive and friendly. When we checked in, however, there were 6 people at the counter and we had to wait for almost three quarters of an hour because everyone was busy with a group. Other people were waiting too. That was really annoying because we almost missed our follow-up event. Overall, I would like to come back again. The location by the river is also really nice and the buffet is brilliant!

Extremely disappointing: I was extremely disappointed with my stay at the art'otel in Cologne. Despite multiple queries, the invoice including the reimbursement of costs by my employer was not stored correctly. Instead, my credit card was charged, even though I had asked about this several times and even received written confirmation via email in advance. The room was also very noisy due to the noise from the road, even though the website promised a "quiet room". It wasn't clean either and some areas needed repairs. I also booked the “ecoFree” program to avoid unnecessary room cleaning. Despite this booking, my room was cleaned daily, which was not what I wanted and I had made it clear to reception. I ended up receiving an incorrect bill when checking out. When I pointed this out, the employee reacted unfriendly and unhelpful. Given the high room prices of over EUR 200 per night, this service is unacceptable. Unfortunately I cannot recommend the art'otel in Cologne. Update May 23, 2024: Dear art'otel Cologne team, thank you for your feedback. However, please stick to the truth. What is not correct is the statement "...our team listed your overnight stay at reception when you checked out and asked if your credit card could be charged and you agreed." - because exactly here I had once again shown that it was already noted in my booking confirmation that my company would cover the costs. Her employee said it was too late, she had already charged my card. If you write "...not all information was stored in your reservation..." then this is also your issue, because if you book via BookingCom or the CRC Hotelservice portal, then the interfaces should work for you. However, everything was correct in my booking confirmation email and I showed this at check-in, whereupon her employee wanted to check this, but to no avail. Your statement is also not correct: "...as far as the repayment is concerned, we asked you to give us the data in order to repay the money. You told us that you would submit the data to us...". This is the first time I've read this statement from you. Besides, this wouldn't make any sense because you would have had the data since you charged the invoice directly. You could have returned it or canceled it straight away. So a wrong statement, then you write: "...the Eco program was taken into account in your invoice..." - This is correct, but the room was still cleaned. So Eco was promised, but then not carried out at all.

We went there for the first time as a couple in 2009. Years later, we still enjoy coming, either alone or with our kids. The employees are great, first class service & special requests are fulfilled. The breakfast leaves nothing to be desired. The bar in the evening is really perfect to end the evening, very tasty cocktails. This hotel is our first address when we go to Cologne.

It’s not quite place, the doors keeps clamping every minute. You can’t sleep at this hotel

Parking was problematic - had to park on the Maritim. But we knew that it could be tight. There was a long wait at reception, but then an employee took pity and opened another service point. What really bothered us was a loud humming noise in the room that we unfortunately couldn't locate. Top breakfast, attentive service, very friendly chefs.

Pleasant hotel, you can quickly get to the Heumarkt, cathedral etc. Very good! But … Problem no or hardly any underground parking spaces/parking spaces and therefore huge stress on arrival to get the car... we don't need it anymore 🤷‍♀️

The hotel is very central. Service and breakfast very good! Rooms are clean and large. Whether you have to have the sink in the room rather than in the bathroom is a matter of taste... Underground parking space is not that cheap at €25 per day. It would be nice if hotel guests had to pay half.

If you have alternatives, you should use them... We (2 people) went to the REWE Final 4 and were only able to book at very short notice. The room was quietly located at the end of the hallway. You couldn't hear any street noise. The room was clean. What wasn't right at all was the breakfast. There was plenty on offer, there was nothing to complain about. But the fact that you didn't get a seat in the dining room is absurd! Nobody from the visibly overwhelmed staff was interested. After all, we're talking about a proud breakfast price of €23 per person! Guests sat in the lobby with their plates on their knees. Even when a table became available, no one came to clear and clean it. When someone found himself, he spread the remains of our predecessors on the floor so that we could then step in them. The parking situation is also difficult. €25 for a place per day under the bridge is steep. There was no receipt for this! "Cheap" room prices are one thing, but you obviously compensate for that with the "additional costs"... It's a shame that you don't do anything with the great location.

We got a very warm welcome by the hotel. We got early check too. The location of the hotel was superb, very close to Lindt chocolate factory. You can take a nice long walk along the canal. It was such a peaceful stay for us and we really enjoyed our time here. The hospitality, service, food, location everything was good.

Booked with concert tickets through Travelcircus, we were prepared for everything, and then were very pleasantly surprised! Staff very friendly, rooms very clean and functional, not too cramped, and a breakfast that leaves nothing to be desired.

Nice breakfast and pleasant location right on the Rhine. The bathroom and shower could do with a renovation. Windows facing the Rhine can be opened. Underground parking and parking spaces are rather scarce and, at €25, quite expensive even for Cologne!

I really enjoyed my stay during the fair. Both the spacious and clean rooms and the view overlooking the river were truly beautiful.

Judging from the estimated price at the tour designated hotel, it was a hotel with very good service. The location is good, within walking distance to the old town, and although I couldn't go due to time constraints, it's right in front of the Chocolate Museum. The breakfast was also delicious, and I was very impressed to be able to eat so many vegetables for the first time in a while, as I rarely find continental restaurants that serve vegetables. Kaiser roll was also very delicious. The room was spacious and even had slippers and bathrobes. The only regret was that it didn't have a hot tub. Since it was a tour, I don't know if there was a room with a bathtub in the first place.

Wir haben haben zwei Zimmer gebucht und sind einfach nur maßlos enttäuscht. Die Zimmer waren komplett dreckig und die Toilette war das Highlight, eine reinste Katastrophe. Wir kommen nie wieder in dieses Hotel! Sowas habe ich noch nie gesehen, haben uns mit Leuten aus dem Hotel unterhalten und bei denen war es genauso! Wenn ich könnte würde ich nichtmal 1 Stern geben!

Ich hatte ein Zimmer zur Museums Insel = schön. Der Kollege zur Tankstelle ⛽️. Das Buffet war ständig leer nur die Warteschlange nicht. Also gemischt.

Huge selection of food on the breakfast! (Was not included in the reservation) Perfect atmosphere and very fast internet connection. Big bar in the lobby. Very close to the center of the town. Parking was extra and was not included in the reservation. Overall, it was a very good hotel for my vocation. Gas station was exactly across the hotel, another huge plus.

Tables tightly squashed into dining room. Breakfast staff surly and unhelpful. Bedroom was good size, but needed work. Window seals were broken and let in noise and cold wind. A previous occupant had tried to block with toilet paper. Suggests room never properly checked or cleaned? Not acceptable to have windows blocked with toilet roll. Light hanging off ceiling. Biggest disappointment. Stayed 3 nights. We like a drink in the hotel bar before retiring for the night. 2 out of 3 nights - bar closed for private parties. NOT GOOD ENOUGH. Residents that are promised a 24 hour bar, should get one. Stayed in many Radisson Hotels. This acquisition is well below the standard we expected. Needs work on fabric of hotel. Staff need training on service. Food and beverage offer needs improving. Come on, Radisson! You're better than this.

Mooie kamer, wastafel in de kamer -dat is een beetje jammer-. Vriendelijke medewerkers. Wel heel erg druk met veel kleine kinderen in de laatste week van december. Bij ontbijt en in de bar dus niet bepaald rustig.

Excellent location and lovely view from our bedroom. I found it really cool that you could stand above the Rhine and look towards the Christmas Market. Definitely a highlight of our vacation. Staff is really friendly and helpful too. The only two things that could have been better was breakfast as the bread rolls/croissants and pain au chocolate were really hard by 08:45/09:00. Think it’s a shame as I did enjoy having breakfast next to the Rhine. And the room was way too warm 🥵 We left the window open all night but still couldn’t sleep properly.

Bellissimo hotel, tutto bianco, tutto nuovo, con una cabina doccia enorme. Pulito e con un ottimo rapporto con il costo. L'unica cosa per me incomprensibile, è la mancanza del bidet....🤯

War beruflich hier. Hatte ein Zimmer mit Aussicht auf Rhein und schokomuseum, Der Kollege auf die Tankstelle. So weit gut aber das Restaurant war mit dem Buffet maßlos überfordert. Ständig war alles leer und die Kollegen warteten mit ihren Tellern auf nachschub.

Das Hote ist direkt am Rhein das einzig gute an dem Hotel. Nachts das personal unfreundlich und leider nicht kulant! Zimmer sind kalt , kein Flair , waschbecken ist im Zimmer und nicht im Bad .

Hotel ligt op een goede locatie, centrum is te voet bereikbaar. Kamers zijn prima en ruim ( althans kamers aan rivierzijde) en bedden zijn comfortabel Ontbijt heeft ruime keuze. Hotellobby en ontbijtruimte compleet sfeerloos, nodigt niet uit om even gezellig een drankje te doen. Personeel niet bijzonder gastvrij of servicegericht. Parkeren kan niet altijd bij het hotel, wat lastig is bij aankomst.

Waren für eine Übernachtung da. Hotelzimmer war gut. Die Lage ist auch zentral. Allerdings war die Dusche miserabel. Das Wasser floss zu langsam in den Abfluss. Das komplette Bad und der halbe Flur waren unter Wasser. Ich hatte das beim Check Out auch angesprochen, war ein bekanntes Problem. Der Hotelgast neben mir, der auch am auschecken war, hatte das Problem auch. Ein Grundsätzliches Problem, dass nicht wirklich behoben wird. Daher zwei Sterne Abzug.

Das art‘otel cologne kenne ich schon seit der Eröffnung und übernachte dort hin und wieder gerne, wenn ich beruflich in Köln bin. In der Umgebung oder direkt im Hotel ergeben sich immer wieder neue Perspektiven für interessante Fotomotive. Die überragende Dachterrasse des Hotel bietet einen weiten Rundumblick und ist zur Blauen Stunde ein besonderer Ort zum Verweilen. Und in der besinnlichen Weihnachtszeit ist der nahe Weihnachtsmarkt am Schokoladenmuseum sehenswert. Danke an das freundliche Team.

I found the room in comparison with other hotels really big, equipped with a glass balcony that has a spectacular view of the river. It was clean und comfortable. The location is good but a bit far away from the old city (about 10-15 minutes away on foot). There is a small but useful gym. There is also a terrace on the top (fifth floor), but sadly without a bar (the bar is in the reception). The price was okay, but the costs for the parking was expensive and not time-adjusted (we had to pay 25€ for everyday, even though we sometimes parked less than 20 hours).

Als Konferenzhotel sehr gut gelegen

Das Artotel köln liegt direkt am Rhein und in unmittelbarer Nähe des Schokoladenmuseumsund somit zwar in der Innenstadt, aber schon etwas leicht abseits des Hauptgeschehens. Die Zimmer sind hübsch und modern, das Waschbecken, direkt im Zimmer ist vielleicht etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig. Wer ein Komfort Zimmer bucht, hat den Blick zum Rhein. Das Standard Zimmer liegt leider direkt Richtung Hauptstraße und somit ist ein öff des Fensters über Nacht quasi nicht möglich. Der Straßenlärm ist zu stark. Hierfür entsprechend auch dann einen Abzugin der Bewertung.

The ratting is because of the attitude in front office when I made checkin, because of the breakfast that is so poor with so less options and low quality, because in the room it looks like you have no privacy, you need to wash you hands, your face and your teeth in front of other, the lavatory is in the room, i don’t know who had the idea but is the worst ever. The good thing what i want to tell about the hotel is the location, you will have a very good sleep because of the pillow and mattress.

Super cooles Hotel. Direkt neben dem Schokoladenmuseum, die Altstadt ist in ca. 10min zu Fuß zu erreichen. Alles war sehr sauber. Das Bett super groß und gemütlich.

Perfektes Hotel für einen Städtetripp in Köln liegt zentral. Mitarbeiter sehr freundlich und Gastgeber durch und durch. Sehr gutes Angebot beim Frühstück saubere und geräumige Zimmer. Wir haben uns wohlgefühlt

Great location, clean bedroom, spacious bathroom and an excellent breakfast! We had some issues with parking and one employee who was very rude, but her colleagues Keller and Etienne were extremely helpful and friendly. Overall a great hotel!

Das Hotel ist ca. 1,2 km vom Dom entfernt an der Rhein. Es war sehr sauber und das Zimmer war nicht eng und klein sehr zufriedenstellend. Bucht euch aber lieber den Ausblick zum Rhein. Ist bestimmt schöner. Leider waren alle Parkplätze belegt, definitiv zu wenige Parkplätze, somit mussten wir an einer Seitenstraße parken (überall mit Parkschein) aber es war Wochenende am nächsten Tag.

Vicinissimo al centro città, si può andare anche a piedi (circa 15 minuti di camminata). Grandi camere, molto moderne e pulite. Letto favoloso, materasso e cuscini favolosi. Sono rimasto piacevolmente colpito dal bagno, molto spazioso con una doccia veramente bella e sopratutto enorme (ovviamente manca il bidet ma all'estero è routine). Consiglio: non fate colazione in hotel, classica colazione europea a 27 euro a persona, intorno all'hotel ci sono parecchi posti dove poter fare una colazione decente a prezzi più contenuti (Starbucks, Bar italiani ecc..). Nelle precedenti recensioni ho letto di aria condizionata non funzionante ai piani alti,noi alloggiavamo al sesto piano e fortunatamente l'aria era perfettamente funzionante, forse anche tropo 😂

Overall good. Location right behind Lindt Schokoladenmuseum and in front of iconic Kranhaus buildings and Rhine, convenient for exploring the city, one can even walk to HBF along the Rhine or take 2 stops with 132/133 bus. Check-in took seconds, very friendly front desk stuff, always smiling, kudos to the team. Room design is very 2010-ish, but very clean and quite spacious for 1 person. Elemis amenities are great BUT the wash basin right in the room is far from it (really inconvenient and never looks good). Lightning is either greenish-yellow when room lights off and hospital white when they are on. Bed lights just fine. Breakfast was great, all the standard items like hashbrowns, baked beans, sausages and scrambled eggs were in place. Another huge plus for Eilles loose tea, simply divine !

Sehr schickes und modernes Hotel, das mit seiner Lage am Zollhafen hervorragend für den Besuch der Altstadt und Innenstadt von Köln geeignet ist, ferner auch für den Besuch des Schokoladenmuseums sowie des Olympia Museums im Zollhafen. Die Zimmer sind sehr groß und geräumig und in einem spannenden Design eingerichtet. Die Zimmer zur Rheinseite sind deutlich ruhiger als zur Straßenseite. Wenn man dort die Fenster geschlossen hält, ist es allerdings in den Zimmern auch ruhig. Das Personal war sehr freundlich. Hier übernachtet man gerne. Etwas merkwürdig ist nur, dass der fest installierte Duschkopf auf einer Höhe von 1,80 m angebracht ist, so dass man als größerer Mensch nicht darunter passt. Wer hat sich so etwas ausgedacht?
