Arthotel in Heidelberg

This is our second time staying at the Arthotel. The reservation process over the phone was super friendly and seamless, and we got the same room as the first time. The check-in process was very friendly, with all the information and new features. The location is absolutely top-notch; just a short walk down a small alleyway and you're in the beautiful old town. It's bustling with life, with its students and international guests. A good breakfast and very friendly staff. Check-out was also smooth and very friendly... Thank you for everything... We'll be back!

this is a fabulous location for this city. The hotel is really modern and unique. Everything you need is updated in a historical looking building. We have the XXL which is one of their larger rooms, which I highly recommend the bed was very comfortable. All my needs were met if I needed something I called and they brought it up to me. We never got to use the rooftop because the weather wasn’t that kind of weather to sit out and enjoy it, but it looks very comfortable. they have a restaurant for dinner, but unfortunately they’re closed for the month of August I have a nice area off of the reception area, where you can sit outside a small area and a bar if you need a drink which we did not participate in Breakfast was ok All the basics were there and they will make you eggs if you ask We had a good view from one our window there are steps to walk up if you’re taking one of the rooms that are the XXL room an elevator to the second floor and then steep steps up to your room which ours was on the third floor There was a young lady the first night we arrived, who was lovely when I asked for some suggestions for some restaurant she gave me too, and actually, I went to both of them and enjoyed them very much. This is the location of choice for the city. For the location alone.

Great family-run hotel in the heart of Heidelberg. We'd happily stay there again. Good value for money.

Here, old and new find common ground. New concrete skillfully blends with old walls. Our room was attractive, located in the attic of this old Heidelberg corner house. Yes, here and there it was obvious that we weren't the first guests. Sometimes they should remove limescale and dirt from the corners of the bathroom. It would be nicer. The breakfast was adequate, rather standard. Right in the center of Heidelberg. The prices are quite high for such a location. But I would definitely recommend it.

This wasn't our first time at the hotel and we once again had our preferred room, the "Bay Window Room." As the saying goes, "LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION" is second to none. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed with the breakfast during this stay. Therefore, we only gave the service one star.

We stayed in an XXL double room. The air conditioning didn't work – it was very warm in the room – and that in the summer. After a complaint, an attempt was made to change this, but it didn't work. So on the second night, the system was turned off and the windows opened – which helped. Cooler outside air contributed to a sense of well-being! There is a glass wall between the living room and the bathroom. The living room could be darkened, but through the bathroom window, which couldn't be darkened, the bedroom was bright as day from 5:00 a.m. onwards! Breakfast on the first day was disastrous. We had to wait 30 minutes for food (sausages, cheese, fruit) to be refilled. On the second day, everything was fine. Although minimal room service was agreed upon upon check-in, there was no room service at all. The hotel is not recommended in this condition at the moment. Instead of apologizing for the shortcomings, the owner explained upon departure that none of this was true. Strange behavior, considering that no criticism is allowed!

Very nice hotel. Very clean. Large rooms – everything was good – location in the city center. Right next to the university. Ideal for university lectures or weekend trips. Breakfast could be improved a bit, but completely okay.

I spent two days there for an event. The staff was very accommodating, everything was clean, and I highly recommend it.

Our stay at the Arthotel Heidelberg was a complete success! Regardless of the ideal location, the tasteful room furnishings and the great pleasure that we were allowed to bring our dog with us, we would like to highlight the really courteous staff. When we arrived at the reception there were immediately useful tips for our first trip to this beautiful city of Heidelberg. We were looked after particularly well at both breakfast and dinner by Ms. Franke and Ms. Cozearscaia and would like to thank you for this pleasant atmosphere. We'll be back! :-)

Beautiful hotel with great ambience and chic rooms

The Arthotel Heidelberg isn't your run-of-the-mill hotel, like the big chains you'd expect from large chains. Guests are warmly welcomed here, and after checking in, I was personally escorted to my room. Where else can you find something like that these days? The room I was given was very spacious, with a freestanding bathtub and an additional shower. Cleanliness and service are paramount in this hotel. There should definitely be something for everyone at breakfast. The proximity to the old town is excellent. Unfortunately, I can only give it five stars; I would have liked to give more. Please keep up the good work.

We booked a room for a half-day meeting and everything was great, from the offer to the event itself. The room was equipped with the latest technology and all contacts were very friendly and service-oriented. We would be happy to meet here again on a larger scale.

Great location to Christmas markets & rail to visit Heidelbderg Castle. Very personable

A real oasis amid pleasantly-busy travels! The staff (with a particular nod to Jeremy!) make for a warm welcome and the feeling of everything you need being on-hand. Extremely comfortable rooms and phenomenal location to everything you may want to see in Heidelberg. Great view too & nice bathtub - although, some variable water temps depending on demand/timing.

Absolutely perfect location to conquer Heidelberg. Nice people from the reception and in general. The room (115, XXL) was great in itself, little things are missing down to the last star, only one cup for 2 people?

We had a wonderful experience at the Art Hotel. The staff were exceptional and the room was everything a newly wed couple could ask for.

I had a medical appointment in Heidelberg. My wife and I went back and forth on whether or not we should spend the night or drive back to Stuttgart. We knew the Heidelberg Christmas Market was going on, but I was also dealing with some back pain. We looked into booking at the Art Hotel beforehand, but opted to play it by ear. After the appointment, I was feeling better so we drove to the hotel to see if there was any room in the inn. The gentleman behind the counter told us that there was only one room left. He also said that it was the biggest and best room in the hotel. I actually looked at this room beforehand and was wowed by it. Felix said that because they would rather sell the room than let it go empty, we could get it at a very special price. Sold was my immediate answer. Felix took us up to the room and explained everything. We were very impressed. So much so that we ordered a bottle of wine to be sent up to the room. We relaxed and enjoyed this special blessing. We later enjoyed the market, but came back early to enjoy a lovely evening. The breakfast the next morning was very good, but I have been to much better ones. Nonetheless, this one night here was magical. They offer affordable indoor, secure parking. They also have an outdoor deck which must be enjoyable during the warmer months. The service was great, but I really do commend Felix for his outstanding professionalism and kindness. The Art Hotel is a must and ideally located for any visit to Heidelberg!

Top hotel with great service in a best location in the old town

Un hotel excelente. Preciosas, bien equipadas, amplias habitaciones. Bonito mobiliario moderno en un edificio antiguo al que se entra por un bonito patio. Noté que había un piso de arriba fuera del comedor que sería agradable en verano. Buena ubicación para el transporte con parada de autobús a la vuelta de la esquina. Buen acceso a pie al casco antiguo de la ciudad y las principales atracciones. Personal amable. El desayuno era muy bueno. La puntuación habría sido 5. 0 si no fuera porque los artículos agotados no fueron reemplazados sin preguntar. Entiendo la búsqueda de frescura, pero quizás se podría acudir a los invitados para ver si desean más

As the final stop on our 'road trip', coming from Konstanz, I looked in advance for a hotel in beautiful Heidelberg, which is close to the city center, but should be of good quality and offer space for the car. This is exactly what happened during our visit to the pretty Arthotel Heidelberg. We were thrilled to find such a harmonious interior design behind the beautiful historic facade of an old building. The architect has implemented the combination of old building features worth preserving and the well-selected materials for a very modern interior in an exemplary manner. We also really liked the light and airy design with lots of light, the beautiful courtyard for eating or breakfast and the green roof terrace opposite our room. We would visit the Arthotel again at any time and can recommend it without reservation. All the staff, including reception and breakfast, were extremely friendly.

Hotel in a good location. Our room was modern, very clean, had a balcony facing the inner courtyard and was very quiet. The breakfast left nothing to be desired and the service was super nice. You can end the day on the roof terrace. The hotel has an underground car park, which is also a big plus.

Our room was very large, clean and even equipped with a bathtub. The location is great, but it can be a bit noisy in the area at night (traffic and parties). The underground car park had one free parking space and was very spacious overall. The parking space costs €16.50 and the wallbox costs €4.50. The roof garden is certainly a great place to end the evening in summer. The service in the restaurant was great! The selection at the breakfast buffet was large and sufficient. I would have liked it to be filled up quicker. Unfortunately, there was only one morning where you could order freshly prepared egg dishes. That's why I don't think the price for breakfast is justified in the end.

Nice hotel with underground parking where you can also charge electric cars. Perfect location. Rooms tastefully decorated. Very friendly staff. Good breakfast. We recommend.

Easy to get to by car. Charger in the garage - we had an EV. Very conveint to the alt stad and the Schloss. Room had a fantastic bathroom. Breafast a bit austaire. Staff super friendly and very helpfull. Would recommed. Next time in Heidlberg that will be the hotel we will use

OUTSTANDING hotel and the location was perfect. Excellent and helpful staff and the only thing I did not like was not having a refrigerator in the room – but again, the staff provided us daily with all the ice we wanted. On-site parking underground, which was very secure but be aware parking is limited so plan accordingly – prices are also very reasonable. The breakfast was delicious, and the choices were endless – eggs to order and wonderful pastries. Our room was beautiful and perfectly situated along the western side of the hotel with a view out the window of Peterskirche (St. Peter’s Church). The hotel is also right next to the university and only steps to Old Town – personally, much better than being in the center of Old Town for us because it made it easier when we needed to drive outside the town. This hotel had so much charm to it we would stay here again and would positively recommend this place to anyone. Excellence at its very best, kudos to all your staff.

Excellent location in the old town, own parking garage, very fair prices. My number 1 in Heidelberg!

Booked very last minute, was welcomed and felt very much looked after, even though it was a Sunday and staff levels were low. Would definitely return.

The staff made the stay great! We had so many requests, but they acted like it was no problem. The gentleman Checking us into our rooms went to each one and went over the facilities, answered any questions, and proceeded to help as the visit went on. The rooms were spacious and extremely clean. Love the smell in the rooms! there was a Nespresso coffee. No mini fridge, tho. The shower was hot and strong, the rooms were quiet and the AC worked well. Breakfast both mornings, while not included, worth every euro spent. Service was phenomenal in the restaurant both mornings. There was a very large variety of tasty foods. The hotel is central, maybe a 3-minute walk to Europe‘s largest pedestrian only street.

Wir waren für 2 Tage hier. Aufgefallen sind uns sofort die herzlichen Mitarbeiter im ganzen Hotel. Individuelle, sehr saubere Zimmer. Sicher nicht das preiswerteste Hotel aber für die Leistung und die Lage völlig ok. Einen Abend waren wir im Restaurant Romer, ebenso von Essen bis Service einfach klasse. Wir kommen gern wieder!

Como tenemos un bebé y el hecho de que es un hotel pequeño y pudimos disfrutar de la cena estando muy cerca de ella. Y por supuesto el nivel de comodidad que ofrece. ¡Y fue la mejor elección que hice! Personal encantador, todo cálido y agradable y sonriente. Nos dio check in temprano. Check out tardío. Mucha ayuda. Adecuado para todas las necesidades de nuestro bebé. Excelente ubicación para todas las atracciones. Limpio, espacioso, moderno, cómodo. La comida era genial para cenar. Gran chef. El desayuno era bueno pero no increíble. Puedes hacerlo mejor. Buen café y tortilla. Nos encantó nuestra estancia allí, lo hiciste tan agradable y fácil con un niño de 1 año. Muy recomendable

Très bien placé dans la vieille ville.Garage voiture sous l’hôtel relié par ascenseur. Réception sympathique en anglais. Bon petit déjeuner complet sucré et salé. Chambres modernes très bien isolées.Restaurant dans l’hôtel. Nous y sommes restés deux jours ce qui est suffisant pour découvrir Heidelberg.

Hotel sympa mélangeant l’architecture traditionnelle et contemporaine. Très bonne gestion de l’espace dans les chambres et les parties communes. Notre chambre (121) simple mais bien aménagée correspondait tout à fait à ce que nous recherchions pour une nuitée. La literie est très confortable. Rien ne manque au petit-déjeuner. Une note spéciale pour le personnel très réactif pour traiter un problème. La direction est à l’écoute de ses clients : rare ! Nous avons apprécié le parking privé. Nous recommandons vraiment cet établissement bien placé pour découvrir la vieille ville.
