Arno’s Hafen-Pub Pellworm in Pellworm

Even though I haven't been to Pellworm for a while due to health reasons, this is a top-notch restaurant that truly deserves several official stars for the quality of its food and the ambiance. As soon as I'm better and have overcome my cancer, I'll definitely eat there again. Whether it's pizza, burgers, or the pasta with mussels in a tomato cream sauce, everything is excellent. Arno's harbor pub certainly doesn't need to hide behind well-known Michelin-starred restaurants. It's about time for a Michelin star or other culinary awards. :-)

We went there spontaneously last week and even got a table right away (with a short wait). We were absolutely thrilled with the food and the service. We will definitely come back. Thank you :-)

A wonderfully cozy pub with a wonderful view of the harbor and very friendly people like Arno and Bina. For us, Arno's Pub is simply a part of Pellworm 😊 We've been there often and we love it.

We had a very good rump of lamb steak with beans in bacon and fried potatoes. Friendly service and good value for money. The dining options on Pellworm are somewhat limited, so a reservation is recommended.

Best pub in the north: Arno's Hafen-Pub

We reserved a table for 7:30 p.m. We got the tickets after a 20-minute wait. Our order was finally taken after another 20 minutes. The food finally arrived at 8:45 p.m., which was admittedly very delicious. The manager served us personally and was quite pleasant, but apparently a bit overwhelmed by the moderate number of people present. We won't be coming back. Because if I reserve a table at 7:30 p.m., I expect the food to be there by 8 p.m. at the latest, not over an hour later, "in the middle of the night." Lunch at almost 9 p.m. isn't really my thing.

We had spaghetti with mushrooms and crab, as well as an Angus burger. Both dishes, along with the broccoli and cauliflower soup recommended by the chef, were fantastic. Thank you for the recommendation. It makes the somewhat long waits a thing of the past. The value for money is definitely excellent! And that doesn't even begin to appreciate the wonderful surroundings. We'd be happy to come back!

A down-to-earth restaurant with delicious fish dishes. The prices on my visit were reasonable, as the value for money was excellent for us.

Pellworm is known for its principle of slowing down. You can experience that here. Apparently, we looked particularly rushed, so we had to wait 90 minutes for our food, while tables that came after us were served earlier. If only the food had been good...it looked and tasted like convenience food. A shame. One star overall for the location, the second for the moderate drink prices.

The ambiance is simply fantastic, the service is incredibly friendly and welcoming, and most importantly, the food. It was simply fantastic, the quality outstanding. We had top-quality lamb and fillet tips, and the price-performance ratio is absolutely perfect, which we can fully appreciate from Vienna. SO, DEFINITELY GO THERE, BUT ALSO, MAKE A RESERVATION. The food is truly excellent, if not exactly cheap. The ambiance is great, especially with the small "booths" on the terrace. The service, however, was poor. Very long waits, and at times, you were simply ignored so that someone could chat with familiar faces. I honestly had hoped for more. I would still come back.

Great restaurant, very close to our apartment. The owner and staff were friendly, thumbs up. The pan-fried fish (and also the fried potatoes) helped us overcome the frustration of a "not-cleaned apartment"... The Frisian spirit did the rest. We'd be happy to come back...

A must-do when on Pellworm. Highly recommended!

Never again. Even though it was the owner's own fault, it was outrageous. I had reserved a table this morning by phone. The owner personally entered it in his booklet for tomorrow. When we arrived on time, there was great confusion. But instead of acknowledging the mistake and apologizing, we were graciously offered a completely unsuitable seat for dining. Then we waited forever for our order to be taken, drinks, food, and 20 minutes until we were finally asked to pay – by the owner himself! After we politely pointed out that the dining spot wasn't great, excuses and a reminder that mistakes happen. Simply showing a bit of friendliness, acknowledging the mistake, and offering an espresso or schnapps as an apology for the mistake – that would have been customer-oriented. Unfortunately, the food was only average, and the price was outrageous. If you want good food on Pellworm, you should go to the Hooger Fähre or the Alte Kirche (Old Church), for example. I would also recommend the Schwarze Acht (Black Eight). Mistakes happen. Mine was to choose this restaurant. I'll learn from my mistake and won't go there again. Whether the owner will also learn from his mistake remains to be seen.

Unfortunately, we were very disappointed this time. We ordered food from the online menu and ended up having to pay double what was advertised. When we asked the owner about it, he said it's been there for three years, so it's Google's fault. We believe the owner is responsible. Furthermore, the Friesenschnitzel wasn't worth €30. The fried potatoes were swimming in fat, and it came with a tablespoon of shrimp. The price-performance ratio isn't right.

A complete success. The horseradish cream soup with crab easily deserves six stars. The restaurant is cozy. The chef and staff are very friendly. A definite recommendation.

Fast and very attentive service from Arno, food is very good and was of very good quality!

I ate the best veggie burger of my life here. An absolute heartfelt recommendation!! Anyone who visits Pellworm must have eaten at Arno's! The three other dishes that my friends ate were also great! The location at the harbor is very nice. You can sit very nicely outdoors in heated harbor cabins (which the boss personally built!!).

Anyone who knows Pellworm knows Arno's Hafen-Pub. Located right on the old harbor, it's a lovely place with great views of the picturesque harbor and the sea...or mudflats. The building has been extensively modernized in recent years. So does the pub. It shines with a new flair but has retained the original features of the building. You can sit outside in cozy booths and be protected from the wind or you can sit inside by the large windows. The food and wine were very tasty. The fish couldn't be any fresher. We have made another reservation for the next opening day so that we can be pampered with culinary delights again.

Nicely decorated pub. The service was also very nice and the burger was delicious. The pizza was slightly burnt, the base was super hard and gave the strong impression of frozen food. What is definitely not ok is waiting over an hour for food after ordering during normal operations.

Really absolute recommendation from here. I lived in the apartment upstairs and you could eat and drink very well downstairs. Great location too and super nice service.

Delicious food, regional and absolutely authentic. Dinner in the harbor pub is part of the “mandatory program” during our Pellworm stays. Great location, Northern German warmth and simply delicious. 5* through and through. Absolute tip for all island holidaymakers; if you want to be sure of a table, you should definitely reserve a table in advance, even in the winter months.

Very tasty 😋 the only thing I would complain about is the very bright lamps above the tables. A little darker would be nice.

Delicious beer, delicious food. We had the Angus burger with bearded potatoes and the freshly breaded schnitzel with fries and Mushroom sauce. It was only when we issued the invoice that we realized that the fried potatoes and mushroom sauce were subject to an additional charge. They would have liked to have told us this in advance when ordering, but unfortunately this is not priced out in the menu. In this case we felt ripped off.

Maritime flair in a harbor pub with a restaurant. Delicious New Year's dinner, a la carte & daily menu. Be careful not to park too close to the water during high tide! Friendly host and attentive service staff. Absolutely recommended.

The only thing that works here is the cell phone....the boss is more interested in being called for reservations than in guests who are there 👎the GIRLS in the service & kitchen are super friendly....food OK but not a highlight..are still around for 6 days but we don't want to go here anymore.

Full marks for this beautiful restaurant at the harbor in Pellworm! We ate very well and were well looked after. However, make a reservation in advance, otherwise it could be difficult!

My visit to the Arnos Hafenpub had both positive and less pleasant aspects. The location at the harbor is a clear advantage and creates a cozy atmosphere with a beautiful view. Unfortunately the service that evening was disappointing. Despite our reservation made a day in advance, we had to wait 40 minutes for our table. With the comment that we were “lucky” because a table had now become available, we were shown to our seats. After this long wait, it took another 20 minutes for our first drink order to be taken. Despite these teething problems, the food at Arnos Hafenpub was a bright spot. The starter with tomatoes and feta cheese is particularly recommended – it tasted excellent and was a real highlight of our visit. The combination of fresh ingredients and good taste made this appetizer a real treat. We ordered these again to take away a day later - super sustainable in deposit containers. In summary, Arno's Hafenpub offers a beautiful location on the harbor and an appealing cuisine - if you have patience and enjoy the atmosphere, you will be well rewarded with culinary delights.

Our visit to Aron's Hafen Pub on Pellworm was simply sensational! From the start we received great service from Arno and immediately felt welcome. His warm manner and attentiveness made our evening particularly pleasant. The food was fantastic! We would particularly like to highlight Arno's recommendation: the spaghetti with sea mullet in lemon garlic sauce - an absolute highlight. The combination of fresh ingredients and perfect preparation made this dish an unforgettable experience. The horseradish super was also a delight and rounded off the dishes perfectly. Another highlight was the homemade garlic cream with the bread. It was so delicious that you could just enjoy it on its own! The taste and quality of the food completely convinced us. In addition to the excellent food and service, Aron's Hafen Pub offers a cozy atmosphere that invites you to linger. We felt completely comfortable and were able to fully enjoy the view of the harbor. We will definitely be back and can highly recommend Aron's Hafen Pub to everyone. Many thanks to Arno and the entire team for this wonderful evening!

Food was way too overpriced. To charge €50.80 for 4 frozen pizzas with a bit of toppings slapped on them is a complete impudence. Even the frozen pizzas from Aldi taste much better. Not recommendable

This was definitely the best fish sandwich I've ever had...forget Gosch.

Arno's harbor pub was super delicious. The schnitzel was fried really well, the fries were great and the Champion cream sauce was great to put in it. All self-made. The staff is super friendly and the ambience in the sheltered booth invites you to linger. Thank you very much and we'll be happy to come back.

Anyone who has been to Pellworm and stopped by Arno will always come back when they are back on the island. And there are good reasons for that!!! Firstly: Bina's cooking skills - they are breathtakingly good - in other words: everything is super delicious. Second: Arno's hospitality! You always feel like you're in good hands. 🙏🏻 Third: the great team. The food comes to the table quickly and everyone is very friendly, courteous and attentive. Our recommendations are definitely Spaghetti Rummelloch and the crab mushroom pan! Afterwards, a Pharisee follows and the gray rider on top and the evening is perfect! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5/5 stars, big recommendation!!!

We lived in the Heimathafen apartment for 1 week in June 2024. The apartment could only be reached via a stairwell in which you had to walk through a construction site. Dirt and cement dust were free! The craftsmen started grinding, drilling and hammering every day around 8:00-8:30 a.m.😳! The landlord Arno and his wife did not accept any of the criticism, very disgraceful. Compensation in the form of a meal and drinks would certainly have satisfied us to some extent. But far from it! We booked through Booking com and there was no mention of a construction site! That is not how it works!! We wanted peace and quiet, exactly the opposite was the case! The “Old Building” was shown in the photos. We were very surprised at what it looks like in the original!! The pavilion pictured on the pub's terrace was also no longer there. We as guests feel completely deceived!! A current rental of the 2 apartments is as long as the construction site is 🚧, Not recommendable!!!

We had a lovely meal at Arno's, everything was very nicely presented and we also had a portion of crabs. Arno told us in advance how much it would cost and we took it. ###################### We also had a holiday apartment with Arno and Bine, what we have to say was very nicely furnished for 2 people, super large, great 🛁 bathroom, bed is super not that soft, we were able to sleep very well. Great view of the harbor, Edeka and a bakery is right around the corner.Thank you for your hospitality.

Three of us ate here without a reservation. We were lucky to get a place and were thrilled with the food and the price/performance. We would love to come back here on our next stay!

Pellworm Tammensiel Very nice and nicely designed restaurant. Also very good food and friendly staff. Overall, it makes a very good impression at the port of Pellworm. There are also holiday apartments in the building. The building is currently being expanded.

Gemütliches Fischrestaurant mit sehr leckerem Essen. Die Fischgerichte sind einfach köstlich. Service top. Leider sehr ausgebucht. Gut für den Wirt, aber auch verständlich bei der guten Küche😄. Hätten gerne noch öfter dort gegessen. Daher immer vorher reservieren, wenn man in einer größeren Gruppe unterwegs ist.

In den ersten beiden Septemberwochen 2023 haben wir wieder auf unserer Lieblingsinsel Pellworm Urlaub gemacht. Als krönenden Abschluss unseres Urlaub sind wir am Abend vor der Heimreise im HafenPub eingekehrt. In den kleinen Hafenkajüten (max. 4Personen; Reservierung empfohlen) sitzt es sich sehr gemütlich mit direktem Blick auf die Fischkutter und das Meer bzw. den Deich mit Vorland. Decken und Kissen liegen auch bereit und es sind Heizstrahler vorhanden. Von Chef Arno und seinem Personal wurden wir nett und freundlich bedient. Die Tagesempfehlung "Knusper-Shrimps mit Aioli und Bratkartoffeln" hat meinem Mann sehr gut geschmeckt. Ich hatte die "Schweinemedaillons mit geschmorten Champis und Zwiebeln, dazu Hollandaise und Kroketten" - auch sehr lecker. Unbedingt probieren sollt man das selbstgebackene Halligbrot mit hausgemachter Knoblauchcreme (Aioli) - als kleine Vorspeise, auch teilbar für Zwei. Während unseres Urlaubs haben wir zweimalig die selbstgebackenen Pizzen bestellt und abgeholt, um diese auf der Terrasse unseres Ferienhauses zu verspeisen. Die "Südfall" (eine Art Hawaii-Pizza) und die Tunfisch-Pizza waren hier unsere Highlights. Wir können das HafenPub mit seinem maritimem Charme nur weiterempfehlen und hoffen auf ein Wiedersehen im nächsten Urlaub, voraussichtlich im September 2024. Zum wiederholten Mal heute bei Arnos Hafenbar zum Abendessen eingekehrt. Mega leckeres Essen! Preis - Leistung im Lot! Chef und Personal mega freundlich und zuvorkommend. Wer hier meckern will- sollte lieber zu Hause bleiben. Bestellt euch die Pommes - waren die Besten die wir je als Beilage gegessen haben. Alles Andere was wir gegessen haben war auch super. Kleiner Tipp- rechtzeitig einen Platz bestellen.

Reservierung erwünscht, absolut leckeres Essen, netter Service. Beim ersten Mal mussten wir trotz Reservierung 30 Minuten warten, hat sich aber gelohnt.

Schönes Lokal mit gutem Essen aber leider mit schlechtem Services, Durst darf man nicht haben.

Sehr leckeres Essen. Der Service verweist meist auf Arno aber ist ok. Die wuchtigen Stühle nehmen Innen noch viel knappen Platz weg, man sitzt sehr beengt.

Sehr freundlicher Empfang durch Arno. Das Krabbensüppchen mit Meerrettich und Sahne war sehr lecker. Die Scholle nach Büsumer Art war zart und mit Krabben und Speck sehr schmackhaft. Service immer freundlich zugewandt und aufmerksam. Sehr empfehlenswertes Restaurant mit urig-maritimer Atmo.

Sehr lecker! Wir haben zwar nicht im Restaurant gegessen, sondern unser Essen zum Abholen bestellt, aber es war auch in unsere Ferienwohnung super lecker! Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und der Preis total angemessen! Im nächsten Urlaub kommen wir gerne wieder!
