Very friendly owner who also takes time for a chat. Great food. Lovely atmosphere. We look forward to our next visit.

Very tasty food, but unfortunately, the service was not good. The entire floor was sticky, some of the cutlery was very dirty, and the chairs were completely filthy. In the end, we were also overcharged for several drinks and even a dish that we neither ordered nor consumed. We got our money back after pointing it out, but this shouldn't happen. It's a shame, because the food here is really delicious.

Applaus cooperates with the Kornwestheim Men's Choir; the advertising states that food will be served until 10 p.m. Unfortunately, the Applaus staff started at 7:45 p.m., collecting and putting away seat cushions, tablecloths, cutlery containers, and the menus printed and laminated especially for this event. This has a rather "dismissive" feel, making you feel unwelcome. Furthermore, it also gives passersby the impression that it's closing time, even though the club says they'll be serving for another two hours. It's disappointing how unenthusiastic the Applaus staff are at this event. It's a shame for this wonderful club, which puts in so much effort and has gathered countless volunteers, who then have to stand around doing nothing because the outside impression is such that you'd think it's closing time.

I actually didn't want to write a review, but Mr. Wagner's statement that my partner was never a welcome guest at Applause really shocked me. We've been going there for years to Kornwestheim Rockt; he held several events there with his association, and I also hosted my mother's funeral. Mr. Wagner didn't even offer me condolences on my mother's death! I was very disappointed 😞 And the fact that other people we made reservations for didn't show up isn't our fault. They wouldn't have come even if they had made their reservations there in person. We were always there. I wasn't aware that you have to arrive by 6:30 PM to make a reservation for Kornwestheim Rockt, and I couldn't find that information in the reservation confirmation either. A guest who's been coming that long will be held a few minutes longer. And one more note: It's a bit fishy, as we'd say in Swabian, when you get brushed off like that after realizing the club is hosting its event somewhere else. As a businessman, you should always be able to separate your personal and business life! I wish you continued success.

Super delicious food. You can also order smaller portions. They also offer daily specials. Plenty of outdoor seating and free parking nearby.

Shocked at the rejection as a regular guest who had already left quite a bit of money there! First of all, for all readers. I've been a guest there for years with the club (association), up to three times a year with up to 40 members plus the board. I also attended all Kornwestheim rocks events privately with my partner. Every time with food and drinks. I've never complained about the pricing policy privately. Plus, many other visits and reservations, which brought the landlord quite a bit of money. However, this year was the end of the club's existence after the boss wanted to significantly raise the price for the fourth time. Since the first visit three years ago, the price was already 70% higher than the first price by the third visit, and this year it was supposed to be raised again by at least 10-15%. Since I, as chairman, could no longer be held responsible for this, as membership fees had increased by a whopping 0% during this time, we on the board (not just me alone!) had to look for an alternative. And this year, the time had come for us to reschedule. We clearly communicated this to the boss! A few weeks after the association's cancellation, I made a reservation for Kornwestheim Rockt 2025. As in previous years, I made a reservation for all five dates. This was confirmed to me personally by email from the boss. Then, on Tuesday evening, we went to Applaus as usual, just before the event. This time, we even went relatively early, at 6:35 p.m. We went into the bar to ask where we would be sitting, and my companion and I were immediately in for a nasty surprise. The boss emerged from behind the bar like a stung man and verbally attacked me in front of all the guests, saying that Kornwestheim Rockt starts at 6 p.m., so the seats had already been booked. And further accusations for things that happened years ago. We had reserved Kornwestheim Rockt, but not for a specific time. It was also surprising that many seats on the terrace seemed to be unoccupied! I was perplexed and totally surprised to be approached like that in front of all the other guests, especially since I wasn't just sitting there with a drink in the evening, but with several drinks plus food, even from the upper price range! Also very reprehensible, no separation between the activities I have to consider as the chairman of an association and what I do as a private individual. For me, it was certainly the last time I set foot in that establishment. I no longer feel valued as a customer there! Additions to the supposed facts 1-3 Regarding Fact 1: If you can do your own math, the first price is €13.50 including a drink. Then later, €20 without a drink. That's when you get to 70%. Strange, the first time he was like that! For the clubs that needed to be supported. Later, there was no sign of that. Regarding Fact 2: First, they got very loud! Second, it was definitely 6:35 p.m.! We checked the clock a while after leaving the restaurant! The statement that the reservation was only until 6:30 p.m. isn't true, only the reservation was confirmed, not a specific time. Unfortunately, this isn't the first time Mr. Wagner can't remember his emails! Regarding Fact 3: It's strange that I was never a welcome guest??? But the money was gladly taken. So why do I ask myself why he didn't turn me down sooner? As long as the money came in, he was happy. No matter when or how, he dictated the prices!!! In no single case was he able to negotiate a lower price when asked. To write here that I always got my way is simply wrong. The claim that he had witnesses regarding the time of day is also untrue, as I'm sure I'm right here. Stop accusing others of making false statements! Stick to the truth.

A great location in itself. We were there on a Tuesday evening. The food was excellent. The way the boss treated his employees, who were so busy, was appalling. He shouted "shit" across the restaurant and at a waitress. I would strongly recommend that he take a course in nonviolent communication.

We hosted a birthday party with about 50 people. The food was delicious, regional dishes but very delicately prepared, always with a twist that made it fun. The service was attentive and always present. Our expenses included drinks. We can definitely recommend the restaurant.

We celebrated our father's 90th birthday at Applaus in Msi 2025. The welcome from the manager and his staff was very warm. It wasn't a problem that we could put our cakes in the refrigerator. The staff member assigned to us was attentive, helpful, and friendly in responding to every single request—we had three children, two vegetarians, and one vegan. We noticed that she was a lot of fun. The same goes for the rest of the staff. We highly recommend Applaus, and it won't be the last time we're there. Thank you for a wonderful day.

Yes, the roast beef with red cabbage and dumplings (dinner of the day) was very tasty. I like the atmosphere in applause. You understand each other without shouting at each other...it's not loud, even when it's full. Very pleasant.

The restaurant rented a carousel for two days for the Christmas market in December 2024. We're still waiting for payment! Creditreform is currently taking care of it. Unfortunately, they were unsuccessful, so now we're taking the matter to court!

Great juice shop. The bowling alley was requested for birthdays with children, as we have been there several times with children. Invitation sent. And in the end we were canceled. Unsuspecting employees and an inconsiderate boss who simply hangs up on the phone. A total no-go. Stay away from these juice shops.

Restaurant in the "K" - culture and congress center with a guest room, side room, winter garden and large terrace overlooking the market square. Versatile German menu and lunch specials. There are also Swabian delicacies and tarte flambée. The food was delicious and served in a friendly manner. Toilets via steep stairs in the basement. Wheelchair toilet via passage in the cultural center. Parking is free in the Marktplatz underground car park. Gladly again.

We were there with a large group and lots of children. The food was okay. The service is very open and very friendly towards children. There is enough parking space in the free parking garage below.

We ordered crispy schnitzels to pick up. During schnitzel week. According to the pickup, I was there about 15 minutes early. The restaurant is completely full. You could feel the tension, stress and hectic pace, but it was handled masterfully by the staff. The friendliness towards me (just standing in the way and waiting for the food) didn't suffer. I received the food right on time. The rooms were okay so far, even if they could perhaps be made a little more comfortable. The views of the square are beautiful. Even at regular prices, I think it's a good price-performance ratio. I would definitely recommend the restaurant.

The Applause is idyllically located between Stadtparksee and the historic town hall of Kornwestheim. You can eat very well here. In the restaurant or on the beautiful terrace in summer. The service is courteous and very friendly. The opening times and the large amount of space are unique in Kornwestheim. What should also be mentioned: There is a large parking garage under the applause where you can park for free. Certainly not something that can be taken for granted these days. A plus for the applause and a noble gesture from the city of Kornwestheim to its visitors.

We were there for a family celebration with 36 people. We had a very good preliminary discussion about menu selection and wine recommendations with Mr. Wagner. The food was great and the service was attentive and competent. Special requests for children or people with food allergies were immediately offered. The adjacent park invites you to take a walk. Ich verstehe die Bewertung für den Dienstag Kornwestheim Rockt nicht. Man muss mal die Kirche im Dorf lassen. Jeder hat gesehen wie viele Menschen an den Abend da waren . Jeder weiß auch wie die Personallage in einigen Bereichen ist, das man nämlich kein Personal bekommt. Ich finde das Applaus Team hat sein Bestes gegeben . Kann man nicht einfach mal ein bisschen Verständnis aufbringen, das es länger dauert bei so einem Andrang.

Wir sind jeden Dienstag zu Kornwestheim da gewesen. Der Service war eine Katastrophe. Das liegt nicht am Personal sondern am Chef der zu wenig Personal einsetzt oder zu viel Reservierungen annimmt. Weniger wäre hier eigentlich mehr Qualität für die Gäste. Eine Stunde warten auf Getränke oder Essen sind einfach zu viel. Die Leidtragenden sind die Damen und Herren im Service die vor dem Gast sich Rechfertigen müssen.

Bedienung war Teils freundlich Teils zurückhaltend. Kuchen war OK. Außenbereich könnte man ein wenig liebevoller gestalten.

Die letzten Male waren wir von der Qualität der Speisen nicht ganz überzeugt. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis stellte sich somit als ungünstig dar.

Ich hatte für eine private Geburtstagsfeier mittels Catering, das Essen vom Restaurant Applaus in Kornwestheim und war sehr zufrieden. Das Essen wurde mir einschließlich Warmhalte-Geräte geliefert und am nächsten Tag pünktlich abgeholt. Das Essen war sehr gut und reichlich.

Das Essen war gar nicht gut. Geschmälzte Maultaschen mit Kartoffelsalat... Sosse schmeckte nach altem Öl. Kartoffelsalat aus dem Discounter und die Maultaschen hatten keinen Geschmack. Der Service war sehr gut, aufmerksam. Das Ambiente eher wie in einem Vereinslokal.

Wir sind sehr freundlich empfangen worden. Service war super freundlich und auf zack. Essen war auch schnell da und lecker. Die Portionen sind für die Preise angemessen. Wir werden bestimmt noch ei mal wiederkommen. Einzig allein das Fehlen einer Wickelmöglichkeit für das Baby haben wir zu bemängeln.

Wir waren heute zum Schaukelbratenfest in diesem ,,Restaurant''. Das Personal war überfordert.Das Essen was vom MGV Kornwestheim kam war auch nicht gut. Das Fleich bestand nur aus Fett und Sehnen. Man hatte den Eindruck das dieses Personal nicht erfreut darüber war, die Gäste bedienen zu müssen. Als wir trotz dieser Vollkatastropfe auch noch einen Tisch für den nächsten bestellen wollten,ist uns ,man glaubt es kaum,eine Abfahrt erteilt worden. Die Aussage lautete, es ist gerade viel los und wir sollen später wieder kommen. Unglaublich,wir sind dann woanders essen gegangen und werden diesen Schuppen nie wieder betreten. Vielen Dank für nichts.

Das Applaus eignet sich aufgrund der durchgängigen Öffnungszeiten zum Mittag wie auch Abendessen. Das Mittagsessen kann man aus der Mittagskarte entnehmen-vorwiegend traditionelle Hausmannskost. Aktionswochen wie Rostbraten und Bürger gibt es auch zu relativen günstigen Preisen. Allerdings kann man keine Top Qualität erwarten. Das Fleisch oft nicht auf den Punkt gegart, die Pommes sehr oft lätschig. Die Flammkuchen sind jetzt auch keine Geschmacksexplosion laut unserer Kunden. Der Service zuvorkommend und bemüht. Kostenlose Parkplätze gibt es in der Tiefgarage. Kegelbahnen sind ebenfalls vorhanden.

Unkomplizierte Planung, im Wintergarten schön unter uns gefeiert. Leckeres regionales Essen und reichlich Nachschlag. Sehr aufmerksamer Service. Gerne wieder!

Wir waren schon des öfteren im "APPLAUS IM K" zum Essen. Leider waren wir vom Weihnachtsessen enttäuscht. Das Konzept nur Menüs anzubieten ist sicherlich nicht schlecht, jedoch waren die Preise für die einzelnen Menüs meiner Meinung nach zu hoch. Es bestand aber die Möglichkeit einzelne Gänge wegzulassen, wodurch sich der Preis reduzierte. Wir waren eine Gruppe von 10 Personen und hatten unterschiedliche Menüs bestellt. Leider war die Entenbrust zäh, was wir auch bemängelten. Das wurde dann auf der Rechnung berücksichtigt und die Entenbrust wurde nicht in Rechnung gestellt. Hirschgulasch schmeckte teils, teils, (verschiedene Personen beurteilten dasselbe Essen recht unterschiedlich). Leider waren wir dieses mal recht enttäuscht. Der Service ist gut und sehr freundlich.

Eine schöne Terrasse zwischen Rathaus und Salamanderpark in Kornwestheim. Aber die Stühle draußen sind wirklich unbequem. Umbegrenzte Parkmöglichkeiten unden an der Tiefgarage. Schöne Karte mit schwäbischen Klassikern. Das Essen schmeckt, Portionen sind zufrieden stellend, die Preise sind normal bis etwas hoch. Wir waren um die Mittagszeit dort, und dieses Restaurant war voll mit älteren Leute die dort zu Mittag gegessen haben. Mir persönlich hat es gut gefallen und werde wieder zum Mittagessen dorthin gehen.

Das Applaus liegt direkt gegenüber des Parkhauses (wo das Parken nichts kostet!!!). Der Spargel war richtig lecker, der Service auch. Ich würde wieder hingehen, wenn ich in der Gegend bin.

Wir haben am vergangenen Samstag einen Geburtstag gefeiert mit mehr als 30 Personen. Bereits die Vorbesprechungen liefen in einer entspannten, freundlichen Atmosphäre ab. Das 3-Gänge-Abendessen war hervorragend zubereitet - wir hörten von unseren Gästen nur lobende Worte. Die Servicemitarbeiter waren überaus freundlich, zuvorkommend und aufmerksam. Wir hatten Feldsalat als Vorspeise, Hauptgang waren Medaillons vom Schwein und Rind mit Spätzle, Kroketten, Kartoffelgratin und Gemüse und als Nachtisch Apfelküchle mit Vanillesauce. Zuvor gab es einen Gruß aus der Küche.

Eventuell machen sich hier die Folgen der Insolvenz und Weiterbetrieb wider die Vernunft nun spürbar. Ich habe das Restaurant in den letzten 18 Monaten 5 Mal besucht, wenn ich in Kornwestheim war. Bislang war es akzeptabel bis gut, gestern fiel für uns definitiv der Vorhang. Im Juli noch hatte ich einen "Riesen Hamburger" zum Selber Belegen mit Pommes für 10.50 EUR - der war echt lecker, das Fleisch gut und die Sausen prima. Zwischenzeitlich steht auf der Karte ein "Riesen Hamburger, Speckstreifen, Käse, Applaus Dipp und Kartoffelecken" auf der Karte für 11.50 EUR. Dummerweise habe ich genau den bestellt. Der Speck war das einzig akzeptable auf dem Teller, der Applaus Dipp glänzte durch Abwesenheit und es lagen Fertigtütchen mit Senf, Majo und Ketchup auf dem Tellerrand. Das Fleisch war definitiv vorgefertigter, schlechter Qualität und kaum durchzuschneiden. Geschmack war schlicht nicht vorhanden. Kartoffelecken hatte ich in Salat umbestellt, mit dem ich eine verkalkte Dusche sauber bekommen hätte, so sauer war der. ...der Hunger trieb einen Teil dieser Nahrungsmittel in mich hinein. Meine Begleitung bekam zum Zanderfilet (das war gut und auch die Sauce dazu), statt der auf der Karte angekündigten "kleinen Salzkartoffeln", auf die sie sich gefreut hatte, bekam sie aber faustgroße einmal zerteilte Salzkartoffeln. Als sie den ungepflegt erscheinenden Herrn, der bediente, darauf aufmerksam machte, kam weder eine Entschuldigung noch eine Bitte um Verständnis... wir mussten etwas über Größenverhältnisse lernen und endeten im Kopfschütteln. Ich wünsche dem Restaurant eine baldige Schließung und einen guten Neubeginn unter geänderter Führung.

Schon bei der Reservierung wurden wir herzlich empfangen. Nach einem tollen Mittagstisch konnten wir ohne Zeitduck die Einzelheiten zur Trauerfeier besprechen. Alles war so wie geplant und über 100 Gäste wurden mit Hefezopf, Brezeln, Suppe, Kaffee, Wasser, Bier und Wein sehr gut bewirtet. Top Service. Sehr persönlich und immer am Gast! Gemütliches Restaurant obwohl sehr groß. Sehr freundliches Personal, sehr sauber Möglichkeit zum draußen sitzen.
