- Unfriendliness of the 4 employees - Starter and main course without any decoration on the plate and not hot - No proper answers, for example (is there tzatziki included? No. Then they'd happily give you an extra portion. If you order it with the order, you want to return it because it's included, but it's not possible to return it with the starter) - The icing on the cake... There's no tip, let's be honest... it's really cheeky, I didn't even know it was a requirement if you weren't satisfied! A complete disaster for a Saturday evening.

We've been loyal customers for many years. The food is always top-notch. The service is perfect when Vasilli is there. We always enjoy coming back, but unfortunately, we only come back when Vasilli is there. Finding good employees is difficult in any industry.

Great staff, delicious food, great value for money, will definitely be back. P.S. I'll still eat my lamb chop with fries 😜.

Our favorite Greek restaurant closed. Our 36th wedding anniversary, two friendly waiters. The outermost terrace seating was pleasant... Until a small group of children behind us started playing ball the whole time. Agitation... the food was mediocre, but very quick... we were sad. We wanted to take our leftover meat with us, but it was thrown away. Oh, it's already in the trash, oh dear... We won't be back, and we don't recommend it.

Oh man, it could really be good, but like this. But from the beginning: The Apollon welcomes guests warmly; you can't say anything negative. Always a listening ear, always there, always a funny saying on the lips, Greek hospitality, lovely. The garden offers good protection from the sun and prying eyes in the summer, and it's cozy. So, the food: Basically, everything you've tried is delicious, but my God... Please put a little more love into the presentation/preparation. For example: The salads before were quite simple, which is fine, but presented so carelessly. There are more possibilities when it comes to the design. Or the really good krilled salmon, which came with some rice on a lettuce leaf – that's it. And that runs through all the dishes. And the visual aspect does play a role, and it's the final touch. But the Apollon is not bad, it just has to compete with others like the Metaxa, Athos or the Alexandros.

Delicious food and incredibly friendly service. The best Greek restaurant in Dresden.

We celebrated two 80th birthdays there last Sunday with about 30 people. Drinks arrived quickly, but unfortunately, no ouzo to start. The other guests did get one, though, which is why I noticed it was "forgotten" for us. The salad for the main course consists of finely chopped iceberg lettuce garnished with two wafer-thin slices of cucumber and a dollop of dressing—honestly, with so much lack of love, it might as well be omitted altogether. Apart from the appetizers, there were no vegan dishes, which shouldn't really be a problem today. And last but not least, around 10 p.m., we were almost kicked out because "we want to call it a day," even though the website stated the opening hours were midnight. I understand that if there are only two guests left, but not with such a large group. Some guests would certainly have liked to stay longer, and it would have brought in more money. 🤷 We certainly won't be coming back.

We stayed overnight in Cotta while passing through Prague. That evening, while looking for a restaurant, we came across the Greek restaurant Apollon. We received a friendly welcome and were assigned a table. I had fried mussels and calamari with garlic sauce, and my husband had gyros with fries and tzatziki. Since my meal was an appetizer, the size of the dish was appropriate. I would have liked more bread with it (2 small slices). We had asked beforehand if bread was served. My husband had a handful of gyros, 7 French fries, and 1 tablespoon of tzatziki. The value for money was not good! The food tasted okay. I wouldn't go there again.

The dishes we ate were all very good. The service, however, wasn't great; unfriendly and the staff constantly cursed in their native language. There's room for improvement.

We wanted to reserve a table and pointed out that we were bringing a dog. Were immediately turned away with the words no dog... even though it says on the internet that dogs are allowed. Also in response to my statement that it is a very sweet and very calm dog. No chance of coming with a dog. Then not...

Simply the best Greek, not only in Dresden but in general. Delicious food, even special requests are absolutely no problem, great service and a cozy atmosphere. Completely relaxed even with smaller kids. We love coming back again and again (:

The food and drinks came quickly and tasted good. There was a welcome ouzo for everyone except us. And while we were ignored with empty glasses, all the other guests were asked if they wanted the same round of schnapps again. There was no ouzo for the bill for two of over 80 euros for a bottle of wine, 1 small water, 1 starter and two main courses. We felt ignored.

Wir waren zu dritt und hatten unter anderem 4 Vorspeisen, 2 hochpreisige Essen und den teuersten Wein. Während ringsherum Küsschen und Ouzos verteilt wurden, saßen wir nicht nur hochprozentig auf dem Trockenen. Null Service, null Ouzo, Essen gut, aber Verhältniss Preis/ Leistung umangemessen - wir kommen nicht wieder.

We were here for the first time with 13 people on advice. The staff was very friendly and the orders were brought quickly given the full restaurant. Our 2 children were given loving attention. The food was very tasty and portioned according to the prices. We can only recommend it positively.

Was mediocre, portions rather small, metax sauce tasted bland, gyros tiny and not the burner either, squid itself breaded but yes, it didn't pick me up in the Dresden area plus 20 km, a weak Greek. Were there on Saturday lunchtime, almost empty restaurant, I definitely know better

Underground manner. When I asked about a table reservation for 9 p.m., the employee started using first names and barking at me. I assured him that I would have dinner somewhere else.

We went to this place simply because it was closest to our apartment for this stay in Dresden. We went for lunch once and for dinner a few days later. If you are in the area, do not miss this. The food was awesome, the people there are super friendly and welcoming. You can tell it is a popular place when multiple parties on the same evening chose a place for some kind of family celebrations. Save room for desert, as they offer some quite nice ice cream options. For dinner, make a reservation, it'll make it easier. If you decide to stop by, please say 'Hi' from the couple from Nevada.

I've visited many restaurants, but no one has ever done this before, the waiter was so rude to the guests, simply threw the food on the table and said they would never sit outside here again. And he simply ignored us. I can only recommend that everyone not go there. You don't need that in a city like Dresden

The waitress (the younger one) was so rude that I couldn't find the words... Unfortunately, my food (especially the dolma) wasn't tasty - it was borderline bad. However, my husband liked the spaghetti à la Mama... He also smelled extremely unpleasant of sweat...

Absolute disaster...I have 100% never been served such a loveless, tasteless meal...Liver with potatoes out of the oven...Liver was sticky, normal boiled potato...a piece of potato was thrown into the mini blob of tzatziki ...you couldn't identify the salad as a starter...and zero questions about whether everything was OK or the food tasted good...honestly?...the store can go!

You immediately feel welcome here. A nice family-run restaurant with very friendly service. The dishes (gyros, souvlaki and grill plate) were super tasty and sufficient. There was also the welcome ouzo. I can't understand the negative reviews, my absolute recommendation 😀👍

Service was great as always, the ambience urgently needs a thorough renovation. Really not nice anymore, the worst thing is the mega small portions of 5 gyros and 3 calamari are simply not enough with around 10 fries. It's a shame that the quality has deteriorated so massively.

Unfortunately we were a bit disappointed... One plus point in advance, we were very happy to get a table on a Monday, as other Greeks in DD were open. We were also impressed by the prices. The atmosphere was also very pleasant. Until our dishes were served... unfortunately the portions were far too small. Hence the low price. Taste wise it was ok. We've also eaten better. When you cashed out you miscalculated. It can happen to anyone, but ultimately we wouldn't visit "Apollon" again. A pity!

The food was okay and the portion was enough. The prices did not correspond to the menu online! The waiter was very familiar and as a “mom” you were immediately part of it. Actually, I know the Greeks serve an Uzo before and after the meal. That was only the case in this restaurant as a greeting. We met as former colleagues and wanted separate bills. That wasn't possible! So we divided our shares in front of the door because we don't know when we'll meet again.

Food was good, portions a bit small but great service

Pensioner portions for everyone. Eating little and poor quality. Afterwards I went back to get the kebab. 1 schnapps on the house to start. Service partly annoying.

Shockingly bad. Carelessly prepared small portions, no ouzo, better snack character. We haven't been there for 5 years, but the quality has deteriorated incredibly, both in terms of taste and appearance. Either you react and adjust the prices so that the quality can be right again, or the negative recessions continue. With these low prices, it's not surprising that quality and quantity are saved. What a shame! We won't come anymore. Good luck, you can use it.

Unfortunately we are very disappointed😨Our jaws really dropped. Our food aprodhite and tzatziki were presented on the plate in a totally careless manner and one portion turned into two. We had to fish out the small pile of gyros and the minimal blob of tzatziki from under about 12 fries. There was no popular Uzo at the beginning or at the end. The espresso was made from powder. Never again!!! And this was supposed to be my birthday meal! We actually wanted to go to Metaxa and unfortunately they are closed on Mondays.

Been back to Apollon for ages. Service as always very friendly and accommodating. Ambiance with chic wall photos and small tables was appropriate, but this time we had a youth consecration next to us on Saturday evening who was talking very loudly, so that some relaxed silence while eating was hardly possible. The food was tasty so far, but the Metaxa sauce wasn't the same as the house sauce, but the waiter had promised us that, and the portion size had decreased significantly compared to before. However, the prices have remained moderate. Almost 4 out of 5 stars.

Delicious food and funny waiters

The four of us ate there for the first time and we will definitely be back! The staff was super nice, I have rarely seen such a relaxed but professional team. The food was also great, well I would have liked the shrimp to be bigger and more (but that was also a high level of complaint). I can only say that the price-performance ratio is absolutely right and we were even pleasantly surprised. Definitely gained four new regular customers! Today we called from home, ordered food and took me home. I just say the best. As I said, I can only recommend it

The food was okay. But there are better Greek restaurants. Our food was constantly looked at and every 3 minutes an employee walked by and looked. The employees talked very loudly and shouted at each other. After we left the building, we immediately locked up and called it a day. So their opening hours shouldn't be correct.

Simply a wonderful restaurant...you feel like family. Service great....food great...ambience great.....it's definitely not the last time I've been here......

For me, the worst Greek I've ever been to. Stupid comments from a waiter who thinks he's important. You will be ignored if you are not fast enough and not everyone at the table will be asked if they still want drinks. You also had to call the waiter first to be able to order something. Food was mediocre. What was great was the very warm welcome from another waiter or boss and the place where we sat. Still extremely loud.

We were actually looking forward to a great girls' evening. Everything was ok until the payment process. But then we had to deal with an unfriendly employee who ruined our evening. We have never been served so rudely, insultingly and cheekily. And if you only get derogatory answers, I can't give a tip. Sad. And that for Women's Day. But maybe that's how they treat women in Greece. A pity. We are NEVER coming back.

Hello. We were just eating there. A bit disappointing to be honest. The oven gyro was unworn and full of fat. The sauce was good. The dishes were carelessly prepared and, above all, there was no ouzo at the end. All in all we won't be coming back straight away.

Wir sind sehr gern hier Gäste, so auch mit der Familie und Freunden. Die Atmosphäre ist familiär, sehr nett egal ob im Service oder der Küche. Die Karte ist umfangreich und die Speisen schmecken sehr lecker. Gern wird dieses griechische Restaurant unter Freunden und in der Familie weiter empfohlen. Sogar die auswärtigen Gäste kommen wegen der Atmosphäre und dem leckeren Essen hierher. Allerdings sollte man telefonisch reservieren!!! Macht weiter so, wir sehen uns.

We didn't make it and were given the rest to take home with additional delicious sauce. It was a beautiful wedding day at Apollon. Sehr leckeres Essen zu einem sehr guten Preis. Die Portionen sind völlig ausreichend. Das Highlight ist aber immer wieder die Bedienung - nicht nur aufmerksam, sondern auch sehr unterhaltsam. 😀

Der beste Grieche in Dresden. Perfekte und sehr nette Kellner die immer zu einem Scherz bereit sind. Einfach Weltklasse. Auch das Essen ist sehr lecker. Weiter so!!!!

Leider hat es trotz Anmeldung mit 12 Personen 1,5h nach den Bestellungen gedauert bis die Ersten mit erheblichen Zeitabständen unser Essen bekamen. Dieses war völlig trockenes Fleisch und kein Tintenfisch wie erhofft. Der mickrige Salat war die absolute Unverschämtheit.

Wir haben etwas zum Abholen bestellt. Die Portionen waren allerdings eher klein und die Preise wurden kürzlich deutlich erhöht. Die Hauptgerichte sind jetzt teilweise 4€ teurer. Das finde ich leider sehr unangemessen, da die Kosten (z.B. Energie, Zutaten, Personal) ganz sicher nicht in diesem Maße gestiegen sind. Das ist für uns leider ein Grund nicht mehr zu Apollon zu gehen, auch wenn das Personal immer sehr nett war.

Typisch griechisch. Sehr freundlich. Sehr lecker.

Leckeres Essen und freundliche Bedienung

ein spontanes Mittagessen im schönen und schattigen Biergarten am Samstagmittag...unser Erstbesuch (da nach 6 Jahren wiederholte Enttäuschungen im Lieblingslokal "um die Ecje") wir bestellten verschiedene Lieblingsvorspeisen, zum Teilen...typisch griechisch...lecker und reichlich...dann durften wir noch ein Hauptgericht mit "Räuberteller" teilen. Sehr netter und aufmerksamer Service; absolut leckeres Essen zu fairen Preisen. Das Apollon - nur ca. 5 Minuten vom Hebbelplatz, Linie 2 entfernt; die Linie 70 nur wenige Meter weg - ist eine absolute Empfehlung!

Absolutes Loch . Wir wurden pampig angemotzt und es stank nach alter Raucherkneipe. Da vergeht einem alles.

Essen war sehr lecker und reichlich. Hat auch nicht lange gedauert bis es kam. Waren zum Mittagessen. War gut besucht. Werden auf alle Fälle wieder hingehen. Lohnt sich wirklich.👍😄

Essen und Service ist sehr gut.

Essen war in Ordnung. Salat ist leider etwas eintönig. Viel Eisbergsalat. Sonst insgesamt recht klassisch. Insgesamt ist das Restaurant etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Service an sich freundlich und schnell, jedoch war das Personal bei einer getrennten Rechnung bei über 20 Personen etwas überfordert. Am Ende wurde sich sogar beschwert das es üblich sei, das einer alles bezahlt und die Gäste das dann unter sich aus machen.

Ich komme viel in Deutschland herum und teste viele griechische Lokale.Dementsprechend kann ich gut vergleichen. Das Apollon liegt nicht wirklich ruhig und ist im Außenbereich durch eine stärker frequentierte Strasse recht laut . Innen aber kein Problem . Die Qualität des Essen liess nichts zu wünschen übrig , allerdings sind die Portionen für den Preis winzig- eher eine Art Seniorenteller . Für 15€ Gyros erwarte ich eine größere Portion . Ebenfalls ein Masstab ist , ob der Salat wenigstens eine Olive oder Pepperoni enthält. Dem war leider nicht so. Die Wartezeiten waren im Rahmen und auch gab es einen Uozo und fürs Kind eine grüne Alternative. Alles in Allem ok , aber für gute Esser wird man arm bevor man satt wird .

Immer ein toller Aufenthalt. Wir kennen Billy schon viele,viele Jahre. Das Essen kommt immer frisch und lecker auf den Tisch. Mit super freundlichem Personal, immer ein Witz auf den Lippen mit viel Herzlichkeit

Als Ausweich zu unserem Lieblingsgriechen (Arthemis) mal hier gewesen. Kein Vergleich dazu. Die Portion (Suflaki mit Pommes + extra Metaxasauce) viel zu wenig. Essen hat absolut fade geschmeckt. Qualität des Suflakis geht in Ordnung. Nur leider geschmacklich mau. Die Metaxasauce schmeckte überhaupt nicht nach irgendwas außer nach Mehl. Salat war auch sehr dürftig und lieblos zubereitet. Alles in allem hatte es Imbisscharakter. Schade um's Geld.

Hatte viel gutes vom Apollon gehört und wurde dann dich enttäuscht. Der Service lief leider schleppend. Auch der Begrüssungsouzo bzw der Abschlussouzo blieben aus. Das Essen hat geschmeckt, aber trotzdem hatte man das Gefühl dass man genervt von einem war. Sehr schade.

Leider kann ich das Essen nicht beurteilen,weil wir sehr unfreundlich darauf aufmerksam gemacht wurden das kein Platz mehr frei ist.Für mich nicht gastfreundlich.

Ein Grieche mit Herz. Wenn man gut essen möchte und einen super Service erwartet, dann ist man hier genau richtig. Hier im Restaurant passt alles zusammen. Geschmacklich schmeckt man die griechische Kochkunst hier raus. Meine Empfehlung hier Essen zu gehen ist ein muss.

Wir waren zufällig auf dem Nachhauseweg von Dresden nach Meißen dort und haben auch relativ spät noch Essen bekommen. Super nett, die Portionen nicht so riesig und das Essen hat geschmeckt. Die Parkplatzlage ist ein bisschen bescheiden, da muss man ein bisschen Zeit zum Suchen einplanen. Dafür kommen Getränke und Essen schnell.

Mittelklasse Grieche, Essen teilweise sehr lieblos angerichtet & dafür teuer. Schweinesteak gefüllt kam nur mit Pommes dafür kein Tzatziki oder grüne Beilagen - und das für knapp 20 Euro.

Sehr freundliche und persönliche Bedienung. Essen war sehr schmackhaft , frisch und preiswert. Es schreiben "Moni" und Christian aus Königsbrück, es war wieder schön in Frosch-Cotte und Kuh-Löbte

Wir kommen schon seit einigen Jahren hierher und die Qualität sowie die Freundlichkeit der Gastgeber sind stets zur vollsten Zufriedenheit. Wir fühlen uns sehr wohl hier.
