I was in Apollon in Januar 2024 and now again. I had liver again .. still same quality .. having lived in Greece i asked them to put extra garlic in the Zaziki, .. Staying at Novotel .. it is nice to get out of the hotel and Apollon is just on the other side of the street .. almost too easy .. but worth the short trip. Do i often go to Greece restaurants .. No .. often they do not live up to what i am looking for .. but i guess i have found one that i like...

I stopped here on the way home from Denmark to Nuremberg... Great food 😋 at realistic prices. Generous portions!!! I didn't want any side dishes and was allowed to help myself to the delicious salad buffet. Drink prices are reasonable and the service is remarkably friendly. 👍 You have to support that if the guest feels like a 👑 king 👑. There was also an Uzo on the house... if I end up in Hildesheim again, I know where to go! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Delicious food and catering at a good price

Beware, I suggest not eating all day if you go here. The food is absolutely beautiful and large portions. We were given a lovely fresh salad with fresh crusty bread and a mountain of tzatziki, on the house, and it was enough for 4 starters! We had the Crete plate for 2 and couldn't finish it.

The worst Greek I've ever experienced, there were three of us... and we took a table outside... The salad buffet is just the cheapest standard. The carrot salad was certainly from a wholesale jar, it was rubbery and weak. The dressing, like almost everything, was from a wholesale market and you could taste the preservatives. The plates weren't warmed up so the food was immediately cold... the portions were very generous and extremely expensive. Here everything is made from glass from the wholesale market and nothing is made from scratch... the meat would have been good if it had been warm longer. We also complained, they then apologized to us and passed on the objection. But I don't think anything will change...

A cozy little restaurant. It was very tasty and the service was very nice.

I can't understand the positive reviews. The gyro was dry and had thick gristle in it. Very little tzatziki is given. The salad is obviously of the cheapest quality and tastes bland despite the seasoning. It is served on very small plates. Also quite expensive. The accompanying chicken schnitzel was a little better, but also below cafeteria standards.

A small but nice restaurant, the food is very good. The service is very friendly and polite. The prices are completely reasonable. Despite the good impression, there are 2 small points of criticism: the salad bar was very empty and not everything was in stock and what others have already complained about, you could have asked if you wanted to drink something else if the glasses were empty, which isn't intrusive if you don't ask in advance might. If that is fixed it will be a top restaurant.

Super nice and very tasty. If there was a problem or something was forgotten, you get an alternative straight away or it's on the house. They also accept special requests. I've been here for the 20th time now and would love to come back again and again.

The Apollon is a nice, cozy little restaurant. The service is first class and the staff very friendly. Special requests are also happy to be fulfilled.

After the reopening, one can only say great. As soon as we entered we were greeted in a very friendly manner, we had booked a table, which you should definitely do. The restaurant was very busy and our orders came at the same time even though we had ordered different dishes, which was very good. The food was very plentiful and very, very good, the salad buffet was very plentiful of everything and the stresing was great. It is a restaurant that can only be recommended, and a big compliment to the entire team but especially to the kitchen.

It was really tasty again, great service despite Covid-19. 08/10/24:It was delicious again, there's nothing to complain about. Here and there you could get a little more out of it. (Arrange the appetizer plate, refine this red sauce.) All in all, it was a nice and delicious time there again.

It was our first time in this Greek restaurant. Service was very friendly and the food was very good (gyros in Metaxa sauce). There is also salad from the buffet. We'll definitely be back.

We were actually looking for another restaurant, when we happened to pass Apollon and that was lucky:) The restaurant is pleasant, the menu card copious and the service impeccable. We had delicious greek food and wine - all in all a very good memory from Hildesheim We will be back

Greek owner, Greek Cook supported by the owners Greek mother .. Food almost like in Greece.. only difference they cannot get same local ingredients for everything like in Greece. We had Greek bean soup -- Very nice, grilled liver - Very nice and Lam Aubergine .. Very nice .. to that salad bar - with fresh salad ..To those of you who have lived in Greece .. this is as close as it can get outside Greece ... Nice ambiance, Very good service, Price Quality ... I personally think the prices are too low .. Will i go again .. Certainly YES..

Immer sehr leckeres Essen, komme hier mit meiner Freundin regelmäßig hin, seit wir uns kennen. Leckeres Essen, immer tolle&nette Bedienung. Salatbar :) wir kommen gerne wieder! Auch die vegetarische Auswahl ist gut!

Genau wie die Vorbesitzer, sind die neuen Inhaber sehr freundlich, hilfsbereit und zuvorkommend. Das Essen ist gleichbleibend lecker und es hat sich nach der Geschäftsübernahme geschmacklich nichts verändert. Sind wohl noch die selben Köche in der Küche am Werk. Wir gehen schon Jahre hier essen und werden es auch weiterhin gerne tun !

Da es eine Empfehlung war....mal mit der Familie ausprobiert. Ein kleines , rustikales Restaurant. Es war sehr gut besucht, ich würde empfehlen einen Platz vorher zu reservieren....ruft an...bei der Online Reservierung kam keine Bestätigung , hat aber dennoch geklappt. Essen war gut! Fleisch top. Auch das Gyros war nicht zu trocken. Parkplätze sind anliegend zu finden aber bis 19 Uhr mit Parkticket... Kleines Salatbuffett [seht ihr in den Bildern] ist fast bei jedem Gericht dabei.... Guten Appetit

Das Essen war super. Der Service und das Ambiente prima. Zu bemängeln sind die Getränkepreise, für eine Kleine Cola 0.33l 3,80€ fand ich schon Grenzwertig.

Vorweg am Salatbuffet gesunde Vitamine naschen. Das Suflaki war gut, vor allen Dingen nicht zu trocken. Keine unserer 4 köpfigen Gruppe hatte etwas zu beanstanden.

Im Frühjahr gab es wohl einen Besitzerwechsel und man schon das die Qualität der Speisen nachgelassen hat.

Sehr Bettes Personal Essen sehr lecker wenig warte Zeit.

Nettes grischisches Lokal freundliche Bedienug. Die Speisenplatte mit Gyros, Leber und Reis sowie einem Beilgensalat waren griechisch gewürzt und schmeckten vorzüglich. Auch die bestellte gemischte Vorspeisenplatte wusste zu gefallen: frisch geschmorte Zuccini und Auberginen auf Krautsalat mit Tarama und veschiedenen anderen Zutaten schmeckten sehr gut.

Das Ambiente ist vielleicht nicht das modernste und die Platzverhältnisse sind auch nicht die Größten, dafür ist das Essen im super lecker. Die Portionsgröße ist so wie man es beim Griechen erwartet und der Preis ist auch absolut angemessen. Durch die oben angesprochenen Platzverhältnisse ist es immer voll und trotzdem ist das Essen immer schnell fertig. Auch wenn man spontan mit 15 Handballern Abends um 21:30Uhr erst kommt, bekommt man immer noch was zu essen und wird freundlich empfangen. Sollte man sich mal essen zum mitnehmen bestellen, bekommt man natürlich auch einen Ouzo aufs Haus, um die Wartezeit zu verkürzen. Kann den Laden wirklich nur empfehlen.

Bei unserem Aufenthalt in Hildesheim waren wir auf der Suche nach einem Griechen. Das Apollon war in der Nähe von unserem Hotel und wirkte gepflegt. Das Essen war sehr lecker und war vom Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis in Ordnung. Die Portionen, wie beim Griechen üblich, waren riesig. Warum nur 4 von 5 Punkte? Leider hatten wir Gyros mit Kretanischen Kartoffeln bestellt und trotzdem haben wir noch Reis dazu bekommen. Das war natürlich deutlich zu viel. Das Gyros war sehr lecker, hätte aber auch etwas weniger fettig sein können. Ansonsten hat alles gepasst. Auch die Bedienung waren freundlich und schnell.

Habe mir um 21 Uhr eine überbackenen Grillteller und ein Bier bestellt. Getränk kam innerhalb von 5 Minuten und das Essen war auch nach ca 15-20 minuten da. Essen super! Service aufmerksam dezent und sehr nett! Empfehlenswert

We hebben het restaurant bezocht met een bevriend stel. Het restaurant is echt nog een lokale Griek in hildesheim. Zeer vriendelijk ontvangst en de bediening ook heel vriendelijk. Het eten is heerlijk en de porties zijn meer dan genoeg. Wij komen hier zeker weer als we in hildesheim zijn.

Die Tischdecken sind aus Plastik in dem insgesamt braunen Ambiente. Wir hatten unter anderem eine vegetarische Gemüseplatte, die sich als mit sehr fettigem Käse und Bechamel überbackenem (Tiefkühl?) Brokkoli, Blumenkohl und Bratkartoffeln erwies. Der Service war langsam und unpersönlich.

Dies war unser erster Besuch im Apollon und bestimmt nicht unser letzter. Meine Tochter und ich hatten zwei gemischte Fleischplatten und waren begeistert. Beides große Portionen und das Fleisch sehr schmackhaft und perfekt gegrillt und gewürzt. Die Leber auf meiner Platte war geschmacklich die beste die ich je gegessen habe. Beide Platten waren wahlweise mit Pommes oder Reis bestellbar und das Schweinefilet meiner Frau mit Schafskäse gefüllt war mit der Folienkartoffel und den grünen griechischen Bohnen ein Genuss. Den Salat kann man sich am Buffet selbst zusammen stellen mit allem was man dazu braucht. Die Preise sind sehr günstig, denn wo gibt es noch Zaziki als Vorspeise für 3 € und ein Hefeweizen für 3,50 €. Die Bedienung ist flink und freundlich und alle Dinge waren schnell auf unserem Tisch. Unsere uneingeschränkte Empfehlung hat das Apollon und wir kommen wieder.

Gute, griechische Küche. Ordentliche Portionen zum kleinen Preis. Personal nicht auffallend freundlich aber nett.

Besökte stället en vardagkväll, men där var ändå nästan fullsatt, och många som hämtade mat för avhämtning. De erbjuder ett standardutbud av grekiska rätter till bra priser, och personalen är väldigt trevlig. Maten är god och mycket prisvärd. Jag har ätit godare grekisk mat på andra ställen, men då har maten kostat betydligt mer.

Ein sehr guter Grieche mit guter Qualität und fairen Preisen. Wir waren schon mehrfach normal dort, haben aber auch schon zweimal mit einer größeren Runde Buffet gemacht. Das Fleisch ist wirklich sehr lecker und saftig, der Salat und das Zaziki auch sehr gut. Auch der Lachs ist dort sehr zu empfehlen. Ich würde sagen in Hildesheim die beste Adresse, um griechisch essen zu gehen.
