What a great restaurant. The food was excellent. The ambiance was Mediterranean. Service was fast and very friendly. I called on a Friday lunchtime and reserved a table for dinner. They confirmed it with great courtesy. After dinner, we were offered a free ouzo, which unfortunately didn't live up to the positive reviews. Please refrain from having it.

1000% recommended!!!!!! We were (unfortunately) only in town for a concert, it's a shame you're so far away. Otherwise, we would have become regulars. The food and service (thanks Nora 😘) were simply fantastic and incredibly delicious. A huge compliment to the kitchen. We've eaten Greek food many times, but this was truly amazing. The fillets were cooked to perfection, the vegetables were super crispy, and my absolute favorite, the Cretan potatoes. NEVER been so good!!!! The manager was super sweet and friendly, even on the phone. We really enjoyed our time with you..... Huge compliments and thank you for the wonderful time.

The prices have gone up! And they're no longer offering the Quzo. Such a shame! The food was delicious, nothing to complain about. But here, too, a portion of tzatziki cost over 6 euros. No, that's overpriced.

Quite unassuming from the outside, but beautifully decorated inside with beautiful murals/frescoes and a fireplace. The rooms are somewhat divided, so it would be possible to sit separately even with different group sizes. The service staff were all very friendly, and the food was delicious. The prices are a bit on the high side, but justified. In the summer, there's also outdoor seating in the back courtyard. It looked cozy from the parking lot. However, it doesn't seem to be for sun worshippers.

There is a very pleasant, calm atmosphere at Aphrodite. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. We had the platter for two people, which included a starter platter with delicious creams and a very large, delicious salad. The plate itself is basically a very large grill plate with various types of meat prepared to perfection. The lamb and the gyros are particularly noteworthy. If you fancy a good Greek restaurant with a pleasant atmosphere: definitely go there.

the food was tasty, just a pity that there is no dessert on the menu... apparently you need a credit card to pay in cash in this restaurant... because the waitress kept asking for my credit card, while I had indicated several times that I wanted to pay in cash/bar and not with a credit/bank card 😒

Today we decided on Greek cuisine. We chose from the lunch menu. We received a very friendly welcome. Very friendly service. The food didn't take long and was served just right. We would love to come back and can only recommend the restaurant.

Everything is always very tasty and fresh. Several options from original Greek recipes and there is often a dish of the day depending on the inspiration of the cook and depending on the season. Portions are filling, we often take leftovers home. Despite the fact that the shop is always full the service is very fast and efficient. Wide variety of Greek wines.

Half the fish was gone and discolored or maybe even moldy and smelled, the meat was way too dry!!!!!!!

It was our first time eating there. The atmosphere was beautiful. A crackling fireplace, friendly service, nice furnishings and the food was very good. We had Stifado. Greek-style braised veal, served with green beans and potatoes. Hmmm...yum. The restaurant is worth a visit.

Went here for dinner with four people. The quality of the food was rather average. But what we found to be negative is that, for example, for a grill plate that costs over €22, you have to pay extra for tzatziki. You also pay an extra charge if you change your order (fries instead of rice). At least we don't know that from other Greek restaurants. This is how you scare away your customers.

Great food. But when making a reservation, specify that you would like to sit "at the back" - or in the beer garden in summer. You can also order and pick up by phone. Here you should know what you have ordered, because that is what they will ask for. Even here, the food at home is still wonderful.

In general, the negative reviews here are mostly "from anno tobak = ancient": I don't understand what such years-old comments could have to do with current gastronomy: Currently you can relax wonderfully in the shady beer garden in warm weather in the most beautiful holiday ambience of a Greek tavern . The food on offer is above average and the service is charming. The moussaka was great! Everything at reasonable prices, the ouzo after the Greek mocha is “on the house”... We'll definitely come back!

On the positive side: the food was good, not overly seasoned for the price in terms of quantity in the lower third The negative: the service when we entered the restaurant, 2 people behind the counter who didn't think it was necessary to at least look over at us, so we didn't feel welcome at first

I have rarely eaten such delicious gyros! My wife and adult son were also very happy with their dishes. Although the outdoor area was very busy, we didn't have to wait long for our food. So 5 stars for the quality of the food and service.

Very nice Greek restaurant, a little away from the city center. The food is very tasty and authentically Greek. The employees are very friendly and the prices are fair. Gladly again!

Food: The food was good! Nothing wrong with good Greek food, but gets 4 stars because the overall dinner experience was just good. Good gyros, good sauce, good pommes, and good salad. Nothing bad to say, but none of the dishes blew me away. Service: The service was great and the people were welcoming and nice. Has to get 5 stars because, even though it took a while to get the bill. Food and drinks were both very quick to come to the table. Vibe: The vibe cant get anything less than 5 stars. Once you enter, it suddenly seems like you're in Greece, and the art on the walls also don't fail to please while you're there.

I have gone to this restaurant for the second time. I am living abroad and there we aim to have dinner with friends and co-workers. As always we had a great time And the dinner was also very good, but for me it was too much and I took half of it to the place where I had my place to sleep.

We ate zaganki (breaded sheep's cheese) and a grilled plate each. The sheep's cheese tasted delicious and the meat on the grill plate was grilled juicy. The service is friendly and quick. The facility is very comfortable. Luckily there is a carpet at the back of the room, so it doesn't stop. I'm glad I tried this Greek restaurant because now I finally have a delicious Greek restaurant that I can go to more often. Our friends have already been informed. We'll go there soon.

Very friendly staff. There are a few parking spaces in front of the door. The price-performance ratio is okay. They even had the new prices next to the old prices on the memory card. You could immediately find out about the new prices. In my opinion, the increase is fair. You can still afford it now if you want to go out. I also found something delicious for myself as a vegetarian. As a starter I had baked eggplant and a delicious farmer's salad. I will definitely recommend the Aphrodite restaurant Last but not least, we had a lovely evening with our sports group.

Wollten unbedingt mal in einem für uns „neuen“Griechisch kochendem Lokal essen und ausprobieren ob das etwas für uns ist!! Und es ist nach vielen Jahren wo wir nicht hier waren die Sonne aufgegangen 😁😋 So muss das schmecken, du hast ein Geschmack im Kopf von dem Griechischen Essen und es ist noch besser 👍🏻 Dankeschön dafür. Meine Frau und ich sind vom Service vom leckeren Essen Wein Ambiente überzeugt. Wir kommen schnell wieder um vieles zu probieren. Alles gut und wir empfehlen…Fahrt hin und genießt es…

A really good Greek restaurant option in Ratingen. It is bit away from the Zentrum but definitely worth the walk. They also have kids menu which is really nice. The place is pretty crowded during weekends, so taking reservations is advised. The staff who served us was also very friendly and helpful. Tried a chocolate desert and it was too good.

Wow - was ein Geschmacks Erlebnis! Traumhaftes griechisches Essen, bester Service und schönes Ambiente. Von Vorspeisen (mit eigenen griechischen Kreationen) über Hauptspeise (die Baby Calamari und der gegrillte Fisch waren ein Traum) war alles exzellent. Ein kleines Stück Griechenland in Ratingen. Für uns bisher das beste griechische Restaurant in Deutschland! Wir kommen gerne wieder :) danke!

Sehr freundlich und aufmerksames Personal und nettes Ambiente. War an diesem Abend gut besucht. Wir waren mit 8 Person dort und nach der Aufnahme und schneller Lieferung der Getränke wurde die Bestellung abgefragt. Die Vorspeisen wurden schnell serviert und ließen keine Wünsche offen. Dann wurden die Hauptspeisen fast zeitgleich serviert. Auch hier gab es nichts zu beanstanden. Reichhaltig und sehr lecker. Aufmerksam wurde darauf geachtet, dass man auch nicht auf dem Trockenen saß. Wieder einmal ein gelungener Abend. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Leider war das Essen nicht heiß genug obwohl zu diesem Zeitpunkt nicht viele Gäste im Lokal waren. Leider muss man mittlerweile wenn man statt Reis, Pommes will extra zahlen. Für den Preis, etwas anderes erwartet.

Wir waren heute zum ersten Mal dort und haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Essen war gut und die Bedienung sehr nett.

Accueil très sympathique de la part de la serveuse , qui se rappelait de nous, 2 mois après notre dernière visite. Elle apprend le français et nous a aidé à choisir et commander les plats dans la bonne humeur en parlant français/anglais et allemand. Cuisine toujours excellente. Prix très corrects. A découvrir absolument.

Très bon accueil de la part du personnel Famille française ne parlant pas allemand, échanges en anglais sans problème. Très bons plats. Cuisson parfaite des viandes. Très bon rapport qualité/prix . Adresse à conseiller.

Wir waren gestern zu 4 dort Essen,Vorspeisen,Garnelen Pfänchen+Taramas super.vorher einen frischen Salat,dann 2x Fischplatte,Filetsteak+Kräuter Rumpsteak alles Super gekocht.Auch unsere Sonder Wünsche wurden sofort erfüllt.Getränke gut gekühlt.Danke an das APHRODITE Team+einen extra Dank an den Profi in der Küche.Für dieses gute Essen Fahre ich gerne von Essen nach Ratingen.Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder.

Wir waren zum Abendessen im Restaurant Aphrodite. Das Lokal war mit Gästen gut gefüllt. Wir hatten keinen Tisch reserviert, bekamen aber trotzdem einen Tisch zugewiesen. Die Bedienung war freundlich und wir bekamen schnell unsere bestellten Getränke. Zuerst nahmen wir eine gemischte Vorspeisenplatte. Diese war mit 4 verschiedenen Spezialitäten belegt und sehr lecker. Danach bestellten wir unser Hauptgericht, Saflki-Tellen, Rindfleisch in Rotweinsauce mit Zwiebeln und Rindfleisch mit Bohnen. Alle Gerichte waren sehr schmackhaft und zu empfehlen. Abschließend noch einen griechischen Yoghurt mit Walnüssen und Honig, der sehr lecker war. Ein schöner Abend, wir kommen gerne wieder.

Wir waren gestern das 2 mal dort essen,Gyrospfanne mit Pommes+Muscheln mit Gemüse,vorher einen frischen Salat,da zu ein großes kaltes Bier.Das Essen war sehr lecker,guter Koch,nette+freundliche Cheffin.Wir kommen wieder DANKE.

In regelmäßigen Abständen essen wir hier, wenn die Lust auf Tintenfisch und Calamari mal wieder zu groß wird oder ein Lammfilet auf unserer Wunschliste steht! Das Essen war hier immer schon super in den letzten Jahren aber jetzt ist auch das Ambiente deutlich schöner, die jungen Leute haben nach ihrer Übernahme richtig investiert - und das zahlt sich aus! Sowohl der Biergarten als auch der Innenbereich haben gewonnen und auch wenn die Preise etwas erhöht wurden- es hat sich gelohnt!! Am Wochenende und zu besonderen Terminen ist es dringend angeraten zu reservieren! Trotz der hohen Restaurantdichte in Ratingen werden wir „Aphrodite“ treu bleiben!

Abgesehen von den extrem langen Wartezeiten, wurde einiges falsch gebracht oder man musste zweimal nachfragen weil es unterwegs vergessen wurde. Das Essen fanden wir leider auch nicht überzeugend
