A lovely, rustic apple wine bar in the heart of Neu-Isenburg. Free parking is about 600 meters away. Delicious, classic Frankfurt fare—ribs, Frankfurter schnitzel, handkäs (a kind of cheese).

Cozy apple wine bar with typical Hessian dishes. The prices are high. My roast pork was somewhat carelessly prepared. It also tasted bland. The dumplings were a bit mushy. Overall, it was no more than okay.

My favorite apple wine bar. Best hand cheese ever. Rules! I also sprayed graffiti art in the courtyard and on the facade, as well as on the Bembel Aesthetics van in 2011 and 2021.

Stopped in for dinner at short notice. Luckily, I found a seat even without a reservation. Service was rustic, but then it was quick. Unfortunately, the knuckle of pork wasn't quite as tender or crispy. We also had salad beforehand. Colleagues had schnitzel and spaetzle. They were satisfied and full! The beer was delicious and at a pleasant temperature. Paying by card was easy. Good address, if not exactly inexpensive. Apparently the number one spot in Neu Isenburg, though. Can be easily recommended, given the lack of real alternatives.

The Föhl has apparently become a gourmet temple. The prices here are pricey. A small portion of green sauce in a small pot as a side dish... And then, plus €7.50. A 0.4 l apple juice spritzer is €5.60. Espresso is €3.50, a cup of coffee is €3.90, and a cappuccino is €4.50. Businesslike service. The food was good.

Great authentic German food with a lot of taste. The menu includes all the traditional dishes and the meat is very good. I loved my pork knuckle (big portion also good for 2 people). The sauces are all very balanced and flavorful. I loved the traditional green sauce made with 7 different herbs. The service is very friendly and the people are all nice. There's a nice small garden in the back of the restaurant. Worth the trip from Frankfurt to enjoy a real German cuisine experience.

An authentic cider pub, food prices are ok, but I find 5.60 euros for a large 0.5l cider extremely expensive and a rip-off.

Company took us there for Christmas dinner. it's a nice place with outdoor/indoor and the food is good. I had my first green sauce with schnitzel and it was delicious, but i can't compare to other places yet. The apple wine was great. I'm giving 4 stars because i prefer more quiet, less packed places, it was so loud we couldn't really hear eachother. I assume it's a very authentic place, because of how many local, older customers i saw there. I unfortunately can't tell myself - yet. Let's trust the locals!

Authentic cider place Frankfurt gastronomic culture is cultivated here. The apple wine bar on the old market square in Neu-Isenburg is a far cry from the tourist shops in Sachsenhausen. The rustic restaurant with cozy terraces on the market square and in the inner courtyard is no longer an insider tip and has been recommended by Slow-Food for many years. On warm summer evenings it is not possible to get one of the coveted tables without a reservation. Hand cheese, fried tartare, Frankfurt green sauce, apple wine and the popular medlar are part of the kitchen's standard menu, which is supplemented by daily specials. When it comes to authentic Ebbelwoi culture, the trip to Neu-Isenburg is worth it.

We have been visiting the Föhl regularly and with great pleasure with the entire family for years, since February 1st. Even better in 2025 (😉). The food is very tasty and consistent! good. Personally, I hardly eat meat and don't drink cider 😂 (unlike the rest of the family), but I always find something delicious to eat and there are many alternatives to cider. The service is quick, friendly, authentic, humorous and not intrusive. The atmosphere is informal and the audience is diverse. Everyone seems welcome, whether young, old, sporty, casual or formal. Keep it up 👍.

The best schnitzel address in Neu-Isenburg and the surrounding area! We have enjoyed coming here to eat for years and every dish is delicious without exception! We are always very satisfied with the service and the price-performance ratio is absolutely fair and okay for the quality of the dishes. However, you should make a reservation in advance as the restaurant is always busy. We are already looking forward to our next visit to Föhl! :)

A beautiful and cozy inn on the market square in Neu Isenburg. There are also parking spaces in the area. But let's get to food. The menu is well stocked with various dishes. The food is very digestible and we had a good Äppelwein with it. The service is friendly, we were satisfied with the entire service! I give a recommendation with 5 stars!

Too bad. Actually very nice place. However, as a group of young people, we were very rudely told off that we weren't allowed to play anything here (we had small decks of cards). It's nothing like an "economy"; it's more of an out-of-touch restaurant. Definitely not for a social gathering.

A great evening with friends in the Alsass-Stube. The service would have earned 10 points. Incredibly friendly, patient, competent and humorous. You could tell that she enjoys this job and enjoys being a hostess. The cider is really good, the food is not exciting but okay, just an cider bar and not a gourmet temple. The room was nice, a bit noisy when full but very cozy. We'll definitely be happy to come back!

Our favorite restaurant. Staff is on fire, very decent and kind. Wonderful atmosphere, full hut, cozy outdoor area. The food (menu/weekly menu aka “Extrablatt”) is always very good, great products are used and they are processed excellently. Take away is also possible. The green sauce, the ribs, the ox cheeks (like more often!!!), the chocolate pudding, the cheese spaetzle, the soup, apple fritters (like more often), sliced ​​meat, and so on... are sensationally better than anywhere else!

Here you can eat little things, such as hand cheese with music or "snow flurry", and on the other hand the most delicious Hessian cuisine as well as great schnitzel and steaks. And briefly about the team: Very attentive, very accommodating and perfectly organized. Here you really feel like a guest. 👍 Last but not least: The men's toilets (I wasn't allowed to use the others 😁) are clean and great.

Wir waren hier kürzlich zu Dritt zum Abendessen. Eine Wirtschaft, wie aus dem Bilderbuch. Urig und gemütlich. Der Lärmpegel (gehört dazu) war trotz vollbesetztem Gastraum moderat. Der Service war sehr feundlich und professionell. Die Küche ist in bestem Sinne gutbürgerlich. Wir hatten Lammstelzen mit Bratkartoffeln und grüne Bohnen, ganz klassisch. Alles sehr gut. Ich habe schon lange nicht mehr so gute Bratkartoffeln gegessen. Meine Mitesser hatten Rostbratwürstchen mit Pürree und Sauerkraut und Rotbarschfilet auch mit Pürree. Auch sie waren ziemlich begeistert von den Gerrichten. Preis und Leistung stimmen in Anbetrcht der sehr guten Produktqualität. Der Äppelwoi ist natürlich geschmackssache. Ich fand ihn lecker. I would have liked to give it 4 or 5 stars...but unfortunately... The food was okay to good, great green sauce, schnitzel and fried potatoes (relatively greasy) unfortunately from the deep fryer, the chicken breast strips from the sslat unfortunately very pale......would have needed a few more minutes. The food came about 10 minutes after ordering...I wish they put a little more effort into the preparation. This could have been the schnitzel and the fried potatoes from the pan and maybe a few onions on the potatoes Portions were okay and the service was on point, very nice and attentive

A great locality and cider farm. We met here with friends who live around the corner because we wanted to try out the Föhl apple wine and it was just great. A traditional apple wine tavern with friendly service staff, Hessian babble and humor, delicious and simple food. The drinks and food come quickly, you can linger here and drink one or two Ebbelwoi. We liked it so much that we went there two more times in the same week. But you should always make a reservation as the restaurant is busy. We will certainly come back. Thank you very much

Eine tolle Lokalität und Apfelweinwirtschaft. Wir haben uns hier mit Freunden getroffen welche um die Ecke wohnen weil wir den Apfelwein Föhl ausprobieren wollten und es war einfach nur mega. Eine traditionelle Apfelweinwirtschaft mit nettem Servicepersonal, hessischem gebabbel und Humor, leckerem und einfachem Essen. Die Getränke und das essen kommen Flott, man kann hier gut verweilen und den ein oder anderen Ebbelwoi trinken. Wir fanden es so gut, das wir in der gleichen Woche noch zwei weitere Male dort waren. Man sollte aber immer reservieren, da die Wirtschaft gut besucht ist. Wir werden sicherlich wieder kommen. Dankeschön

My husband and I were here for the first time. The food was okay and the cider was really tasty. The service is incredibly bad! When we wanted to pay and my husband wanted to pay with a card, the waiter rolled his eyes. Normally we give a tip in cash, but we saved this after we were rudely and even contemptuously wished for a “nice evening”. I can't recommend this more!
