ANOKI contemporary asian food in München

Although the food was good, the entire experience was utterly ruined by the appalling service. To begin with, the waitstaff was shockingly unaccommodating when I requested a simple dietary adjustment to the lunch menu. I asked to substitute what would have been 3 pieces of raw fish with a vegetable, which should have been a straightforward switch. The waiter begrudgingly agreed to check with the kitchen only after I insisted multiple times, displaying a clear lack of willingness to help. When it came time to pay, the situation deteriorated further. The waitress announced the total and stood there in uncomfortable silence for about 15-20 seconds before rudely demanding to know why there was no tip. I explained my negative experience with the raw fish issue, expecting some understanding or an apology. Instead, she responded with a condescending remark about it being a sushi restaurant, delivered with a smug sneer. The poor service overshadowed what could have been an enjoyable meal. I will not be returning and CANNOT, in good conscience, recommend it to anyone who values decent customer service.

Superb cuisine and excellent service.

A cool, contemporary - and very Munich - Asian place with very good and interesting food. The service could be a tack more sharp but is adequate. The location is super central right beside the opera and the atmo on the outdoor terrace is inspiring. We had a good time.

The staff were terrible, which is a shame. Very inattentive, and when we mentioned that one of us was a vegetarian, she was met with obvious derisive laughter.

I find it unbelievable what I experienced in this restaurant tonight. We ate for about €200, and then this little waitress stood in front of us and told us we had to leave because she needed the table! She was so incredibly rude all evening. I'll never go back to this place. A very nice German waiter came and apologized, then the manager came and just nodded. I can only recommend that everyone avoid this place! Very poor service, bad manners, and the food was just okay, lukewarm. It's also embarrassing to have staff like that. This waitress would be better off cleaning! She'd be better off there.
