Eggs Benedict absolutely overcooked, simply boiled eggs, bread completely crumbled with dryness. Really a disaster for 13 euros. Fortunately we returned it and did not pay. Tea for 6 euros…the kettle holds a maximum of 200mL and I add that…completely out of place. We came during opening hours, when only 3 tables were occupied including us and we waited 40 minutes for our food. On top of that, there were crumbs on the floor as if a pig had eaten there, which I don't understand when we came right in the morning. The table was also not perfectly clean, the mug chipped and dirty from the tea…the dishwasher won't wash this, but it can be done by hand…please, if you want tea for 6 euros, let it look something like that. The owner probably also came for breakfast, and he had food on the table within 5 seconds. Satisfied. He had absolutely no interest in customer satisfaction…too bad, it's a nice place, but it needs more care. I have no problem waiting for food and paying more than elsewhere, but I expect it to be worth it. Disappointing.

Definitely recommended. We had excellent Königsberger Klopse (meatballs). Very friendly service. We were there around 6:30 p.m. According to the waiter, it's a bit quieter in the evening than at lunchtime, so it's perfect if you want to unwind a bit after the hustle and bustle of the day.

First of all, it's really great: delicious food, friendly service, a wonderful atmosphere, and apart from one thing, there's really nothing to complain about. What I didn't like so much is that if you want to pay cashless, a minimum of 5 percent is automatically deducted. There's no option to opt out. Other restaurants have shown that this is possible. Of course, tips are part of the experience, but ultimately, everyone should be able to decide for themselves how much they tip. All in all, it's definitely recommended.

In the very crowded Dresden (Kaisermania weekend), we found a quiet and cool spot at the Café-Restaurant Anna. We enjoyed not only the tea but also the cake. The decor is very minimalist, yet harmonious. The tables aren't crowded together, but are comfortably spaced apart. The only thing that causes some grumbling is the fact that a slice of strawberry cake is quite expensive at €6.90. But unfortunately, restaurant prices are exorbitantly high everywhere. Who knows how long we'll be able to afford it.

Beautiful ambience in the courtyard of the Residenzschloss

Very beautiful spacious restaurant both inside and on the terrace. The terrace is inside the castle yard and it’s gorgeous. Great option with a child as there is a giant chess game in the yard and overall lots of space to play. They have a high chair. The service was good and friendly, the dog got a water bowl. The food was only okay and fairly expensive, but we did like the overall experience.

There were four of us there, and we ordered two iced coffees, one café crema, and a cappuccino. The café crema lost its crema on the way from the counter to the outside, and the cappuccino lost its warmth. The conditions were unreasonable and told us not to act like a petulant child... At the time of our visit, there were about 20 customers outside, but no customers inside, but at least three conditions. For me, once and never again.

Der hausgemachte Eistee war ein Witz. Früchtetee mit Eiswürfeln und einer Scheibe Zitrone für 5,80€. Echte Abzocke! Die Kuchen waren lecker, allerdings sind die Preise schon Wahnsinn. 4,60€ das günstigste Stück, Größe sieht man auf dem Foto. Ambiente ist gemütlich, man kann hier gut verweilen. Mitten in der Altstadt gelegen und unmittelbar neben dem Museum.

We had breakfast at Anna in Dresden this morning – a truly relaxing place! The atmosphere was relaxed, with chilled music and lovely decor. The eggs Benedict on homemade bread was excellent – a real highlight! The hearty breakfast was also prepared with lots of love. A lovely place to start the day and simply unwind. Highly recommended!

Vi spiste aftensmad her, og bestilte hhv. Salat med falafel og Wienerschnitzel. Alt var godt og velsmagende, og i passende portioner. Flink betjening, men lidt høje priser. Fin og rolig beliggenhed inde i slotsgården. Alt i alt ikke noget at klage over, men heller ikke noget at prale af.

The atmosphere is inviting and charming, making the stay very pleasant. Unfortunately, I discovered that they didn't offer decaf coffee or a vegan cake alternative. This was a real shame, as I was looking forward to a little sweet treat. Ultimately, I opted for a refreshing fruit juice spritzer, which, while delicious, didn't quite complete the experience I would have hoped for. Despite this disappointment, Café Anna is a lovely place to relax and enjoy the surroundings. I hope to see more options for coffee lovers and vegans in the future!

The café is quietly located in the castle courtyard, amidst the hustle and bustle. Its atmosphere is wonderful, its staff is incredibly friendly, and its delicious desserts are delicious. Anna's lemonade is also highly recommended. Of course, the location is somewhat noticeable in the bill, but it's definitely not overpriced.

A little expensive, but that was to be expected at a Tourist targeted restaurant in a beautiful German castle. The coffee sizes were American portioned, and the prices passed well here. I had the quarkkeulchen with apple sauce and vanilla ice cream as a midday brunch and it was presented well and tasted delicious. I wouldn’t go out of my way to bring a guest here for lunch, but as a tourist looking for a quick lunch and a place to sit directly at the castle before going on a tour, this was good choice. The staff were very friendly, attentive, and although I was solo, made sure I was taken care of. Of note: the menu was short but had great variety.

I love Anna im Schloss because they always serve delicious dishes made with fresh ingredients. Although it's a bit sad that the menu changes with the season, the new dishes are always tasty. Their cakes and drinks are also absolutely amazing. Every time I eat food, the ingredients are fresh and the taste is good! The desserts and drinks are also delicious, so it's a good place to take a break during the tour.

The ambiance is very pleasant, and the location in the castle is certainly impressive. If you have visitors or are planning a business lunch, you can definitely do that. The service is also absolutely excellent. The staff are very pleasant, attentive, and friendly. I also liked the menu. Interesting dishes, clearly laid out, and a good selection. There's something for everyone. The dishes also look very good on the plate. However, the taste of the food didn't match the price. It's not bad, but it's not good enough to warrant a return visit. Furthermore, it's quite noisy. This is probably due to the vaulted ceiling. However, if you sit in one of the many corners, you can still easily have a conversation.

Went to the restaurant just because of the Eierschecke and were not disappointed. The egg pie with chocolate coating wasn't really our thing as it was too sweet. But the normal egg pie was very tasty. Would come by again at any time.

Homemade like almost everything you write? Scrambled eggs look suspiciously like Tetra, the hollandaise sauce for the poached egg wasn't homemade either, etc.. ?Your food used to be very good, but it's going down a lot, and the staff also seems overwhelmed and stressed in some cases, in my opinion, even though there's always little going on. Which ham from Senfter is on your snack plate? Branded bacon, Black Forest or or or. Senfter is a company and not a product. It's a shame it was different.

Today, after our visit to the Residenzschloss and the not so nice weather, we stopped by here and enjoyed the very tasty egg pie and the latte/coffee with milk in the beautiful ambience and very friendly service! Thanks for that!

Unfriendly and even impolite. Cannot say anything about food, because in the end I wasn’t able to try it. I hoped to try one cake that was advertised outside, but I had a train very soon. So I hoped to take it away and leave. The restaurant was open at 12, but still not ready. Therefore, when I approached a waitress, she got annoyed and asked me to wait at the table. Then she complained about it to her colleague. When she finally came, I went to the toilet, so she got annoyed again and discussed it with her colleague, so my mom could see it. I decided that I don’t want to try their cake anymore 😄

No matter whether it's during the cooking star lessons, before a visit to the Semper Opera, for an after-work drink or lunch: I can only say nothing positive about Anna. A little hidden in the castle courtyard, the beautiful ambience and, above all, varied and delicious food with great service attract you. Puts the otherwise largely overpriced restaurants in the old town in the shade.

We have been there several times and have always been welcomed with the same high standard. Friendly staff who responded to special requests wherever possible. The food is good and the price is appropriate for the location. Of course the castle speaks for itself. We will be happy to come back. There are enough vegetarian options.

However, the first course, rice paper, wasn't particularly special. The quail in a Christmas-style setting took some getting used to, although the craftsmanship was well done. Overall, 4/5. The service was nice and friendly, but I would have liked more enthusiasm in the presentation of the courses. I don't like the ambiance of the restaurant. It's very open and soundproof, not really inviting to linger.

After visiting the great special exhibition “FAIT À PARIS” in the Residenzschloss Dresden, we accidentally became aware of the restaurant “Anna im Schloss”. We were spoiled with culinary delights and excellent service. A big thank you to the service team! We felt very comfortable and would be happy to come back on our next visit to Dresden!

Can't recommend restaurant. Today we were ignored as guests because after almost half an hour there was still no waitress, even though the neighboring table was cashed when we arrived. The staff didn't even notice us leaving.

Its a real tourist trap!!!! with all that belongs to it: the worst service in whole Germay, with the most unpleasant waiteress i met in my whole trip, outrageous prices and disgusting food. I highly recommend avoiding this place - specially because there are many really nice cafes around the Schloss. Any of them is better than this real tourist trap!

We had booked for 31.12.24 and despite our delay of almost 1.30 we were welcomed with a lot of warm kindness! Excellent, delicious meal in a very good atmosphere and the smile and professionalism of the whole team! The premises are very beautiful and for New Year's Eve a beautiful festive decoration, but without excess! We enjoyed this evening so much and came back the next day for dinner. Not to be missed during your stay in Dresden!

I had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant. We ordered only one portion of fried pork, but the server brought two. When I tried to explain that we only ordered one, the server insisted, with a very firm and unpleasant attitude, that we had ordered two portions. To avoid unnecessary trouble, we reluctantly accepted it. However, during the meal, I came across a one-star review mentioning a similar incident—another customer, a foreign tourist, ordered one drink but was served two, involving the same server. I cannot tolerate this kind of service and behavior. Deliberately adding items to customers’ orders feels dishonest and offensive. In the end, I feel angry and only paid 29 euros for one pork chop, which I believe is overpriced. I strongly do not recommend this restaurant, especially if you are a tourist. Beware of being "accidentally" served more than you ordered. Such practices are both unprofessional and unethical. I hope others do not have to endure the same experience as I did.

All the dishes looked amazing. Tasted ok, looked way better. Servers didn’t pay attention to us. We had to find them for anything we needed them.

Selection of food is small - just like the food itself (mini baked potato). For a total bill of €150, a glass of water will be charged extra at €1.50. When checking the invoice (only handed out upon request) it was found that the bottle of wine was charged at €39 instead of €29. When a complaint was made, after a long look, €10 was returned - without an apology!

The food was excellent and offered exceptional taste experiences, even with a more "down-to-earth" dish like Königsberger Klopsen - the best I have ever eaten! Hello everyone, Because of the rain, we spontaneously stopped by Anna's house. The location directly in the courtyard of the castle is really nice and the furnishings are also beautifully simple and modern, which harmonizes well with the architecture. The drink ordering worked well and smoothly. So why the point deductions? Unfortunately, the special requests were not addressed. Due to a special diet, we are not allowed to consume sugar. On the other hand, the advice given was simply incorrect, which led to precisely this not being adhered to. After openly constructive criticism of the waiter, a dessert was brought (notably, no sugar). Apart from that, the price-performance ratio did not match. With the open potatoes there was only half a potato. In terms of taste, the food was generally rather sober and therefore disappointing in terms of taste. Nevertheless, everyone should form their own opinion. If you don't have high expectations of food, it's a nice café to linger.

Nice and central place to take a break between 2 visits to the city center. The "Eierschecke" pastry, a Dresden specialty, is excellent and light.

A nice restaurant with young friendly service. Thank you for that! We only had an appetizer and drinks. We would like to try the skin dishes next time. The hot chocolate is definitely worth a try, delicious. And the wine selection is just as good, everything comes to the table perfectly chilled. This, too, is by no means a given in Dresden's gastronomy. We can certainly also recommend what we want to do for dinner. In terms of price, we would consider it upscale, not overpriced. All in all, we can highly recommend the location 👍 cozy atmosphere included.

We were there for lunch. One waitress takes the order, another brings the drinks and another brings the food. The duck breast we ordered was very plain and not even lukewarm. The baked pumpkin was completely overpriced. It was our last visit.

The food was good, but little. We had dessert so we wouldn't go home hungry. The staff could be a little more attentive, we had to wait a long time when we first ordered. (I was about to call reception and point out that we were still waiting in the back corner. My usual tip.) The rooms are decorated remarkably, but somewhat coolly. Also noteworthy: a large Persian in the middle of the dining room, something you rarely see.

"Anna im Schloss" is a chic, high-priced restaurant in the residential palace of Dresden. So far so good. Unfortunately, the service in the restaurant does not have a level that corresponds to the price level. The free tables are cleared very late and the table is only cleared of the leftovers from previous guests after repeated requests. The waiting time until we could order was very long. We were already about to leave when the waitress (finally) came. The waiting time for food (curd cheese with tea latte macchiato) was at least as long. We were not an isolated case. Several guests had less patience than us and left after waiting for a while. The food itself tasted ok, nothing more. Overall, the price-performance ratio doesn't fit at all, even if it is a "tourist restaurant". In any case, we were there for the first and last time.

Sonntags geöffnet bis 18:00 Uhr. Wir waren um 16:40 Uhr im Restaurant und fragten ob die Küche offen ist. Das wurde bejaht und wir gaben unsere Bestellung auf. Um 17:00 Uhr fragten wir bei einem Kellner nach, wo denn unsere Getränke bleiben, wir hätten diese sofort mit dem Essen bestellt. Die Antwort: "Essen geht ja gar nicht, schließlich ist die Küche geschlossen. Ich höre aber mal nach!" 17:15 Uhr: Er kam nicht zurück - keine Getränke - kein Essen und das, obwohl am Nachbartisch noch Essen serviert wurde. Danke für nichts - wir kommen nicht wieder.

Really delicious German cuisine, interpreted in a modern way. The Wienerschnitzel was very well made, with lots of air bubbles and the Königsberger Klopse were also great. Sauce was added upon request and the service was also very friendly. The atmosphere in the old castle is very romantic and the art on the walls is very impressive. Price performance is also great. If you have the option, you should have a drink in the great and impressive courtyard with its magnificent architecture. Inside the restaurant it is modern, simple and cool. Unfortunately, the acoustics in the restaurant are a little noisy, but this is due to the ceilings. The prices are reasonable for the city center and the service was friendly and accommodating. The food came quickly and special requests were received positively. The starter was: mashed potatoes, with truffles and a poached egg, which was cooked to perfection. For the main course we had a new interpretation of spinach dumplings with mushroom cream - absolutely clear recommendation and the selection of mushrooms was very suitable! We also have the Wiener Schnitzel, with lukewarm potato salad - classic, simple and really tasty! All in all, a good and recommendable restaurant.
