Beautiful place for a restaurant. Very good cuisine and a friendly crew

It's quite nice to sit on the Rhine. But that was it. Unfortunately the food wasn't good. Prices far too high for the quality.

Very nice restaurant on the Rhine. You can order tasty snacks or something larger. There are also cakes and coffee. Everything is nicely decorated and yet not overpriced. Service very friendly.

Unfortunately, the food is completely overpriced and not edible (stay away from the salad bowl!). All in all, one of the worse restaurants I've been to this year. Disappointing.

Top location directly on the Rhine. Unfortunately, the prices are totally exorbitant, e.g. 1 currywurst with roll 11.00 euros. We had sausage salad with fresh farmer's bread, I can definitely recommend it. The quantity was okay too. The view of the Rhine is great.

The restaurant is very nicely located. The prices are quite steep for the poor quality of the food. The food is prepared and just warmed up. Unfortunately, the tarte flambée was very soft and loaded with scattered cheese.

Very nice restaurant, right on the Rhine. The gentle breeze was a life saver after a hot day, as was the cold beer and good food. Service is great. Similar to many diners, you order and pay at the counter, get a number, and your food is brought to you. We were a party of 6 for a late evening dinner. They have several beers to choose from as well as a good selection of wine and spritzers. We had checked their online menu, but some things had changed. The food: the flammkuchen was, unfortunately, sold out for the day (but I hear it's delicious). The summer salad had an amazing honey mustard dressing. The bratwurst was flavorful. The only issue was the spaghetti bolognaise was a little dry for our tastes; not enough tomato passata in the meat sauce in my brother's opinion. Overall, we were very satisfied.

The view of the Rhine.👀👍 Drinks and food are ordered "self-service", with the drinks being taken away straight away. The food is served. The dishes are freshly prepared and some are homemade. The sausage. 😋👍👍 The entire price level is adjusted and still affordable for such a great location. 😊😊

The location is very nice. But prices are high and everything is self-service. Spundekäs doesn't come with any bread or rolls, you have to add it for an extra 2.90. Friendliness of the staff is also rather average. Small card.

I sat there today and was ignored. When I asked, I found out that you have to wait in line to order something. However, there were 4 people present who could have served around 20 guests. The faucet in the men's room was broken. There was a notice telling you to wash your hands upstairs. An employee then came in and informed me that it was only for the staff. The location is very nice and I've had a good meal there. I won't go there anymore. Such service and wines for over 6 euros is completely absurd.

Yesterday we were in this restaurant and I waited exactly 35 minutes for two cappuccinos at the self-service drinks counter (you pay in advance at another counter!). When I mentioned this issue at the issue I was greeted with "Boss?" harshly dismissed with the words "that's ok - it just can't get any better". Since I am a service provider myself, I find this appearance remarkable in a negative sense.

Top location, value for money is absolutely excessive despite the location. Food was fine, service was ok.

The restaurant has declined significantly. The chef should be fired in my opinion. The food is no longer what it was. Food is not seasoned, totally over salted and no longer edible. The price-performance ratio is an absolute disgrace. Paying a whopping 14 euros for a bratwurst with inadequate potato salad is embarrassing and completely excessive. A really great staff turned into grumpy people. We will not visit the restaurant again!!!

Located directly on the Rhine, the perfect stop after a walk through the beautiful old town of Eltville or along the towpath from Niederwalluf. Good food and great views over the river landscape. Update 2024: last but not least, the location is also very suitable for private celebrations on selected days, especially in the warm season.

Location! Location! Location! Sitting by the river at Eltville was what we had hoped for to have lunch and that is exactly what we got. The staff was exceptional, especially for a self-serve establishment for drinks and ordering the food, but they were still welcoming, warm, and helpful. The food was good as well, as was evident with the patrons who were there at the time.

Very nicely located restaurant directly on the banks of the Rhine with specialties from the Rheingau, wine gaps and other alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. The large open space with the riverside terrace invites you to linger. The food is good and the prices are reasonable for the waterfront. Unfortunately, only self-service is possible in this restaurant.

We were here for the first time with my grandparents as part of my grandpa's 80th birthday. We came across the restaurant/café by chance and were impressed by the ambience right on the water. The selection of food and drinks is good, unfortunately the staff is less than convincing. The gentleman who works outside was quite unfriendly and gave the impression that he was rather annoyed by his guests - a shame. The lady responsible for coffee and cake inside gave a similar impression, but was at least very helpful and friendly.

Ordered coffee with oat milk, at the end I saw the lumpy, moldy milk at the bottom. Instead of simply replacing my coffee at the bar and apologizing, I had to be told off that I wouldn't be back until I was halfway through drinking it. It's bad when the clumped milk sinks to the bottom and I unfortunately don't realize what I'm drinking until it's too late. Very lousy unprofessional behavior

Self-service with a bit of a wait. You sit very nicely! The food is also ok, but with vegetarian they can go one step further: Stuffed aubergine is not fully thought through, there is no spicy sauce, perhaps something with soy cream so that it is also vegan (without the cheese).

Wir waren auf ein paar Getränke im ‚Anleger 511‘. Die Lage direkt am Rheinufer ist sehr gut und man hat einen tollen Blick. Die Getränke holt man sich selbst was final zu längeren Wartezeiten führen kann. Die Preise sind der Lage entsprechend. Kartenzahlung möglich.

The investor 511 conveys a holiday feeling. The view of the Rhine and the historic buildings quickly make you forget everyday life. The number of dishes is manageable, but of high quality. Once a week there are oysters from Sylt that could hardly be fresher. Otherwise, the bratwurst is an insider tip. Unfortunately, things only get tight for strict vegans.

Great place right on the Rhine, wine prices 👌. But currywurst €10 pretzel €2.70 The currywurst is cheaper right in front of the restaurant. The beautiful view is also included here.

Very nice bar/restaurant with a great view of the Rhine. Food was excellent and exceptional. I had the veal meatball with wild garlic risotto and rowt wine sauce and it was really delicious. My friend had the asparagus stew and it was also excellent. Highly recommended and cozy!

Fantastic selection of drinks and food with an enchanting view of the Rhine.

A charming little place situated on the banks of the Rhine, with indoor and outdoor seating. The menu is simple, but delicious, wholesome and unpretentious. Very pleasant and attentive staff. Others have spoken about how delicious the mustard is, and I can only confirm that it is very special indeed. A lovely place that's well worth visiting.

Chic restaurant right on the banks of the Rhine in Eltville (cycle path leads right past the small "pub") - not far from the rose garden (a visit is also highly recommended). Very inviting atmosphere to have a cool drink, enjoy the sun and watch the ships go by. - The menu also includes a few small snacks as well as a wide selection of drinks and wines.

Were again today at pier 511 in Eltville, as always, very nice atmosphere, great food, very friendly staff 👌 it's always a little vacation from everyday life, you have to go there, I can only warmly recommend it ❤️ if you're in Eltville, keep it up🥰

We didn't eat anything. In my opinion the drinks are too expensive. Wine spritzer 0.33 for €4.90 is quite expensive.

As always when we are in the area it is an experience. The staff is friendly. The drinks/wines are very good. The ambience is great.

Great meeting place right on the Rhine, a few tables inside in the cold season. Went there for a goose dinner on the 2nd of Advent. Great portions and very, very tasty, Ralf and his crew were good hosts.

Bei den eisigen Temperaturen heute war der Linseneintopf genau das richtige. Frisch gekocht, total lecker😋👌. Der Service war sehr nett und aufmerksam👍. Schöne, weihnachtliche Deko🎄🌟✨️.

Der Service nicht übertrieben, aber freundlich und höflich. Wir haben heute nur schnelle Küche probiert und als lecker empfunden. Auch waren keine große Wartezeiten. Das Publikum war sehr angenehm und wir hatten nette, entspannte und lustige Gespräche. Es war in dem Lokal recht frisch, so ein Mittelding zwischen Jacke an u d Jacke aus 😀

Location ist sehr schön. Service so gut wie nicht vorhanden. Essen ist mittleres Systemgastrolevel. Weinauswahl ist gut. Preise (Speisen insbesondere), völlig ungerechtfertigt. Sauberkeit der sanitären Anlagen verbesserungswürdig. Muss man nicht öfter haben.

Sehr schöner Ort, um am Rhein zu sitzen und ein Glas Wein zu genießen. Wer eine Kleinigkeit zum Wein essen möchte, ist hier genau richtig. Wir kommen immer wieder gerne hierher.

Einfach super!!! Direkt am Wasser gelegen, im Außenbereich sind ausreichend Sitzmöglichkeiten gegeben. Die Speisekarte umfasst eine große Weinauswahl sowie verschiedene Speisen für den kleinen oder großen Hunger:-) Für uns gab es diesmal den Federweißer mit Zwiebelkuchen. Sehr lecker! Hier wird nur Selbstbedienung angeboten. Die Speisen werden allerdings zum Platz gebracht.

Tolle Location direkt am Wasser. Selbstbedienung. Vertreiben die eigene Bratwurst und Saucen. Absolut lecker.

Wenn man draußen sitzen kann, macht halt das Ambiente das Lokal aus. Ansonsten, naja, drinnen ist es super laut, das Essen geht auch besser, vorallem die Portionsgröße für den doch sehr stolzen Preis. Das Personal war sehr nett. Zum eben mal sitzen um etwas zu trinken o.k. Aber mehr leider nicht. Schade.

Liebe die Location, die Mitarbeiter sind durchweg super freundlich und aufmerksam, das Essen ist immer sehr gut!

Haben hier etwas getrunken schöner Ausblick , man sitzt sehr schön hier.

Inhaber ist unhöflich und wirkt ungepflegt, sowie die Toiletten als auch der Küchen- und Thekenbereich wirken unsauber und unhygienisch. Entspannen ist so leider nicht möglich.

Einer der schönsten Plätze am Rhein . Ein Glas Wein trinken , eine Kleinigkeit essen und die Seele baumeln 🍷😉 lassen . Und dann den Wellen zu und nachschauen . Es ist schon schön hier .

Ein sehr gemütliches Restaurant direkt am Rhein. Das Essen war super lecker, daß Personal sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Preise sind ganz okay und es ist immer ein Tagesgericht im Angebot. In der Gaststätte ist Selbstbedienung, aber das Essen wird an den Tisch gebracht, also kein Problem für uns. Nach dem Essen gab es noch einen schönen Kaffee, hier kann man die Seele mal baumeln lassen. Wir freuen uns schon auf den nächsten Besuch.

Sehr leckeres Essen in super schönem Ambiente! Beide Speisen haben sehr gut geschmeckt, allerdings fanden wir die Portionen etwas zu klein für den stattlichen Preis, daher nur 4*. Ansonsten war das Ambiente direkt am Rhein sehr angenehm zum sitzen und die Bedienung ging sehr zügig. Die beiden Sorten „longwein“ haben auch ohne Alkohol sehr gut geschmeckt :)

Essen war sehr lecker, aber hochpreisig für doch recht kleine Portionen. Selbstbedienung, Essen wird aber nach Bestellung an den Tisch gebracht. Tolle Weinauswahl. Traumhaftes Ambiente direkt am Wasser. Die Lage muss man im Preis mit bezahlen. Personal sehr freundlich.
