We had our class reunion at Ankh yesterday and were completely satisfied. Great team, delicious food and cocktails. The non-alcoholic cocktails were also excellent. We'll be back.

The Ankh has become a little favorite place for us when we want to go out with guests for something delicious to eat and drink. There's always something for everyone, and it's beautifully decorated. We felt very comfortable, think the ambiance is unique, and are happy that the bookshelves have been preserved! The meal, including a welcome from the kitchen, was truly elaborate and delicious, and the owner served us very friendly. There are only two things missing: the old ankh chocolate with marshmallows ;) and a changing table (sorry if we missed that!).

We were guests at Café Ankh with our wandering group of regular men... due to the cold weather, the small garden was deserted... we thought there was nothing going on there. But inside, it was well-stocked and cozy. Since we usually frequent more rustic establishments with simpler customers, we were a bit "underdressed," as they say in the Czech Republic... But despite our sweatpants, baseball caps, and our dubious upbringing, we were treated and served respectfully and kindly – ​​despite a much more upscale clientele around us. That alone speaks volumes. But the excellent food should also be mentioned... My experienced hop-loving palate tells me that behind the Ankh brew (house brand Helles) lies the locally famous Marx (delicious, but guaranteed to give you a headache). The cozy ambiance and the pleasant sight of the consistently good-looking guests surrounding our little island of cheeky rabble even tempted me to try an Aperol Spritz. This one, too, was not stingy and was another unexpected boost for an unforgettable evening at the regulars' table.

We waited almost an hour for our drink order to be taken, and the food wasn't served for about two hours. It's generally understandable if it takes longer, but it would have been appreciated if the server had at least briefly informed the guests. The meal also lacked the salad that came with the dish. It was also noticeable that all guests in the upstairs room were given nachos with dip beforehand – only our table wasn't offered this, even though we had already had to wait a particularly long time. At the end, we still gave a generous tip, but didn't even receive a "thank you." Overall, the visit was disappointing.

The food and drinks were delicious. Unfortunately, we weren't asked what we wanted until very late, and the children's meal was also served late. It was good that the children's meal at least came quickly. However, it would have made the kids fidgety beforehand, but luckily the waitresses handled it with aplomb and remained friendly. Regular Gouda cheese instead of Parmesan would have been better with the children's pasta. The location itself is very nice.

The new furniture on the terrace is very nice and comfortable! And the interior design remains unmistakably unique! The service was very nice and friendly. We personally found the selection of non-alcoholic cocktails too small, which made the evening shorter than planned. Unfortunately, the food wasn't quite to our taste. The previous owner prioritized the perfection of the food over the mass on the plate, and you can tell the difference in the current dishes. And unfortunately, a kind of balsamic vinegar is used as a garnish on every plate, which doesn't work for some dishes. The lemon sauce is more of a cream sauce, and the broccoli seemed frozen. Unfortunately, the same was true for the "Vegetarian Schnitzel" – whole, deep-fried and breaded cauliflower – the sauce was completely different from what was listed on the menu. Given the prices, you'd expect higher quality food. We nevertheless wish you all the best for the future and a successful summer on the beautiful terrace!

Our waitress was super friendly, attentive and always there at the right time without being intrusive. The restaurant was very busy but she was always attentive. Just the way I want it :) —— It was filled relatively clearly, so the operation was initially quite quick. The atmosphere in the upper area is very pleasant and cozy. The selection of food and drinks was very nice. Both my chai and the chocolate shake were very tasty! Towards the end I felt a bit pressured to order or leave, but I'll leave that aside for now. It definitely depended on the day's form.

Praise for the ambiance, praise for the service. But the chef is a specialist in skin grafting. It's hard to get a wafer-thin schnitzel like that, about 3mm thick. That's pretty daring considering the asking price, and then there's the deep fryer... Never again!

We were invited to dinner and can't share the many positive dining experiences. The schnitzels were made in a deep fryer, which is not possible. The fried potatoes were squeezed potatoes with skin on (not for everyone). The service was very attentive and friendly. That's why there are still three stars

It was extremely cold in the restaurant, not only me, but also most of the other guests were sitting at the table wearing street clothes (thick jacket). Was extremely disappointed with the food. Unpeeled drilling potatoes were sold to me as fried potatoes, which in my opinion was pure label fraud! The schnitzel was nothing special, just soggy meat with no seasoning or taste. In my opinion, the chef needs to go back to school. Until then, the prices should be adjusted to the rather non-existent quality.

At first we waited a little long for our order, but then everything went quickly, whether it was food or drinks, everything worked out great.... Thank you and gladly again. But some things are just not good, the taste is bland. Chunky and somewhat confused undefined garlic soup. The same applies to the tomato soup, even if it tasted a little better if it was slightly spicy. Spiced meat a la Ankh has little to do with spiced meat and is more of a watery goulash soup with a little (three types of) cheese on top. Personally I didn't like it at all and the taste wasn't interesting either. The fish (swordfish) is really juicy and good. Broccoli with the dishes looks nice, but sometimes also very watery and bland, and suggests frozen. Wild burger from the winter menu was actually good and tasty. The game was soft and juicy. Particularly noteworthy is the extensive range of loose tea varieties, which need to be better advertised and explained. We were greeted with a small, delicious greeting from the kitchen, which surprised us very positively. We then ordered the in-house Ankh lemonade, which we definitely have to recommend! For dinner we had the schnitzel with egg and fried potatoes as well as the vegan cabbage roulade. Both were delicious. The fried potatoes were perhaps a little too crispy, but still OK. For dessert there was Sckoko cake with a liquid center and vanilla ice cream. Simply a pleasure! Conclusion: We'll be back! Great ambience with nice service and good cuisine.

The Ankh is an institution in Chemnitz. Luckily, the ambience hasn't changed since the change in ownership - it's still pleasant with all the bookshelves. Unfortunately, the uncomfortable chairs remained. I have to criticize the price-performance ratio of the food: we had Tagliatelle Aglio e Olio. A very simple and quick dish in terms of ingredients. It still costs just under €16, which is steep. The portion was so small that not even I was full, let alone my husband. Too bad. The taste was ok, no explosion. Nevertheless, we were annoyed that we had paid almost €45 for two simple, small pasta plates with a drink for two without being full.

My friend and I had dinner at the ankh restaurant. The reservation was no problem at all. The food and drinks were really good. I find the menu clear and the dishes all sound very tasty. I particularly like the atmosphere at ankh and the service is very friendly. Especially when the weather is nice, you can switch off away from the hustle and bustle of the city center. I could really sit here for hours and relax from everyday life. I don't want to judge the prices because I'm just willing to pay a little more for good food and eating out should still be something special. It was a pleasure ;)

If we were to visit Café Ankh at short notice, we would receive a very friendly and professional welcome. After we got our seat, hunger naturally followed. The service for our table was just as friendly and professional. After the delicious meal, "CHAPEAU TO THE COOKS", where we didn't even have to wait long for the dishes, despite the rush. We briefly visited the bar again, which was also very good service. Short and sweet!!!! We will be back....!!!! That's a fact!!!!
