We visited the Ankh for the third time and were, as before, extremely satisfied. Today we came spontaneously, but were still warmly welcomed and served in a friendly and courteous manner by the waitresses. My friend and I had a wonderful evening at Ankh Restaurant. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, the service warm and attentive. The greetings from the kitchen were fresh and tasty, and the main course was perfectly prepared and a real treat. We were particularly impressed by the creativity of the dishes and the quality of the ingredients. We will be back definitely! We are already looking forward to it!

My friend and I had dinner at the ankh restaurant. The reservation was no problem at all. The food and drinks were really good. I find the menu clear and the dishes all sound very tasty. I particularly like the atmosphere at ankh and the service is very friendly. Especially when the weather is nice, you can switch off away from the hustle and bustle of the city center. I could really sit here for hours and relax from everyday life. I don't want to judge the prices because I'm just willing to pay a little more for good food and eating out should still be something special. It was a pleasure ;)

If we were to visit Café Ankh at short notice, we would receive a very friendly and professional welcome. After we got our seat, hunger naturally followed. The service for our table was just as friendly and professional. After the delicious meal, "CHAPEAU TO THE COOKS", where we didn't even have to wait long for the dishes, despite the rush. We briefly visited the bar again, which was also very good service. Short and sweet!!!! We will be back....!!!! That's a fact!!!!

Very bad service, despite a reservation request, a replacement place was given for alleged group reservations. In addition, discriminatory treatment with regard to female gender and non-German origin with very good appearance. Elderly guests and families accompanied by males are preferred here! The staff is therefore only friendly in such situations! Danger! These experiences were never the case with previous owners. What use is good food if you, as a native of Chemnitz, are excluded from your own society? Unwearable and unprofessional! Thanks for the birthday!

The waitress seemed very inexperienced and asked several times. But everyone there was friendly. The food was mediocre and the prices were quite high. Nice shop, quite OK.

Price-performance is great here! Very good service and nice colleagues. Relaxed atmosphere and the food was amazing! I recommend the Ankh Limo and the vegan bowl with tofu! We will definitely come back regularly. Thank you and best regards to the team.

Beautiful ambience and, despite the street behind the glass front, absolutely quiet and undisturbed. The staff is very friendly and in a good mood and strives to ensure a pleasant visit. The menu is diverse, vegetarian & vegan dishes could be even more represented. Unfortunately, the falafel was out of stock during our visit, which then “eliminated” two other (vegetarian) dishes. The portion size of the tagliatelle was also not quite worthy of a main course, although tasty. And finally, a note about the beer: For me, the "ankh EDEL (Hell)" was a reason for choosing the restaurant because it sounded like it was home-brewed. The fact that in the end it was “just” a simple Astra Hell was unfortunately very disappointing. This should urgently be changed in the map! Luckily there were other delicious beers on tap...

Lovely service, great ambience and soooo soooo delicious food!!

It's a shame - a fine meal could be really beneficial in this pleasant atmosphere. Could. The noodles were soggy, the meal was only served lukewarm, and the onions turned out to be poorly peeled and therefore partially inedible. A pity.

Relaxed atmosphere without attracting attention. Service good but chairs hard. Yes, you can stop here, there are better and worse restaurants in Chemnitz. Good middle range, the price is still acceptable, my food was ok but too oily to be considered “good” (vegetarian tagliatelle), the light beer was quite tasteless. Not my favorite restaurant.

I was here a few years ago, could it be that the plates have grown and the portions have shrunk? Somehow I remembered the food better too. The ambience has remained, every chair is different and also differently uncomfortable.... The design idea is great and very individual. The prices have shot up. Getting a parking space is a real act.

Addendum to our review: We were at the ANKH again and were pleasantly surprised. The food has really improved a lot! Some of it was actually really good. However, the schnitzel still needs improvement. But, you are on the right track! :-) We are regular customers at ankh (20 years) and were really looking forward to the reopening. The ambience was really great. We like it very much. The staff is great too! The new starters are also ok. The greeting from the kitchen is also convincing. What doesn't work at all are the main courses. We've already tried a lot and were now looking forward to the new dishes on the new menu, hoping it would get better. However, we were disappointed again. As an example: had a beef burger with fries for €19.40. It was similar to how a microwaved burger used to be. Ready-made patty, a sweet bun, 2 slices of cucumber and a few slices of tomato + sauce. Conclusion: that was nothing again. With the concept of the store and everything around it, you would expect something “sophisticated”. Like at street food markets or at least something edible. The price was unreasonable for what was on the plate. You really can't go wrong with schnitzel with fried potatoes. Actually. Burnt onions, schnitzel that was falling apart, some of it just consisted of breading, and with the impression of coming out of the deep fryer. We hope things finally get better, otherwise we won't be eating at the ankh anymore. P.s.: We can't understand the reviews saying "fantastic food". Probably refer to the starters. We have already addressed this locally. The service manager handled criticism very well. Big compliments to them again...it's a real shame, the food ruins the rest of the concept...

Very tasty daily menu if you want to have a snack. Very large and good selection of tea, but I didn't like the coffee and should have used tea instead.

The service is attentive and friendly, the ambience outside seems very robust and is definitely not finished yet, inside it is fine, but we used to like the color better. Unfortunately the food wasn't good at all. Maybe there were problems in the kitchen. We had tagliatelle and penne, which were too soft, a greeting from the kitchen (looked like leftover baguette, quite greasy with two boring dips - well thought of - badly done, last came the starter - olives with cheese and honey mustard dressing. It wasn't all that great, but it was expensive. I hope that everything works out and that we were just unlucky. Update 01/10/24 The service was again friendly, open-minded and attentive. The food (this time omelette and vegetable curry) was really tasty and recommended. We'd love to come back!

Unfortunately the ankh has worn off: - the service was ok - Desserts came to the table later as an foreplay - Unfortunately the food was only lukewarm. One had to be returned completely because of this. A pity.

The ambience is really good. Everything is really beautifully and lovingly furnished and you feel really comfortable. BUT!!! It was really very crowded. This suggests ordering in advance. We did that and got a nice table. The drink order was so quick that it was not possible to look at the menu. We had just sat down and were ready to order. Anyone who doesn't know what they want probably looks old. It didn't take long to order the food and if the pace had determined the evening, my review would have been much better. Because the disillusionment came after ordering the food. Long waiting!!! There was a very long wait and two drink orders between placing the food order and being served. In time that was 1.5 hours. The food. The greeting from the kitchen came quickly and was friendly and OK. The homemade nachos left a somewhat interesting impression and some were not baked, while others were so black that it was better not to eat them. It wasn't the best greeting and if the greeting is to become the benchmark for the rest of the food then things will be interesting. The starter was a long time coming. A bit of salad with a few cubes of cheese and olives. Not a highlight in terms of taste but visually well presented. The main courses were visually very well prepared. After 1.5 hours of waiting, the appearance was secondary because we were hungry. And so the impression remained of the greeting from the kitchen and the starter. It was mixed. The fries and potato wedges were not OK. The pasta with salmon was delicious. The burgers were OK but in combination with fries or potato wedges there was too much food on the plate. The schnitzel with fried eggs was exactly that and OK too. The relationship between price and performance is not right here!!! For these prices, the expectation of service and cuisine is significantly higher. This leaves an unpleasant aftertaste at the end of the visit. Conclusion of the visit. The Ankh is nice for drinking and chatting, but I wouldn't eat there again. We've eaten much better at Ankh and were disappointed with yesterday's experience.

Three of us (two adults and a child) ate at ankh between Christmas and New Year. What can you say: We were extremely satisfied. The ambience is great, the service was friendly and quick and the food was excellent. Gladly again, hence 5 stars.

Schon der Empfang herzlich - freundlich, Ambiente sehr gemütlich - Mischung aus modern und leicht rustikal - zum Wohlfühlen, Essen - geschmacklich Oberklasse, toll angerichtet (wir hatten 2 unterschiedliche Vorspeisen und 4 unterschiedliche Hauptgerichte - alles perfekt), Extraknüller - ankh-Limo. Sehr schönes Lokal ! Super Ambiente mit Service, der sich so in überdurchschnittlicher Gastronomie gehört! Keine 100 Gerichte, auf die man ewig warten muss. Nach meiner Erinnerung etwa 10-12 Hauptspeisen, (völlig ausreichend) diese dafür ausgereift. Hatte das Essen nach 16 Minuten auf meinem Platz. Dabei war zusätzlich eine geschlossene Gesellschaft mit 60 Leuten im Lokal. Alles frisch und sehr lecker. Getränke top. Bedienung erkundigt sich regelmäßig, ob man Wünsche hat. Man fühlt sich da wirklich wie ein Gast behandelt 👌🏼Preis-Leistungsverhältnis völlig in Ordnung! Immer wieder gern 💪🏼

Wir sind unendlich froh, dass es eine Neueröffnung gab und wir viele weitere Jahre das leckere Essen und die sagenhaften Cocktails genießen dürfen. Das Personal ist super freundlich, auch bei großem Andrang muss man nicht ewig auf sein Essen warten und die Speisen sind top. Die Teller sind liebevoll gestaltet und die Preis - Leistung stimmt. Ich kann jedem einen Besuch im Ankh empfehlen.

Total empfehlenswert, schickes Restaurant mit toller, gemütlicher Atmosphäre. Das Essen war sehr lecker und schön angerichtet, wir hatten die Penne Salmone und Kartoffelspalten. Die Wartezeit für das Essen war dafür das das Lokal komplett voll war angemessen. Wartezeit auf unsere Cocktails, Knoblauchsuppe und Kartoffelspalten war fast 1,5 Stunden.Das Preis - Leistungsverhältnis steht leider in keiner Relevanz und dann wurde zu guter Letzt auch noch ein falsches Getränk gebracht.Leider überhaupt nicht mehr zu vergleichen mit dem Café Ankh vor der Neueröffnung als ich, sowie meine Freunde noch gerne da waren.

Ich war letztes Wochenende das erste Mal seit vielen Jahren wieder im Ankh und es war wirklich toll. Das Essen war absolut super. Beilagenänderungen haben absolut kein Problem dargestellt und das Personal war mega freundlich. Auch das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis war wirklich absolut in Ordnung bei wirklich guter Qualität. Auch das Ambiente hat mir sehr gut gefallen. Sehr gemütlich eingerichtet, alles sehr stimmig was Deko und Raumgestaltung betrifft. Das Ankh ist auf jeden Fall einen Besuch wert.

Ein schöner Ort zum Essen gehen und verweilen. Freundlichkeit und Qualität des Essen sind Top. Ambiente ebenfalls... wir kommen auf jeden Fall nochmal vorbei. Vielen Dank und weiterhin viel Erfolg.

Ein bezauberndes Restaurant mit einer ansprechenden Einrichtung, höflichem und hilfsbereitem Personal sowie köstlichen Getränken. Die Currywurst war ein kulinarischer Höhepunkt, eine der besten, die ich je probiert habe. Ein rundum gelungener Genuss!

Wir waren früher öfters im Ankh und jetzt nach der Neueröffnung das erste Mal wieder vor Ort. Der Charme und das tolle Ambiente sind geblieben, die Küche mit dem leckeren kreativen Essen leider nicht. Die Speisekarte ist sehr einfach gehalten mit Standardgerichten (Schnitzel, Burger, Pasta, Ofenkartoffel, Currywurst) und somit nichts besonderes mehr. Leider ist die Zubereitung ebenfalls nichts besonderes. Das Schnitzel ist meiner Meinung nach ein Convenience Produkt und für 16,80€ mit Pommes leider viel zu teuer. Das Gemüsecurry war kaum genießbar, da der größte Teil des Gemüses verbrannt und schwarz war, somit ein bitterer Geschmack entstand. Der Reis war zudem total verkocht und viel zu weich. Leider auf ganzer Linie sehr enttäuschend da nützt uns auch kein Dessert aufs Haus etwas. Service soweit gut, allerdings waren wir auch die ersten Gäste und somit noch kein Stress im Laden.

Gemütlich, lecker und sehr charmanter Service. Hingehen und wohlfühlen. Empfehlenswert.

Wir waren nach der Wiedereröffnung das erste mal wieder im Cafe ankh, es war sehr schön, netter und freundlicher Service, alles wurde in einer angemessenen Zeit serviert. Das Essen sensationell. Auch das kleine Missverständnis wurde professionell geklärt. Wir kommen gern wieder. Es war ein schöner Abend.

Wir haben das "ankh" nach seiner Neueröffnung an einem Samstag Abend besucht. Sicherheitshalber haben wir vorbestellt, was jedoch zu diesem Zeitpunkt nicht unbedingt notwendig gewesen wäre. Für uns war ein schöner Tisch im Freien reserviert. Nachdem der Regen einsetzt hat, war ein Umzug in die Räumlichkeiten des Restaurants problemlos möglich. Der Gastraum erstreckt sich über 2 Etagen, wobei das obere Geschoss galerieartig um einen Luftraum gruppiert ist und somit eine großzügige Athmosphäre vermittelt. Die Einrichtung ist schlicht, aber dennoch rustikal und sehr gemütlich. Die tolle historische Architektur, die Ausstattung und die Beleuchtung sind stilvoll aufeinander abgestimmt. Das Personal war stets aufmerksam, freundlich und unaufdringlich. Man hat sich sehr willkommen gefühlt. Das Essen hat uns hervorragend geschmeckt und war liebevoll angerichtet. In der nicht zu großen Speisekarte konnte jeder etwas passendes finden, auch Liebhaber vegetarischer Kost. Sonderwünsche bei der Bestellung wurden gerne erfüllt. Das Essen kam frisch und mit "genau richtiger" Wartezeit auf den Tisch. Es war ein toller Abend, bei dem wir uns rundherum wohl gefühlt haben. Dafür unser Dank an das Team vor und hinter dem Tresen. Schön, dass es das Ankh wieder gibt. Hatten online reserviert. Tolle Location. Sehr nettes und aufmerksames Personal. Man kann schön draußen sitzen. Gruß des Hauses - knuspriges Brot mit 2 Dips. Vorspeise: Kartoffelspalten mit Käse und Dips - waren ganz in Ordnung, hätte ich aber nicht bestellt, wenn ich gewusst hätte, welcher Gruß des Hauses gereicht wird ;-) Bei der Hauptspeise (Nudeln) gab es Luft nach oben- nach unserem Hinweis gab es ohne Probleme einen zweiten, besseren Versuch und einen Kaffee bzw. Dessert aufs Haus. Finde es toll, wenn man mit Kritik so gut umgeht. Insgesamt: Küche kann sich noch verbessern, der Rest passt bereits sehr gut.

Wir waren heute zu unserem Hochzeitstag hier. Der Tisch war mit Rosenblättern geschmückt und wir haben Glückwünsche von unserer Bedienung bekommen. Wir wurden nicht nur kulinarisch verwöhnt sondern waren auch vom Service sehr angetan. Sehr zu empfehlen- nicht nur ein Gaumenschmaus, sondern auch eine Auszeit vom Alltag in tollem Ambiente mit hervorragendem Service. Vielen lieben Dank nochmal an das ganze Team von Ankh. Super tolles Ambiente, sehr leckeres Essen, gute Auswahl! Samstags muss vorbestellt werden! Leider mussten wir relativ lange warten, auf Getränke, essen etc. Wenn dies sich etwas bessert, gibt es selbstverständlich 5 Sterne 🙏🏻

Absolut schönes Restaurant 🤌🏼 tolles Ambiente. Das Personal ist super freundlich und das Essen ein Gaumenschmaus. Definitiv mit auf meiner Favouritenliste in Chemnitz 🤍 bis bald wieder 🤍
