We often ate here, it was always delicious. Yesterday we decided to eat there again, it was always delicious. We found out in the evening that there was a new owner. We were really looking forward to the meal: schnitzel with fries, and there was a small salad on the side. The schnitzel wasn't pan-fried and tasted strange; the meat was very dark. I added lemon juice to try and get rid of the odd taste. My partner had the same meal, schnitzel with fries, and wasn't impressed either. We both got stomach aches and nausea that evening; our stomachs were really upset. I will never eat there again. The schnitzel was pressed meat and not pan-fried...

Nice restaurant located right on the Weser beach in Oberhammerwarden. The music was a bit inconsistent, and the ice cream with hot cherries was just ice cream with cold cherries. But a very pleasant atmosphere and a beautiful view

We've eaten at the new owners' place several times now. Most recently, yesterday, with some friends. The food was simply excellent, and all the drinks were top-notch. The service was absolutely professional and prompt. The entire anchorage appeared perfectly clean and tidy. Today we met there again for breakfast. Even the breakfast buffet was simply fantastic. A huge selection, freshly baked rolls, and plenty of coffee. We spontaneously arranged to meet up with the group at the anchorage again next year. Keep it up - 5 stars+

We celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary there yesterday with lots of people. The food (brunch) was very varied and, above all, excellent. Everyone was thrilled. The service left nothing to be desired. The atmosphere is so wonderful there with the view of the water. The terrace is perfectly sheltered from the wind. All in all, it was a dream come true. We haven't had such a beautiful day in a long time.

Hello, we ate at Ankerplatz today. Unfortunately, the service was very poor. The staff walked through the restaurant wearing rubber gloves after cleaning the restrooms. I had a Mediterranean pizza, which was supposed to be garnished with arugula, but unfortunately, they only served mixed salad on the pizza. My partner had pasta with pork fillet. This couldn't be found, so they replaced it with plain pork. All in all, for €50, I'm not recommending it. We also had two non-alcoholic wheat beers. The decor, as usual, was nice.

We were there last night. Unfortunately, it was very disappointing 😏. We were told that due to a power outage, it would take longer and not all dishes could be cooked. We understood that, of course. But that our order wasn't taken, unfortunately, was not the case. We left after 40 minutes. It's a shame, the atmosphere is great. Perhaps a little tip could be to take all orders first. Maybe a small shot on the house ☺️. Even if the team isn't quite up to scratch yet, nice little gestures are always appreciated.

The food was delicious, and we arrived five minutes before the kitchen closed and were treated to a hot meal. Dogs are also welcome.

When we arrived, we were quickly greeted in a very friendly manner and allowed to choose a seat. The restaurant was quite quiet, and it felt like we were halfway there. We ordered two pizzas and a chicken nugget, which arrived in less than 15 minutes. The food was good. The pizza dough was fluffy around the edges and still thin in the middle. A good mix of cheese and sauce, not too much, but not too little. The chicken nuggets were very tasty and plentiful. There were seven of them. A good portion of fries was also included. With a bottle of water for three, we even walked out of the restaurant for only around €40. In summary, very good value for good quality. Nice and quiet atmosphere. Definitely worth a visit.

Unfortunately, we were very disappointed with the plum cake with cream. The cake was very cold, not to say icy. The flavor was completely lost. (We were offered to "warm up" the cake, though.) The "cream" was frothed milk, which tasted exactly like that. The coffee was hot, which was very pleasing. The service was excellent and friendly, but we were and still are a little disappointed. It's really hard to get a good coffee and a piece of cake on a Sunday afternoon here in the area around Brake, Elsfleth, and Ovelgönne. Maybe we'll be able to do it another time.

Unfortunately, the new owner is a total disappointment. As mentioned in another review, there are plenty of staff but no service. You wait forever for an order to be taken, and then wait forever for anything to arrive. The menu isn't appealing; you can get these dishes anywhere. The great atmosphere can't make up for that. The cake, by the way, looked like it came from a supermarket bakery and was definitely not homemade.

Unfortunately, the food wasn't that great. The schnitzel was extremely thin and the sauce wasn't well seasoned. The pizza was completely soggy. Unfortunately, I wouldn't recommend it. We waited an hour and a half for our food. Drinks were only served at the beginning, and then for the next hour and a half, our table was ignored. Right from the start, we were criticized for not having a reservation, and we were immediately told there would be a long wait. Anyway, we won't be coming back. It's a shame, because the atmosphere was very nice.

I was at Ankerplatz with a friend on Saturday evening. It was quite crowded! But the service was quick and friendly, and there were no long waits for drinks or food. Very pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. And what I personally really liked was that the pizza was handmade, not a pan pizza, and it wasn't dripping with grease like you're used to elsewhere. I have to say, it's clean, fast, and the staff is friendly, and it's just perfect. See for yourself!

Only the restaurant's location deserves 5 stars. The food was hot and filling, the drinks ordered were brought incorrectly several times, and the wrong bill was presented upon payment. The professionalism of the staff was abysmal, and I haven't experienced anything like it in any other restaurant.

A very nice restaurant with a large terrace overlooking the Weser River. The food (we had the burger, the tapas platter, and the chocolate soufflé) was delicious and beautifully presented. The wine and draft wheat beer were also excellent. The service was attentive and friendly. We would love to come back and thank you again for a wonderful evening!

Five of us went there for dinner. Unfortunately, one of the drinks we ordered was forgotten. They weren't surprised that five people only ordered four, so they didn't notice until we asked. Then, an ingredient was forgotten in one dish, even though the dish didn't have many ingredients. Unfortunately, it was only rectified upon request. Not to mention that we waited almost an hour for our food. Initially, someone came for the first time after 10 minutes and asked if we needed any more drinks. At that point, we were still being served. Unfortunately, no one came to ask after that. All in all, it must be said that it was very poorly organized, even though the place was quite busy, but not extremely crowded. We actually knew it differently and were quite shocked. The stars are for the food itself, which was very delicious.

We were at Ankerplatz again on Sunday. The weather was nice, the Ankerplatz was moderately busy, and we quickly found a spot for two on the terrace! The staff was busily running back and forth, tables were being cleared, and orders were being taken at the other end of the terrace! There was still used dishes on our table, which we had already placed on the edge of the table! The staff were still busily running back and forth! When their eyes caught ours, I raised my hand to signal that I wanted to place an order! The waitress disappeared inside the building! Three waitresses were still busily running back and forth! Clearing tables, going into the shop with a half-full tray, leaving with an empty one, not a glance in the direction where we and the other guests were waiting! Even when we were finally served on our half of the terrace, cake was brought to a table, with no attention to the guests still waiting! After 15-20 minutes of ignorance, we decided to leave! It's a shame. We've always enjoyed staying at Ankerplatz, but we definitely won't be coming back on weekends when the staff is unmotivated! Today, we don't get a single star in any category!

Today we waited half an hour to order, and then another half hour for two ice creams and two coffees to be served. The ice cream was mediocre, the ingredients didn't match the pictures on the menu, and a fruit cup consisted of a chopped apple and about two scoops of ice cream. All neighboring tables were served with similarly careless service. Such highly unprofessional treatment of guests is punished here in the country by customers staying away. We will do just that.

July 10, 2025 Change of operator and everything is fine again :) After not eating at the Ankerplatz restaurant for the past year due to various personal reasons, we've now returned after the recent change of operator. We had previously made a reservation online. The service was friendly and attentive. The food was excellent. Thank you :) We had: Patata Bravas to start; Pizza Español and the Salmon Bowl for main course. My palate was delighted by the chocolate soufflé to finish. Everything was delicious and completely exceeded our expectations. We're particularly critical of pizza. The crust was thin and appropriately topped. The salmon bowl was freshly prepared, and the temperatures of the individual ingredients were adjusted accordingly, so nothing was soggy. Ad's chocolate soufflé was heavenly with a soft center, served with fresh pistachio ice cream and a mousse. December 25, 2021 We regularly eat at Ankerplatz and have never been disappointed. Christmas dinner at Ankerplatz From the salad to dessert, everything was simply perfect. Thanks to Anna and her magical team and the fabulous chefs 🤩 September 13, 2021 The wait for a table after the first wave since opening was worth it, and we were not disappointed :) There's sure to be something for everyone on the menu, and no one goes home hungry. On my plate was "sous vide cooked cod with lemon foam, dill chips, steamed celery, and beetroot puree." When served, the importance of sous vide cooking at 53°C was emphasized again, and that the food wasn't, as one might normally expect, piping hot on the plate. My husband had the catch of the day – a duet of pike-perch and sea bass wrapped in bacon with crab sauce, potatoes, and small vegetables. For dessert, we had the orange crème brûlée and Cup Denmark. The portions were appropriate for us, including dessert – big eaters might need some room in their stomachs afterward ;) All in all, it was very delicious and presented with attention to detail. The service was friendly and always present. We would be happy to come back and feast on the menu. September 23, 2021 And today, too, everything was to our complete satisfaction. Satisfaction. We had the Snirtje roast and the Halloumi burger served to us 😊 To round things off, I had the orange crème brûlée 🤩

So, the offerings and the view are certainly appealing, but we were there in the afternoon and wanted ice cream and waffles. Well, the waffle for around €10 wasn't that good; the cherries were full of pits, and the ice cream tasted like the cheapest ice cream from the supermarket. The sundaes are ridiculous for the price. Ordering the scoops individually + whipped cream is cheaper, and you get the same thing. The service didn't write anything down, which led to one of the two orders being incorrect! So, in conclusion, we won't be back! Thanks for the owner's response: no, we didn't confirm that everything was OK, and we didn't leave a tip! But anyway, good luck with your business.

We arrived, hooray! Plenty of space on the terrace with a view of the Weser. A quick break for a drink, then we moved on. After 20 minutes, we were noticed, and 10 minutes later, the drinks arrived incorrectly. We started talking to our tablemates about the lack of competence. Some left again because it wasn't even possible to serve, say, two scoops of ice cream in 30 minutes. Nice place, but unfortunately, the lack of competence.

You really have to have plenty of time. After ordering an Aperol Spritz and a Radler, the waitress came three more times and asked what we had ordered. She had already written it down for the first order. Of course, the answers weren't quite as relaxed the second and third time we asked. By the time the drinks arrived an hour later, my thirst had already turned to frustration. When I was asked if I was satisfied, my negative answer was explained by a lack of staff. It wasn't particularly busy, though. The waitress could have served four guests in that time. Oh well, good staff and all... Unfortunately, we weren't the only ones who felt that way. So, a quick tip: If you really want to get drunk, buy alcohol and sit on the beach. Otherwise, it probably won't work.

It's a pleasant place to spend time, unfortunately, that used to be the case... Addendum from May 17, 2025: After ordering, it took a long time for our drinks to be served on chipped dishes (saucers). My coffee was lukewarm, as was my wife's latte. There were inconsistencies in the ordering and payment at the neighboring table, which were then passed on to us: €20.80 for two coffees! The server wasn't even embarrassed when I pointed out the overpriced bill. Unfortunately, professional interaction with guests doesn't look like that. It's a shame, really, because the entire establishment stands or falls on it.

A spontaneous visit for two that was unfortunately below average. The restaurant itself is nicely decorated, but the outdoor area is not yet fully prepared for the summer season. We quickly decided on 2 beers, a Martini Bianco and the vegetarian halloumi burger with fries and mayo. When asked whether it was also possible to get pickled cucumber on the burger instead of the fresh cucumber mentioned on the menu, the waiter said she would ask in the kitchen, but the tone sounded highly questionable as to whether this wish could be fulfilled. While we were waiting for our order, there were complaints at the next table because apparently one dish ordered by several people was completely forgotten by the kitchen. Likewise, pretty much all the cutlery boxes that were on the tables were empty, so guests had to laboriously collect their cutlery from other tables. When the waitress came to us with the drinks, it was clear from her look that she had to put us off somehow. We were told they didn't have the martini we ordered. So this wish remained unfulfilled. The plates with the burgers were brought quite promptly. However, instead of the mayo we ordered, we both got ketchup. When I asked at the counter they said that unfortunately Mayo was no longer there. No alternative was offered either. Aioli and BBQ mayo were only given out when asked again. Just like the ketchup that had already been delivered, neither made a very fresh impression. The ketchup was already partially dried on the bowl. The taste of the burger was okay, but the apparently only half-heartedly prepared plate (smeared sauce residue on the edge) didn't make the whole thing any better. While we were eating, the next guests at the next table were put off because a dish that was on the menu was unfortunately no longer in stock. The store has potential, the location is nice, but unfortunately there doesn't seem to be any proper planning when it comes to stock levels. I'm very sure we weren't the first guests to ask for mayo that day. Still, we weren't told outright that there weren't any. The visit was marked by half-hearted apologies to us and many other guests. A return visit is therefore not planned any time soon.

A very nice place, super friendly staff! Children and dogs are also welcome here! There is a beautiful, well-kept and softly padded changing table and even a children's play area! The food was also super delicious! I only have to deduct one point because the burger bun was cold. But that didn't detract from the taste and there was really a lot going on. So everything is good. We'd love to come back!!

Food ok. I'm really at a loss for words about the service. At least I've never experienced anything more unprofessional. Not enough cutlery, a napkin (there were five of us) you had to ask for everything. Wrong drinks, missing side dishes. Espresso was served in a really dirty cup/saucer, when I pointed this out a new espresso was brought to me without comment, with the same dirty saucer but at least a new cup. Even with the wrong drinks... no excuses, nothing. It wasn't our first negative experience there. It's a real shame, great location, everything inside is very warmly decorated. Potential without end.

Actually, we like to come to you for dinner. Never had anything to complain about but today I was totally disappointed. We were there with 5 people. My daughter, who was with us for dinner today, is a vegetarian. Unfortunately, the burger that offered the vegetarian version had some ingredients on it that she didn't like. When we asked whether it would be possible to get another burger with a vegetarian patty (instead of a meat patty), we were told that this was not possible because the kitchen would not accommodate special requests if it was too full. ??? I wonder what kind of effort the "special request" would have taken to change a different burger to vegetarian instead of a meat patty? You don't have to understand everything but I didn't understand that. A little bit of accommodation wouldn't have hurt anyone and my daughter wouldn't have just eaten chips and salad. I would have liked to leave again but this was embarrassing for my daughter. 😔 Sad

Unfortunately we couldn't judge the food. When we arrived, food was ordered at the next table. When we were finally served after almost 15 minutes and wanted to order food, we were told that the kitchen was closed. And that during the “normal” meal time before 2 p.m. Even customers who came after us were served before us and also got their food. One should actually assume that every customer is important in the catering industry these days. This does not appear to be the case here.

Unfortunately, it doesn't get a zero star rating. The boss is totally arrogant.

We were on the Weser today to enjoy the good weather with our newborn son and were thirsty for coffee and hungry for cake. The service was very good!! Latte macchiato, capuccino and 2 pieces of cake for just under €16!! We will definitely visit again!!

My colleague and I were here after work. Even though it was already around eight o'clock we were able to order something to eat without any problems. The portions were more than sufficient and really well prepared. I haven't had a burger this good in a long time. The waitress and the cook were both very nice and in a good mood, which isn't always the case. When the weather is better again you can sit outside on the terrace, from which you have a good view. But the restaurant itself is also very nicely decorated, you can definitely spend the evening there. The restaurant is clearly recommended, if I didn't live so far away I would be a guest more often.

A friendly welcome and competent hospitality will put you in a good mood, even if you didn't bring any with you. We would happily make it our second living room if it weren't for the six hour drive. The ambience of the restaurant is quite appealing - when you look around you come across many humorous signs and pictures that create a pleasant atmosphere. Overall, the staff was quite friendly, but it was clear that they were overwhelmed. Unfortunately, the drinks, especially the Aperol, left a lot to be desired. They were served without ice, without decoration and even warm - which significantly reduced the enjoyment. The food wasn't convincing either. The currywurst was deep fried and had a very soft, unpleasant consistency. The western fries were far too over-seasoned, and the salad was accompanied by a watery dressing that had hardly any flavor. Although the menu indicates additives and allergens, there is no overview of exactly which ingredients are affected. We were also dissatisfied with the food delivery: mayonnaise was missing from one dish and feta cheese was not included in the other. In addition, no cutlery was brought to us, which we only received after requesting it. Even after the glasses were empty, we weren't asked if we wanted anything else. We only finished half of the food and decided to leave after paying. When we checked out we were not asked about the food and there was an error in the bill - the drinks and a portion of fries were not accounted for. Overall it was a disappointing visit as both the service and the quality of the food fell well short of expectations.

An absolute favorite restaurant – our second home for years! We have been visiting the Elsfleth anchorage regularly for over four years and we are thrilled every time. This restaurant is much more than just a place to eat - it is a place to feel good, enjoy and create memories. Our wedding, which we celebrated here, was particularly unforgettable. The loving design, the friendly team and the fantastic food made this day perfect for us. Speaking of food – our absolute favorite dish is the mushroom cream schnitzel with fried potatoes. A culinary delight that you simply have to try! The quality of the food is always excellent, the portions are generous, and the taste is simply unbeatable. Added to this is the attentive and friendly service that welcomes us every time and makes us feel like valued guests. The atmosphere is cozy and invites you to linger - whether for a romantic dinner, a meeting with friends or a larger celebration. The Elsfleth anchorage is a place full of wonderful memories for us, and we look forward to many more visits! Unreservedly recommended!

I visit the anchorage several times a week. For me, every visit is a bit like a vacation from everyday life. No matter whether indoors. Or outside, everything is lovingly designed, bears Anna's signature and invites you to linger and come back. No matter whether it's coffee, cake, biscuits or warm dishes... simply good. Thank you Anna for your effort and passion. Your anchorage is a ray of hope in the rather drab gastronomic landscape in the area.

A real highlight in Elsfleth! We have been regular guests at Ankerplatz since 2020 - and for good reason! The atmosphere is simply unbeatable: maritime, cozy and designed with a lot of heart. But the real highlight is the team, which not only offers excellent service, but also ensures the best entertainment. You feel welcome here from the first moment. And then the cheesecake – an absolute dream! Anyone who has tried it once will always come back. Whether for a cozy coffee, a delicious meal or simply a great evening with friends - the anchorage is the perfect address. Five stars are actually not enough! We look forward to many more visits.

As a group/family we were turned away at the door, even though we would have loved to sit together at a table that was perhaps a little too small. The table was not reserved even when asked. Attention, service is unfortunately not very important here.

Very nice restaurant with extremely friendly staff and owners! The only thing that bothers me is the lack of cream cheese without herbs at breakfast. Otherwise there is everything your heart desires. From different types of cold cuts and cheese to smoked salmon, Nutella honey, jam, peanut butter spread, herring salad, egg salad, fruit salad, quark, muesli, and various juices, everything is there! And of course the sensational scrambled eggs 😍. It's definitely worth a visit; not just to enjoy the unique view of the Weser...

Really a wonderful restaurant with very, very friendly and open-minded service. Everything was very relaxed and the little touches made your time sweeter. Really highly recommended!
