Ankergarten in Zellingen

Der Ankergarten ist ideal für einen Biergartenbesuch mit kleinen Kindern. Der Spielplatz mit Schaukel, Sandkasten, Wippe liegt hinten im Eck, so dass man die Kleinen gut im Blick hat und niemand unbemerkt "türmen" kann 😉. Einen Wickeltisch gibt es leider nicht, aber das Gelände bietet genügend ruhigere Ecken, um mal eben flott die Windel zu wechseln. Essen und vor allem Getränke sind natürlich auch spitze und das Personal sehr freundlich. Fazit: Tolle Location mit einem super Konzept! Kommen gerne wieder.

Vielleicht waren meine Erwartungen zu hoch nachdem ich in der Speisekarte ein paar vegane Gerichte fand. Bestellt hatte ich eine vegane Bratwurst mit Kartoffelsalat. Ich bekam eine Currywurst mit Kartoffelsalat mit Schweinefleisch Stücken. Die Wurst war ok, das mit dem Salat war natürlich ungünstig. Ich hatte sehr viel Glück, dass ich kein Fleischstück erwischt habe, bis mein Mann mich daraufhin wies. Zum Glück haben sich im Service alle entschuldigt, der Chef auch und ich bekam mein Geld zurück. Eventuell geb ich dem ganzen nochmal eine Chance an einem anderen Tag.

Wirklich sehr schöner Biergarten, gute Stimmung, leckeres Essen/Bier und faire Preise.

Meine Frau und ich waren vollkommen zufrieden mit dem Ankergarten ,sehr schöne Location und nettes Ambiente, die Angestellten waren sehr freundlich und haben alles super gemeistert ,das Essen war für uns sehr zufriedenstellend. Wir hatten einen schönen Tag am Main !!! Weiter so.....

Toller Biergarten will mann einfach reinschauen

Der Ankergarten in Zellingen liegt direkt am Mainradweg. Am besten kommt man mit dem Fahrrad und/oder macht halt auf einer Fahrradtour, es gibt aber auch Parkplätze in der Nähe. Das Team ist sehr jung und absolut kompetent. Die Wartezeiten sind auch bei vollem Betrieb sehr vertretbar (kleiner Tipp: Für nur Getränke kann man an der Theke mit Karte zahlen). Apropos Kartenzahlung: Als das EC-Gerät an einem Tag ausgefallen ist bzw. für längere Zeit nicht funktionierte, wurde problemlos auch eine Lösung für die Leute gefunden, die nur eine Karte dabeihatten. Am liebsten mag ich die Kuchen- und Tortenauswahl, keine 0815 Torten, sondern richtig lecker ausgefallene (Spaghettieistorte, Schokokuss-Torte, Tiramisutorte etc.). Auch die Getränke- und Essensauswahl kann sich sehen lassen Alles in allem kann ich nur empfehlen, dem Ankergarten mal einen Besuch abzustatten.

Sehr nettes und freundliches Personal. Das Ambiente und die Umgebung sind wirklich klasse und laden zum Wohlfühlen ein. Die Currywurst war leider nicht ganz nach unserem Geschmack und daher eher nicht zu empfehlen. Das Zwiebelsteak hingegen war sehr lecker, schön zart und auf den Punkt. Auch die Ofenkartoffel war sehr lecker und angenehm sättigend. Insgesamt ein schöner Besuch mit sehr freundlichem Service.

Ein toller Stopp direkt am Radweg! Der Biergarten punktet mit seinem alten Baumbestand, der auch bei praller Sonne perfekten Schatten spendet. Das Selbstbedienungs-System funktioniert reibungslos: Getränke gehen fix, und für das Essen bekommt man einen Signalgeber. Die Beschilderung ist vorbildlich. Ich hatte das Schnitzel mit Pommes – geschmacklich top und eine ordentliche Portion. Die Qualität der Speisen und die Preise stehen in einem sehr guten Verhältnis. Die freundliche Art der Mitarbeiter rundet den Besuch ab. Absolut empfehlenswert!

Der Biergarten an sich ist ganz nett, aber die Wartezeiten sind wirklich eine Zumutung. An einem Samstag bei schönem Wetter wartet man gute 30 Minuten in der Schlange bis man sein Bier bestellen/bezahlen kann.

Biergarten am Mainradweg in zellingen. War so an sich echt super gemütlich. Jedoch beim Essen war ich ein wenig geschockt. Ein Zwiebelsteak mit Brot für 12.90€ ist sehr sehr überteuert. Ein Steak mit paar Zwiebeln und Brötchen wurde serviert. Schneller Service, sehr nette Bedienung. Aber wird dann noch beim Getränk bleiben das nächstes Mal.

Leider hatten wir auch den Fehler gemacht und uns Currywurst und Curryhähnchen jeweils mit Pommes bestellt. Die hochgelobte Soße hatte einen sehr seltsamen Geschmack. Bei der Zubereitung des weiteren Essens gibt es noch viel Luft nach oben. Die Musik??, eine Zumutung.

Beautiful beer garden with an absolutely delicious snack platter and friendly staff. The opening hours spoil the fun. The decision as to whether the garden is open on the specified days and times is so spontaneous that we found ourselves standing in front of a closed garden twice, even though it should be open. A look at the website before the second attempt also gave no indication that it was closed. Addition: I know that Google can't be changed spontaneously. I can't estimate what would be possible on the website. I'm very sorry, but I couldn't find any indication on the Ankergarten's Instagram page that it was/should be closed due to the weather. I don't have Facebook, but what's freely available didn't indicate that either.

The schnitzel is a joke, but I can't laugh. Barely bigger than a beer mat and just as thin, less than 6mm thick, 4mm of which is breading (meaning no more than 2mm of meat), no side salad, self-service, and all for €14. It's a disgrace, bordering on a rip-off. The beer is okay, normal price.

The ambience was quite nice, the food was pretty poor.

The perfect place to take a break when you're out on your bike. They could do better with the kitchen organization. I waited 10 minutes for a bratwurst in a bun, and during that time, there weren't any on the grill. I'd be happy to go again!

We were surprised! We're from the Karlstadt area, and friends of ours recommended the beer garden to us last week because they supposedly serve delicious vegan bratwurst and lots of vegan cakes and pies. That's not something you'd expect from a beer garden in a rural area, and as vegans, that's not something you'd expect! So we went there today after the swimming pool and had a really great time. ... We both had the vegan currywurst and found it very tasty and fresh. They also offer a few vegan cakes and pies, and to our surprise, even more than non-vegan ones. We opted for a Black Forest gateau and a blueberry cheesecake. Both were also very tasty and fresh. In a conversation with one of the owners, we were also told that the cakes are fresh and homemade. They certainly confirmed this. I can only give this place 5/5. Service: The staff was always polite and competent, and a small error during a cancellation, which resulted in a longer wait for our food, was compensated for by giving us two free slices of cake. They kindly apologized and even accommodated us. These things happen in the heat of the moment and are no problem at all, but we were still happy about the small gesture! 😊 Hence 5/5! We're actually just annoyed that we didn't know about this place before, and we'll definitely be going there more often with other friends in the future. Our vegan friends are especially happy about such a tip, as vegans often only expect fries. See you next time! 😊

We went there on a recommendation because a friend told me they had vegan options – and we were pleasantly surprised! 🌱 They have vegan bratwurst in a bun, currywurst with homemade sauce and fries, and even a vegan falafel salad on the menu (we didn't try it, but the fact that it's there is amazing). Everything we ate was absolutely delicious. A small mistake with the order was sorted out super friendly and personally by the chef – and as an apology, we got vegan cake on the house. (We would have had vegan cake anyway.) The selection was really great: homemade cakes and tarts 🍰 absolutely delicious. They also served cappuccino with oat barista milk – fantastic! The atmosphere was nice and relaxed, and you feel at home. Overall, a really great surprise, especially for a beer garden! You can tell that the work here is done with passion. Highly recommended – we'll definitely be back! 😊

A truly beautiful location. It's also an absolute dream for wedding celebrations. The kids have a playground, delicious food, and a fantastic selection of drinks. Great service. Highly recommended.

Convenient location directly on the Main Cycle Path and the car-free bridge to Retzbach, with easy access to other cycle paths. The food is good. Shaded seating is available. Self-service. I was there twice on the weekend.

One of the most beautiful beer gardens in the region. Located directly on the Main River, it offers shady seating and a pleasant atmosphere. They serve excellent draft beers and the food is excellent! Be sure to try the currywurst with fries. Dogs are welcome.

A large beer garden located directly on the May cycle path. You can sit in the shade under the trees or in the sun. There's a launch area and a small playground. We had the chicken skewer with spicy sauce and fries. It tasted delicious, and the fries were super crispy.

We were there with the whole family on Mother's Day. We'd love to go back again; we loved it.

Burgers and beer every Thursday – what a great idea! The burger is delicious. You can watch it being prepared. The ingredients are fresh and high-quality. The sauce is amazing.

Great little beer garden. Service is nice and courteous. Food plenty taste good. Sausage salad a little too dry. More onions and stock. The Obatzder and the cooking cheese are great. Otherwise everything is good.

It would be a great beer garden if they changed the concept a bit. There should be two cash registers. One for the food and one for the drinks. We would have stayed longer. But waiting twenty minutes before you can order food and drinks is a bit too long. That's why we only had one drink.

A very nice beer garden right on the Main. You sit comfortably under a row of trees providing shade. There is also a playground for the little ones. The food and drink selection is varied. The quality of the food is also good and the portions are large enough. The service reaches its limits when it is at full capacity, but that is normal. Here you should be patient for a few minutes 😉. Ideal for cyclists, families with children or just meeting friends 🍻.

I (basically) drive when I'm near this place just because of that ANCHOR GARDEN there………because It's very comfortable there - in the shade and you can also sit outside! But mainly about such a great one (Snack platter with sausage and cheese etc. as well as other delicious ones Food such as also excellent can eat schnitzel! WE'LL LOVE TO COME BACK HIGHLY RECOMMENDED 👍👍 And look forward to the next one VISIT

If you're passing through by bike, it's a nice place to stop for a little refreshment and maybe something to eat.

It's a shame that the currywurst didn't live up to what we had imagined

On June 23rd, 2024 we anchored garden in Zellingen (right on the bike path). For dinner we had schnitzel and currywurst with fries and Salad, which was all very good The salad in particular was very good turned on.The prices are OK. The staff was friendly, the beer garden was clean, just great under the chestnut trees Shadow. We're happy to come again. We can only recommend you. See you next time.

Beer isn't poured full and if you regulate it's moody. Ordered currywurst with fries, got a fried bratwurst, in my opinion it wasn't currywurst, but the rest of the grill was used.

Very nicely located - very family friendly (playground) Food was extremely carelessly prepared and just as carelessly presented - portions small. The food is significantly too expensive for that. No table service, which is now common practice.

This was last year 2023: Discovered while looking for a well-kept beer garden, but unfortunately it's closed. The owner on site complained about a lack of suitable staff. We find that very, very unfortunate. Hopefully some energetic employees will be found quickly. You'll keep your fingers crossed! From April 30, 2024, initially only open Friday to Sunday and on public holidays. Out of consideration for the neighbors, open until 10 p.m.

A beautifully situated beer garden. Unfortunately, the selection of dishes is not particularly large, which doesn't really have to be the case. However, the prices are high and the staff is unfortunately very inflexible. The steak with fries costs over €12, although the quantity is manageable. If the customer only wants a steak roll, this is difficult if not impossible. This means that the price is roughly estimated. So you suddenly end up with €9.90 (yes, for a steak roll). If you then express criticism that he has miscalculated something, you get the message that the prices are well calculated and the price is completely fine. Besides, there would be enough food on offer... Hey, you can do it that way, but in the long run you shouldn't be surprised if guests stay away. There's a steak on the grill and the roll right next to it. You could almost think that this is a food wish that can hardly be fulfilled... But the price almost made me fall on the floor laughing. We won't be coming back. Price/performance doesn't fit here at all. Even if the meat is regional (that was very important to him). Unfortunately it is and remains just a beer garden.

Very nice idyllic beer garden with a view of the Main. Large selection of drinks and typical beer garden food that was ready very quickly. The associated children's playground, which is protected from the street by the fence, is also nice. We will be back definitely.

I live in Zellingen and was happy that the beer garden has a tenant again. My girlfriend and I really enjoyed the “Anker Helle”. The staff was also very friendly. However, we were unfortunately dissatisfied with the food. I ate a schnitzel with fries. It was ready after about 5 minutes. Unfortunately it wasn't really good. It was a deep fryer schnitzel and was therefore both fatty and tough. My friend's salad was okay, took a long time and the baguette was inedible. It's a shame, I hope you can improve it.

If I could give 10 stars, I would do so straight away. I think that says it all!! Keep it up boys and girls!! A really big cinema for Zellingen ☀️👍😁🌷♥️

On May 10th I went to eat and drink in the Ankergarten after it reopened. I loved the ambience and the food was good too!. I had a salad with honey mustard dressing and fries. For the man there was currywurst. Both tasted great and were prepared quickly! Unfortunately there is no service. Otherwise the team is friendly and accommodating. I will gladly come again!

Update 2023: the location will remain closed this year due to supposed renovations. What!! A beer garden operator renovates during the season, no one can do that for you. Very incomprehensible and a shame not to operate such a premium location. You can tell that the owner doesn't have to make any money. The main reason why they closed is probably the inability to organize and run a store like this. Just give it back if you don't have it.

Wunderschöner Platz zum Verweilen und Schlemmen. Freundliches Personal, leckeres Essen und lecker Weinchen (Bacchus).

Wir hatten das Glück dort als geschlossene Gesellschaft eine kleine Hochzeit feiern zu können. Das hat alles sehr gut geklappt und wir hatten ein entspanntes (Biergarten-)Fest. Es gab alles, was so normalerweise angeboten wird und ein bißchen mehr. Ich empfehle die Grünkernbratlinge mit Kartoffelsalat und Quark. Danke.
