Highly recommended. Our Schimi pub with a wonderfully delicious cappuccino. ☕️ Top service and very clean. The food inspectors just have to open the door and they can leave right away. 😀 Anyone visiting Duisburg shouldn't miss this nostalgic pub.

As a local, I have to say this, but the Ankerbar is worth a visit otherwise. The service and the offerings (food and drinks, such as cocktails) are very good. Update: Still great as of February 25 Update: Still great as of June 25

Quaint & iconic bar, delicious food

We were at the Ankerbar on Saturday for Rainer's 80th birthday. Everything was perfect: excellent drinks and a fantastic buffet. The staff was fantastic, fast, and friendly. Thank you Rainer, thank you ANKERBAR.

Great atmosphere in the former favorite pub of crime scene detective Schimanski, who can be seen in photos and as a mini bust in the pub. Closed on Sundays.

Full 5 stars, I was here spontaneously today and ate the vegetarian dish on the lunch menu. Very tasty and appetizingly prepared. The dishes that I could see at the neighboring tables all looked delicious and appetizing. In any case, it smelled fantastic. The portions are perfect, not too much and not too little. I was actually full, but since tiramisu was on the menu, I couldn't resist. The dessert was also very attractively decorated and was simply delicious. I would have liked to have gotten a napkin here, but I could also have said something. The service is great, very friendly and attentive. The anchor bar is very comfortably furnished, everything is very inviting and clean. I'd love to come back and be surprised by the next vegetarian dish. The prices are fair. Oh yes, the milk coffee is also recommended. Good luck to the new operators, lots of nice guests and all the best Today, 2 years and 3 visits later, I have to improve my very good review a bit. The service has deteriorated significantly. I don't want to say that you are unfriendly, but somehow uninterested. I felt like I was intruding. Too bad. Therefore only 3 stars instead of 5. Food was very good.

Great location, good food, friendly staff and my new favorite pub

There were four of us here and we had a table on Saturday evening at 7:00 p.m. There was a group of 30 people in the restaurant at the same time. Despite this fact, the service was outstanding! The food was very tasty, the cocktails were amazing for the price/performance ratio! The ambience is also really good for a bar/pub! Very cozy, very clean and professional. At the end there was even a shot on the house, we'll definitely be back!

We were in the restaurant today for lunch. There is a lunch menu. The pizza was also very tasty.

The Ankerbar is one of the most beautiful and hospitable places in Duisburg. It's beautifully located on Neumarkt Square; in the summer, you can even sit outside. The staff is very friendly and goes above and beyond to ensure guests' satisfaction. The food (pizza, pasta, salads, snacks) is simply delicious and the prices are absolutely fair. And the Limoncello Spritz is unbeatable! 😉 We wouldn't want to miss the Ankerbar anymore!

Very tasty and a great menu. The drinks are also plentiful. Lovely place! It's difficult to have a conversation with larger groups when it's full. But with two or three people, it's no problem. Everything seems to be made with love. The service is friendly. The pizzas are Neapolitan, which reminds me of a vacation there. The pasta is plentiful and also very well made. Our children love the pizza rolls and are happy to share a portion. There are small games/some activities. You need to make a reservation on weekends.

A very nice bar with good food and nice ambience. We didn't like any of the surrounding pubs/bars, like Ankerbar, although the place was full, we got a seat at the bar after a few minutes. Food was tasty and the service was fine. Just for your information: As shown in the Google images, there are no longer tarte flambées on the menu.

We spent a lovely evening in the anchor bar. We were very satisfied with the service and food. One point is deducted because shortly after 8 p.m. all the tables and chairs were put together and we sat with our table, all alone, on the sidewalk, away from the entrance.

Love that bar. Absolute must do in Duisburg. Amazing pizza, pizza Parma & burruto are my favourites. Selfmade baguette. Great price quality ratio. You won’t regret a visit here.

Nice shop. Prices for Duisburg are quite proud. Service is often a bit sleepy and sloppy. Good location for private parties but be sure to talk about the price of the food beforehand, we had a very negative experience with a buffet!

I now know the previous restaurant for pizza and pasta! Early on Saturday as almost all tables were reserved, friendly reception, small menu, drink arrived very quickly, the place was nice and bright and there was a lot of light in the counter area, it looked very nice! The seating and tables taken over from the predecessor still look nicer now! Pizza was delicious but halfway through the dough became quite stiff and it was a bit dry! A very nice stay when we left all the tables were occupied! Better reserve a table on the weekend! There are still a few tables and chairs in front of the restaurant!

We really liked it, very nice and friendly staff, unfortunately we didn't eat anything, the food looked excellent from the other guests, but we will definitely go there especially for food on our next visit. I'm looking forward to it.

I've been to the Ankerbar in Duisburg-Ruhrort for dinner twice now (with four and eight people). It always tasted good to everyone. The service staff are really friendly and attentive. Were there again yesterday, April 20, 2024. This time to celebrate my birthday. With 8 people. Unanimous opinion: very tasty food, great and cozy atmosphere, very, very nice service and a kitchen that is highly recommended. There is a focus on Italian dishes, but also a changing lunch menu. There are also lots of delicious drinks. The price/performance is unbeatable. It's always a pleasure to come there. Oh yes, on nice days there are also a few outdoor spaces WITHOUT through traffic! We always like to come back. Thanks to the whole team.

We always feel very comfortable in the Ankerbar. So far, every dish has tasted great and the changing lunch menu is always a highlight. Great, friendly and competent staff, alongside a charming "boss". The Ankerbar is definitely worth a visit.

We happened to eat there because we were exploring the beautiful Ruhrort district a little unsafely. After a long walk we went in there without a reservation. The waitress was very nice. The food didn't take long to arrive even though all the tables were occupied. The only thing I really have to complain about is the portions of the salad. Yes, there are pizza rolls with butter on the side, but I think it's not enough. Otherwise everything tasted great.

I felt very comfortable. Small menu with various pasta dishes and a selection of pizzas. Everything is reasonably priced. I'd love to come back.

It's a shame I wanted to eat something hearty in this traditional company. Home-style HEARTY CUISINE, or Schimanski's curry sausage bar, is not on the menu! 🤔 It's a shame I didn't want to go to the Italian restaurant! Maybe the owner should write Pizza Adria or something similar over the door ✍️

We were there for the second time now, the food is really very good! The service is very friendly, due to the fact that there were only two people in service, it took a little longer. Nevertheless, the two were really on the ball, hats off to them! The atmosphere is very cozy, but reservations are definitely required on Saturdays.

The Ankarbar in Ruhrort is a real gem! The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, the staff is incredibly friendly and attentive. The selection of drinks is varied and of excellent quality. A perfect place to meet up with friends or simply spend a relaxing evening. I can highly recommend Ankarbar!

Went there for the first time with the family for my husband's birthday. First impression really great facility. We really liked it. Service top, friendly, nice. Italian food pizza and pasta absolutely delicious. Cocktail excellent. Schimanski pictures also hung as expected. Thank you very much. We'll all be back.

Es ist wunderbar, daß die Legende Schimanski erhalten wird. Zum Beispiel sagte mir eine Freundin, daß am 12.12. ein literarisches Event, Stille Nacht in der Ankerbar, die Atmosphäre in Ruhrort (immer kurz vorm Abgrund) aufgreift. Viel Glück für das zweite Jahr.

Es ist die alte "Schimmi Kneipe" aus dem Schimanski Tatort. Seit einem Jahr unter neuer Leitung. Die Pizza z.B. ist der Wahnsinn. Aber auch die anderen Speisen sind zu empfehlen. Wir waren zuletzt zum Krimi Diner dort. Zum Menu gab es eine Kürbissuppe als Vorspeise, Schweinemedalion an Offenkartoffeln mit Bohnen im Speckmantel. Kaffee Creme zum Desert. Dazu hat Irene Scharenberg aus ihrem "Duisburg Krimi" gelesen.

Wir waren gestern das erstmal dort essen, weil Sie im Gutscheinbuch vertreten waren. Was soll ich sagen?! Mein Hund war erwünscht (Sowas ist nicht selbstverständlich), sie hat sogar einen Napf mit Wasser bekommen und das Essen war wirklich Spitze. Die Pizzen, Die Nudeln alles war erstklassig. Selbst Preislich kann ich in keinster Weise meckern. Wir werden dort öfters essen gehen. Personal war auch top!

Ich habe mich hier sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Muscheln und die Pizzabrötchen waren sehr lecker! Liegt ein wenig abseits im Wohngebiet, aber der Weg hat sich gelohnt. Kein langer Fußweg zum ÖPNV.

Macht weiter so. Tolles Ambiente, netter Service.. besonders zu erwähnen ist die „scharfe“ Variante der Spaghetti mit Gambas 😉 LG

Durch Zufall gefunden. Diese Gaststätte wurde komplett saniert und modernisiert. Somit gibt es es in Ruhrort eine tolle Anlaufstelle. Auch die Tische draußen sind sehr nett, da kein Durchgangsverkehr. Die Pizzabrötchen mit den 3 Schalen wurden nett drapiert. Auch der Cappuccino war sehr lecker. Auch drin ist es gemütlich. Mit Blick auf Schimmi. Das ist Heimatgefühl und wecken Erinnerungen an früher. Komme bestimmt wieder.

Haben als Gäste in Ruhrort ein Restaurant gesucht und die Ankerbar gefunden. Hier gibt es Pizza Pasta und Co vom Feinsten. Die Gambas vom Salat waren auf den Punkt gebraten und der Pizzateig knusprig. Auch die Getränke dazu waren sehr schön angerichtet und der Service nett und kompetent. Wir sind zufrieden und satt zu unserem Womo Platz zurück und kommen beim nächsten Duisburg Besuch gerne wieder

Schöne Bar in Ruhrort, sehr nah am Rhein , man sitz draußen gemütlich, drinnen ist es auch cool eingerichtet, Pizza ist erstaunlich gut für eine „Kneipe“ oder Bar und die Cocktails sind auch sehr gut!

Sind spontan hier eingekehrt. Super leckere Pizza und sehr nettes Personal. Keine allzulange Wartezeit auf die Gerichte. Alte Kultbar Schimmi war auch mal hier👍🏻 Kann mann nur zu empfehlen. Würden immer wieder herkommen.

Welch ein Glück für Ruhrort, daß dieses nette Paar das Lokal übernommen hat! Alle Speisen sind ziemlich frisch und liebevoll zubereitet. Die Bedienung ist freundlich und schnell. Dezent ist erkennbar, daß Schimanski hier früher ausfallend diskutiert hat. Aber da wird kein Kult draus gemacht. Die Keramikabteilung ist mustergültig sauber. Es gibt Zeiten, für die man einen Platz reservieren muß. Mit etwas Glück findet man einen Parkplatz auf dem Markt. Der Laden hat Stil. Es wurde festgestellt, daß wir öfter da sind. Jetzt auch Kartenzahlung.

Eine Ort und Ruhrort, an dem niemand vorbei gehen sollte. Mit Herzblut, Risiko und dem Glauben an Ruhrort, ist hier ein Ort entstanden, den Ruhrort immer schon immer brauchte und immer brauche wird. Danke!!!
